Mermaid Magic …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I want to share with you another fun card from the “Magical Day” Bundle. I’m using it with the cute designer paper again, but we’re going a bit more feminine this time.

The layouts are similar … I switched out the background of trees yesterday to the glimmer bubbles on today’s card. We also went from dragons and knights to mermaids!

I cut out my mermaid (from the designer paper) and my stamped greeting with the Stitched Framelits … then I added the new glimmer paper from the Myths and Magic product suite.  Doesn’t that designer paper look like bubbles? I love it!!It

Speaking  of bubbles, just like yesterday’s card … I added the glimmer dots, this time coming up from the seaweed that I cut from the coordinating dies! It gives you an appearance as if you’re under the water with our mermaid.

I’m using the birthday greeting from the “Picture Perfect Birthday” stamp set for inside… just as yesterday. I wish the camera could catch what the eyes see … the seaweed is Lemon Lime twist painted with Dapper Denim using the Wink of Stella!!

You’ve seen two different cards now from the Magical Day bundle, there is so much you can do with this versatile product suite! I’m sure you’ll see more samples from this suite from me.

Here’s to another “Magical” day … Thanks for spending part of your day with me.

See you tomorrow for my Simply Sunday post ~

TODAY’S STAMPIN’ SUPPLY LIST …

Magical Birthday …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

As promised … I have a really cute card to share with you today. You should have your new Occasions Catalog by now and I hope you are enjoying seeing all the wonderful stamp sets and accessories.

Today I want to share with you the “Magical Day” Bundle with you … a totally fun stamp set and coordinating dies, but let’s not stop there! Stampin’ Up! has also given us the cutest designer paper to go with it … and more but we’ll get to those in future posts.

This bundle is great for kids (or for the kid inside some of us adults) It truly is magical with it’s Dragons, Knights, Wizards, Mermaids and Unicorns! Plus, if that’s not enough … this designer paper is dazzling with glitter.

Even with the glitter, this card is great for a young man brave enough to slay the dragon … or “Train Your Dragon”!! The color combination of Dapper Denim and Lemon Lime Twist makes it even more fun!

I borrowed a birthday greeting from the “Picture Perfect Birthday” stamp set for my inside greeting. The greeting on the front of the card is included in the Magical Day stamp set. A couple little glimmer dots to carry over the glimmer from the front of our card and the inside is complete.

I’m looking forward to sharing many of the amazing bundles and goodies from our Occasions catalog with you. Don’t forget … Sale-a-Bration begins too! It’s a great time to host a stampin’ party with your friends – at home, on-line or a book show.

Thank you for stopping by today, and I hope your day is “Magical”.

See you tomorrow ~

2017 December Alternative Paper Pumpkin Project

Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have a cute card that I created with the December 2017 Paper Pumpkin kit … now don’t run away just because you are not a current subscriber, there is always something to take away from the projects I share with you.

I began with the pre-cut note card, however, I wanted to create a full card to see what it would look like … I also knew I had a score line that I wanted to cover so I headed to my ribbon stash and grabbed the Lemon-Lime! I thought that would look pretty with my cardstock.

As you can see, I kept the idea from Stampin’ Up! for the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper behind the pre-cut cardstock but did not add the other piece (I’ll show you what I came up with that tomorrow).

Then I simply embossed one of the many greetings included in the December kit and added the butter (stamped in Lemon-Lime) to balance out my card.

Now … take this idea of a die cut image, using one of your many beautiful framelits dies, add your glimmer paper to the background and you have an awesome card! Easy layout … simple to make, and beautiful!!

Or how about ….

There is always an idea from any of the projects I share … that is my intent anyway.

I love the Paper Pumpkin kits because they are pre-cut and ready to put together, with a little stamping! But you can go beyond what they have made for us.

Hope you enjoyed today’s card share, and I hope to see you back tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping in …

Have a wonderful day!

One more look at my December 2017 Alternative Paper Pumpkin project …

Birthday Alternative ….

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I want to share with you a special birthday card … my sister Eileen’s. I could not share this card earlier because we just celebrated her birthday yesterday.

I used the October 2017 Paper Pumpkin as my base … and then I changed it up to create a unique birthday card. I wanted to use the beautiful “Happy Birthday” on my card and to do so, I had to change out the top layer of my card …  this is where I decided to use the Oval Dies to create my opening for a shaker card.

When I cut out my oval, I used the outside of my die as a template to draw an “Old Olive” line around the oval … this was to add a bit more of the Olive color to my card.  I used the background, window sheet, sequins and foam strips from the kit for my card.

I added the deer and I did that because I wanted to add a touch of black to pull the color from the greeting and the plaid background. At this point the card was a little masculine so I added the pretty “sparkly” black bow because it tied into the color theme and added a feminine touch to the card. Now … don’t you think that did the trick!

