Guest Stamper: Cindy C.

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I have a treat for you today! As some of you know, I love to share my Swap Cards with you and today is no different. This swap card comes from our Annual Holiday Retreat “Attendee” swap!!

These ladies make the most awesome cards so they must be shared. Today our guest stamper is Cindy C.  Cindy is also in my Thursday Night Technique Club so I know her well.  Sorry that the original post said our stamper was Cheryl.

000_3821

Cindy is using the “Greetings from Santa” bundle which includes the stamp set and the “Detailed Santa Thinlits Dies”.  The die makes this card very easy to create.

I just love the Red Glimmer Paper used behind Santa and the pop of black which is signature to Santa’s belt and boots! You can’t not be “HAPPY” when you get a beautiful card like Cheryl’s!

Thank you for stopping by and checking out the card share today.

I hope you have a wonderful Monday!

TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTED SUPPLY LIST …

Simply Sunday: With Gratitude ….

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Want to make amazing projects without the prep work? Meet Paper Pumpkin—a crafting subscription kit by Stampin’ Up! Because sometimes the best way to get creative is INSIDE the box. Every month, you’ll receive all the stamps, ink, and paper you need to make a fun, papercrafting project. Everything is precut and ready to go.

Feel free to change up the project kits a bit. Here is my “slight adaptation” of the kit. I simply changed out the way the greeting was layered … I brought up the Delightful Dijon banner to the front and stamped my greeting on that, then cut the Cajun Craze and adhered it vertically to the back.

000_3814

To carry through the Sequins from the “shaker” I glued one to the top and my bow on the bottom.  I also used the edges of the foam strips to pop up my greeting!

You can see the original design on the video and a variation from Stampin’ Up!  I love Paper Pumpkin … you can stick to the plan, or explore your creativity and add your own special touches.

Skip to the fun with us—sign up CLICK HERE

Check out the video…

Throwing kindness around like confetti is more fun when the confetti is in a shaker card! Star of Light Trio of Cards …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

First let me say “Happy Veterans Day” … a big THANK YOU to all our current and past military men and women who put their lives on the line, and those who sacrificed their lives so that we can enjoy the freedoms here at home. I U.

Today I want to share 3 beautiful cards that we made at our Annual Holiday Stamping Retreat featuring one of my favorite stamp sets from the Holiday Catalog … the Star of Light stamp set and Thinlits.

At Retreat and all my stamping events …. it is my mission to show the versatility of the stamp sets or bundles. Here we went from a simple card to beautiful elegance …

star-of-light-trio

Let’s begin with the center card, created using Elegant Eggplant and Wisteria Wonder. Simple but pretty and it highlights the stamps, ink and greetings with just a touch of bling to draw your eye to the focal point of the card, the star.

The card on the left uses Pool Party and Island Indigo a fun color combination turned elegant when we sponged the background and used the Silver Foil paper for our star, topped with a beautiful die cut. (This card was cased from a fellow demonstrator) I wish the photo would have reflected the silver so you could see how stunning it really is. We also used the new Metallic Enamel Shapes on the card which works so well with the Silver Foil paper … this was one of our “All attendee Gifts”(also known as Pillow Gifts as they get a package of goodies on their beds as a Thank You for joining us)

Our last card on the right seems to be everybody’s favorite. It was really quite simple to make, but so elegant when done in Very Vanilla and Basic Black.  The Enamel Shapes were also used on this card – the package comes with both Silver and Gold.  The designer paper we used comes from the Annual Catalog called “This Christmas”. It’s a specialty designer paper because it is a little thinner than our normal designer paper… but you get more!!

star-of-light-trio

I hope you enjoyed today’s card share, I would love it if you would please “LIKE” this post at the bottom if you did, and then tell me which one is your favorite!! The key ingredients to make these cards are listed below.

Thank you for spending a part of your Friday with me …

I hope you have a marvelous day!

Today’s Stampin’ Supply List …

Throwback Thursday: Bring On the Holiday’s

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’d like to share a few cards from the last two years that are still pretty relevant … meaning the core ingredients are still available in the catalog. Just sit back, relax and enjoy …

The wreath was always a favorite of mine and who can resist the red glimmer paper for Christmas, so pretty!

