Movie Monday: Be Merry Kit!

Hello Stampin Friends ~

Today we’re going to have a “Movie Monday”. I don’t have this kit yet, but the more I see these posted by my fellow demonstrators the more I think I may be adding this to my list!!

Make the season merry with festive rosette ornaments that you can hang on your tree or wreath or use as gift tags or on packages. This all inclusive kit makes 12 rosettes, 6 each of 2 designs. Rosettes are prescored and folded for quick assembly.

So what did you think? Wouldn’t they look cute on a gift package or adorning a banister … what if you doubled them so they can be seen on both sides and then hang them!!  So many possibilities!

Thank You for checking out my blog and today’s video.

Enjoy your day!

Simply Sunday: Sympathies

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

How did you like the video I shares with you yesterday of our August Paper Pumpkin kit; Giftable Greetings? Cool right! I think that it is so neat that your actually stamping a gift to give, and it comes with the cutest little gift box!

Today I’m sharing an alternative project … just another idea of what you can do with this kit. Where do I get my ideas? Well this was as close as the box included in the kit!

I sponged the edges of the Peek-a-boo Peach flower with Calypso Coral ink … just like the flower on the box (shown). All of the pieces used to create the card came from the kit, including the matching envelope!

Here is the video if you missed it yesterday …

Birthday Party Stampin’ Style…

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Another fun class last night with another group of fabulous ladies!  We made cards from the Birthday Memories Suite! The stamp set, dies and Designer paper all coordinate and make creating cards easy!!

I had to have a special little treat for everyone when they arrived, so I found some petite birthday cakes and presented them as if it were their birthday …

We learned how to combine the stamping with the dies, the dies with the  designer paper and the stamping with the designer paper.

On this card we went back to basics and stamped our background using the Pacific Point ink on the Pacific Point paper using the Surprise stamp in our bundle.

The bear was fussy cut but many of the images on the designer paper can be cut out with the use of the dies. We highlighted our birthday bear with the use of the Oval Framelits Collection.

This is an awesome bundle to add to your collection if you are always making birthday cards for the kids or grandkids! Keep watching because I’ll be sharing a cute card that will give you another reason to have it!!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Have a wonderful weekend ~

This week I am hosting my class (sorry, it’s filled to capacity) but I will be sharing more projects for everyone to enjoy. One of the great things about this bundle is the coordinating dies not only fit some of the stamped images but images on the Designer paper too!!

The cake, the fox, the dog, balloons and more can be cut directly out of the designer paper.

Here is a cute little treat bag …

Stop back tomorrow and I’ll have some tips for you to easily create this cute little bag!

Simply Sunday: Coffee with a Friend

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Don’t you just love the smell of fresh brewing coffee? Oooo … I do and what’s better than that, is to sit back with a friend enjoying a lovely conversation and a cup of coffee!

Today’s card evokes those feelings for me … the old fashioned coffee pot, our “Happiness” greeting and the corrugated heart ties it all together.

I used the cute dotted paper from the Coffee Break Designer Series paper for my background. In keeping with that theme, I used circle dies and punches to create my focal point of the card.

The coffee pot and cup were cut out of another pattern from our designer paper and then stamped our greeting omitting some of the wording.

The second half of the verse actually was stamped on the inside of the card and a little heart added to tie into the front design of our card.

The card was a simple to make as it will be to pick up the phone and invite your friend over for some coffee and good conversation, because Happiness really is coffee shared with a friend

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope yours is a good one.

Coffee Breaks and Babies …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I’m back … been very busy! Had a fun “Coffee Break” class with another group of fabulous ladies!! I have a cute card to share with you.

Also been up at the hospital … it’s OK, in fact it’s awesome! My granddaughter delivered a sweet little boy yesterday!! I’m GG again! Here we are …

He’s not too happy with everyone snapping pictures! He didn’t even get his bath yet!! So after he got cleaned up, his mommy put him in a cute little outfit …

Today after work I will be picking up his big brother (2 yrs. old) so they can formally meet and hang out!!

Time for a coffee break … We began with a simple card that turned out so cute! We began with the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper … this pattern is so fun and really let’s you know it’s all about the coffee!

