Happy Birthday Pumpkin!

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

As promised … today I will share with you an alternative project from the March Paper Pumpkin. The stamps in this months kit are just too cute …

6a00e54f95df92883401b8d0eda0f7970c

I decided to turn the note card into a full card, so I used Basic Black for the base, cut the note card into 2 pieces and matted it onto Pool Party.

I wanted the “Birthday” to be my focal point so I trimmed my cardstock for the greeting down to 2-1/4″ x 3-1/4″ and stamped it in the Basic Black. I think the little stickers are so cute, so I added all 3 of the diamonds to the front. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back to pop it up and give the card some extra dimension.

000_2076

I couldn’t resist adding the cute little “You’re a Gem” stamp inside, topped off with the diamond stamped on top in Pool Party. I believe I’m going to have a lot of fun with this set.

Butterfly Birthday Wishes …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

I hope you have been able to enjoy the beautiful weather we have been having (in Wisconsin) … today we are suppose to hit 70 degrees!

Spring is such a wonderful time a year …. renewal, rebirth, and return of that glorious warm sunshine. Today’s card share was inspired by spring …

000_2070

A card filled with butterflies. I used Wisteria Wonder and Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper!

I cut my butterfly out of the glimmer paper that I used for my mat … it’s a great way to save money.

000_1901

I then simply placed the Whisper White embossed piece … I used the Spring Flowers folder from the Occasions Catalog.

000_2068

A simple Happy Birthday  is all it needed and I got that from the “And Many More” stamp set … I love the whimsical font, it’s so pretty and goes beautifully with our butterflies.  I used the Word Window punch for my greeting.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card share, and I thank you for stopping by.

Have a wonderful weekend ~

They say … “It’s Your Birthday”

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I am going to share one of the cards that we made at our February Technique Club. If you haven’t heard, I have started an on-line Stampin’ Technique Club. All  you need to do to join for the month is purchase $35 or more (before shipping & handling) from My Website during that current month.

It’s a great opportunity to collect my 6″ x 6″ Technique Sheets! You will also get a minimum of a card or project using that technique. Some of my former club members are already enjoying the benefits… now you can too. Our March technique is our new “Blendabilities” markers!

Today’s cards technique is “Blendabilities meets Heat Embossing”….

000_2044

We also teamed this technique up with a past technique my club members learned … the Blackboard Technique!

We used the “Balloon Bash” stamp set on our Basic Black cardstock, however you could use our new Blackboard paper that can be found in the Occasions Catalog.

Using designer paper on a card is a very cost effective way to jazz up your card and I used the “Birthday Bash Designer Specialty Paper” for this card. I love the confetti and glitz on this pattern.

000_2050

Today’s card has an added little punch to it … the little birthday cake from the “Amazing Birthday” stamp set. Also, if you flip open the card, you will see that I’ve added a bit more of the Birthday Bash paper to create a pouch for a gift card!

000_2046

I love how so many of the Stampin’ Up! stamp sets and accessories coordinate and make our cards dazzle!!

Click on any of the links above to view the product details or visit my website 🙂

Hope you are having a wonderful day, and I thank you for dropping by.

Stampin’ Technique Club by Mail!

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Yesterday I introduced that I will now be hosting a “Technique Club by Mail” … I have been asked several times if I would start up a technique club that could be done by mail.

Here’s how it works …
Each month with an on-line purchase of $35 or more (before shipping & taxes) I will send you a completed 6 x 6 Technique sheet which has the instructions and a sample of the technique for that month.

You will also get a minimum of 1 project (usually a card). Everything will be completed for you and sent directly to your home.

Here is just one of the projects that we did this month, using the technique, Blendabilites Meets Heat Embossing.

000_2003

We combined this technique with the “Chalkboard Technique” which we did earlier this year.

You can find what technique I will be doing each month on my website’s calendar. You may choose to participate that month with your purchase, or wait till the next month.

When you place your order and Stampin’ Up! notifies me of the purchase, I will send out your techniques! Don’t forget … we are currently in the middle of Sale-a-bration, so a $50 order will get you the technique sheets, projects and a Free Sale-a-bration item!

shopnow

It’s a great way to build your technique book, the only thing better is being in one of the technique clubs I host in my Stampin’ Studio!

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks so much for checking out my blog today!

Stay Warm ~

TODAY’S STAMPIN’ SUPPLY LIST …

Sending Wishes Your Way …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

How are you today? Ready to kick off a new week?

I’m here to kick off your week with a new card, a birthday card, sending wishes your way. The greeting comes from the stamp set “Butterfly Basics” in the Occasions Catalog.

