You’re My Hero …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Sorry for missing a post, but I got the flu and it really took me out of commission! Feels like I was mugged … my ribs hurt! Anyway … I can finally sit up so I’m going to share a review of some cute cards that feature the Ronald McDonald House stamp set … “My Hero”.

I have 7 card samples for you from this one stamp set! Let’s begin with a very appropriate card for the day …

000_3521

The umbrella in the “My Hero” stamp set coordinates with the Umbrella Weather Framelits on page 193 of our annual catalog.

Our next card is easy to make and I used the Layering Ovals Framelits to make my eggs and the Layering Square Framelits for my greeting.  Once you have these framelits … you’ll wonder how you ever made cards without them!

000_3519

This is the card that bears the name of our stamp set “My Hero”. Here I pulled out all the punches to create this card. The greeting stamp coordinates with the Best Badge punch and the Banner Triple punch was used for the banners … let’s not forget our stars!

000_3508

Now here’s a fun one … I this card I used the pumpkin face to adorn the lines cut from the “Swirly Scribbles Framelits”. Gently use the end of your scissors to curl the free ends.

000_3517

I used the Heart stamp to create this cute little Valentine’s card. The pretty paper comes from the “Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Paper” and the Sweetheart Heart punch.

000_3527

Next, our cute little “Celebrate” card. The designer paper is the “Festive Birthday”.  Again I used the Banner punch to create my banners and the band in the center was embossed with the Festive embossing folder to give it some texture and a little jazz!

000_3529

And last but not least is our Christmas card.  I used the “This Christmas” Specialty paper which is layered over the “Holly” embossed cardstock. Our greeting was punched out and layered over the Metallic Foil Doily and topped off with a Star from the Metallic Enamel Shapes.

000_3515

I wanted to share all of these cards at once so that you could see how versatile this stamp set really is. You can be a HERO, when you purchase the “My Hero” stamp set … $3.00 goes to the Ronald McDonald Houses throughout the US. It’s a easy way to help children fighting for their lives by keeping their families close to them.

Pair up this stamp set with some of the suggested coordinating products and you can also qualify for a FREE Sale-a-bration item.  Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for stopping by …

Stay healthy and have a nice day!

TODAY’S SUGGESTED PRODUCTS …

Simply Sunday: Birthday Bash

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’m going to share 2 birthday cards. One is an invitation and the second a birthday card. Both of these projects are so quick and simple to make … I used the February Paper Pumpkin to make these.

Let’s start with the invitation … the “invite” portion is already pre-printed for you, and there are 12 of these invite pieces in the kit. I matted the invitation with a piece cut from one of the patterned cardstock pieces that are in the kit. You can get 2 pieces this size from the sheet and still have some left over.

000_4121

I wanted a little texture on the card so I embossed the Night of Navy with the “Simply Falling” embossing folder and used dimensionals to pop it up.

Our second card is for the birthday person.  Again I used the “Simply Falling” embossing folder, I didn’t want to add much more to my card, I wanted to mainly use the supplies in the kit.

000_4117

Not a Paper Pumpkin subscriber yet? Not to worry … you can easily recreate this card with some designer series paper.  I used the left over glimmer paper from the kits flames, and cut my flames using the leaf from the “Stylish Stems” framelits. There is even a smaller leave die you could use … they make really good flames for our candles.

I stamped the greeting in Flirty Flamingo ink that was included in the kit.  They sent use two spots this time … I save them all and used them when I need to edge a stamp with a different color, or when I’m using small stamps or alphabets.  They are really handy to have around.

It’s fun and easy to create with Paper Pumpkin, plus it’s on sale right now.  If you purchase the 3-month subscription, you can also chose a FREE Sale-a-bration item.

Thank you so much for sharing a part of your day with me.

Have a Happy Sunday!

TODAY’S STAMPIN’ SUPPLY LIST …

Need an Alternative?

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’d like to share with you some alternative projects created from the February Paper Pumpkin kit. It’s always fun to see what else you can do with the original items in the kit. I’m sharing from the Stampin’ Up! Get Inspired Blog post …

This kit will help you effortlessly plan the perfect birthday surprise for someone you love. Whether you’re sending wishes their way in a card, creating party invitations, or giving a gift card, the pull tab candle cards will help you pull it off with flare!

144332G

And since the kit name is Many Happy Birthdays, here are some more ideas to keep the flame of creativity burning bright. First, using just the kit components, you could turn the many happy birthdays cards into mini happy birthday cards by making a set of tiny cards.

