Dainty Flowers Thank You Card …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have a great Thank You card for you created with the Dainty Flowers Designer Series paper. This was just one of the cards that my Stamp Club members made this month. I wanted to highlight the lovely paper you can choose for FREE during Sale-a-bration with a purchase of $50 or more … and if you love this paper, you will want the Dainty Delight bundle. You can find it on page 55 of the NEW Jan – April Mini Catalog.

I choose the pattern with the oval flowers, you can do so many different things with these, today I’m sharing a quick and simple way ….

I started with a Blushing Bride card base and then chose one of the floral stamps from the Dainty Delight stamp set and stamped the front with Blushing Bride ink. This technique adds the look of texture/ and dimension, and I just like the way it looked!! lol

Once the designer paper was trimmed down, I added an Old Olive mat to the paper. This pulls the greens out of the paper and compliments the Blushing Bride. You can pop this up with Stampin’ Dimensionals but I did not. I saved that dimension for my greeting ….

The greeting comes from the Dainty Delight stamp set and was stamped in Old Olive. Then I cut it out with the largest banner from the Stylish Shapes dies. I then cut another banner from Blushing Bride to use as my mat … I cut that in half horizontally and attached it so then ends showing on opposite ends. Then I popped it up using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Take a close look at the paper … see the texture? This is “actually” in the paper! It appears to have been run though an embossing folder but it was not. Amazing!!

Such a pretty card, and it’s because of this beautiful paper. I’ll have more cards to share with you tomorrow so stop back, or better yet … Click on the “Follow My Blog” tab in the upper right hand area of this blog.

Thank you for joining me today, I hope it’s a good one for you!

Here is a list of supplies used to make today’s card …

Save Your Scraps & Create …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

I have a bright and fun card to share with you that highlights the new In-Colors and shows you how to use up some of those scraps … even the thinnest ones.

We’re using two 1/8″ strips of Sweet Sorbet, Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide, Starry Sky, and Orchid Oasis. These are applied at an angle and then the edges are trimmed off. For the greeting, you’ll mask off the unused part of the stamp before inking then remove the mask to stamp and stamp the sentiment.

Then, die cut “Thanks” from Thick Basic White and shadow with Starry Sky.  Glue together and attach to card front.  Attach card front to the card base using dimensionals. Thick Basic White was used for the card base and front.

To complete the card attach Matte Decorative Dots above and below the greeting to draw your eye around the card. I love the color and dimension that it adds as well.

Thank you for stopping by today! Have a great week.

Expressions in Ink Tutorial …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have a pretty card for you along with the step by step tutorial … enjoy! A list of supplies used are located at the end of my post.

Thanks Card
INSTRUCTIONS
1) Cut Calypso Coral cardstock to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score at 4-1/4″ along the 8-1/2″ side.

2) Cut Basic White cardstock and Vellum to 3-3/4″ x 5-1/8″.

3) Use the grouped detail flower die from the Artistic dies to die cut four sets of flowers from Basic White cardstock.

4) Stamp the flowers and leaves on the Basic White layer using Poppy Parade for the largest flower, Calypso Coral for the medium flower, Crushed Curry for the small flower/flower center, and Old Olive for the leaves. Use the die cut flowers as a loose guide for the layout of the stamped images. You’ll be layering the die cuts over the stamping. Don’t worry about them being exact, the abstract, watercolor is part of the beauty of this set!

5) Once the Basic White layer is mostly covered with stamped flower groups, add a bit of adhesive above the center, where the greeting will cover it. Line up the Vellum on top of the stamped layer. You’ll add more adhesive later, this will just tack it in place for now.

6) Without adding adhesive, line up the die cut image over the stamped images. They will hang off the edges, that will be trimmed later. Once you have the die cuts where you want them, pick up one at a time and use very small dots of Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the die cut in place. Repeat for each die cut. Allow to dry completely!

7) While the glue dried, stamp “thanks” greeting from Artistically Inked stamp on 2-1/4″ x 1″ Poppy Parade cardstock with VersaMark ink. Cover generously with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Tap off excess powder. Heat emboss with the Heat Tool.

8) Once the glue is dried on the Vellum and die cut layer, use Paper Snips to trim off the excess die cuts even with the edge of the Vellum and cardstock. Gently lift the edges of the Vellum and add tiny dots of Multipurpose Liquid Glue behind the die cuts to help secure the Vellum to the Basic White cardstock. Allow to dry.

9) Adhere the layers to the card front at an angle. Add a strip of adhesive where the greeting will be added. Zig-zag a 12″ piece of ribbon. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the greeting over the ribbon.

10) Use dots of Multipurpose Liquid Glue to group about 7 orange sequins from the Sequins for Everything set around the greeting.

