Simple Birthday Shaker Card!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Shake it, Shake it baby … oooh, oooh!! I am excited to tell you that the stunning “Feels Like Frost” Designer Paper is on SALE in our clearance rack!! This was one of our HOTTEST designer papers that I can remember! With it’s gorgeous wintry patterns or touches of spring, the realitic look is nothing less than stunning.

I’m going to repost my video for you as well … maybe a refresher from some, but I’m happy to share it again to my new subscribers can get a look at this EASY New way to make Shaker Cards. Sit back, relax and enjoy …

Isn’t that a cool idea … using clear envelopes to create shaker cards. So quick and easy!! I had so much fun making the cards. You begin with your 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ card base scored at 4-1/4″ … fold in half. Your designer paper will be cut 4″ x 5-1/4″ – you could put some cardstock behind it if your want it a little sturdier for tying bows.

My next card is made with the Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper…

I began with a Highland Heather base and then slide my Feels Like Frost into the Clear Envelope before sprinkling in the Snowflake Sequins in. I was amazed at the change in the sequins … it picked up the color from the designer paper.

The ribbon was the fun part and accented the stunning paper, beautifully! I used the Layered Circle die and the stitched edge die from the Warm Hugs bundle.

When I trimmed the designer paper down to 4″ x 5-1/4″ … I used a piece of the scrap on the inside of the card. The Metallic Edge Ribbon is easily dyed with the Stampin’ Blends. You can also use our regular markers or even your ink refills!

I hope you enjoyed seeing how easy it is to create the fun and beautiful cards. Don’t forget you can even embellish the outside a little too!!

Thanks so much for hanging out with me today. Hope you were inspired to create “Shaker Cards” like I was when I saw it. I have listed the items used in the cards for your convenience.

Have a wonderful day ~

Let’s Trim the Town …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’d like to share my collection of cards that I created using the Coming Home Bundle / Trimming the Tree Product Suite. The “SUITE” includes …

the “bundle” at a 10% savings, the designer paper, ribbons, and embellishments. The bundle includes the stamp set and dies … 10% savings! Lets take a look at all you can do with this product suite!

My first card highlights two of the patterns in the beautiful Trimming the Town Designer Series paper. I complimented this with the Beautiful World Bundle. The designer paper says holiday greetings in many languages … thus the world! Stampin’ Up! makes it easy to mix and create with several bundles.

My next card is a pretty quick -n- easy card to create. The background is our designer paper, the snow is cut with the dies, and then I hand stamped and colored a cozy cabin in the woods. This would also make a cute birthday card!

Ready for fun and a “waste not” card? The snow scene was created with the die and I flipped the middle one over so the curve was opposite of the others. Then because the dies actually cut out images from the designer paper … I cut out the ones on the bottom that were “not” full houses and buried them in the snow!!

I used the designer paper with the multi-language greetings again to highlight my Snow Globe Ornament. This was actually very easy to create and makes for a FUN card for the recipient!!

I loved using the Trimming the Town Designer paper to decorate the “other side” of the Christmas Countdown kit! The kit comes with everything you need to create a Christmas Countdown calendar, so … when they took out the candy and flipped the little boxes around … the created a cute winter scene!!

Here is my version of the “Slimline” Card … so easy to create when you are working with a designer paper that already has the perfect scene on it!!

This card highlights the designer paper … the background, tree and “layered” house are all cut from the designer paper. This card also features the “Foam Adhesive Sheets” … these are so cool to create with, it’s a double sided adhesive sheet that you can die cut!!

Here (above) is my “Shaker Card” created with an envelope … You heard that right, a clear envelope! It is FUN … Easy and you can Learn How when you CLICK HERE and watch my video! More of that amazing designer paper!! Here is another that would work perfectly as a snowy Birthday card!!

Ahhh … yes, my hand built retreat house!! This card shows how you can layer the houses to build on as big as you would like. I wanted a nice big one so I could invite you all to stamp with me!!

Last but not least is my simply pretty card that showed you how the new Blending Brushes can create a background to highlight your focal point. This card was showcased on yesterdays blog post.

I hope you enjoyed going through all of my “Coming Home” cards … this suite / bundle is fun and easy to create with. You still have two more days before it is gone forever. I listed the supplies below.

Ode’ To My Stampin’ Friends ~

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I will be sharing the card I made last night (and updated!) and the video. I changed up the card just a bit … because I had shared how to use the Foam Adhesive Sheets, I thought that you should see how it looks on this card! The layers are amazing and I can’t wait for you to see it …

Yes … I popped up the tree as well and I die cut my greeting using the Foam Adhesive Sheets!!

I will be sharing the card with the hand stamped houses tomorrow along with the little die cut house which will include a video!! Here is the video from last night for those who missed the Facebook LIVE ….

To view the video … just click on it.

There was a lot of information to share, and I was a bit under the weather but I hope you enjoyed the stamping tips and the New Foam Adhesive Sheets and how you can use with the dies!! I love that 🙂

You many have noticed that I used dimensionals to pop up the tree as well had how we popped up the layers to our house last night. You can also see that I did find a place for the heart … but that was after I decided to try cutting the “miss you” from the “Well Written” Dies from the Annual Catalog.

