Petite Café Gift Bags by Stampin’ Up!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I would like to share with you some cute projects created by our Stampin’ Up! staff and shared on the blog “Inspired By” … this is a Stampin’ Up! blog that I check daily and you may as well.

Here is the post from Cindy B. / Senior Staff Writer:

Do you ever find yourself wishing that you had a stash of gift packages . . . so you’re ready for anything? If you’re super-organized and already have one—hurray! If not, I’ll share a quick tip: our Petite Café Gift Bags (item # 135826) are awesome. And they’re super-easy to dress up for any occasion. Just get out your stamps, washi tape, or Designer Series Paper and have fun making them festive! These Kraft, poly-lined bags are also perfect for treats as they are food safe.

Why not make fancy occasion gift packaging stash using our beautiful English Garden Designer Series Paper (item # 138440)? (Put a gift card inside—maybe for the couple’s favorite restaurant!) P.S. The lovely wedding stamp is from the Happy Notes Stamp Set (item # 139336). You’ll find the “Thank you” sentiment in our One Big Meaning Stamp Set (item # 139420).

Petite Café Gift Bags are also perfect for birthday party packaging. (I’m kind of a nerd about dinosaurs. Don’t you love the No Bones About It Photopolymer Stamp Set?) (item # 138756)

These thank you gift bags are easy to make and would be great to have on hand. Just tie the bags using Very Vanilla Thick Baker’s Twine (item # 138411). The “Thanks to you” stamp is included with the Happy Notes Stamp Set.

Petite Café Gift Bags include a tin tie closure and are $6.00 for ten bags. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Today’s Stampin’ Supply List …

Sweet Treat Halloween Keepsake Box

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

I’m back with my Halloween series of cards and projects … Today a project! I saw so many fabulous boxes created with the “Curvy Keepsake Box” that I had to order one for myself, and my first endeavor highlights Halloween and the “Motley Monsters” Designer Paper …

Isn’t that cute!  The box is so simple to create … just cut 2 pieces from the die (I slide the designer paper in too, to create the two tone look) I like using the 12 x 12 cardstock sheets cut in half for my boxes.

I plan on adding treats inside so I wanted to make a tag… and what better set is there to use than the new ” Merry Everything” stamp set.  I love a stamp set that you can use all year long! I love a great value too, an you can save 15% by bundling it with the coordinating “Note Tag” punch.

I wanted to recreate the candy color on the designer paper, so I sponged the Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie onto my Whisper White, and then stamped my “Good to the Last Bite” stamp. I used the new Memento pad … love it, love it, love it!

Let’s grab the “Sticky Strip” and put our little treat box together, and celebrate our sweet treat box. The ribbon is the new “Tangelo Twist” Satin Stitched ribbon … it’s even prettier in your hands!

Let’s not forget the yummies … Oh yes, and the little clothes pin came from one of my “Paper Pumpkin” kits!

Thanks for stopping by today and checking out my creations… it’s truly appreciated.

If you would like to purchase any of the materials I used to create today’s projects, just click on the link below.  I will send you a Step-by-Step Instruction Sheet with tips on how I created today’s project.

Have an most awesome day ~

To my Stampin’ Friends … I Heart You

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I am sharing with you a little peek into my Appreciation Party and a new card I designed to say “Thank You”!  Make sure you go all the way to the end … I don’t want you to miss a thing!

Let me start with one of the cards my Hostesses stamped.  We had a stamp camp after the dinner, but my hostesses were treated to two additional cards … my way of saying “Thanks” for stampin’ with me this past year.

The card was inspired by a fellow demonstrators card … the talent pool within our demonstrator circle is endless and very inspiring!

Because I will be sharing several samples with you … I will be listing the ingredients after each project, this will make it easier for you to pick out the items you want on your wish list.

The stamp set used is of course, a hostess set … I Like You, found on page 237.  The greeting comes from the Photopolymer stamp set; Endless Birthday Wishes.  My favorite thing about this stamp set is that you can create your own phrases!  Such as … have a lovely day!

I used different Designer Series Paper for the belly bands, but this one comes from the Park Lane packet.  The flowers were fun to make and topped off the box so nicely.

The door prizes contained samples of our newest embellishments from the annual catalog.  One of the goodies enclose was a yard of each of the 5 “Thick Bakers Twine” … which will bring me to my next sample!