000_1921

I paired it up with a fun pattern from the “Confetti Celebration” designer series paper. Here’s another series of papers that can be easily used for gender neutral cards.

I tied it together with the beautiful “3/8″ stitched satin ribbon” in Tangelo Twist.

000_1924

I carried the ribbon to the inside as well to add a pop of color and texture. The “Happy Birthday” also comes from the “Butterfly Basics” stamp set. Did you know that the Butterfly Basics stamp set is available in Wood, Clear and Photopolymer!

Hope you enjoyed today’s card share, another quick and easy card to add to your collection.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Have a great week!

Simply Sunday Birthday Card …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today it’s time to Celebrate your Big Day with Cake! And while we’re celebrating … let’s Sale-a-brate with FREE specialty paper! Today I’m sharing another technique that can be used on our “Irresistibly Yours” designer paper… Brayering over the stars!

I combined it with the “Ombre” technique: a color scheme that transitions from a lighter to darker shade. I only used the Coastal Cabana so the shading is very subtle. I brayered one layer over the entire card and then working from the left side, I added more color until I got the desired effect.

000_1918

Once you are done with the brayering, wipe off the excess ink from the card (the star’s will not absorb the color) and watch them pop!

I teamed my specialty paper with the “Big Day” stamp set … both are from our Sale-a-bration catalog and you can get them free. During Sale-a-bration you can chose exclusive items with each $50 you purchase. Gather your friends and have a party, or pass the book and do it on-line, or take those tax refunds and place your own order (I have many who do this during Sale-a-bration!)

I have a great tip for you today too … You can extend your banners by simply cutting a piece of cardstock that will slide through the punch (as shown below) and then pull to desired length. How sweet is that!

000_1914

Did you notice that the little white banner has been punched with the “Irresistibly Yours” designer paper. The banner punch is in our big catalog and can be found on page 223.

000_1915

A great birthday card for anyone at any age! Those are the best cards to have on hand.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Enjoy your day ~

Saturday’s Simply Masculine …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I have created a card for you that can be made in just minutes! It’s super easy and very masculine.

I began with our “Adventure Bound” Designer Series Paper pack and chose the brick pattern. I trimmed it down slightly smaller than the basic 4″ x 5-1/4″ because I wanted to mat the designer paper.

000_1887

That 1/8″ pop of black from our mat really makes the brick stand out. I mounted these onto the “Naturals White” cardstock. It compliments nicely with the brick and creates a look of texture that the Whisper White does not … perfect for our masculine card.

000_1888

Next, I grabbed my “Balloon Bash” stamp set … I think this is such a fun and versatile set. It’s also bold enough to stamp and embossed directly onto designer paper and still pop! It does not get lost in the background of the designer paper.

I stamped the image with the White Craft Ink and then embossed with white embossing powder. That is it … simple, fun, and very masculine!

000_1887

Thank you for dropping by to visit my blog today.

I wish you a simply wonderful Saturday ~

STAMPIN’ SUPPLY LIST …

I Made This Just for You!

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

I’m excited to share today’s card with you! First, because we all need birthday cards, second, because I made it with some really cool new products and it was fun to do!

I started with the “Balloon Bash” stamp set from the Occasions catalog – pg. 13. It’s such a fun stamp set and can be used for any gender at any age … from 9 month to 90 years (and beyond!)

000_1874

Well … then I knew I wanted to do the “Chalkboard” technique because Stampin’ Up! introduced “Chalkboard paper” … It works so nice, and is a bit heavier than regular cardstock. You can find it on page 25 with the new Chalk ink (but that’s another day – lol).

I started by wiping down the Chalkboard paper with the embossing buddy, then I inked up my stamp with the White Craft Ink and embossed with the white embossing powder… this gives you a very bold image, AND it allowed me to color the banner with the Coastal Cabana Blendabilities pen! I love the way it pops!!

The embossing buddy adds to the “chalkboard” look, however if you want a bolder look of “chalk” you can use the White Craft Ink and sponge it on lightly.

Once I finished that, I needed to mount my project, but I wanted more than just a plain background so … I went to the new paper stack “Staked with Love” and picked out the XOXOXOXO pattern! Who doesn’t want “Hugs & Kisses” on their birthday!

000_1874

I don’t know about you … but I think this card is so stinkin’ cute! It was FUN and easy to make too!

I appreciate you stopping by to see me today. Let me know if you have any questions with the technique or products I used to create the card.

Have a terrific Tuesday … and don’t forget to check out the new Weekly Deals. Just click on the button below.