000_1652-b

My next card is the simplest of cards yet so pretty. Actually you could use this layout for any occasion, but here we focus on Christmas. We have so many pretty holiday papers to choose from this year, you could really go all out this year.

  000_1545

I’ve got more of the beautiful glimmer paper for you … this time in silver, and it coordinates so beautifully with the Delicate Ornaments stamp set and framelits. My tops were made with the Silver Foil Paper and then I added a touch more sparkle with the Rhinestones.

000_2830

Here is a little gift card holder I created many years ago, but it’s still one of the most popular and requested card when someone purchases a gift certificate from me.

santagiftcertcard

We made these little gift card holders at our 2015 Holiday Stampin’ Retreat. The a pretty quick to make and a lot of fun to embellish. If you would like the instructions for this “Gift Card Holder” just place an order of $35 or more using the Hostess Code: JPBU2RN4

Make sure to add your e-mail to your order and I will send it directly to you.  Remember, any orders over $50 will get you a virtual rewards point. (All order amounts are before shipping & handling)

 000_2841

I would probably be using the Candy Cane Lane product suite, in fact almost any of the holiday stamp sets this year would work great.

Hope you enjoyed the stroll down memory lane … If you have any questions about the products shown today, just leave a message in the comment box, or shoot me an e-mail at lindaluvs2stamp@aol.com

Thanks so much for joining me,

Hope you have a wonderful day~

More from OnStage plus Cutest Swap Card Ever!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Sorry for the delay … I am having so much trouble with my computer 😦  I just hope it lasts until I can get a new one in January.

I have more from our OnStage event and a cute really cute swap card! Let’s begin with a special invitation I received in the mail before I even left for the event …

000_3807

This invitation was for the “Center Stage” event that was held on Friday night. It is for demonstrators who have reached the title of Silver Elite (formerly Manager) and above. We pick up our bags which include a great planner, pens, a little gift and a brand new stamp set that will be in the upcoming “Occasions Catalog”.

000_3803_0001

I have much to be grateful for … especially the wonderful stampin’ friends (customers) I have become to know during my journey. They support me and help me to achieve my goals. Without them, I would not be me … YOU have become that special to me.

We spend the evening getting some wonderful training from Stampin’ Up! and fellow demonstrators. We also get to catch up with old friends and make some new ones …

img_1691

This is a picture of one of my table mates, she took the same! After our training we were treated to a wonderful dinner of Prime Rib and the most decadent cheesecake I ever had! Yum, Yum.

After dinner they made some announcements and shared information about upcoming events – Our next OnStage and surprised us with an awesome gift …

000_3805_0001

I LOVE THIS BAG … this one is definitely in my top 3 bags ever!! Stampin’ Up! gifts us with some really awesome bags!! You can’t see the tag but it says … “Because SPOILING YOU is so much fun”. I am so grateful to be associated with a company who truly rewards the efforts of their demonstrators! I’ve worked in many different types of employment and have never been treated like I am at Stampin’ Up!  When was the last time your boss sent you on a cruise?

Curious … drop me a line, I’d be happy to share the benefits with you. Take it for a test drive … there is no obligation to stay when you join us, but I’m sure you’ll want to.  When we chat, I can share with you all of the benefits offered to my group … Star’s by Design! Here are just a few that were waiting for them at our table when they arrived …

000_3810

Have you noticed? Magic happens when Stampin’ Up! Staff and demonstrators get together for an event. WHY? Like stamps and ink, cardstock and punches, cellophane bags and treats … some things are just better together.  Will you join us in April 2017?  CLICK HERE (then Join Now) if your ready to join us!

      img_1713  img_1712

When you join our Stampin’ Up! family of Star’s … I’ll give you a call to welcome you, and answer any questions or concerns you many have.  First two to join us, will receive one of the lovely little Note Books I just gave my stars.

Now for that totally cute swap card …

img_1758

I told you it was really cute! Swapping is another part of our Stampin’ Up! events that we love. I really would love to share this opportunity with you.

