Scalloped Blooms & Garden Poetry Unite to Create Delightful Projects

Hello Stampin’ Friends!

Today I have something extra special to share with you! I paired the sweet and versatile Scalloped Blooms Bundle with the gorgeous Garden Poetry Designer Series Paper to create not one, but two delightful projects. Best of all, I’ve included the video tutorial below so you can craft right along with me!

Our first project is a cheerful birthday card featuring layers of scalloped circles, soft ink blending, and warm peach and lemon tones. The Garden Poetry Designer Paper provides the perfect backdrop, adding just enough floral beauty without overwhelming the focal point. A simple flower accent and a few embellishments complete this happy design.

But why stop at a card? I also created an adorable 3-D treat holder featuring a scalloped window and sweet flower accent. It’s perfect for small gifts, candies, party favors, or just adding a little surprise to someone’s day. These kinds of projects are always fun to make and even more fun to give!

I am really excited to share with you the release of the new “Stampin’ Trimmer Rotary Addition and blades”.  You can find them on page 176 and 177 of the Idea book and Catalog or the Holiday catalog – pg. 24.

I watched the demonstration of the rotary additions at convention and new right then and there that I just had to have these … remember that “deckle” scissors we used to have, well the “tiny wave” cutting blade will be just as much fun, and easier!!

Yesterday I posted the adorable “Halloween Banner”… today I am sharing the Stampin’ Up! video showing you how you can make the banner.  It includes great tips (like the Silicone pad) for hot gluing your project.  I love the Silicone pad – I use it when I’m adhering thin strips of cardstock or ribbon to my projects, it keeps the “snail” off my workstation.

Hello Sweet Friend Paper Bag

I would like to do something a little different today.  I would like to share with you a video from the home offices at Stampin’ Up!  So … just click on the link below!

From the Stampin’ Up! Home Office …We are going to show you how to make one of the projects featured in our 2013-2014 annual catalog. You will find this cute bag on page 88, and with the use of our trusty Simply Scored scoring tool you can make a bag just like this with little effort.

If you plan on stamping on your bag, you’ll want to do that before you put the bag together. Start with a 6 ½ inch by 11 ½ inch piece of card stock. Score it at ½ inch, 4 ½ inches, 6 inches, and then at 10 inches. Then turn the paper and score at 1 inch and 5 inches.

The next step is to cut off the two small tabs on one side — and then to cut small Vs along all the score lines around the edges of your paper. (The height of the bag can easily be adjusted to suit your packaging needs.) Finally, add some Sticky Strip which will secure your bag together. The extra flaps on the top will help secure your handles.

This bag has been embellished with the Mixed Bunch stamp set and the Six-Sided Sampler stamp set — and a highlight is the flower piece created with the Blossom Punch and topped with a Vintage Faceted Button.
