Expressions in Ink & Create with Friends

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Oh my … Oh my …. I hate to say goodbye! And what make me sadder is that I’m loosing two of my favorites!! Don’t get me wrong, I’m so excited and can’t wait to see all the new stamps and stuff in the upcoming catalog but the amazing “Expressions In Ink” Designer Series Paper AND the “Create with Friends” are both retiring. These papers have ribbons of gold foiling running through the beautiful jewel tone colors like Evening Evergreen, Jade, Magenta Madness, and Pale Papaya….

I understand why it’s retiring …. some of the colors used in the designer paper are also retiring. Here is one of the cards I created using the Pale Papaya (this one is here for another year) ….

The beautiful water color design add such a natural look … as if I created it myself! Luckily it was done for me and I had no mess to deal with!!

I teamed up my Expressions in Ink Designer Paper with the “Creating with Friends” stamp set. This stamp set is fun and easy to work with, and you can create an multitude of options …

Don’t you just love all of the different options for greeting you can create with this stamp set? I kept it simple by just saying … “You’re Amazing” and I stamped it in the Polished Pink and Pale Papaya ink.

Since we are in the holiday spirit … here is a none traditional Christmas card I created with the help of the Tidings & Trimmings bundle (also RETIRING) which is also found in the Annual Catalog.

Lets show off some of our jewel tones with the Just Jade and Evening Evergreen. WOW … this card is stunning in it’s simplicity of greens and gold embossed greeting. Add a few Gilded Gems to finish off your card and you can head to the party early!

Speaking of stunners … this beauty had it’s greeting done on vellum so you could still see the beautiful patterned paper. Are you falling in love with this yet? At first glance I knew I had to have this paper, and of course the stamp set because the go together perfectly.

Oh … I’m not done yet, I have another that I’d like to share with you! Just like on my first card, I used the Daisy punch and highlighted the In Color Shimmer Vellum, the Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack and the 2021-2023 In Color Jewels. Another simple yet stunning card.

Thanks so much for joining me for my card parade. I’d love to hear what you think about this amazing paper AND awesome stamp set!!

Enjoy your day ~

Expressions & Daffodils Card …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Woo Hooo … the weekend is finally here and so is another fab card share from the Daffodil Daydream bundle. Are you enjoying it so far? Today’s card highlights our daffodils and I teamed it up with the stunning Expressions in Ink Designer paper. I am really excited to share this card with you today ….

The daffodil look so pretty against this designer paper. I have a 4″ x 5-1/4″ Gold Foil mat behind the designer paper and the daffodils to make the “golds” pop on this card. I die cut the daffodil mat from the center of my main mat … paper saving!

Now let’s get down to the flowers… they are stamped with VersaMark on Basic White cardstock and heat embossed with gold. Once embossed, I knew I wanted to leave the outer petals white and the trumpet yellow. I used the Light Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends to lay the base of color, then I added some of the Dark Daffodil Delight.

To give more depth to the trumpet I added just a hint of Light Pumpkin Pie … then blended it again with the Light Daffodil Delight. I used Stampin’ Blends to color so it had that “watercolor” look that is highlighted in the Expressions in Ink Designer Paper. The stems and leaves were blended the same way using the Old Olive Combo pack, and the Light Soft Succulent. The Soft Succulent added the “bluish-green” tints you see in the designer paper.

To finish off my flowers I added Wink of Stella to the white petals … you can see it in the photos but it is even more stunning to they eye!

My greeting is stamped in Old Olive and comes from the Inspired Thoughts stamp set. I tied my bouquet and greeting together with the beautiful Old Olive/Pretty Peacock Reversible Ribbon…. another reason I added the Soft Succulent to the greenery on this card. I finished it off with the Gilded Gems, wow … that really ties the entire card together and adds even more dimension and texture. Love it!

If you would like to purchase this bundle, or learn more about it, just click on the links at the bottom of my blog. If you need a catalog … please let me know.

Thanks for joining me today.

Have a great weekend ~

Expressions in Ink: Card Parade

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Many of the designer papers in the Mini catalog may be “SOLD OUT” but today I want to focus on the amazing designer papers in the Annual Catalog (One of my Favorites!!) Today I have a card that I created using the amazing “Expressions In Ink” Designer Series Paper. Many of the papers have ribbons of gold foiling running through the beautiful jewel tone colors like Evening Evergreen, Jade, Magenta Madness, and Pale Papaya….

During one of my LIVE demonstrations, I showed my attendee’s how simple it was to cut these designer papers to maximize it’s beauty and have NO waste! Here is one of the cards I created ….

The beautiful water color design add such a natural look … as if I created it myself! Luckily it was done for me and I had no mess to deal with!!

Merry & Bright in Polished Pink!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I’m doing a twist on my card today … a simple card to start and then I will gradually add some elements to lift the card to another level. Let’s begin with a little “fun” …. What do you get when you cross the Tidings of Christmas with the Expressions in Ink? A totally non-traditional Christmas card … in “PINK”!!

I began with the stunning Expressions in Ink Designer Series Paper in the new Polished Pink that is beautifully entwined with gold foils, so naturally I would use a Gold Foil mat and a Polished Pink card base.

I stamped the greeting in VersaMark and heat embossed it with the Gold Embossing Powder. My greeting comes from the Tidings & Trimmings Stamp Set. We could leave this card simply as is but, check this out ….

Before I attached the Gold Foil card base, I die cut some of those pretty little starts from the Tidings & Trimmings bundle!! This ads such and elegant touch to our beautiful Expressions in Ink Designer paper.

