Two for Tuesday: Noble Peacock Suite …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’d like to share with you, two beautiful cards that were on the “Swap Boards” on the Stampin’ Up! Greek Isles Incentive trip created with the Noble Peacock product suite. I chose these two to share with you today because one features the stamped peacock and the other – the die cut peacock. Both cards include the Noble Peacock Specialty Designer  paper as well.

The card is embellished with two pieces of the stunning Noble Peacock Specialty Designer paper … one in Blueberry Bushel and one in Old Olive.  The beautiful peacock is die cut from the Noble Peacock Foil Sheets in Blueberry Bushel.

The greeting comes from the product suite / Royal Peacock Stamp Set and is die cut with the Layering Circle Framelits.

The second of the two has our peacock hand stamped …

The creator of this card did a beautiful job stamping and coloring the peacock. The greeting also comes from the stamp set that is included in the suite and / or bundle and is embellished with the Blueberry Bliss Foil paper.

As on the first card the background features the Noble Peacock Specialty Designer paper.  I wish I knew who the creators were for these cards, and truly sorry I did not participate in the swap!!

I do not have this suite yet, so that is one of the reasons I wanted to share these two cards … they were beautifully done and we all know that it so nice to see additional samples

Thank you for joining me today. I have a list of the ingredients for you below, and if you are in need of a demonstrator … I would be honored to be your creative coach.

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

As you read my post today I will be heading into Santorini, however I have a couple of sneak peeks for you into the Holiday Catalog, or as Stampin’ Up! calls it … the Fall & Winter Catalog!  No matter what you call it, let me tell you that it is packed full of amazing product suites, bundles stamps, and accessories!

While you are going to bed or sleeping, this is the beautiful sunrise I (we are now 8 hours ahead of my hometown time) as I wrote out this blog post for you ….

Yesterday our morning started out with a nice breakfast overlooking the ocean and running into our table mates from last night! It’s so nice to really be able to build a friendship with other stamping professionals. You know we talk shop … or should be say STAMPING!! Next we were off to our General session where we saw demonstrations and new products.

The pictures didn’t turn out as nice because the screens are not as big as when we are at a Stampin’ Up! event, but here is one of our new products …

Beautiful bell images to stamp and die cut (equally as beautiful) in the BELLS ARE RINGING Bundle.  Speaking of bundles … look at the bundles of goodies we left General Session with …

Oh … Oh … there is the catalog, along with 2 brand new stamp sets, some really cool foil embellishments and wrapping paper!! Oh my gosh, I have so many ideas swirling around in my head! However, we still have a fairly new Annual Catalog, and I still have lots to show you there too. If you have your Wish List prepared ….

I also have an amazing offer to you while I’m gone. It’s a great way to put a little dent in your Wish List and cash in on some fabulous benefits designed for you.

A Simply Beautiful Card & My “Cat’s Away” Sale …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

As you read my post today I will be heading to the airport to join my fellow demonstrators who achieved the Greek Isles Incentive trip. I am so grateful to all of you who have supported my stamping business. I want to share with you a beautiful card, and an amazing sale designed just for you.

Today… quick and easy cards are the focus because many of us are so busy these days, but will still need our creative time.  Have you ever had left over cardstock pieces from other projects (happens to me all the time)? Well, we can’t let that go to waste, can we? … Nope, we revise and make it a totally new card!

I used the left over pieces from my Magnolia Card Class to create this card.  To keep life simple and use up those left over pieces, I just added a pre-printed card from the Memories and More Card pack. This is a great card pack for scrapbookers, however, I use it all the time to make quick cards.  Check out the video to see what is in this card pack …

So what do you think about the Magnolia Lane card packs? Pretty great way to make quick -n- easy cards, and to create quick scrapbooking pages as well.

NOW … I want to share a special offering I designed for you!

TODAY’S PROJECT SUPPLY LIST ….

Using Scraps to Create Beautiful Cards ….

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

And a Happy 4th of July to you and your family. I hope you are out enjoying the festivities, if that is not your thing, I’m thrilled that you stopped here to visit me! I have a fun card created with the Garden Lane Designer Series paper. I find that designer papers are one of the quickest ways to create fun, beautiful cards and we have so many beautiful papers.