TIP: The easiest way to add the Sequins for Everything to a project is to add a tiny drop of Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the project where you want the sequin and then use your fingers or the putty tip of the Take Your Pick Tool (#144107) to place the sequin on the glue with the curved side down, like a bowl. This way you don’t drop a gluey sequin on your project where you don’t want it.

Thank you for stopping by for the visit today ~

Sunflower Thanks …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Yikes … sorry for the late post but I promised I would share another Celebrate Sunflowers with you, and I got a cutie for you today! Using some of the same techniques as yesterday and then “WOW” … I used the large sunflower colored with the Stampin’ Blends.

Just like yesterday, I stamped the background but instead of covering the entire card, I just edged the sides with the little sunflowers. Then I used a Sponge Dauber to add a touch of ink to the centers of the little flowers, and then around the outsides of the flower … this technique does 2 things; it highlights the small sunflowers, and then leaves the center bright and open which then highlights the large sunflower as well.

The next step is to stamp the large Sunflower image … I used the Black Tuxedo Momento ink (it’s the best when coloring with Stampin’ Blends) I”m actually going to die cut “after” coloring.

I used the Light and Dark Daffodil Delight and the Light Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends to color my sunflower. I start with the Light Daffodil Delight, the color the lines with the Dark Daffodil Delight and then used the light to blend the two colors. The Light Soft Suede was used mostly in the center and then a little in the base of the petals to create real depth.

I stamped my greeting onto a 3/4″ piece of Very Vanilla using the Momento Ink and then I cut it out to create an interesting twist to the card… I think it highlights the pretty “script”. It is then placed over the Bumble Bee Ribbon.

JOIN ME … tomorrow as I do a “FACEBOOK LIVE” to demonstrate how I use my Stampin’ Blends for coloring. I will be on my Linda’s Stampin’ Escape Facebook page … meet me at 6pm/central time!

Thank you for hanging out and waiting for my post today!!

Enjoy the rest of your day ~

Ornate Thank You …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Sorry I’m posting late today but you know what they say … good things come to those who wait. I think this one is my favorite so far, done in Mint Macaroon and Gold, it shines a light on true gratitude sent from the heart.

I used the pretty little die that I used on my belly band on yesterdays card (see it here). to create a cute pattern and highlight the gold in the in the designer paper.

I wanted to tone down the stark “Thank You” because the card is on the soft side of design so I stamped Mint Macaron onto Mint Macaron …. once dried I embossed the “from the bottom of my heart” in gold on top of the Thank you.

Did you catch the little heart on the card? Look at the pattern of the die cuts …. yep, it’s from there! The gold die cut piece will be on one of the two “bonus” cards that you will get when you purchase $50 worth of products from the Ornate Garden Suite.

My Special: I will send everyone who purchases a minimum of $50 in Ornate Garden products from me; A PDF file of full instructions & color photos for all 5 cards shared this week on my blog plus 2 bonus cards!!! You will be able to recreate my cards with ease as all measurements and step by step instructions will be sent via email and in full color.

Thank you for checking back and stopping in to see me today. I will continue with out Ornate Garden Cards tomorrow …

Ornate Garden: You’re Amazing

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Happy Monday to you! We are beginning a new week, a new month and I’ve got a new line up of cards to share with you! Starting today and going through the week, I will be sharing beautiful card creations from the Ornate Garden suite … and I will have a special promotion to go along with it.

Today’s card highlights three (3) of the items included in the suite; the Ornate Garden Specialty Designer paper, the Ornate Thanks stamp set and the Ornate Layers die set. This suite offers so many amazing options ….

The lovely flowers in the Ornate Garden Suite Collection are a modern take on classic Victorian florals. The gold foil accented paper, gems, and shimmery ribbon will add sparkle and elegance to your projects. You’ll love what you can do with this versatile collection. Share your gratitude with the included sentiments or pair with any sentiments for all-occasion projects.

I used the bright floral pattern as my background and the beautiful ornate die to highlight my greeting. The sentiments in the Ornate Thanks stamp set are perfect for sharing your gratitude to your friends and loved ones.

Here is a close up of the die …

The detail in these dies is amazing and I had no trouble cutting them out. I know many of my stampin’ friends like to add a sheet of wax paper for easy release. So if you want to create intricate layers and accents for handmade cards and other paper crafts using the Ornate Layers Dies.

To complete my card I added a piece of Whisper White on the inside and Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon in a pretty little bow.

I will send everyone who purchases a minimum of $50 in Ornate Garden products from me; A PDF file of full instructions & color photos for all 5 cards shared this week on my blog plus 2 bonus cards!!! You will be able to recreate my cards with ease as all measurements and step by step instructions will be sent via email and in full color.

A Rosy Thank You …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Don’t you just love Fridays!! I do … and I have the day off of work, it can’t get better than that 🙂  Although, I do have a pretty little card to share with you today.  It is from the Everything is Rosy product medley.  Today is the last day you can order this amazing product medley. On this card I showed my “Rosy” class, three fun and easy ways to use the Rose Gold Glimmer paint that is included in the kit … on this card we “stamped”!!

