Hand Painted Christmas …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’m going to share a card I created with a few of the items that will be retiring from the Holiday Catalog. I will also be posting the entire list for you to view … I thought that would make it a little easier.

Let’s start with my card …

000_2857

I used the “Boughs & Berries” Embossing Folder … I colored each of the elements by hand using my ink pads and blender pens. If you like to color, it’s a lot of fun and very relaxing.

My greeting comes from the “Versatile Christmas” stamp set. It’s been too long since we have has such a wonderful sentiment stamp set for the Holidays. This is truly a must have in your stamp collection, but hurry … it’s on the retirement list.

000_2853

To finish off my card, I added some red ribbon in a non-traditional way, but I think it fits the style of my card beautifully.

Now I will display the RETIREMENT LIST.  I have uploaded the images by page from the beginning of the catalog so you can follow along. If you would like to place an order, you may use the hostess code listed below …

Thank You in Blackberry Bliss …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

I just have to squeeze in one more card sample using the Painted Blooms Designer Series paper! So many designs, so many colors, so many uses! 12 sheets: 2 each of 6 double-sided designs. 12″ x 12″ Acid free, lignin free… and it coordinates with Blackberry Bliss, Blushing Bride, Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point, Rose Red, Sahara Sand, Soft Sky, Whisper White, Wild Wasabi.

Today I’m going to share one of the cards that we made at the 2015 Spring Stampin’ Retreat. On this card they learned how to create this unique card using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch …

000_2280

You can see that we used the Blackberry Bliss flowers. I thought they went well with the flower from the “Petal Potpourri” stamp set. Create a bouquet, a garden, or a single perfect bloom. These Two-Step stamps give you so many creative options–combine individual stamps to build the final image you want in the colors you want.

000_2279

I used Blackberry Bliss, Wild Wasabi and Daffodil Delight inks to create the front floral piece. The greeting comes from the “Hey You” stamp set.

This stamp set was the “Pillow Gift” our guests received Saturday night when they returned to their rooms. This cute little clear mount set includes three greetings that work with some of the most frequent card-giving occasions.

000_2282

The card was finished off with the Daffodil Delight 1/4″ Cotton Ribbon all tied up in a bow. What a fun way to open a card … it will be just like opening a present!

Don’t forget that the Painted Blooms Designer Paper is on the Weekly Deals list for only $8.21 and the “Hey You” stamp set is currently on the retired list … and on sale!! Only a few days remain to get the items you wanted from the retirement list.

I have a list of ingredients below … just click on the items description for more information or to begin your purchase.

Thank you for stopping by …

and enjoy your day!

Remember the Fallen … Memorial Day

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I have a special card I would like to share with you. It’s my way of saying “Thank You” and pay my respects for those who have fought and served our country … but did not make it home.

Today is the day we pay our respect for those who gave all to give us the freedoms we enjoy.

A simple “Thank You” card made with the Pleasant Poppies stamp set…

000_2269

I embossed them in black and colored them in with the new Watermelon Wonder maker… The base card is also in the Watermelon Wonder. I was going to use the Calypso Coral, but this was closer to the color I picture poppies as.

The “Thank You” comes from the “Celebrate Baby” stamp set. I love this set and I’m sorry it is on the discontinued list.  I added a Vintage Brad to give my card a little brass, and to finish it off … I simple spritzed a bit of black to create a more interesting background.

Enjoy your Memorial day … and take a moment to remember those who paid the ultimate price to keep our country free.

Thank you for joining me today.

TODAY’S STAMPIN’ SUPPLY LIST …

Birthday Bash Card Parade Day 2!

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I will share with you the rest of the card that I created using the “Birthday Bash” Designer Series paper. The paper is still on sale until Monday … click here to view!

I will start you off with my “hello” card. This is a great way to use up any scraps that you have around. The greeting comes from the “Hello You” thinlet dies. You can easily attach your die cut with our “Liquid Glue” … the small tip makes it easy to apply.

000_2260

The pretty little flower was created with a combination of the “Pansy” and “Boho Blossom” punches. The center is actually the designer paper with the polka dot …then topped off with a rhinestone.

My second card is a simple but sweet “Make a Wish” card.  This comes from the “Perfect Pennants” stamp set. The simple layering makes a statement and highlights the greeting.