I wanted to share a card that showcased at least one of the door prize goodies, and this is what I thought of …  All of the 5 thick bakers twine are present with hearts streaming down.  I want my stampin’ friends to know exactly what they mean to me, and how much I really do appreciate their loyalty and friendship.  I really do “HEART YOU”.

Hope you got a little taste of the fun that we had at the Appreciation party.  You can be there next year … I’m taking bookings right now for fall and Christmas stampin’ parties!

Contact me, ( I’d love to share the exciting new products with you and your friends.

Home Again …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

I have returned from my 2014 Spring Retreat … it was a wonderful time with a wonderful group of ladies.

They were welcomed with the banner I created using the kit that was free during Sale-a-bration.  I used the Silver Glimmer paper for the letters and dyed them just like the Easter eggs.  If you missed that post you can find it under the Scrapbooking or Technique Category list on the right side.

The cute little flower pots were bought at the dollar store.  I added foam and moss for a more realistic look.  I wrapped the flower that was cut from the “Spiral Flower Originals Die” from the “Celebrate Everyday” catalog.  I put the link for you to view at the bottom of this blog.

After dinner we gathered around the table to make additional flowers with the lollipops and a cute little flower kiss (Not Shown: Cased from Connie Stewart).

The ladies picked a flower pot and added to their bouquet!   We even made a couple flowers to go on our banner … here’s the updated look 🙂

Tomorrow I will share some of the swaps!  There was a lot of stampin’ talent this weekend!

Thank you for stopping by and …

Have a wonderful week!

Hello Sweet Friend Paper Bag

Hello Stampers ~

I would like to do something a little different today.  I would like to share with you a video from the home offices at Stampin’ Up!  So … just click on the link below!

From the Stampin’ Up! Home Office …We are going to show you how to make one of the projects featured in our 2013-2014 annual catalog. You will find this cute bag on page 88, and with the use of our trusty Simply Scored scoring tool you can make a bag just like this with little effort.

Hello Sweet friend Bag video

If you plan on stamping on your bag, you’ll want to do that before you put the bag together. Start with a 6 ½ inch by 11 ½ inch piece of card stock. Score it at ½ inch, 4 ½ inches, 6 inches, and then at 10 inches. Then turn the paper and score at 1 inch and 5 inches.

The next step is to cut off the two small tabs on one side — and then to cut small Vs along all the score lines around the edges of your paper. (The height of the bag can easily be adjusted to suit your packaging needs.) Finally, add some Sticky Strip which will secure your bag together. The extra flaps on the top will help secure your handles.

This bag has been embellished with the Mixed Bunch stamp set and the Six-Sided Sampler stamp set — and a highlight is the flower piece created with the Blossom Punch and topped with a Vintage Faceted Button.

I hope you enjoyed the video!

Hand Stamped Writing Tablet

Hello Stampers ~

Today I am sharing with you a project that my attendee’s made at my annual Spring Retreat.  You will need: Cardstock, Paper Cutter, Simply Score (or use your score blade on your cutter) Fav Stamp Set, Designer Paper and border punch to embellish and Sticky Strip to hold it all together.  Now you can create this cute project…  great for teachers, friends, and more.

paper & pen

You’ll begin with an 8-1/2″ x 11″ sheet of cardstock (we used Island Indigo).  Trim 1/4″ off the 8-1/2″ side, bringing it down to 8-1/4″ x 11.  Score at 5-1/5″ then 5-3/4″.

Simply Score                           Flowering Flourishes

Simply Score 122334                                                  Flowering Flourishes

To design the front we stamped the top with the “Flowering Flourishes” stamp set.  Then we used “Comfort Cafe” Designer Series Paper … embellished using Pool Party cardstock and the “Scallop Trim Border Punch”.

To create the pocket, start with a 5 x 4-1/4″ piece of cardstock (Pool Party).  With your Simply Score, you will score 1/4″ then at 1/2″ on 3 sides.  Trim out the corners where the score lines over lap.  Then fold cardstock at the score lines to create a pocket.  You will “sticky strip” the outer most scored fold.

You will use your sticky strip to adhere your tablet to your project as well.  Don’t forget to add a strip of Designer Series Paper into your pen so you have a matching set.

I’d love to hear who you will be creating this cute project for.

Have fun and Happy Stampin’
