In The Moment Stamp set meets Countryside Inn Designer Paper

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’d like to share with you another of my Annual Spring Stampin’ Retreat Cards. This card comes from our Friday Night stamp session where I highlighted the In The Moment stamp set … our theme for retreat was Friendships Grow and what better stamp set to use than one that celebrates women!

I also wanted to introduce some new product to my attendee’s, so we used the new Boho Blue In-Color and the Countryside Inn Designer Series paper! Let’s take a look ….

This is such a sweet way to tell your friend to sit back and relax, because they deserve it. The stamp set imagery includes three women relaxing by looking at the landscape with a lovely glass of wine or indulging in a hobby like reading with their furry friend.

The set includes three self-care themed greetings to mix and match with the imagery. The line-art images can be colored using your favorite coloring techniques.

We layered Night of Navy with the Boho Blue and popped it with the Countryside Inn Designer paper. The image was highlighted by framing it with the Scalloped Contours Dies.

The greeting comes from the In the Moment stamp set and was die cut from one of the dies from the Countryside Corners Dies / Bundle. Then we used the new Adhesive Backed Solid Gems. I have all the products used listed below.

I want to thank you for taking time out of your Sunday to join me today.

Cheerful Daisy in Lemon Lolly & Pebble Path

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

So excited to share the NEW Cheerful Daisy card with you that we made at my Spring Stamping Retreat. I’m also sharing the video replay of last nights Facebook LIVE and then the ingredients and dimensions so you can recreate this quick -n- cute card ….

Wasn’t that easy to make!! Here is a close up of my card

DIMENSIONS:

  • Card Base: Pebble Path / 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ Scored and folded at 4-1/4″.
  • Lemon Lolly / 2 pieces 5-1/4″ x 4″ … mat for designer paper (front) and white (inside) & small piece of scrap to add a pop of color behind the greeting
  • Designer Paper: 5″ x 3-3/4″
  • Basic White: 5″ x 3-3/4″ (Inside) + 4″ x 3-1/2″ (cut daisy) + 3″ x 1-1/2″ (stamp greeting) + small scrap to stamp the flowers center in Lemon Lolly

I learned something new today ….

What is the Centre of a daisy called?

A single stem arises carrying the flower head – this is not just one flower, but a composite of a number of tiny flowers which make up the yellow disc in the middle (‘disc florets‘) and the surrounding white ‘ray florets’ (which look just like petals).

Thank you for joining me today.

A Look Into my Spring 2023 Stamping Retreat

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I am back!!

It’s been a busy few weeks getting ready for retreat and quite the challenge getting in the new stamp sets/bundles and getting the cards created for the retreat but we did it and the cards turned out lovely. I will share a few in the upcoming days however today I’ll take you back to the beginning (well, almost!)

Not only do I design and cut cards for retreat but we create special gifts for our guests … here I am working on the name tags and welcome gifts.

The “Door Tags” were created with the new Creating with You bundle … I gave them a “chalk board” look with the die cut easel and the Fancy Flora Designer Series paper. It was the perfect choice!!

There is a reason I chose the Easel from the Creating with You ….

The Mantle Gifts …. each retreat we decorate the mantle with a cute little gift that highlights a product out of the catalog. For this one I used the Cheerful Basket Bundle. I’m going to miss that “crafting” stamp for sure … it retires and today is the last day to purchase it before it’s gone.

Here’s one side of the fireplace with our mantle gifts on them ….

I will be back to share more fun & shenanigans from our retreat. Just a reminder that the Annual Catalog and the Mini Catalog retire today. If you want anything out of those catalogs, make sure your purchase by the end of the day ….

Thank you so much from stopping by… I’ll be back tomorrow with more.

Have a great day ~

Linda

In My Heart Rock Star!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Oh yes I did …. I have another card from the Enjoy the Rhythm stamp set … this card highlights the love shared between you and your rock star! Love this one …. We’re going back to the days when we didn’t have all that beautiful designer paper, back when we hand stamped our backgrounds ….

Begin with a Mango Melody (retiring) card base and a 4″ x 5-1/4″ of Basic White which is hand stamped with the musical notes using Memento ink … Next up we’ll stamp our greeting from the Good Feelings stamp set. I stamped that in the Mango Melody and added the guitar for your rock star.

Then to create some interest I die cut our greeting with our Scalloped Contours dies … and layered it in black and again with more Mango Melody! Super simple card to make and fun!!

Thank you for stopping back today … Enjoy your Friday and Rock On!!

Enjoy the Rhythm of Each Day!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Begin with a Basic Black card base and front for a nice layered effect … Add some die cut circles for a great pop of color and to highlight your drummer using the Stylish Shapes and the Picture This Dies.