We also stamped and cut out the cup and the lid. The little cup gripper was die cut and it actually dies the embossing at the same time …

Our little greeting is stamped in Garden Green and is attached to the grip. We also used the Corrugated Elements to say “Hi” and to add a little touch of fun and texture.

This is really a fun set to use and is for much more than a “coffee” bundle!

Thank you for joining me today!

Have a fabulous Friday ~

Road Tripping with Eileen …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’m going to take you along on a little road trip that Eileen and I took to Door County yesterday … Egg Harbor to be exact!

We went up to see one of Eileen’s favorite bands “Tonic Solfa”. I must admit, they are great and I really enjoy seeing them too.  It was an outdoor concert so after our dinner at the Florian II Supper Club (yes, I was so excited to finally get to a supper club again) we went back to Egg Harbor for the show …

It was a beautiful night, a little iffy because of the rain earlier but the show went on as planned.

Let me introduce you to Tonic Solfa…

Here’s one they sang …

And I’ll sign off with the beautiful sunset to a great day with my sister!

Thanks for stopping by today ~

Simply Sunday: Happiness Is …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

As promised I’m back to share my Simply Sunday card from the Coffee Café Bundle. This is a fun set to work with!

My background comes from 2 of the different patterns from the Coffee Break Designer Series paper. There are so many cute patterns in this series it was hard to pick which ones I wanted to use … guess that means I have to make more cards!

The greeting  is from the stamp set but I ued my Pear Pizzazz and Early Espresso Markers to color just the part of the stamp that I wanted to use as my greeting! Cool right!

I cut out the greeting using the Stitched Shapes Framelits and then matted it with Early Espresso and Pear Pizzazz ovals from the Layering Ovals Framelits.

I added 3 little hearts to draw your eye around the card … these come from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits! I tied up this card with a pretty little white bow which compliments the white in both of the designer papers.

Thanks for taking a little break today to check out my blog … hope you enjoyed my card!

Hope you can kick back and enjoy your Sunday.

Carols of Christmas …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I’m so excited to share with you one of the cards that my “Carols of Christmas” classes got to make. The excitement is this wonderful bundle is available to order NOW!!

The “Carols of Christmas” bundle is in the upcoming Holiday Catalog which will be released on September 1st, but Stampin’ Up! is offering a pre-order so you can get your stamping started now (by all means … I need too!)  The bundle contains the Carols of Christmas Stamp Set and Card Front Builder Thinlits Dies–all at a 10% discount!

Now I’d like to show you my rendition of the first card you will see in the upcoming video …

I used the “Be Merry” Designer Series paper on a Cherry Cobbler card base. The banner was used to draw your eye to the focal point … the greeting!

The greeting is stamped in Garden Green and then partially in Cherry Cobbler (which is cut down and applied over it’s counterpart) a great way to get tow-tone colors without the coloring!

We added a few stamped accents and then embellished them with a pearl and a die cut holly!

Now I invite you to sit back relax and check out the “Carols of Christmas” video by Stampin’ Up!

How did you like the great suggestions for additional projects? I think my favorite is the framed Vellum that goes over the photo.

Thank you for hanging out with me for part of your day!

Have a great day ~

Thanks man … You’re the best!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

And Hello August! Wow.. this summer is going by so fast! Hope you’re out enjoying it. I’m looking forward to a mini get-away with my sister Eileen to Door County to see Tonic Sol-fa

Tonic Sol-fa is an a cappella group from the Minneapolis–Saint Paul region. With a largely pop-music-oriented repertoire, their CDs have sold over 1,000,000 copies, and the group has toured throughout the US and abroad.

OK … back to stamping! As promised, I have another alternative to the July 2017 Paper Pumpkin kit … a bit more man!

I simply used the mountain scene as I did in the original design but did not tuck it behind the circular window but put it boldly in the forefront to create a focal point.

I cut the notecard in half and stamped the thanks which came from the exclusive stamp set that is included in the kit, as dose the cute little sun and mounted it all on the front. I then mounted that piece onto the white card.

Thanks for stopping back, hope you enjoyed.

Have a happy day ~
