As promised, I’m back to share my Alternative Card from the Key to My Heart Paper Pumpkin kit. I used most of the items from the January kit except for the Vellum oval that I cut from the Framed Florets Dies.
The original design has 3 padlocks on the front … I borrowed one! Then I knew I wanted to use the Key to “unlock” their heart. I used the vellum oval to really highlight my heart lock and key, and with dimensionals on back, it gives it dimension as well.
I added a little bow to my key which is included in the January Paper Pumpkin kit, and it ties in the color of our heart lock. Then I stamped my greeting in Fresh Freesia and trimmed the ends off the banner.

How cute and how simple, right! Let’s start with the “Candy Cane” tag ….
And now for the card…
You can create this super simple alternative card with a Mint Macaron card base and the magic of a quarter sheet of the Snowflake Specialty paper.
Here is a look at the “Santa” tag ….
To create this card you simply stamp the background as shown in the video …
and with a few additional colors added, Cherry Cobbler mat and the Crumb Cake card base, you end up with a fun card.
Let’s take a look at our last tag, the “Express Delivery ….
Another easy alternative to the tag is the next card ….
I used the Brick Embossing Folder on the 3 – 4″ x 1-1/2″ strips layered onto a Basic White Base. Don’t you love using the “scrap” little dots from the tag for an embellishment!?
You may have noticed that I stuck pretty close to what was in the kit except for the cardstock. I did have a little more fun with my fourth card….
I used a Basic White cardbase and one of the cards from the Santa Expess Memories and More Card kit for my background. The white circle and the sparkly tag are from the kit and then I added the snowflake from the Wonderful Snowflakes embellishments. Speaking of embellishments …. I also added a few Iridescent Rhinestone for even more bling!

Today I’m sharing some fun Paper Pumpkin information. I will get you my alternative tomorrow and I appreciate your patience. It’s been a whirlwind week … My youngest daughter was admitted into the hospital (after 5 doctor visits) with a severe eye infection. Then to find out that one of my granddaughters was involved in a car accident … so scary. The police officer said he was surprised any of them survived. She was admitted into the hospital and released with a broken arm which will need surgery.
On the bright side … my daughter Nicki is finally seeing an improvement and the doctors are taking her off the continuous antibiotic IV to the oral antibiotics. Whew!! If that works, she will finally be able to leave the hospital. And my Destiny “only” has a broken arm … I thank God and all our Guardian Angels for watching over us this week.
