Simply Sunday: Beauty of the Earth Card Parade

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I have a treat for you today … a simple yet beautiful Slim Line card and a parade of other cards that were created from the amazing Beauty of the Earth Suite. I will also be sharing some fun techniques on these cards so, grab a cup of coffee and sit back with me while we go through these creative gems!

First up is my Slimline cards, this card fits in a business size envelope … I’m using two different patterns from the Beauty of the Earth Designer paper and joined them together with the pretty Gold Fine Art Ribbon; it has a touch of sparkle, so I had to add the Genial Gems to keep the sparkle going.

The greeting comes from the Beauty of Friendship stamp set / bundle. I chose the Cinnamon Cider as a mat and Merry Merlot as my card base … they pull those colors out of the designer paper. I find this suite / bundle very gender neutral … who wouldn’t love these cards!

My second card I’m using the same pattern of the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series paper and the Beautiful Trees dies. Another simple card when using your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine. The greeting comes from the Beauty of Friendship stamp set included in the bundle.

Ready to see another card using the same paper? The amazing thing is that each one looks sooo different! I used a landscape layout verses the portrait as I did on the first two cards and created this unique card. I also used Night of Navy on this card to pull out the blue in the designer paper.

I created the frame with the Stitched Rectangle Dies … I love this look, it’s new and fresh and highlights the designer paper. I added the tree and greeting from the bundle …

Now lets change things up a little by using a different pattern from our Beauty of the Earth Designer paper and a fun technique … the “Split Card Technique”. I’m using Old Olive and Early Espresso to coordinate with my designer paper. You can watch the video to see how to create this card yourself by CLICKING HERE!

Yesterday I shared the next card with you … the card base is Early Espresso and so is the tree itself, it made the Misty Moonlight designer paper from the Beauty of the Earth Designer paper really pop, and when I added the leaves to the trees … WOW! The leaves on the bottom are just another die cut of the top … just cut up into smaller pieces to lay upon the ground. So pretty!

The last card I have to share with you, used the same watercolor background paper but I’m changing up the seasons. Once the leaves are gone … well, winter comes next, and it makes for the perfect Christmas card …

I just love this card and I used the Chalk pen and Wink of Stella to add snow to my tree! How fun is that! I just wanted to show you that this is not just another tree set, but a bundle / or suite that can be used for any season … or any reason!!

Don’t forget it’s Sale-a-bration and you can get a FREE item from the Sale-a-bration catalog with the purchase of the suite or the bundle!! If you choose the suite … just add on a few more items and you’ll have enough to get my FREE Delicate Dahlia Class!

Thank you for joining me this Sunday for my card parade, I hope you enjoyed the many styles of cards. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Stop back tomorrow because I have another card that will knock your socks off!!

Autumn Inspiration …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’d like to share a simply beautiful card the Beauty of the Earth Suite that highlights the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series paper and Beautiful Trees dies. These can be found on page 11 of your Annual Catalog.

This suite makes it so easy to create beautiful Fall cards … and well, that IS my favorite season!! I love the smell in the air on a warm Autumn day and the way the sun shines through the leaves now that they have transformed into magical colors, it looks like they are being touched by God himself!

Can’t you just feel the warm sun on your face and while it makes the leaves almost glow …. and them smell of fall …oh my gosh! That is what inspires me! Nature … You don’t need to be an artist to create beautiful cards for your friends and family. And if your in need of the the inspiration and tools to get started, it’s all right here for you. Here is the stunning paper I used for my card ….

Check out this amazing color pallet … perfect for Fall!! Look at the image on the left side, I did exactly what Stampin’ Up! did in this catalog photo!! Our catalogs are also a great place to find inspiration. So you now follow my blog, make sure you follow me “Linda’s Stampin’ Escape” on Facebook and even my YouTube Channel for more inspiration!!

As I said, I took the example out of the Annual Catalog to begin my card. My background is also designer paper, in fact, it’s from the Beauty of the Earth Designer Paper in this suite. The suite includes the designer paper and the bundle 3-D Bark Embossing Folder!