Todays card was created simply with some left over designer paper and scraps … those little pieces we don’t know what to do with but never throw away …lol.  A quilt makes a good pattern, today’s is simple – a 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ Mint Macaroon base with 4 pieces of Garden Lane Designer paper measuring at 1-1/2″ x 1-1/2″ squares.

Adhere the small squares evenly onto the Mint Macaroon base. To add some texture to the card, I added a Clear Faceted Gem to the center with the Mossy Meadow Bakers twine from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo pack behind it. Because I added the twine to the adhesive on the gem, you can either use Glue Dots or a small dimensional to adhere the gem to the card.  Don’t you love the dimension and the texture of this card ….

The base is Whisper White and cut horizontally to an 4-1/4″ by 11″ size where you will score and fold at 5-1/2″ (center). The front of the card base has a 4″ x 4″ coordinating piece of Garden Lane Designer paper that is mounted directly to the card base approximately 1/4″ from the top.  The quilt piece described above was mounted with Stampin’ Dimensionals to add some additional dimension.

The greeting comes from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set and is stamped in the Mint Macaroon. This is the perfect layout for any occasion … just change out the designer paper and the greeting!

Thanks again for joining me on this 4th of July … I’ve enjoyed your company!

Have a wonderful day and a safe and happy holiday weekend.

Bloom & Grow Bundle …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have a beautiful card samples & post direct from Stampin’ Up! Picture this: a tiny seedling on the verge of breaking through the soil. Can you see it? Now water it with affection and good vibes. What do you have after a little bit of time and a whole lot of love? A blossom—bold and beautiful and blooming!

Now imagine that in a stamp set. With the Bloom & Grow Bundle, you can see the entire story of the blossom: from tiny seedlings to beautiful bouquets. Then sprinkle in some encouraging sentiments, and you’ve got a card for everyone you love!

If you’re just beginning on your stamping journey, you can use these gorgeous stamps to create a patterned look for a simple but beautiful project as we did in our “You Are Simply Wonderful” sample, or if you want to step it up a notch, try tinkering with the dies and a blender pen, as we did in the “Thanks” sample.

For all of you avid stampers, roll up your sleeves and add this bundle and some ribbon to a treat bag to make the cute bag you can see in the samples. There are so many options! So go on, share these samples with customers, your friends, and everyone around you, so that you—just like the little seedling—can bloom and grow with just a few beautiful stamps, and a whole lot of love.

Thanks much for the visit, I hope you have an awesome day ~

TODAY’S STAMPIN’ SUPPLY LIST …

Hello July … Hello Magnolia!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have a beautiful card from the Magnolia Lane suite and a few announcements that are turning up the heat this July!!  Yesterday I shared a simply beautiful card with the Magnolia Lane Designer Series paper and today we are going to step it up a bit. I also gave you a stampin’ tip on pre-cutting your cardstock! On this card my base was cut the long way to 4-1/4″ x 11″ … score at 5-1/2″ and then fold.

I cut my designer paper to a 4″ x 4″ square, the I adhered it to the front of the card.  Next I opened up the card and tucked it into my die cutter (BigShot) and using the edgelit in the dies package included in the suite, you’ll place the edgelit about 1/4″ away from the edge and cut. This makes the beautiful cut edge you see on card.

This edgelit leaves a bit of an ident in your cardstock, but I used it to align my ribbon (this is one of the two ribbons included in the Magnolia Lane product suite) to the front of my card.  I love this ribbon, it adds some lovely texture to the card.  I completed the card by adding a little “Hello” …. perfect to send when keeping in touch with a friend.

Today also kicks off Stampin’ Up!s Bonus Days Promotion …

For each $50 you spend before July 31 (before shipping and tax) you’ll earn a $5 Bonus Days coupon code that can be used August 1–31.  Don”t forget that with your $50 purchase … you will also earn a Virtual rewards point from me!! If your unfamiliar with my rewards CLICK HERE for Details 🙂

Simply Sunday: Magnolia Style

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have another card created with the stunning Magnolia Lane bundle, and it’s super quick to create yet beautiful to look at. I also have some great tips in store for you.  Many of my stampin’ friends are oh so busy, that is why I dedicate my Sunday blog posts to simple cards, and what quicker way to create gorgeous cards that with our pretty designer series paper.  The Magnolia Lane Designer Series paper is one of my favorite floral papers.