Occasions & Sale-a-Bration 2015 Sneak Peek: Celebrate with Cake

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

It’s getting closer to Christmas, a busy time for all of us I’m sure. So I hope you can escape the craziness and join me for a minute… kick back and relax because I would like to show you a sneak peek from the Sale-a-Bration and Occasions 2015 Catalogs!

I love that Stampin’ Up! is always right on track with the “hot” techniques and latest products for stamping, and I’m excited to share with you the NEW Chalkboard Paper in the Occasions catalog. Cool right? Well hang onto your socks because they also brought us “Chalk Ink” pads!

Here is my card share today … This is one of the cards that I did as a Make & Take for my Star’s members for our Christmas party this year.

000_1830

This paper is a bit heavier and has a smooth grain that pairs perfectly with the Chalk ink and our White Stampin’ Chalk Marker. The chalk ink is permanent and creates a realistic chalk effect. You can find these on page 25 of the new Occasions catalog.

Also from the Occasions catalog is our “Birthday Bash” Specialty Designer Series Paper …. I picked out the Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry colors from the DSP as my base colors because I thought it was gender neutral. It’s always nice to have cards around that can be used for anyone.

000_1832

The Chalkboard paper really is the focal point and it highlights our greeting which comes from the “Big Day” stamp set. Yes, you already got a sneak peek from this set on Saturday (click here to view).

vidheaders_SAB_demo_campaign_US_CA

customer_SAB_demo2_US

I love stamp sets that have a greeting and words to match that I can put inside …

000_1833

Ice cream and cake … it’s making me hungry! I think I should have added some designer paper to the inside to add a bit more color! Hmmm … that is why I like stamping with my friends, we share ideas and end up with even better cards! Right ladies!!

Hope you enjoyed the break and I’ll see you tomorrow.

Till then, have a wonderful day ~

Birthday Greetings: Sale-a-Bration Sneak Peek!

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Wooo Hooo … the weekend is here! I will need it to finish up my Christmas shopping. Hope you are already done and just putting on those finishing touches so you have some time to relax.

Yesterday I told you that I would be sharing another sample from the December Paper Pumpkin kit, and I teamed it up with a Sale-a-bration stamp set!

In the kit we got several sheets with die cut stars to punch out and use in our shaker card, so I cut mine apart and …

000_1814

used the strip of stars as the focal point on my card. I picked the Pistachio Pudding strip and accented it with the Smokey Slate cardstock. I added the Pistachio Pudding Thick Bakers Twine for some added dimension and texture.

000_1816

The “Happy Birthday” greeting comes from the upcoming Sale-a-Bration stamp set: Big Day.

Sale-a-Bration is right around the corner, and it’s a great way to get FREE stamp sets and accessories!  I’m so excited with this year’s SAB catalog, it’s filled with fantastic products!

Ornamental Pine Birthday Card …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

It’s a bit “chilly” out today but I am grateful that the snow blast that hit our western states did not make it to Wisconsin – or should I say… my neck of the woods! Northern Wisconsin got snow.

Today I am going to share with you the Ornamental Pine Birthday card as promised, and my favorite of this weeks “Weekly Deals”.

Let’s begin with the card ….

000_1681

My colors are based off the designer paper pack “Trim the Tree” which includes the Garden Green that I used as my base and my frame. The designer paper is cut 4 x 5-1/4″ … then cut a Whisper White and Garden Green slightly smaller. The white you will stamp on, and the green will be a frame!

 000_1682   000_1684

Align the Garden Green cardstock behind the designer paper and using the “Oval Collections” Framelits … you will cut through both pieces.

000_1686

Take away the Garden Green and place the Trim the Tree Designer paper back onto the BigShot … using the “next size up” oval, align and cut.  Now when you place your Garden Green back behind the designer paper … you will have a frame!

Just to recap ….

000_1687

Next, you will ink up your Pine with Garden Green ink and color in the stem with the Chocolate Chip marker and stamp onto the Whisper White piece you cut earlier. Stamp the pine cone in Chocolate Chip and cut out… yes, you have to fussy cut – sorry!

My “Happy Birthday” greeting comes from the “Making Spirits Bright” … a great set you can use all year long, and the greeting size is perfect!

000_1679

OK … now for some more fun, let’s talk “Weekly Deals”! My favorite from this weeks bunch of deals is the …. Daffodil Delight Seam Binding! We had some great guesses, but no one guessed it right 😦

Daffodil Delight 1/2" Ribbon Seam Binding

Daffodil Delight 1/2″ Ribbon Seam Binding

I want you to know why I fell in love with it.  It is so easy to work with, and ribbon is always a great way to embellish a card without breaking the bank. Congratulations Olivia, Cheryl, Barb & Nancy!  🙂