000_2257

Sometimes in life you just have to “Do what makes you happy”! That I have found is hard for most women, because we are caretakers by nature … we usually put ourselves last. So … I challenge you to go do something that makes you happy … and let me know, I’d love to hear what you’re up to!

000_2261

I used the same layout and greeting for these cards … just different paper, but both from the “Birthday Bash” designer paper. The stamp set is the “Hello Life” and the pretty little heart comes with it. The flower on the Navy card comes from the “Flower Shop” stamp set.

I hope you enjoyed the card parade that I have shared with you. I enjoyed your company … Thank you!

As we enter the Holiday weekend, I would like to take this moment that give “THANKS” to our Veterans who gave all to keep us free.

Have a safe and happy holiday weekend ~

Parade of Cards: Birthday Bash Designer Paper …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

As promised, I’m here today to share some fun cards created with the “Birthday Bash” designer series paper.  I couldn’t fit them all on one post, so I will share 3 with you today and 3 more tomorrow!!

I’m so excited to show you how fun and versatile this Birthday Bash DSP really is….

Let’s start out with a birthday card with party hats! Party hats? Really … Sure! You’re never too old to party! This cute stamp comes from one of our Hostess stamp sets “Let You’re Hair Down”.

000_2246

I have to show you the inside too because the verse inside is too cute …

000_2245

My second card is is a banner card, and the greeting comes from the stamp set “Big News”.  How appropriate is that considering you just got a sneak peek at a totally fun new product that will be introduced in the new catalog!  Let me just say this one item “punched” out all three sizes of the banners!

000_2247

Here’s a peek inside …

000_2249

My last card for today showcases each side of the same piece of designer paper … I love the two sided paper! The greeting is from the stamp set “Million and One”. I just adore this font, and so sad this set will be retiring in only a few more days!

000_2251

The current catalog sales period ends on June 2nd … so as much as we are sad to say goodbye to some of our favorites, you are going to be just as excited to see the new catalog!!

000_2252

Thank you for joining me for today’s parade of cards, and remember … I will have 3 more for you tomorrow using the Birthday Bash Designer paper.

Have yourself and fabulous day!

Today’s Stampin’ Supply List …

Walk in the Wild 3

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today is my last of 3 cards that I have made for you with the “Walk in the Wild” stamp set.  I may have used one stamp set, but I have shown you three different techniques.

Today’s card share illustrates the “Reverse Masking” technique … so simple but so effective.

000_2243

I used the “Labels Collection” framelits to create my mask, then I placed it onto the Very Vanilla and sponged Pear Pizzazz around the edges. Then with the Mossy Meadow ink and our ever popular “Lovely as a Tree” … I stamped layers of the pine to create stunning dimension.

I used “Close to Cocoa” to stamp my quail onto the front and then my greeting.  Although there is no layering, the Reverse Masking technique give an appearance of dimension.

Thanks for coming back ~ Hope you enjoyed all three of my “Walk in the Wild” series cards.

I’ll be back tomorrow with the Weekly Deals…

Have a fabulous Monday!

TODAY’S STAMPIN’ SUPPLY LIST …

Simply Sunday … Walk in the Wild 2

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

I hope you are enjoying your weekend!  I got to spend some time with my granddaughter and my sister Eileen.  Yes stampers … we are planning an event, and as soon as I lock down the location, I will send you the details.  It’s going to be fun & exciting!!!  Tentative date: Thursday, May 28th.

Today is day 2 of my “Walk in the Wild” card share … I went pretty masculine on this one.  I am really going to miss this set! I love, love, love the moose.

000_2227

I wanted something simple, yet a bit different from the textured embossing folders, so I went “old school” and crumpled up my “Baked Brown Sugar” cardstock, cut the edges, and then sponged it … to age it.  I love the warm color of the Baked Brown Sugar against the richness of the Early Espresso…. it even looks better in hand!

Next I stamped my moose with the StazOn™ Ink on Very Vanilla cardstock, and did a color wash over the entire piece.  Just a little ink in the tray of the ink pad and my “Aqua Painters” and your done in mere minutes!