February_PP_alt1

Next, transform the pull-tab pocket card into a literal pocket card. Just assemble the card base, trim the bottom, snip the end corners at an angle, and add some adhesive at the bottom to seal it shut.

February_PP_alt_2

As always, hang onto that stamp set so you can use it on future projects—like this card. The geometric line images create simple background in any color scheme.

February_PP_alt3

This kit is on fire! Don’t let the fun burn out—order many more refills today, while supplies last.

PP_Birthday

The Many Happy Birthdays Kit is just in time to celebrate our fourth birthday in March! We’ve come a long way and look FOUR-ward to many happy birthdays with our Paper Pumpkin peeps.

Don’t forget, right now you can skip to the Sale-A-Bration with Paper Pumpkin! Get a 3-month subscription for just $55 and instantly qualify for a FREE Sale-A-Bration item!

Wedding Cheers …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I finally get to share with you the card I made using the “just introduced” Sale-a-bration stamp set; Reverse Words.  I wanted to do something a little different with this stamp set so here it is …

000_4110

I used the “Rock -n- Roll” technique on the stamp … I started with Blushing Bride and inked up the stamp, the I “rolled” the Sahara Sand ink pad around the edges of the stamp so it left some of the pink in the center. Then I stamped it onto Very Vanilla cardstock.

I matted my greeting with the Blushing Bride cardstock and mounted it onto the base of the card.  However … before I did that, I layered some Blushing Bride cardstock onto my base and the beautiful “Falling in Love” Designer Series paper. I just can’t stop gravitating to this paper!

000_4108

I wanted to pull the sparkly effect from the paper into my card. To do this I used my “Wink of Stella” to cover the entire stamped area (leaving the greeting in it’s mat form).  I then added the pretty little “Falling in Love” embellishment.

To carry the bling factor further into the card, I added one of the strips of rhinestones. They are fun and easy to use and it really complimented the card nicely.

I love that this card is a slightly non-traditional wedding card but still has the special feeling.

000_4110

Hope you enjoyed, and thank you for stopping back to check out my blog. Remember, the Reverse Words stamp set is in our Sale-a-bration catalog and can be yours FREE with a qualifying purchase.

Have a wonderful day …

Good Friends Like You Card …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’m sharing the second card that our Technique Club made in our February meeting.  If you recall, we did the “Peek Through” technique. The layout is almost the same as the card I shared with the new glimmer paper …

000_4101

We began with a Whisper White base and cut our flower into the Night of Navy.  Our second flower was cut out from So Saffron.  Both used the Precision Base Plate on the BigShot.

We also used the stamp set more on this card as we used not only the greeting but stamped a smaller flower and a leaf as well. Because the small flower, greeting die and leaf are all open dies (not detailed like the flowers) we used the Magnetic Plate. All of the images cut out used the coordinating framelits … Love them bundles!

000_4103

We tied the entire card together with the Bakers twine. I love that you can see all of the dimension on this card!  We popped up the entire Night of Navy piece along with the greeting and Saffron flower.

You can see step by step instructions on the cutting of the two main flowers on my Wednesday, Feb. 15th post. CLICK HERE TO VIEW

I  thank you for checking in on me and my blog today. Let me know if you have any questions on this awesome bundle.

Enjoy your day and have a wonderful weekend!

TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTED PRODUCT LIST …

Celebrate Every Day …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have a fun card to share with you that is full of color and full of layers, yet super simple to put together! Oh yes, and I’m going to tease you again with that pretty Sale-a-bration Glimmer Paper that will be released on the 21st! It’s less than one week away!

To create this card I pulled out my “Celebrate Every Day” Project Life Card Collection. I don’t just use my Project Life for my scrapbooking … I use it for cards and more. There are so many fun patterns and verses. Both of the “cards” came directly from the kit, no trimming or cutting!

000_4092

Here’s a short video that shows your everything that you get in the Card Collection and Accessory pack.

Memory keeping has never been so easy! With the Celebrate Every Day Project Life Card Collection and Accessory Pack, you can quickly and easily create photo pages, cards, and more.

I am somewhat attached to those cute little heart embellishments too, they are from the Sending Love embellishments found on page 15 of the Occasions Catalog.  Hearts aren’t just for Valentines. It’s one of the most treasured ways to express your feelings without saying a word ❤

000_4092

I used the Tombo Glue to adhere the Glimmer Paper to the base, and the flower card to my Glimmer paper and the Heart embellishments to that card.  It works really nice without the worry of the card falling apart.

Let me know if you have any questions about the Project Life Card Collections, we have more in the annual catalog! They are fun and easy to play with.

Thank you for checking out my blog …

I hope your day is a good one!