My card base is Early Espresso and so is the tree itself, that made the Misty Moonlight designer paper really pop, and when I added the leaves to the trees … WOW! The leaves on the bottom are just another die cut of the top … just cut up into smaller pieces to lay upon the ground. Simple … right.

Just a little closer Iook at the card so you can see the watercolor detail of my background paper, and how the fallen leaves look. The greeting comes from the Beauty of friendship stamp set / bundle. Because we are still in our Sale-a-bration period through the end of September … You can get a FREE item from the Sale-a-bration catalog with the purchase of the suite or the bundle!!

Hope you enjoyed today’s card and feel inspired by this beautiful season called Autumn.

Delicate Dahlias …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have two cards, the video and the details for my Delicate Dahlias class. Does FREE * FREE equal a WIN * WIN?!! I would hope so 🙂 You can get the Delicate Dahlias stamp set for FREE during Sale-a-bration, and when you purchase enough to get yours … You will get a FREE class from me!

The Class Includes:

  • You will be sent an invitation to join a private Facebook Classroom where all of the information, tips and more will be posted.
  • A PDF for each of the projects in the class which includes pictures, instructions and a list of ingredients.
  • You will also have access to a video for each of the projects.

Here is the replay of last nights Facebook LIVE … I also have both cards to share with you today as well.

My first card was done in Mango Melody and Pumpkin Pie … sounds yummy doesn’t it! The tips shared in the video really helps in the alignment of the two step technique.

You’ll notice that I’ve changed a few things from the video. I noticed that my greeting was a bit crooked … don’t you hate when that happens!! So I just stamped it on another piece of paper and punched the ends like I did on the Cherry Cobbler card coming next.

I also used my Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blend to color my Opal Rounds. I also stamped some leaves and added them to the card … wow, it really makes the colors pop!

The distinktive stamps in this set really bring the dahlias to life …

I used the Scalloped Contours dies to create the background, and the Lovely Labels punch for my greeting. I didn’t want to get “too fancy” and take away from those stunning dahlias!!

I couldn’t get my “name game” to spin my winner here on my blog, so I’ll be sure to spin next week … I don’t want to miss my rewards to my loyal LIVE fans!! You guys rock!!

Hope you enjoyed today’s cards and all the tips shared in the video!! I thank you hanging out with me today.

Have a beautiful day ~

Happy Labor Day …

Hello Stampin’ Friends and a Happy Labor Day to you!

Today I have a special card to share with you to celebrate Labor Day created with of all things, a Christmas Bundle … Who knew! This little cutie can be used for many occasions … I’ll show you how I did it and you can use it for any occasion you’d like ❤

Wikipedia states: “Labor Day is a federal holiday in the United States celebrated on the first Monday in September in any given year to honor and recognize the American labor movement and the works and contributions of laborers to the development and achievements of the United States.”

As I get older, I have begun to fully realize what this special weekend celebration means… the celebration of those whose contributions have built America and those who maintain the way we live our lives today. Amazing … isn’t it?

It’s those people who serve us in some way, whether it seems large or small … we all play a part in it somehow. I am most happy when I feel I am a service to others, it is that interaction with people that makes my heart happy. So as I see it, I have the best job in the world … a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator – your creative coach!! I get to share my passion of stamping with you. So lets start …

Today’s card was created with 3 key elements … The Christmas Trimmings Dies from the Tidings & Trimmings Bundle, the Ombre Specialty Paper in the Annual Catalog and the “In Your Words” stamp set – a Host set shown in the Sale-a-bration Catalog!

I just love the great sentiments in this stamp set … so versatile and fun! And the fonts are “happy” and easy to read.

I’m using the Night of Navy Ombre Specialty paper for my background and my focal point which is the star. The greeting was stamped in Night of Navy and then the White piece was embossed with the Painted Texture embossing folder … adds a fun texture to our background.