I was amazed and thrilled at how wonderfully my die cut greeting cut out of the foam and really turned out. When I pulled the die from the foam, the die cut foam remained in the die, so I I left and then pushed out the centers to expose the word. Because the back was already off, it exposed the adhesive so I laid it directly onto my card and then pulled the die off.

You do see the little marks from the die so I used “Wink of Stella” to not only highlight my greeting but to distract they eye from those little marks … it worked!! I also put Stella onto the heart … it darkened the color a little and gave it the sparkly sheen we all love from stella!! It just really makes the card pop!

I’m thrilled at how our card turned out and I thank those of you who helped out last night! The greeting is an ode’ to you … my stampin’ friends. I truly “Miss You” and stamping with you in person, whether it was in Club, Classes or at my Retreats … I Miss You!!

Thank you for following my blog posts, for hanging out with me on my Facebook LIVES and joining me during my LIVE Stamp Parties!! I have another coming soon, and will be posting the information shortly.

I’ll be back tomorrow with the “stamped” houses and a video!

Enjoy your New Years Eve ~

Simply Sunday: Christmas Around the World

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have a special card I would like to share with you. This card was created during my “Countdown to Christmas” virtual party during my “Stamp with Me” session yesterday. What a wonderful collaboration it was! Here is what we came up with ….

We were using the “Trimming the Town” Suite … They chose the base color of Misty Moonlight, which house we were going to use, how many trees and which of the two colors from the “All the Trimmings” ribbon we were going to use.

I chose the designer paper with Christmas greetings is the different languages because 2020 has been a year like no other… and we all went through this together. For some this pandemic and election has divided us but my WISH for Christmas is to realize life is short, don’t sweat the small stuff, and make it all small stuff … it’s time to gather our hearts together.

We used the Snow Globe dies and Shaker Domes to create our ornament on the card. The house and tree were cut out using the Home Together Dies from the Trimming the Town product suite. A dash of glittery snow was added and our card was complete!

They are so cute and super easy to make … they could also be made into gift tags to add to your presents!!

Thank you for joining me today, I hope your Sunday is Simply beautiful.

Simple Shaker Cards!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Shake it, Shake it baby … oooh, oooh!! I am excited to share with you today to cards that I created for my Technique Tuesday, Facebook LIVE. I’m sharing a super simple way to make Shaker Cards that I saw at my OnStage event last weekend.

The demonstration was done by fellow demonstrator Rosemarrie Gonzalez. She shared a really fun new suite with Ice Cream cones and Popcicles … your going to love it! But until then, let me know you the technique. Sit back for a few minutes and watch my Facebook LIVE from last night. Just click on the image below to watch the video …

On this card I used the Trimming the Town Suite … I’ve used the designer paper and the All the Trimmings Ribbon Combo. The Snowflake Sequins are encased in the Clear Envelope.

The sweet little greeting comes from the Little Treats stamp set from the Little Sweets Bundle.

I had some die cut pieces left over from our Holiday Catalog & Virtual Retreat Party and used them on the inside of the card. They are die cut from the designer paper!

My next card is made for my daughters December birthday, and features the Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper.

Ho Ho Ho … Look at the Snow!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

They say third time is a charm, so today is my third and last (for now) in my series of cards from the Trimming the Town Suite Collection. Today I’ll be using the dies from the bundle with focus on the Trimming the Town designer paper.

Our back ground is Pool Party and Snow … well, Whisper White cut into hills of fluffy layers of snow.

The dies not only cut out the stamped images but they also cut the house images on your designer paper … now that is what I call extra value.

I have another great tip that will bring even more value to your bundle … when cutting out the images on your designer paper (yes, you can cut out the trees too!) Don’t forget to cut the partial images as well … this is what I used, and hid them behind the snow!!

With our partial buildings and trees deep in the snow banks, I couldn’t help but add those sweet little Adhesive-backed Snowflakes.

This next picture shows a spattering of the “Wink of Stella” … this is done by tapping it onto a marker or such…

Just a reminder ….

When you purchase the Coming Home Stamp set individually or as part of the bundle or suite … $3 will be donated to charities devoted to adoption, foster care, and infertility. You can help make a difference in the lives of those affected.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Have a great day ~

From My Home to Yours …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today is the second in my series of cards from the Trimming the Town Suite Collection. Today I’ll be using the dies from the bundle along with the designer paper.

The Trimming the Town designer series paper is the backdrop to the card … with the forest of trees and a sprinkling of snow, it’s the perfect setting for my cabin.

I stamped my cabin on Whisper White with Tuxedo Black Momento ink and then colored it with the Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends. I also used the Real Red for the Door and So Saffron for the Windows.

The snow was cut from the die included in the Coming Home Bundle… The greeting comes from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set.

The “Warm Wishes” greeting fits perfectly in this serene setting. I have fallin’ in love with this bundle… besides being an amazing bundle/suite, you can make a difference with the purchase of the set …