My greeting comes from the”Something to Say” stamp set … then I cut it into a banner, curled up the edges … sponged it (to age it) and then anchored it with an “Antique Brad”.  I used a Blendabilities pen (some of you are still using yours) or you can use a sharpie, to tone down the color a bit.

000_2233

This angle shows the dimension in the card … I popped up the moose, the greeting, and the brad with my Stampin’ Dimensionals.  TIP: Use your craft scissors to cut the tines off the brad so it lays evenly on your project.

Hope you enjoyed today’s manly moose … and don’t forget to stop back tomorrow to view the last card from my “Walk in the Wild” series.

Remember, it is retiring so you will need to purchase it before the end of this month.  Just click the link I have posted for you below in my “Stampin’ Supply List”.

If you want to be included in my e-mails for upcoming classes … just click on the “Subscribe to my e-mail newsletter” tab located in the black banner on the top of my page.

So until tomorrow … Have a great day!

TODAY’S STAMPIN’ SUPPLY LIST …

Walk in the Wild – Card Share #1

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

As promised … I have the first of 3 cards from the Walk in the Wild stamp set to share with you.  I am beginning with the pheasant.

I used the technique that my clubs learned this month … Foil Embossing.  It’s quick, easy and oh so cool!  In fact, they will love to see that I am using the same layout they used for the “Thank You” card in class.

000_2222

My image was stamped with StazOn and colored in with the Pear Pizzazz marker and the Blender Pen to apply the Island Indigo and Crumb Cake

When creating your foil background … you will need to use the “Heavy Duty” foil. We then glued a piece of cardstock onto the foil … trimmed off any access and then ran it through the Big Shot.  I used the “Woodgrain” textured impressions embossing folder.

One simple stampin’ tip … Remember when applying a piece of cardstock on a half sheet, only put adhesive on the half that will be in contact with your card.

000_2224

I told you it was simple. I’d love to hear from you … please share any ideas with our blog followers on how you would use this technique.

Thank you for dropping by today …

Have an awesome weekend ~

TODAY’S STAMPIN’ SUPPLY LIST …

Simply Sunday … Birthday Flowers

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

I would like to wish all the MOM’s out there a very Happy Mother’s Day!  I hope you enjoy your special day.

I also want to say “Thank You” to all who took advantage of the Paper Pumpkin promotion …  You will receive an e-mail from me within the week with your password to my “Paper Pumpkin Pals” link.  There you will find even more ideas for your Paper Pumpkin kits. (This is now available to all my subscribers)

Today I want to share a simple card that can be recreated over and over again … just switch out the stamp set or the designer paper, and you have a new card!

000_2198

I stamped with the beautiful hostess set: Bloom with Hope with the StazOn ink pad. I kept it very simple by only coloring the center of the flower.  Sometimes less is more.

I used the Hello Honey and Mossy Meadow ink pads and blender pen to do the coloring … sometimes we get so caught up in new techniques that it’s nice to revisit old ones. They are tried and true!

000_2199

Both the birthday greeting and the verse on the inside of the card come from the Bloom with Hope stamp set. I layered and popped up the greeting to create some interesting dimension to the card, then tied it all up in a pretty little Mossy Meadow ribbon.

So simple … yet so pretty. Remember you can totally change the look of the card by changing out designer papers!

000_2198

Again, Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mom’s out there … and I hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday.

Thank you for stopping by ~

TODAY’S STAMPIN’ SUPPLY LIST …

Reminiscing … A Walk in the Wild

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

With the retirement lists out, I’d like to reminisce on one of those stamp sets you love … A Walk in the Wild. This was a great stamp set for masculine cards… and I’m going to miss this one!

My first card is the pheasant … I did this birthday card in November of 2013. Simple color pallet and the use of ribbon for banners make this card very appealing to the guys.

000_0389

My second card is the moose … he is so stately! I created this one back in August of 2013.

I teamed this image up with some designer paper and the burlap ribbon. The burlap gives the card some great texture, yet does not take away from the moose image at all.

000_0111

Both cards used a simple layout … but with different backgrounds and accessories, they look well put together. While making cards for guys, you never want to “over” embellish.

Hope you enjoyed this little flashback, and if you don’t have this stamp set … you may want to add it onto your wish list.

Thank you for dropping by my blog today!

Have an awesome one ~