We went from a simply beautiful non-traditional “PINK” Christmas card to one that is simply stunning! Don’t forget to use the leftover pieces of designer paper to deck out the inside of your card.

Thanks for hanging out with me today!! See, you never know when I’m able to post a “requested” card.

Enjoy and have a beautiful Sunday ~

Simply Sunday: Expressions of Friendships

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~ Let me wish any guys out there a “Happy Father’s Day” and a Happy Sunday to all of you. Today I have some great cards for you … If you are looking for some unique, pretty and simple ways to make cards, I have the answer for you today ….

Get yourself the “Create with Friends” stamp set, a package of “Expressions in Ink” Designer Series paper, and a package of “Guilded Gems” and you’ll be ready to create cool, quick cards!

Don’t you just love the pretty patterns of this paper, oooooh … then add gold and it’s irresistible. Now it’s time for the “Create with Friends” stamp set …

Now it’s time to get stampin’ and combine the two together … the hardest part will be deciding which one of the beautiful papers you want and what greeting you’d like on it. Maybe you want to send a card to a special friend, you can combine the stamps to create your own greeting …

I used Polished Pink cardstock and ink to coordinate with my designer paper. The watercolor splits perfectly in the center so you can highlight your greeting. It’s so pretty and so easy! #simplestamping

Let’s continue with another pattern, this time the designer paper was cut so the exposed area is on the side … a perfect place for our greeting.

I thought it would be pretty to emboss my greeting in gold to highlight the gold that is laced through the watercolor design of the paper. I think this card is perfect for birthday’s, a graduation, a new job … anything! On both cards I have decided to use the Gilded Gems, not only to coordinate but to add more depth and texture to the cards. They are way prettier than they appear on the cards.

I’m so happy you stopped by today to take a look. I hope you are having a wonderful day… Thank you.

Simply Sunday … Shimmer Vellum

Hello Stampin’ Friends!!

Hope you are enjoying your weekend, it’s a HOT one!! lol I’m busy cleaning, organizing, and getting some stamping in too! Today I’d like to share a card with you that I made during my Facebook LIVE last week so some of you may have seen it, but I’ve got a close up for you!!

I was showing different ways to use the NEW Shimmer Vellum, so today I will show you one of the simplest ways … just punch it! It’s the perfect way to embellish a beautiful designer paper such as the Expressions in Ink. Take a look ….

Is this a stunner or what!? This is why I love Stampin’ Up! products … it’s all about the coordination! We start with the Polished Pink card base and then I chose the Expressions In Ink Designer Paper that highlights the Polished Pink color with that amazing watercolor effect and laced with gold!!

I added a gold mat behind the designer paper to really enhance the gold ripples throughout the designer paper. I punched out my Polished Pink Vellum flowers using the Medium Daisy Punch, but I wasn’t done yet ….

I added a few embellishments from the Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack … more coordination! and by positioning my daisies slightly over the frame, it all ties together perfectly. This close up shows the true shimmer of our vellum, and how these products go together perfectly.

I dazzled my daisies with the NEW In-Color Jewels … but, instead of using the Polished Pink, I chose the Pale Papaya! They pick up the pink from the vellum and have a hint of gold … Perfect! I love the way they look.

This card was so fun and easy to make, but it’s a stunner and your friends are going to love it. And just think, the Expressions in Ink Designer paper have “more” of our In-Colors so it will coordinate with more of our Shimmer Vellum and In-Color Jewels … you can’t go wrong!!

Thank you for taking time out of your day to visit.

Have a wonderful day ~

Expressions in Ink: You’re Amazing

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Don’t you just love all of the different options for greeting you can create with this stamp set? I kept it simple by just saying … “You’re Amazing” and I stamped it in the Polished Pink and Pale Papaya ink.

Using the Medium Daisy Punch, I added the flower, however, as Kathie D. commented during the demonstration … it was pretty even before we added the daisy!! The center was punched from a piece of scrap out of the same paper.

I used the Pale Papaya faceted glitter gems from the Genial Gems that were introduced in our new Annual Catalog to add some texture and a pop of glitz around the greeting You can find these cute gems on page 142.

Thanks so much for stopping by for a spell today. I’d love to hear what you think about this amazing paper!!

Enjoy your day ~

Simply Sunday: Expressions In Ink

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~ I trust you are having a wonderful weekend. Today I’d like to add a splash of color with the stunning Expressions In Ink Designer Series Paper. This gorgeous paper is in tune with Simple Stamping but you are going to look like an artist!

You will recognize this paper as it adorns the front of our New 2021-22 Annual Catalog. I chose the floral pattern in Magenta Madness and also used that color as my cardbase. The paper is simply cut 6″ x 4″ and then trim it down to 5-1/4″ … this will fit the front of your card, leaving a nice border of Magenta Madness around it. You will use the 3/4″ piece that you cut off on the inside of your card … it fits nicely on the 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White.

With the beautiful gold throughout this design, I felt using gold embossing powder for my greeting was perfect. I’m using the New Create with Friends stamp set and I embossed it on a 1-1/2″ strip of Vellum Cardstock. Making this card was super simple and yet looks so elegant. To complete the look, I used the Gilded Gems … the largest ones because they “hide” the small Stampin’ Dimensionals!!

I can’t wait to show you even more at my Catalog Launch Party … be sure to get connect with me. Here is the link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/296817105346109 Then just simply request membership! Fellow demonstrators are welcome to follow along, but are excluded from the prizes, as they are reserved for my customers and downline. I appreciate your understanding.

Thank you for taking time out of your Sunday to visit with me and my blog! I truly appreciate your time.

Enjoy the day ~
