Be Joyful …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Hope you had a good week and that you have a better weekend planned.

Today I’d like to share with you a card that calls for you to be joyful! I used the warm colors of Cherry Cobbler and Baked Brown Sugar. Hmmm… sounds yummy too!

I sponged the edges of the Brown Sugar to give it an aged look and then ran the “Perfect Polka Dot Folder” through my new Texture Boutique Machine. Wow … it works great!

The stars were cut out using the Star Framelit dies, using the warm & lovely “Under the Tree’s” Designer Specialty Paper.

The Cherry Cobbler 1″ Sheer Linen Ribbon added the perfect touch to the card. It is not too heavy or think to tie a beautiful bow … it is really nice to work with.

The “Be Joyful” came from the “Project Life Holiday Cheer” stamp set. I liked it soooo much, that I ordered two!  LOL … yes, demonstrators do that too.

Just look at all the fun stamps this set has, and you can use it all year long!

Hmmm, I might just have do a “give-a-way”  … I don’t need two. Keep your eyes peeled!

Have a wonderful and joyful weekend!

Our Stampin’ Retreat Swaps to Share ….

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

I hope you had a good weekend.  Mine turned out great … I FOUND MY SWAP CARDS and will be sharing 3 of them with you today!!!

I have been looking in every bag and container that I brought back from retreat and could not find them anywhere. But today as I was going through my kitchen, I saw the little bag tucked nicely on the shelf and there they were!

It appears that I did not want anything to happen to my swaps so I put them on the shelf to keep them safe while I unpacked everything from the car. Oh my gosh … I couldn’t believe it, but I am so happy.

So today, I would like to share 3 of those cards with you …

Our first swap was done by Kathie D. She used the very versatile “Work of Art” stamp set in the delicious Blackberry Bliss!

The second card is from Cheryl G. She used our ever popular “Lovely as a Tree” and created a beautiful winter scene by adding snow with the help of the “Gorgeous Grunge” stamp set.

Last but definitely not least (This one won the card contest) is our swap from Meg … she used the new “Ornamental Pine” and a touch of glitter glue to add that holiday sparkle.

Each of these stamp sets can be used for so many different occasions, they should be a staple in your stamp collection. I know most of you already have “Lovely as a Tree”.

I think my stampin’ friends do a spectacular job … there was a lot of talent at my Holiday retreat! We all had a great time. I will be sharing more swaps with you next Monday.

Stop back tomorrow to see how I used the “Ornamental Pine” for an upcoming birthday, and yes … It’s a masculine card!

Have a great Monday, and I’ll see you tomorrow!

Quick & Easy Christmas …

Hello Stampin’ Friends …

and a Happy Saturday to you!  It’s a little gloomy outside today, that’s OK … makes for a great stampin’ day!

This afternoon I’ll be setting up my Stampin’ Studio for my “Christmas Stamp Camp” tomorrow.  So today I thought I would share with you a little inspiration for card ideas.

I began with some left over designer series paper from my last stamp camp, and came up with this quick and cute card.  My paper is the “Winter Frost Specialty Designer Paper” located on page 29 of the Holiday catalog.

Because our designer paper is designed to coordinate so nicely, the core colors I am using are the Pool Party and Island Indigo.

Next I decided to use the “Deck the Halls” stamp from the “Christmas Messages” stamp set on page 34 of the Holiday catalog.  I love when Stampin’ Up! puts the inner verses for our cards along with the greetings…. makes life so much easier!

I wanted to jazz it up a bit more, so I added one of those cute new ornaments from the “Christmas Collectibles” stamp set.  And talk about making life easier … Stampin’ Up! has a coordinating punch, the “Christmas Ornament” punch so we don’t have to cut these out!  Both of these items can be found on page 35 of the Holiday catalog.

To finish off the card, I added a little bling!  First as sliver of the Silver Glimmer paper, and then a rhinestone in the center of my ornament.

Wow … wasn’t that easy!  And quick!

I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration for Christmas …. Thanks so much for stopping by.

Have an awesome Saturday!
