Hello, Irresistible suite & FUN and Easy Embossing Technique

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~ Today I’m sharing the video replay of my Facebook LIVE and I’m highlighting the Hello, Irresistible suite and a FUN and Easy Embossing Technique. Then I’ll share an alternative design using Black Ink verses the White Embossed flowers you see in the video …

This suite is so fun to work with and the flowers … well, they are perfect for so many techniques. Embossing is one of my all time favorite techniques because it adds an elegance and texture to your cards, and when you combine it with a touch of ink … you get depth too.

I used the designer paper for the background and to cut out the leaves, so if you are used to embossing or die cutting, you will find this card pretty easy to recreate. Overall, I would give it a medium rating.

Now for the “Black” ink card. I used a lot of the same materials and the dauber technique as well. I cut the leaves out as I did on the first card but used the “other” awesome die in the bundle. Check this out …

The card base is Basic Black and cut 11″ x 4-1/4″, scored and folded at 5-1/2″, and the second black piece is cut to 3-3/4″ x 3-3/4″ and then die cut with the circular die. The card front is Petal Pink (same as the small flower) and measures 4″ x 5-1/4″.

And this time I added the “purple” adhesive dots for my purple fans! Both card were fun to make and somewhat similar but they really look different! I love it 🙂

Hope you enjoyed today’s cards, and thanks to those who came over to my blog from Facebook to check it out.

Have a great day … Linda

Tasteful Textures: Just Believe Card …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Wooo hooo … it’s Friday!  And I’m excited to share one of the three cards that my Stamp Club made this month. This month we highlighted the stunning Tasteful Textures bundle. Shabby chic has just reached another level with the beautifully designed Tasteful Textures Stamp Set! With sentiments to make someone happy.

Create flowery die-cut backgrounds in record time using the Tasteful Backgrounds Dies. Dies help you create unique die cuts with just a quick run through your die-cutting and embossing machine. Best of all, this one is currently on Sale for only $21 which brings purchasing these two items separately cheaper than the bundle!!

The card was created with the floral die cut which shows off the beautiful Pretty Peacock Foil from the Noble Peacock Foil Sheets.  The club members were shown paper saving techniques along with some fun sponging tips to create a beautiful background.

I think this stamp set is perfect for what’s going on in the world today, we need to “Just Believe” that we will all get through this. Believe that “Good Things are Sure to Happen”. I believe they already have …

Check out the sentiments to this stamp set again, you will agree that it really reflects what we are going through and how we are feeling.  My favorite …. “Take time to do what makes your soul happy” I think many of us have found a little bit of that while we go through these uncertain times. Many of you have re-discovered your creativity … or is it that we just have a little more time.

I have a SPECIAL OFFER for you …

A Friend Chooses You Card …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Brrrrr … It’s a cold one here in Wisconsin, we’re sitting at about 1° Fahrenheit!! Yesterday it was in the 30’s with the wind blowing the melting snow like water.  It’s been a weird winter and I can’t wait for spring!  Spring is warm and full of butterflies and so is my card I have for you today …

I used the Beauty Abounds bundle for today’s card with a spring-like color pallet and our basic black to really make the card pop!!  The designer paper is from the Botanical Butterflies that you can get for FREE in our Sale-a-bration catalog. When you purchase the Beauty Abounds bundle you can pick out the Botanical Butterflies Designer Series paper for free.

I love that the Flamingo has a hint of orange, it gives it such a … well, Flamingo color!  To make it even pop more and to create a beautiful depth in the butterfly, we sponged color on color (Flirty Flamingo on Flirty Flamingo) It is an old technique that is still going strong today … it add so much depth to your projects …

I did the insides of the smaller butterflies and the outer edges of the larger butter, mainly because my greeting was going in the center of the card and would cover the center of the larger butterfly.  I cased they layout of the card directly from the 2019 Occasions Catalog and just tweeked it a bit to reflect my style … the sponging and the beautiful designer paper background.

We also made this card at my February Stamp Clubs. We used the double dies to created the layered look with the Basic Black on top and popped them all up with the Mini Dimensionals.

The greeting “A friend is someone who chooses you …” comes from the Beauty Abounds stamp set and inside it says “out of a whole world of people”. So besides the beautiful butterflies which were a favorite of my Mom’s, the verses in this bundle are outstanding.

Soooo …. pretty!! I know the other butterfly set really took off, but this one is my favorite ❤ the images, the font and the meaning of the verses is what did it for me.

Thank you for joining me on this chilly day, I hope it’s warmers wherever you are!

Have a fabulous day ~

TODAY’S STAMPING SUPPLY LIST …

Are You Afraid of the Dark?

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’m going to take you to a “spooky” place … the dark side! I showed my Stampin’ Technique club this month a neat way of sponging a background on a colored piece of cardstock …

We began with the So Saffron cardstock and started sponging with the Crushed Curry. I like the way the Curry bring depth to the yellow tones. Next we blending in Tangerine Tango and finally blended our edge in Cajun Craze. It creates a bit of a haunting effect … don’t you think?

Now that I had my background complete I wanted to add something new … I’ve been dying to get my hands on the “Sleigh Ride” Edgelits Dies (but why wait till Christmas!)

I used the “trees” die and added it to my background … yes, I liked the look. Hmmm … what next, the Spider Web Doily of course! Yes … I liked that too!

Yes, it’s a bit on the dark side, but I figured even Halloween likes to shine, so I matted my background with the silver glimmer paper and added my “Spooky” greeting also from the silver greeting. You can find “spooky” in with the Seasonal Frame thinlits dies.

It’s a bit unique yes, but I liked the way the glimmer paper lighted it all up. A little Hocus Pocus I would say!

Thank you so much for “dropping” in.

I hope you have a fabulous Friday!