Thank you so much for hangin’ on till I got my computer working! It is appreciated.

OnStage with Stampin’ Up!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I am back from a fun weekend away with my downline and fellow demonstrators as we attended one of the OnStage events hosted by Stampin’ Up! These events are like mini Conventions.  They host these all over the world and we were lucky enough to have them host one in Madison, WI.

img_1868

Our Saturday event is open to all demonstrators and I spent my Saturday with some of my fun and fabulous downline! It was so great to see these ladies again and catch up. We’re spread all over Wisconsin but still find ways to connect.

From Left to Right ….Becky, Brenda (back) Debi (front), Kathy, Connie & Cheri.  Love those smiles … I am blessed with to have such a great group. I wish all of them could have came.  We all send our prayers to Mary Kate who is currently battling breast cancer.

img_1716

I love to spoil my downline a bit so I made sure we had some sweet treats like Chocolate Stars (Our group name is Star’s by Design) and some Trail mix to nibble on. I also had some cute gifts … I’ll share those with you tomorrow. Not all the decorations were mine, Stampin’ Up! likes to spoil us too, more about that tomorrow as well …

img_1711

We learned about the upcoming Occasions catalog and Sale-a-bration (not to far away!) and got to see some of the new products up close and even play with them!! Just one of the great perks of being a demonstrator! We are not allowed to share this yet, but it won’t belong before we’ll be sharing samples with you.

Until then, I will share two cute cards with you that Debi received when swapping. I wish I had time to make up my own swaps this year, because the Midwest is the greatest place to swap … many talented demonstrators!

img_1761

Nuts for you and Swirly Swiggles were used to create this swap and the second card features the “Spotlighting” technique … Love this card!

img_1762

Thank you for checking back and hanging out until I returned.  I will be back tomorrow with more fun from Madison and our OnStage event.

If you’ve ever wondered what it was like, or what you need to become a demonstrator … shoot me an e-mail (lindaluvs2stamp@aol.com) I’d be happy to answer any of your questions or concerns, and what I provide for my downline members. CLICK HERE for information from Stampin’ Up.

Have an awesome day!

Pretty Little Pumpkins

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I just saw the cutest little pumpkins and thought I would share the following post with you.  They would be so cute for Thanksgiving.  This is from our Stampin’ Up! “Get Inspired” blob and written by Steffi Helmschrott.  You can click on the link and follow the blog yourself if you like.

*Steffi Helmschrott, from Germany, is one of our talented Artisan Design Team members.

For my second “wow” project as a Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team member, I decided to do something seasonal—and thought I’d go with pumpkins! They’re easy to make, are quite versatile, and they can be used for many occasions. Think: fall, Halloween, or all year round if the color matches your décor.

1

Here’s how to make them: Just cut eight identical circles using the Big Shot (item 143263) and one of the circle dies from the Layering Circles Framelits Dies (item 141705).

step-1

Now fold them in half and adhere them together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (item 110755).

step-2

To make it look like a pumpkin, cut the bottom of the circles.

step-3

For the stem, cut a small strip from Kraft Cardstock (item 133674).

step-4

Coil the strip from the wide side, twist it, then push it into the top of the pumpkin.

step-5

Next, make the curly vine. Cut a small strip from Whisper White Cardstock (item 100730) and wrap it around a pen to curl it.

step-6

Now adhere the vine to the stem using Mini Glue Dots (item 103683). Our pumpkin is done!

2

You can, of course, create this pumpkin in different sizes or shapes—such as ovals, for example, using the Layering Ovals Framelits dies (item 141706). You could also make apples; just use small leaves instead of a curly vine.

I hope you liked this little tutorial and that you’ll have fun using it!

Can we get a round of applause for Steffi … I love these and think they are so cute.  I have a lot of the Pumpkin Glimmer Paper left over from Halloween so I’ll be sure to make some of these for my Thanksgiving festivities.

Thanks for stopping by today ~

Hope your day is a good one.