With a simple base and a piece of designer paper … you have a beautiful card.  Add your greeting and a pretty strip of ribbon and you’re done! Here’s a great tip for you … While you have your paper cutter out, cut some extra card bases, then cut your designer paper into 4″ x 6″ pieces (then cut the 6″ side down to 5-1/4) Use the extra piece of designer paper to put inside your card 🙂  Why you could create your own little card kit!! Stamp up a few greetings as well and tuck them in little box and tag it Magnolia Lane. You could do this with all of your designer paper packets (even your older ones… makin’ sure we use them)!

On today’s card, my second stampin’ tip is … I let the floral pattern of the designer paper dictate where I would put my ribbon and greeting!  We don’t want to cover up all those pretty flowers, so I found a spot that I felt was made just for my greeting … lol.  I used the greeting from the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set in the suite, and punched it out using the Tailored Tag punch. You’ll see I punched the mat (Early Espresso) and cut it in half … I really made the greeting show up better.

The ribbon is not in the Magnolia Lane product suite, but it should be, it matches perfectly and is so elegant.  You will find the Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon on page 174 with the other ribbons.  The ribbon pack that is in the Magnolia Lane suite will be featured on tomorrows card.

I hope you enjoyed todays cards and the stampin’ tips inspire you to create your own card kits so making up a card when you need it will be super quick -n- easy. Let me know if you have any questions, or need anything… here to help.

I want to “Thank You” for hanging out with me this Sunday.

I hope you have an awesome day ~

Hello Magnolia!!

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

If you are lovin’ the Magnolia Lane Suite, then today’s card is going to dazzle you!!  Just like you, I head to pinterest if I need a little inspiration and with my busy work schedule lately that is right where I went when I was planning my Magnolia Card Class. It may have been storming outside but we were safe inside with out Magnolia Lane Suite and flowery treats!

Today’s card was inspired by a card I found on Pinterest from “Cheri’s Cards” but I put a big ole’ twist to make it my own … that’s where the “dazzle” comes from!

The base comes from the ___ which is included in the suite. I added some of the “Sprarkly” Shimmer paper to highlight the focal point which is our magnolia.  The magnolia was stamped with White Craft Ink on our Vellum Cardstock and heat embossed with the White Embossing powder.

Once the embossing is complete ~ it’s time to color!  I used the Stampin’ Blends because well … they blend so nice. I really wanted the colors to POP so I chose the Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green, these colors really go together nicely.  Flip OVER your embossed paper because you will be coloring on the backside. We started with the flamingo and brushed the color on from the bottom of the petals and went about half way up, then added a little more to the base (bottom) of the petal to create a darker look.

Then came the leaves … with a stroke of the Dark Granny Apple Green up the center and then finished it off with the Light. It dries pretty quick, so you can now flip it back over to the front where you can feel the raised embossed area.  We will also add a little color on this side … add just a touch more of the Flirty Flamingo to the base of the petals, creating even more depth. Then we add some Daffodil Delight onto the center of our Magnolia.  Time to pull out the framelit die and cut it out.

To finish off our card, we stamped the greeting “Hello” from the stamp set as well, in Flirty Flamingo and backed it with Silver Foil … this brings out the silver imagery on the card base! We also added some of the twine that is in the duo ribbon pack included in your product suite!  It doesn’t take much to create amazing cards with Magnolia Lane product suite …. there are so many fun and interesting elements included in the suite.

Thank you for spending a part of your Saturday with me, I will be back tomorrow with another Magnolia Lane card share.

Have a beautiful day ~

Thinking of Magnolia’s …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

The magnolia family is one of the oldest trees in existence. Because magnolias are so old, their flowers do not have true petals and sepals; instead, they have petal-like tepals… all I know is they are beautiful and the Magnolia Lane is one of my favorite suites in the new catalog. How about you?

Today I’m sharing a sweet magnolia card with you that’s simplicity and beauty will surely warm your heart. Your friends are going to love receiving this card … letting them know you are thinking of them ….