Hope you enjoyed my Paper Pumpkin alternative … a great base to create a very special birthday card.

Thank you for joining me today, I hope your day is a good one.

Birthday Party Stampin’ Style…

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Another fun class last night with another group of fabulous ladies!  We made cards from the Birthday Memories Suite! The stamp set, dies and Designer paper all coordinate and make creating cards easy!!

I had to have a special little treat for everyone when they arrived, so I found some petite birthday cakes and presented them as if it were their birthday …

We learned how to combine the stamping with the dies, the dies with the  designer paper and the stamping with the designer paper.

On this card we went back to basics and stamped our background using the Pacific Point ink on the Pacific Point paper using the Surprise stamp in our bundle.

The bear was fussy cut but many of the images on the designer paper can be cut out with the use of the dies. We highlighted our birthday bear with the use of the Oval Framelits Collection.

This is an awesome bundle to add to your collection if you are always making birthday cards for the kids or grandkids! Keep watching because I’ll be sharing a cute card that will give you another reason to have it!!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Have a wonderful weekend ~

TODAY’S STAMPIN’ SUPPLY LIST .

It’s Your Day!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

While getting ready for my Carols of Christmas class this weekend, I ran across some leftovers from my July 2017 Paper Pumpkin and decided to use them up so here is my alternative to the pre-designed cards in the kit…

Everything on the card comes in the kit except the Glitter Enamel Dots and I used them to cover up a couple of smudges! With mistakes comes opportunity!!

I also used the oval from the Stitched Shape Framelits to cut out the tulips. The “hooray” gives the card added dimension, and I wanted to make sure I used up all the wooden elements from the kit!

Also … wanted to let you know that today is the last day to cash in on this exciting offer (the best I’ve seen in my 17 years as a demonstrator).

Once you purchase the kit you can check out all the wonderful benefits of being a demonstrator (I can help) and then decide to dabble in the fun or just play with all your new stamping supplies! Your choice!

Contact me with any questions @ lindaluvs2stamp@aol.com

Thanks for checking in on me today, I’ll be back tomorrow with a more manly alternative from the July 2017 Paper Pumpkin kit!

Have a wonderful day ~

Back with great news & cute cards!!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I know I’ve been away from my blog for a while but sometimes life just gets in the way, but I’m back with some exiting news and those cute alternatives to our June Paper Pumpkin!

Bonus Days are back! For every $50 you spend July 1–31 (before shipping and tax), you’ll get a $5 Bonus Days coupon that you can use August 1–31.

This was a big hit last year … and I know you’ll love it even more this year because you’ll also be earning a rewards points from me too!! CLICK HERE to view my rewards program.

Please let me know if you have any questions about this offer.  Now I’d like to share with you the alternative cards that I came up with from the June Paper Pumpkin …

When working with the kits … I like to stick to as many items from the kit as I can, the only thing I used outside of the kit on this card is the half sheet of white used for the base.

I just love these little watermelons … on the first card, I stamped all the images on the circle tag enclosed in the kit, then I cut it in half. The background is just the bag cut apart!

On the second card I used the card front for my pattern, the entire circle tag and a piece of the bag to create the banner.

I also used the cute little clothes pin that was used on the bag.  With just a little redesigning you can create these cute and simple cards.

I think the Paper Pumpkin kits are a fun and easy way to get into stamping! Comes with everything you need to create the cards and projects and you get to keep all the extra’s … the inks and the stamp set (yes, they are included in each kit as well).

Thanks for hanging in there with me, I’ll be back with more specials, class announcements and more card making projects for you!

Have a great day ~

Retiring: Sunburst Framelits

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

The sun is setting on one of my favorite dies … the Sunburst Framelits die. This die is so versatile and easy to use.  Today I have several cards using this die to share with you.

The thought behind the card was the use of the “Sunburst” Thinlits die. I cut out one in Basic Black and Basic Gray.  They are layered and then with a small twist, you’ll get a “peak” of the gray behind the black.  My background behind that is the Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack.

000_4135

This was adhered to a Basic Black mat and then onto the Melon Mambo base. My pretty little flowers that are also in Melon Mambo were cut from the “Botanical Builder” Framelits. After cutting them out on the BigShot I sponged some of the edges to create more depth on the flower.

The greeting is stamped in Basic Black and then punched out with our circle punches. This was popped up with the dimensionals to create the focal point.