Greetings from the North Pole …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have a cute card to share with you direct from the Stampin’ Up! home offices …
pink-deer-card
Use the Big Shot and Stitched Shapes Framelits to diecut the large square shape out of Whisper White Cardstock. Stamp the greeting in Pool Party ink on the scrap of Soft Sky Cardstock. Trim around the edges.
Stamp the trees in Wild Wasabi ink on the Whisper White square. (Stamp the first tree in the bottom left corner in full strength ink. Then stamp the second tree on the right side of the square without re-inking. Again without re-inking, stamp the third tree in the center.) Stamp the star on top of the final tree in So Saffron ink.
Stamp the reindeer in front of the trees in Chocolate Chip ink. Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen to “draw” snow on the ground and trees; sprinkle with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter; set aside to dry.
Stamp “ho, ho, ho” greetings and snowflake images in Blushing Bride ink on the Blushing Bride cardstock to create background; adhere Blushing Bride Cardstock to the note card base.
pink-deer-card
Wrap the Whisper White Baker’s Twine around the card base; tie a bow at the top.  Adhere the stamped white square to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals; adhere the stamped greeting to the white square with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Embellish with Rhinestones.

Simply Sunday: Designer Paper Highlight

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’m going to share 3 simple cards that will highlight the Designer Series paper that are currently on Sale … Buy 3 / Get one FREE. Monday Oct.31st is the last day to get in on this deal.

b3g1dsp_demoheader_na

Because they all have simple layouts, I will not go into detail on the cards… Let’s get you back to your weekend!

My first card is a “Congratulations” card which highlights two patterns from the “By the Shore” Designer paper.  The greeting comes from the “Guy Greetings” stamp set. The Dapper Denim banner under the greeting is actually a piece of the designer paper!

000_3798

The simply beautiful sympathy card was created with the “Floral Boutique” Designer paper. One simple sheet of designer paper and a greeting goes a long way. It’s quick and can be either cute or elegant, depending on the paper pattern you choose.

000_3796

My last card is bright and colorful and highlights 3 patterns from the “Fruit Stand” Designer paper. I used my Circle Framelits to cut out my greeting and pop it up.  I also cut the cute little flower from the designer paper and popped it up by the greeting. Something so simple really draws the eye to the focal point of the card.

000_3800

I hope you enjoyed today’s card share. If you did … PLEASE click like on the bottom of the blog or feel free to leave a comment. It helps me when creating for you in the future.

Thanks and have a wonderful day ~

Today’s Stampin’ Supply List …

Wishing You a Sweet Season

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Wooo Hooo … the weekend is here! Hope you get time to savor it, and make it last as long as possible.

Enjoying time with friends and family is always sweet, and today I’m sharing with you a cute card created with the Candy Cane Lane product suite. This is one of the cards that my guests made at our Holiday Stampin’ Retreat.

Let’s begin with the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series paper …

000_3787-blog

You will see two different designs from this packet on our card. First the Crumb Cake and Whisper White  design (the reminds me of frosting) on the bottom, and then the two cute little houses! These houses are cut out of one of the designer sheets! (PLUS … it’s part of the Buy 3 / Get one FREE)

I didn’t do it on my sample, but at the retreat, we glittered the snow on the houses … it looked so cute! I added a 2″ Real Red Circle behind the houses to make them stand out a bit more.  The small house was “popped up” using our Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The greeting comes from the same product suite, we used the Candy Cane Christmas stamp set. Love it, Love it, Love it.

Now time for the inside …

000_3788

Grab your Washi Tape … I used it on the front of the card to add another pop of red, and on the inside of the card as well.

I’ll admit it, I was never a big Washi Tape fan but when I saw all the cute designs on the Candy Cane Lane Designer Washi Tape … I bought 2!!  I love it and it goes great on cards, plus you saw us use the Washi Tape on our tags.  So quick, so easy … and no mess!

Not a hard card to make at all, but super cute and oh so sweet! Hope you enjoyed this tasty little morsel.

Stop back tomorrow for my Simply Sunday series of cards, I’ll be sharing some of the Designer papers with you!

Till then, have a sweet Saturday!