The star was cut from the darkest section of my Ombre Specialty paper and mounted onto the front using dimensionals to add dimension to the card. I couldn’t resist adding the Wonderful Gems as they have flecks of sparkle in them and look coordinate so nicely with our Real Red card base. You can find those in the Mini Catalog … You can find all the ingredients to this card listed below for your convenience and shopping ease.

Hope you enjoyed today’s simple layout with some sparkle to celebrate our Labor Day!! I thank you for taking time out of your holiday to visit my blog.

Have a beautiful day ~

Simply Sunday: So Spooky

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Well, well, well … here we are and it’s Labor Day weekend already! The summer went by so fast, but I’m a fall girl and I love all the wonderful upcoming holidays, including Halloween. When I saw this designer paper I could not resist, I had to add it to my collection! It is the Cute Halloween Designer Series paper from the Stampin’ Up! Aug. – Dec. Mini Catalog. (Formally the Holiday Catalog)

We begin with a simple layout to highlight 2 patterns from the designer paper …

I’m not much for raw edges so I brought the two patterns together by using the fun and amazing BeDazzling Specialty paper that is in our Sale-a-bration Catalog… FREE with a qualifying purchase. I used the Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends to color it to match my card!

My cute, or should I say “Spooky” greeting comes from the Festive & Bright bundle. You know me … I like to get my money’s worth so I like to choose stamp sets & bundles that I can use for more than just one season!

I fussy cut my pumpkin and kitty although there is a punch for them … I love it when we have punches and dies that coordinate with our designer paper.

Sometimes cute and simple is all you need to send a little Halloween Hello to someone you love. I’ve got lots of cute Halloween cards to make … it just makes life easier! lol

Thank you for stopping by and spending a part of your Sunday with me. I hope the rest of your day is a good one ~

The Merriest Place to Be …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

And a HAPPY Friday to you all. Today I have two cards to share with you. Yesterday I shared my Be Dazzled card from the amazing Merriest Moments bundle, and near the end I said I thought it would look good with a Evening Evergreen base … so here it is!!

I liked yesterdays card, but I really like it with the Evening Evergreen card base. It’s pretty elegant. My next card is also using the Merriest Moments but it’s a fun & simple card.

I used a card base as I did above, this time in Whisper White … the card front is 4″ x 5-1/4″ and is embossed with the Merriest Frames Hybrid Folder.

I complimented the embossed card front with the Wonderful Snowflakes in the Mini Catalog.

The greeting comes from our bundled stamp set and was stamped onto Basic White cardstock and die cut with the die included with our bundle … it fits perfectly in the framed space!

I told you this special bundle is so fun to use! This is only the third card that I have shared so far, and each of them are so different.

Thank you for joining me today. I hope you have the “merriest” of weekends ~

Make your Merriest Moments Bedazzling!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

And how are you this fine day? The weekend is almost here, the kids are returning to school and I am busy preparing for some amazing upcoming events!! First off, my clubs start up in only a couple weeks, then there is World Cardmaking Day on October 2nd and my Stamping Retreat in early November! I can’t tell you how much fun it is to sit down and just make cards … then I pick out which ones I’ll be using for each event!!

Last week I shared this card from the amazing Merriest Moments bundle. Here is the link to the blog post if you’d like directions for this cards … CLICK HERE!

Today I’ve created something magical … I teamed up the Merriest Moments with the beautiful Bedazzled Special Paper from our Sale-a-bration Catalog! You see, with the purchase of the Merriest Moments Bundle, you can get this dazzling paper for free!and that is what Christmas is to me.

You will begin with a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock … your card base 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Then you will use the Bedazzled as your front piece. Both of these pieced will be run through your Cut & Emboss machine. When doing the card base it’s easiest if you have your score line for the fold done first so you can align the edge of your folder to the score line.

Once you have both pieces embossed, you will see how the Bedazzled paper will nest nicely onto the embossed image on your card front and the pretty little snow flakes show through. And yes, this bundle comes with the embossing folder, dies and stamp set.