You can use your or their favorite colors! On today’s card we used Mint Macaron, Balmy Blue, Petal Pink and Mango Melody, and of course the Basic White to stamp our drum set on. It’s finished off with the Pastel Adhesive-Back Sequins.

Enjoy the Rhythm plus … FREE Shipping Coming!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I thought you might enjoy more cards from the Enjoy the Rhythm stamp set … ready so get your creative groove on? Today I’m sharing two cards highlighting the guitar and the Craft Note cards and envelopes!

Avid stampers are going to love this one with all they layering! First lets talk about the effect on our Merry Melody Embossing folder … Add some Memento ink to the embossing folder! Don’t forget to clean it off right away.

The guitars are stamped and watercolored and then fussy cut before being layered onto a piece of Textured Shimmer paper and the Layering Designs Vellum. Add a little sparkle with a touch of Metallic Mesh Ribbon behind your guitars … and a Silver Star for our Rock Star!

A bit easier and with a similar layout you can create this cute card ….

We begin with at Kraft Note Card … Stamp the musical notes with StazOn Ink onto your Layering Designs vellum (let dry) then layer the Balmy Blue cardstock and Vellum onto your note card. No fussy cutting on this card as it’s stamped directly onto our Basic White and colored with the Mango Melody Stampin’ Blends.

Using the Textured Shimmer paper and Starlit Punch, color white textured shimmer with mango marker then punch out stars, also one in blue. To finish your card, stamp your greeting onto Mango Melody cardstock and punch with the Happy Labels Pick a Punch.

I also want to let you know that on Wednesday … TOMORROW … April 19th / Stampin’ Up! is offering FREE SHIPPING on all orders of $75 or more. It may take a little bit longer to receive than the quick shipping we are used to, and that is due to the amount of orders during our Last Chance SALE … Let me say, It’ll be worth the wait to get YOUR items up to 60% off & SHIPPED FREE!!

Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by.

Girls Rock Too

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I have some FUN for you today and we’re going to “Rock It” with this card. I am using the Enjoy the Rhythm stamp set, so get your creative groove on. Whether you’re a maestro or a musical novice, you’ll appreciate this set. It features images of a drum kit, keyboard, piano, and a bar of music. You’ll also get greetings with a musical slant. Add your favorite coloring technique, and you’ll love the results!

I used the Stampin’ Blends in Flirty Flamingo so us girls could rock out …

I’m using the Hello Irresistible Designer Series paper with one of the beautiful color washes background. The soft look and the fun designs work great with this stamp set. The patterned paper highlights the “Book Binding” technique. I used the Stylish Shapes Dies for both the drums and the greeting, it adds a fun texture and enhances the shapes to make them stand out more.

I finished off my card by embellishing with the Loose Frosted Dots because us girls like our bling, and we know how to rock it!!

Thank you for joining me today.

Hand Penned Petals Faux Step Card

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I am bringing back a favorite today…. the “FAUX” Step Card that I changed up a bit … and I’m going through step by step with dimensions on how to recreate this card. Today I’m using the Hand Penned Petals and Penned Flowers dies, both are on the retiring list … and I love the way this card turned out. I have this all on video for you to view.

Let’s take a look at the video now …

Dimensions:

  • Card Base: Basic Black: 9” x 4-1/4” then Score at 1-1/4”, 2-1/2” and 5-3/4”
  • Cardstock #2: Basic Black Center Step: 8-1/2” x 2-1/4” then Score and fold at 5-1/2”
  • Cardstock #3: Basic White 3″ x 4″ for inside of card / Scrap of white for greeting and Highland Heather as a mat (Cut with the Layering Circle Dies)
  • Designer Paper #1: Hand Penned Petals (Mint Macaron) for Center Step 2″ x 5-1/4″ and Floral Design paper is 3″ x 4″ and 1″ x 4″.

I find it easiest to lay the card base out flat when attaching the designer paper, as shown in the video.

What a fun twist to the card … placing your “center step” either on the right or the left side of the card. It gives you a totally different look. For my card, I choose to put my center step to the right to balance out the greeting which I let “hang over” the left side … that gives it another dimension to the card.

As for that greeting … It comes from the Flowering Tulips stamp set and one of the main reasons I bought that set! I love the way this card turned out! Don’t you just love that feeling when you’re done creating something that turned out sooo cool!

I hope you enjoyed the quick coloring technique as well …. it was fun and easy to recreate the watercolor look. As for the designer paper … you can use any that coordinates with the colors you choose to color with.

Enjoy making this fun fold … it’s really easy, and I love the twist of placing the “step” off to the side.