If you like this card, here are a few more cards that I have shared with you in the past using the Sunburst Thinlits die …

000_3227

Let me know if you have any questions on the cards shown today. The Sunburst Framelit die is so easy to use and as you can see by the samples, can be used in many different ways.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Have a “sunny” day ~

Simply Sunday: Retiring Hero’s

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

It’s that time of year… the Retirement List is out! It’s so sad to see some of our favorites leave, but you know there are some great new stamp sets coming!

One of my favorite stamp sets retiring it the Ronald McDonald House stamp set … “My Hero”. This stamp set touches my heart, because for every stamp set I sell … Stampin’ Up! donates $3 to the Ronald McDonald houses that host families so they can be near their children in the hospital with life threatening illnesses. I can’t image having to go through that, I’ve been very blessed to have healthy kids and grandkid … that’s why it touches me so.

This stamp set is so versatile it should be in everyone’s stamp collection!!  I have 7 card samples for you from this one stamp set! Let’s begin with a card that wishes you well (and the little umbrella ties in with April Showers).

000_3521

The umbrella in the “My Hero” stamp set coordinates with the Umbrella Weather Framelits on page 193 of our annual catalog.

Our next card is easy to make and I used the Layering Ovals Framelits to make my eggs and the Layering Square Framelits for my greeting.  Once you have these framelits … you’ll wonder how you ever made cards without them!

000_3519

This is the card that bears the name of our stamp set “My Hero”. Here I pulled out all the punches to create this card. The greeting stamp coordinates with the Best Badge punch and the Banner Triple punch was used for the banners … let’s not forget our stars!

000_3508

Now here’s a fun one … I this card I used the pumpkin face to adorn the lines cut from the “Swirly Scribbles Framelits”. Gently use the end of your scissors to curl the free ends.

000_3517

I used the Heart stamp to create this cute little Valentine’s card. The pretty paper comes from the “Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Paper” and the Sweetheart Heart punch.

000_3527

Next, our cute little “Celebrate” card. The designer paper is the “Festive Birthday”.  Again I used the Banner punch to create my banners and the band in the center was embossed with the Festive embossing folder to give it some texture and a little jazz!

000_3529

And last but not least is our Christmas card.  I used the “This Christmas” Specialty paper which is layered over the “Holly” embossed cardstock. Our greeting was punched out and layered over the Metallic Foil Doily and topped off with a Star from the Metallic Enamel Shapes.

000_3515

I wanted to share all of these cards at once so that you could see how versatile this stamp set really is. You can be a HERO, when you purchase the “My Hero” stamp set … $3.00 goes to the Ronald McDonald Houses throughout the US. It’s a easy way to help children fighting for their lives by keeping their families close to them.

Let me know if you have any questions or need help ordering this stamp set.

Thank you for stopping by …

Stay healthy and have a nice day!

Simply Sunday: You’re Sweet

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Hope your Sunday is treating you well. Sunday’s are usually more on the relaxing side for me, but not today … had to go into work to make sure things are done for both stores before going on vacation as I head for Shreveport to the Stampin’ Up! OnStage event.

Today’s card however is truly in line with our Simply Sunday! A fun and cute card that has color and texture and just looks yummy! And it’s easy to make 🙂

I’m using the “Cool Treats” stamp set from the Cool Treat bundle, and the coordinating “Tasty Treats” Specialty Designer Series paper. You can see by the angle that the treats are embossed, that gives you the raised feel and the glossy finish.

The inside is decorated with a strip of the the specialty paper … just for the fun of it!

I heat embossed the cone that I cut out so it had the same gloss as the specialty paper. The greeting was done in Watermelon Wonder and I used the coordinating mat and cardstock to compliment the project.

A quick and easy that card that is sure to bring a smile to anyone’s face.

Thanks for spending some of your Sunday with me!

Have a great day, and I wish a sweet week ahead for you ~

March Madness: Card #10

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Well today is the day, all 10 cards have finally been revealed!! I think the real madness of the past 10 days is trying to get my cards posted for you! lol

Today’s card is full of fun, so much in fact … it pops!  I am using the Balloon Adventures Bundle. It contains the Balloon Adventures stamp set and coordinating Balloon Pop-Up Thinlets dies. There is so much you can do with this combination and if that isn’t enough … we have the coordinating designer paper, embellishments and Washi tape as well.

The photos do not do the card justice, again … from my phone. The blue in the lettering will not look blotchy on your card. I’m beginning to think my house is haunted with all the technology troubles I’ve been having! lol

Well that was spooky … as I was typing that in, I lost internet connection!  No more jokes. lol

There is a video from Stampin’ Up! that goes with this bundle as well, and it explains how to use all the different dies! Today I just used the pop up section and the balloon. Here is the inside …

Pop up cards really give you a “WOW” effect, and with this bundle it’s easy to do.  Remember, you will also get instructions, tips and dimensions for each card YOU choose!!
