My Top 3 Pinterest Cards!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Ready for some Friday Fun?? Last night I met with my Stamp Club and we were talking about “Pinterest” and I shared “what I thought” was my #1 “pinned” card … I was wrong, so I thought it would be cool to share my Top 3 with you today!! Let’s see if any of these are the ones YOU pinned!

Card #3 ….

It is the Cute Halloween Designer Series paper from the Stampin’ Up! Aug. – Dec. Mini Catalog!

This card was featured on my Simply Sunday series of cards … and you can view the entire post by CLICKING HERE!

Card #2 ….

Well … this little cutie is going to look VERY familiar because it was just highlighted yesterday with the Penguin Playmates Designer Paper cards …

That Polar Bear is so cute and the card is so simple to make, (check out yesterday’s post for directions) it’s not a surprise this is in the Top 3, however … I thought it was the #1 Card!!

Hmmm … which one do you think it is?

CARD #1

This card BLEW all the others away with over 13K hits! Not bad considering it hasn’t been out there that long! Are you ready to see it??

It is the “Tidings of Christmas” in Misty Moonlight

A Merry & Bright card for sure coming from our Tidings of Christmas suite … these stocking are are quite lovely and the pretty paper makes this a perfect card to send to all your friends and family. To see the original post / how it was made just CLICK HERE.

Still time to Party with the Penguins!!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Wooo Hooo it’s “almost” Friday and I’m thrilled to share some cute cards that I have created with the Penguin Playmates Designer paper. You’re going to love this paper not just because it is sooo stinkin’ cute, but because you can get it for FREE! It’s one of the Sale-a-bration items you can choose. Let’s check out the first of two cards …

Because we’re showcasing the designer paper, I will tell you that I fussy cut my images out, but he’s a big ‘ole cuddly Polar Bear so he was pretty easy to cut out!! Once my images were cut out, I picked my colors … his scarf is Just Jade so I coordinated my ink with that, then I decided to use Soft Sea Foam for my card base and the ink that I applied with the Blending Brush.

Once I applied the ink … and it dried, I decided to add some pretty texture by using one of the folders from the Wintry 3-D embossing folder. I just fell in love with the snowflakes and swirls! This gave me the idea to tuck one of the Wonderful Snowflakes behind my Polar Bear. The greeting comes from the Festive & Bright stamp set.

My second card now highlights the sweet little penguin and his snowman buddy! I wanted to highlight the black from the characters so I used in as my card base and my greeting, which also came from the Festive & Bright stamp set.

I used another pattern … which matches my penguins hat as my back drop. I also used the Wintry 3-D embossing folder for texture and to set the stage for my playmates! The snowman is enhanced with Wink of Stella and he’s so happy he started to juggle the cute “Opal Rounds” … also known as snowballs!!

Why am I sharing all these cards? Because I have one more for you … I’m sharing these littel cuties because of this ….

I would not be doing my job as your creative coach / Stampin’ Up! demonstrator if I didn’t tell you that our Sale-a-bration ends in less than 2 weeks and when the items are gone … they are gone 😦

My last card today is a quick and simple card that highlights this cute pattern and had a banner greeting (Sorry for the pun!)

This is an item you can get for FREE with a $50 purchase… but time is running out. I have a list of supplies below. These are easy Christmas cards that you can make… I’d be flattered!

Flippin’ for Waterfall Cards …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today, I’m sharing the fabulous flippin’ Waterfall card with you … this fun is just that, FUN!! I have three cards and a short video for you today.

Let’s start with the first card I created using the Beautifully Penned Designer paper from our Sale-a-bration catalog (FREE with a $50 purchase / before Ship&Handling)

I gave the flowers a hint of color using my Flirty Flamingo ink pad and Sponge Daubers. I then went over the flowers with the Wink of Stella.

The second card was created with the Cute Halloween Designer paper … you can find this adorable paper in the Mini Catalog.

The background paper comes from the Pattern Party Designer paper which is one of our Hostess Gifts!! You’ll see in the video how I embellished the paper with a pop of color….

You will want to watch the video as it shows you how simple the cards are to create, and how budget friendly this layout truly is. I even talk about how you break down the costs.

Enjoy the video and please let me know if you have any questions …

The crucial dimensions you need for your Waterfall card is the Waterfall itself: 9-1/4″ x 2″ … Punch one end and flip to score other side: Score at 2″ … 2-3/4″ … 3-1/2″ and 4-1/4″. Then you will need your “band” which hold down the sliding part of your card: 4-1/4″ x 3/4″.

The last card that I shared in the video was the Christmas Card that I created using the Penguin Pals designer paper … another Sale-a-bration item!! I want to remind you that our Sale-a-bration promotion ends in about 2 weeks … wow, that time sure flew by!

Thank you for stopping by and spending a part of your day with me. I hope the rest of your day is wonderful ~

Penguin Playmates!!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Have you fallen in love with the new Penguin Playmates Designer Series Paper yet?? This adorable paper coordinates with the Penguin Place Bundle which you’ll find in the New Aug.-Dec. Mini Catalog!! Best thing about these precious penguins? … The designer paper can be earned FREE with a $50 purchase (before ship/hndling)!

The paper is so cute I didn’t have the heart to cut it so I let the adorable pattern tell the story and brighten the holiday …

My base is the gorgeous Fresh Freesia from our In Color Collection and the only other thing I had to do was add a greeting. I’m using the Festive & Bright stamp set which really does tell the story of this card … don’t you think?!

To highlight the greeting, I stamped it in Fresh Freesia onto a banner that I just hand cut, along with a Freesia base….

I tied a cute little bow on my banner to add a little texture and depth to the card. This is the new White Glitter Organdy Ribbon. Adds a little sparkle and coordinates nicely with the colors in the designer paper.

I’m posting two more cards on my Party Page today … I’ll share them here tomorrow.