The greeting comes from our bundled stamp set and was stamped onto Very Vanilla cardstock in Evening Evergreen, and die cut with the die included with our bundle … it fits perfectly in the framed space! To complete the card I added some of the Evening Evergreen Rhinestones from the 2021-23 In-Color Gems to carry through our glitz for the holidays.

This special bundle is so fun to use, and you’ll be creating wonderful holiday cards for your friends & family in no time. This sweet and simple card is so easy to make, yet looks so pretty and elegant!

If you wanted to make this card more elegant, I would make the card base in the Evening Evergreen as well, and carry that rich color throughout the entire card!!

Thank you for dropping in and checking out my blog. Enjoy your day~

Let’s start with the first cards created by using our Snowflake and Blending Brushes to leave a negative images. Once you see all the cards, the video will show you exactly how they were done ….

I wish you could see the Wink of Stella on this card, it really highlights the snowflake. Make sure you watch the video so you can see all the tips and techniques.

The second card was created with the Wonderful Snowflake that was used for our last card. This way you will get 2 cards from every snowflake … or 48 cards. And the pack of 24 Wonderful Snowflakes is only $6.00 (it’s a steal)

Simply Sunday: Spooky!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Are you a fan of Halloween? Fun Halloween or Scary Halloween … some of us like to be scared but some of us can’t resist the cuteness overload of the Cute Halloween Designer Series paper from the Stampin’ Up! Aug. – Dec. Mini Catalog. (Formally the Holiday Catalog) Yes .. that is what it’s called.

Last time I believe I share some sweet little ghosts with you, however today I’ve gone a bit batty! Really now … who would ever think bats are cute? But these little guys adorned with shades of Flirty Flamingo and Highland Heather, well .. they are hard to resist!

I simply cut my bats and adjoining circles using the Layering Circle Dies … together they create a fun layout that is easy on they eyes and works well with out polka dot background, which by the way also comes from the Cute Halloween Designer paper.

My greeting comes from the Festive & Bright Bundle also from our Mini Catalog. I simply stamped it onto a piece of scrap and tucked it in between my circles (they also come from the designer paper …

There will be no toil & trouble creating this card because the fun patterns on the Cute Halloween Designer paper and this simple layout will have you making these quicker than a witches brew!

Thank you for stopping by and spending a part of your Sunday with me. I hope the rest of your day is peaceful~

Together creates the Merriest Moments

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

When do you start making your Christmas cards? Some of my stamping friends are just choosing their designs, while others are done! Oh my! I am not that prepared … teehee! Today I have a most wonderful card to share with you, and I’ve used an amazing bundle which has some unique qualities and I’ll walk you through them.

This is really a simple layout but the uniqueness of this bundle makes it look like you’ve slaved the afternoon away, when in fact, you’ll just run it the your Cut & Emboss machine a few times and you’ve created something magical … and that is what Christmas is to me.

You will begin with two pieces of Mossy Meadow cardstock … one for your card base 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ and your front piece 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″. Both of these pieced will be run through your Cuti & Emboss machine. When doing the card base it’s easiest if you have your score line for the fold done first so you can align the edge of your folder to the score line.

Once you have both pieces embossed, set aside the card base and take the quarter sheet and die cut it using the “largest open die” …. it will nest nicely onto the embossed image. And yes, this bundle comes with the embossing folder, dies and stamp set.

Now that the front is die cut, you will notice that it also layers nicely onto the embossed half of the card base, but before you attach it (we used dimensionals) use your sponge daubers and add some Mossy Meadow ink onto the edges … this gives you some dimension by adding a soft touch of the same color.

The greeting comes from our bundled stamp set and was stamped onto Very Vanilla cardstock in Mossy Meadow, and die cut with the die included with our bundle … it fits perfectly in the framed space! To complete the card we added some Opal Rounds to add a touch of glitz for the holidays.

This special bundle is so fun to use, and you’ll be creating wonderful holiday cards for your friends & family in no time. And the sentiment says it all during the holidays … Together is the Merriest Place to be!