The base of the card is Basic Black … Just like a little black dress, it goes good with the magnolia flower. The flower was stamped with Momento ink and then I sponged a hint of Flirty Flamingo in the center of the flower and then added a touch of Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. The soft color adds a beautiful contrast to the stark white and black.  The leaves are colored with the Old Olive Duo Stampin’ Blends …

The greeting also comes from the stamp set, the soft flowing script coordinates perfectly with the delicate flower.  I punched out the greeting with the Pretty Label punch … several punches of the Basic Black for a mat behind the greeting and really makes it pop and finishes the card off beautifully.

I hope you enjoyed a sneak peek into my Magnolia class … this is not one of the cards we’re making but it’s sure a good start!

Free As A Bird: Spotlighting Technique

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Happy Monday! Yesterday I shared a simple spotlighting technique using the Bird Ballad Designer paper and said I would share another type of spotlighting technique with you today.  This spotlighting technique is done with hand stamped imagery… and today I’m using the Free As A Bird stamp set…

I have chosen to use Basic Black and Whisper White cardstock with a simple stamped image in black to start my card.  Then I stamped my chosen image of the birds on a branch with the Black Momento Ink.  This way when I color the image I’m going to spotlight … it will really stand out! In other words, it spotlights that section of the image.

Another simple spotlighting technique with the fun of coloring, whether you use the watercolor pencils, Stampin’ Write markers or the new Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers you are sure to fall in love with this. Choose an image from your favorite stamp set, I’m using the Free As A Bird stamp set … you will stamp your image twice (or you can cut out the image as I did yesterday to spotlight).

Because I used the Layering Squares Framelits Dies yesterday, I’ve decided to use them again today to cut out and spotlight my part of the image I stamped.  I decided to spotlight the two birds sitting next to each other because my greeting states “We are the best of friends”.

I used the Stampin’ Blends to color my sweet little birds but the watercolor pencils and the markers would work just fine too.  I just love the watercoloring look you get with the stampin’ blends.

Have yourself a wonderful day ~

Simply Sunday: Simple Spotlighting Technique

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Hope you’re enjoying your weekend. It’s been nice here lately but rain is in the forecast for today, so it’s a good day to stamp.  If you’re looking for a quick way to make cards with your designer paper and want to add a pop of fun, I love the “Spotlighting” technique! When using your designer papers, there’s no coloring or fuss at all. (Although I do love to color)!

Today I’m using the Bird Ballad Designer paper from the Bird Ballad Suite / Free As A Bird Bundle.  I teamed that up with the Layering Square Framelits (the Stitched Nested Labels Dies come in the suite/bundle).  I also used the Free As A Bird stamp set for my greeting …

To create the spotlighting “with no wasted designer paper” simply cut your designer paper at 4″ x 5-1/4″ … this will give you a nice boarder around your designer paper.  Lay your designer paper onto your die cutter and cut out your desired image, you can see here that I am using the bird to “spotlight” on my card.

Then I simply die cut a coordinating piece of cardstock … I used Early Espresso for my base and mat behind my spotlighted area.  When you place your die cut bird directly from your designer paper and then put it right back in it’s place with a mat behind it … it spotlights that image. Do you see how the images on the cut piece still line up with the images on the background?  Cool right? And Simple.

I love using this technique on our patterned papers that have fun and interesting images.  The spotlighting technique can also be used on your stamped images, and I can share that with you tomorrow!

Thank you for taking time out of your Sunday to visit with me. Hope you found this card helpful and that it inspires you to create some quick -n- easy cards.

Enjoy the rest of your day ~

You’re My Anchor … Masculine Card

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

With Father’s Day right around the corner, I knew another masculine card was in order.  Today’s card also comes from the Come Sail Away suite and works perfectly when your sending encouragement …

My background has one of the designs for the Come Sail Away Designer Series paper and is adhered to the Night of Navy card base.  My lighthouse is stamped with Night of Navy on Whisper White cardstock.  I used the coordinating Balmy Blue cardstock to pull the color out of the designer paper and stamped the greeting onto it, then cut it out with the coordinating die that is included in the bundle.

Also included in the suite are the Bakers Twine and Sail Away Trinkets which really tie the whole card together and works nice to attach my anchor!

There will be many more samples to come from this amazing product suite.   Thanks for joining me today.

See you tomorrow ~