Stamping with this beautiful shimmer paint is only one way to use it, you can also spatter and spritz!!  I have the instructions for all 3 techniques noted in the “Card Instructions” when you purchase the Product Medley from me.  This view shows all the shine … love it!!

Do you see the cute frame around the “stamped” greeting?  That was part of the multiple images we got out of our one pass through the BigShot! They really enjoyed all the stampin’ tips during this class. It’s always my goal to show something fun and new at my card classes.  The beautiful floral embellishment is included in the kit … easy breazy card!!

This view shows a little more detail … sometimes all that shine and glimmer is a little bright for the camera! lol  Not for me, I love it!  The Rose Gold Foil paper in this kit is stunning and so many of the patterns in the designer paper have the Rose Gold Foil in it to coordinate so beautifully.

Please let me know if you have any questions on this amazing kit, just remember if you are thinking about ordering it … TODAY is the LAST DAY.  I have listed the items below for your quick reference or shopping… and I thank you!!

Have a great weekend and I’ll see you tomorrow.

TODAY’S PRODUCT LIST …

Friendship is Golden …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I hope you had a wonderful weekend! A bit drab and rainy around here, but I had a Stamp Club Saturday morning and was busy working on my stamping projects and website so I didn’t mind staying in.

Speaking of Stamp Clubs … our technique / product showcase this month was the “Sunburst Thinlits Die”. The groups loved the cards I designed for them, and I was telling them that they could cut 2 and do a slight twist  … well, let me just show you!

000_3217

I cut out two sunbursts, one in Very Vanilla and the other in the Gold Foil –  they are so pretty together. I set the Vanilla on top of the gold and gave it a little twist so the gold peeked out. I then mounted the entire piece onto my Very Vanilla base. HINT: I use a lot of dimensionals on the back … you don’t want sections of the rays to drop down.

For my greeting, I opted out of the bundle and chose the “Suite Sayings” and the Thanks for Being You. Sometimes you have people who do wonderful things for you and you just have to say Thanks! A friendship that is golden … thus my color choices for my card.

I heat embossed my greeting in gold and punched it with the 1-3/4″ Circle Punch and matted it with the Gold Foil punched at 2″.

000_3214

I couldn’t leave the inside plain, I had to continue with the “feeling” of the card so I chose the “Feel Goods” stamp set and heat embossed the “Those who bring Sunshine into the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves” in gold.  What a beautiful verse and how fitting … it really ties in with the theme of my card.

It may appear simple but it is a card packed full of thought and emotion. From the sunburst die to the sunshine verse … what a beautiful way to say Thank You!

Hope you enjoyed my card today. I love sharing different ways to use a product, it makes them much more versatile for you, and it won’t sit on the shelf (that is not good).

If you have a product you would like to see showcased on my blog … just add a comment below and hopefully I have it because I’d love to help you out.

Thanks for stopping by today, hope it’s a good one.

A World of Thanks!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Little change is plans, the card I was going to share with you will be posted on Saturday. Today I wanted to share a “World of Thanks” with you.

Annual15_p015_a

I have a special on-line shopper who has chosen me as their demonstrator but because she has chosen the “No Contact” I cannot send a Thank You card… so please know that I appreciate you!

Love this card … how elegant and simple it is. Created with the World of Thanks stamp set.

Thanks so much for popping in on me today.  I will be back tomorrow with my “promised” card.

Sneak Peek & Happy New Year!

Hello Stampin’ Friends and a Very Happy New Year to you!

I have enjoyed sharing samples and tips with you this past year … I appreciate you taking time out of your busy schedule to check out my blog. And a huge Thank You for designating me as your demonstrator when you place your orders. I am grateful for your support.

Today I want to share a card with you that expresses my gratitude …

000_2971

I just had to share the new “Botanical Builder” Framelits Dies and of course I teamed it up with the “Botanical Gardens” Designer Series paper.

Want to hear something really exciting? Stampin’ Up! not only bundled the framelits with the fabulous stamp set “Botanical Blooms” but they included the Designer Paper!! That really excites me because this fabulous bundle qualifies you for a FREE Sale-a-bration item!

000_2973

Don’t you love the larger flower and how it cuts to create a double flower. What a quick and easy way to add dimension to your card, and besides … it just looks cool!

I also used the cute “Expressions Natural Elements” … I left them natural because I thought it looked best with the designer paper. Did you know that you can dye them by sponging ink directly onto them or heat emboss them to create a metallic look.

000_2971

Thanks for coming over to my blog today … I  look forward to bringing you even more card samples, scrapbook pages, and stampin’ tips! Also watch for more stamp camps, specialty classes and as always our Spring & Fall retreats.

I wish for you a year full of friends, good health, and what your heart desires.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
