Dainty Delight Makes the Perfect Gift Card Holder …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’m going to show you what I did with the last piece of the Dainty Flowers designer paper to create the Perfect Gift Card Holder. Great for Birthdays, Graduations, Thank You’s and more. Isn’t this just the cutest?

You start with a half sheet of cardstock measuring 11″ x 8-1/2″ … score at 2″ and 5-1/2″. The 5-1/2″ score it to fold your card in half, the 2″ section gets a piece punched out of it and then it’s tucked under to create the pocket for your Gift Card. I used Tear & Tape Adhesive along the edges to secure it.

I used a piece of 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Dainty Flowers for the inside … the right side will be exposed when the card is closed. The Label Me Lovely Punched was used to punch the piece out of the pocket and for my sentiment.

I created an area for you to write in … the Basic White measures 3″ x 4″ and the Mango Melody mat is 3-1/8″ x 4-1/8″…. and you won’t be able to see it while the front is closed so your message is safe! lol

The front Mango Melody piece used to mat the designer paper measures3-3/8″ x 4-1/8″, making the Dainty Flowers designer paper 3-1/2″ x 4″. I used Framed Florets for my sentiment on the front and punched it with the Label Me Lovely punch. The Mango was punched and then cut in half and then adhered to the top half and bottom half (see the split on this back view).

Those pretty flowers sure can make an adorable card to wish someone a happy birthday and tuck a little something in there for them to treat themselves.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope these sharing these cards with the beautiful Dainty Flowers Designer papers has inspired you pick a pack up for yourself.

Have a wonderful Monday ~

Here is a list of supplies used for today’s card …

Two 4 Tuesday: Gift Card Holders

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I’m excited to share 2 Gift Card holders with you today … one masculine, the other feminine.  As I was cleaning out some boxes in my back room, I discovered a whole bunch of “pre-cut” cards left over from one of my retreats … usually I try to make them all up, but this one got away from me!! That is when I decided to “re-create” some of them, so I’m starting with the Gift Card Holders!!

Here is the original Gift Card ….

I decided to use up some of the beautiful Tropical Oasis Designer Paper.  This paper will only be available for a short time!!  The Retirement list will be coming out in May sometime, and once this out … it’s till supplies last!

The designer paper is so pretty … I fussy cut the three little flowers out of the designer paper to embellish the greeting.  The greeting comes from the “Tropical Chic” stamp set.  I had not used that one yet or I would have bought the coordinating Timeless Tropical Bundle, but like you, I have to keep an eye on my purchases.

I used the “Stitched Nested Labels” Dies for my greeting, which creates a nice focal point on the card. I’m using the same card base and greeting die cuts for both cards.  The only thing I changed was the designer paper.

My masculine card features the “Country Club” Designer Series Paper …

I don’t really have anyone in my family that golfs, but that never stopped me from getting a designer paper!!  I love the plaid design … and if you flip it over, you’ll see a background of golf balls and tee’s!  Yes, I cut those out too … the tee’s that is. I actually used the 1/2″ circle punch to punch out the gold ball and then just gave it a little trim.  Much easier that trying to cut a perfect circle!!

My greeting for the masculine gift card holder comes from the “Peaceful Moments” stamp set. Hey … we have all these different stamp sets, might as well use them!!

The card front looks like it’s cut short to expose the inner card, but it’s actually scored and tucked inside to create the pocket for your gift cards / money.

I use a punch to take out a piece of the pocket so it’s easier for your fingers to grab that gift! lol  I prefer to use the Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the sides of my holder … holds up better than the Snail Adhesive.

A quick reminder that I have Special for April … When you purchase through me, I will pay your taxes this month.  A $50 order (before Shipping/Tax) will get you the Virtual Rewards Point, your taxes paid, and I’ll send you the PDF instructions w/dimension on how to make the “Gift Card Holder”.

Let me know how I can help you!  Meanwhile, one last look at these cuties today …

With the Retirement List looming … that also means that the NEW CATALOG will soon be here.  All Stampin’ Friends who have purchased within the year, will automatically be sent or given a 2020-2021 Annual Catalog when released.  Make sure you are on my mailing list!!

Thank you for stopping by my blog today, it’s much appreciated.

Have a good day ~

Getting Ready for Christmas!?

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Back again today with some more shares of past Holiday retreat stamping. Below I have just a few of our “Gift Tags” that we made last year. We also decorated a cute tin to hold all of their tags!

These were made with the Stocking Stamp set and dies which have been added to our Annual catalog!! I love that, it gives me a chance to show you even more things to do with the items you’ve already purchased.

Our next grouping of stamped goodies comes from our 2015 Holiday Retreat!! Oh what fun these were … might have even been the hit of the retreat … GIFT CARD ENVELOPES!!

I found a great pattern so these were super simple to create, and we just jazzed up the outsides so they would also be a hit from anyone who received them. Just adorable!

You never know what we’ll be making at our retreats, always something new and fun… you’ll have to join us sometime.  I have a new attendee this year, everyone else has been there before … some, several times (One hasn’t missed one yet!) We also have someone from as far away as Oklahoma!!

We have a blast at our stamping retreats, and I can’t wait to get this Holiday Retreat started! This time next week, we’ll be stamping away!

Thanks for joining me here today on my blog. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