Thank you for dropping in and checking out my blog. Enjoy your day~

Friday Fun: More Pinwheel Tower Cards!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I’m back with more Pinwheel tower cards. I’ll be sharing the video replay of the Pinwheel Tower card again for our new viewers … it has the dimensions you need to create your own.

Let’s begin with the cute Pattern Party Designer paper with all it’s adorable patterns. In the video you heard me say that this has color on one side and black and white on the other, so….

For a pop of color, I did the Ombre technique using Bermuda Bay ink and my Blending Brush. I love how it turned out. I did “each side” as it lays flat the same … not intermingling the designer paper like I did on the other cards. So one side is Ombre and the other is ….

With some of the leftover Basic Black cardstock, I created a “pocket” to tuck in some money or a gift card into it!

Here are the dimensions for the Pinwheel Tower Card …

  • Tower: 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ … Score at 1″ – 2″ – 3″ and 4″ which leaves 1/4″ flap to secure the tower.
  • Cut 4 pieces of cardstock 4-1/4″ x 2-3/4″. These pieces will be attached to the tower.
  • Designer paper cut 4 @ 4″ x 2-1/2″ plus four slim pieces cut at 4″ x 1-1/2″.

I used the Elegantly Said bundle for my greeting as I did on one of the other cards, and I dyed the edges of the Glitter Organdy Ribbon to coordinate and add a hint of color to the tag.

My next card highlights the stunning Expressions in Ink Designer Paper… The pattern was cut to flow around the entire card. I simply can not resist beautiful designer paper … it turns a “fun fold” card into something elegant …

I used the Create with Friends stamp set and stamped my greeting in Evening Evergreen … I adorned the card with the 2021-23 In-Color Gems, also the Evening Evergreen.

STAMPIN’ TIP: You save designer paper when cutting a 12″ x 12″ at the 4″ dimension instead of the 4-1/4″ because the 4″ cuts equally and the other leaves leftover.

Here is the video

I hope you enjoyed these additional cards. Thank you for joining me today ….

Have a wonderful weekend!

Here is a list of supplies used to create today’s cards. You can click on any one of them to view the product and get more details. It will take you directly to my store so you may begin shopping for the items you need. Thank You ❤

The PINWHEEL TOWER Cards

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I’m so excited to share the Pinwheel tower cards and more with you today. I’ll be sharing the video replay of last nights Facebook LIVE which shares 3 different versions of the Pinwheel Tower card with the dimensions you need to create your own.

Let’s begin with the cute Pattern Party Designer paper with all it’s adorable patterns. I teamed it up with the Elegantly Said bundle. I used the Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends to color the Opal Rounds and White Glitter Organdy Ribbon.

This photo shows a piece of designer paper with a “pocket” to tuck in some $$ or a gift card!

My next card highlights the Whimsy & Wonder Designer Paper and the Blushing Bride Frayed Grosgrain Ribbon. I simply can not resist this designer paper and it turns a “fun fold” card into something elegant …

My last card is the Tidings & Trimmings bundle from the Tidings of Christmas suite in the Annual Catalog (the big book) The “Noel” used on my Whimsy Wonder card comes from this bundle as well … I love the color combination of this paper.

The dimensions for the designer paper are different on this card because I have “no border” around the edges. Here are those dimensions: Designer paper cut 4 @ 4-1/4″ x 2-2/3″ plus four slim pieces cut at 4-1/4″ x 1-3/4″.

STAMPIN’ TIP: You save paper when cutting a 12″ x 12″ at the 4″ dimension instead of the 4-1/4″ because the 4″ cuts equally and the other leaves leftover.

Here is the video

I hope you enjoyed the video and the cards. I will be sharing the “other card” mentioned in the video with you tomorrow.

Thank you for joining me today, and last night if you caught this LIVE!

Here is a list of the products I used on my cards. You may click on any one for more information on the product, or to begin shopping so you can start making these adorable cards. Thank you.
