HIP HIP HOORAY!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have a cute card I’d like to share with you! I’ve seen many cards done with this layout so I thought I’d do one for you. Of course … I had to use stars!

000_2398

I’ve seen this style of card done with butterflies and other shapes too.  It’s easy and so much fun. It’s also a good way to use up some of those scrap pieces!

This card can be used for so many different occasions … especially with the “Hip Hip Hooray” greeting! I embossed it using White craft and White Embossing powder – I like how the white on white really stands out.

When I trimmed off the top of my card front, it was too cool to throw away … so I put it in the inside of my card and added a star!

000_2401

Here’s a tip … when you want to put adhesive on something thinner than your adhesive, use the Silicone Craft Sheet! You can run your adhesive over the top without making a sticky mess every where else. It’s a MUST HAVE!!

Thanks for taking the time out of your day to visit my blog!

Have an awesome day ~

Just Because …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

It’s Wednesday and we’re finally on the fast track to the weekend! Here in Salt Lake City many of the demonstrators will be going to the Corporate offices including two of my downline members Brenda & Debi. Getting to see where all the creativity stems is really exciting.

Our Convention officially kicks off tomorrow! Don’t forget to follow me on my facebook page! CLICK HERE

Today I have a pretty little card for you … Just Because!

000_2403

I’m using our “Pretty Petals” Designer Series paper stack. There are so many pretty patterns in this stack and designs you can use on your masculine cards too.  There is never any left overs with a stack of papers this pretty!

138442G

I couldn’t resist adding the delicate lace of the Venetian Crochet Trim … it looks so nice against the floral pattern. My greeting comes from the “Tin of Cards” stamp set. Talk about a set with everything you need …

I wanted to jazz up my greeting platform so I used the combination of Circle and Floral Framelit dies! I just added a bit more to the card than your ordinary greeting stamped on a rectangle (although I do that a lot – lol)

To complete my card… I added a precious flower next to my greeting, created with the flower punch from the “Itty Bitty Accents” punch pack. Then you simply must add a pearl so it matches the pretty flowers on the designer paper.

000_2408

A perfect card to send to a friend … Just Because!

THE BEST THING … In Black & White

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today is our first full day in beautiful Salt Lake City, Utah! We’re here for the Stampin’ Up! Convention and some genealogy! I will be posting all week long but if you would like a glimpse into SLC and Convention, come visit my Linda’s Stampin’ Escape facebook page ... CLICK HERE!

I have a card share with you today done in Black and White. I began with the layout and my Squares Collection Framelits…

000_2393

Then I teamed it up with the Neutrals Designer Series Paper pack and World of Dreams stamp set.

The Whisper White frame was cut 4″ x 5-1/4″ and then the Square framelit was used to cut out and expose the designer paper underneath. The white frame is popped up with the use of Stampin’ Dimensionals!

I then stamped the birds using the Memento Ink and used a smaller square framelit to cut it out.  This was also popped up with dimensionals … giving the card added dimension and a classic clean look.

000_2396

If you want … you could mat your favorite color behind the center square (bird image) and create a focal point with a “pop” of color! Experiment and have some fun.  Even simple layouts can become extraordinary cards!

Thank you for stopping by today ~

Hope your day is a good one!

A Cup of Cheer …

Happy Monday Stampin’ Friends ~

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  I am back today with my Alternative project from the 2015 July Paper Pumpkin kit … and I just love this card!

So …  How many of you guessed which was my favorite?? Yep … the “A Cup of Cheer”.  It’s just so cute, and I know I’ll will be using it a lot!

000_2386

I used all the pre-cut supplies from the kit, then added just one piece of cardstock to mat the designer paper in the kit and pull out the color of my coffee cup! Stampin’ Up! has 4 extra coffee cups in our kit, that were not shown on the original card designs… so I used it!

I sponged the cup in Night of Navy … and if you think you see a bit of a pattern (you’ve got good eyes) because I originally sponged the ink over some lace ribbon to create a pattern, but it looked a little busy with the designer paper. The more solid color looks better.

I used the square punch to create little banners out of the designer pieces of “sticky” cardstock and placed them behind the cup.

So another quick and easy card done … and all from my Paper Pumpkin kit. TRY IT … It’s so much fun to get a box of creativity in your mail box each month. You can stop and start … anytime!

Tomorrow I’m off to the North America Stampin’ Up! Convention …

jet-airliner

If you would like updates and to follow me at Convention … Go to and LIKE my Linda’s Stampin’ Escape Facebook page! This way you can join me at Convention (and Salt Lake City) without having to get on that plane!

I’ll be back tomorrow with the Weekly Deals!

Thanks so much for joining me today …

I hope you have a fabulous Monday!

The Little Moments …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I have a sweet little card that showcases two of our designer series paper packs … The Cherry on Top and the Neutrals Collection. I find working with designer papers fun and easy! Makes card making a breeze!

000_2374

I teamed up the little hearts from the “Cherry on Top” with the words from the “Neutrals Collection” … although the brown colors are slightly different, you can’t really tell.

I used the beautiful Cucumber Crush Lace trim to add a pop of color to my card, and it coordinates with the little hearts. The greeting is also stamped in the Cucumber Crush and comes from the stamp set “Watercolor Wings”.

I cut out my greeting with one of the framelits from the “Chalk Talk” set, and then popped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I love the verse “The Little Moments with You Matter a Lot to Me” … and if you look closely at the card you can see “awesome together” and “love your face” on the designer paper. Nice combo … don’t you think!?

000_2375

Thank you for coming by my blog today.

Hope your day is simply awesome!

Back with some fun …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Sorry I missed you yesterday … Life it seems has run past me and I’m still trying to catch up! lol

But I must say that time spent with my stampin’ friends always makes me smile! I have a few pics to share with you from our Catalog Kick-Off Party.

IMG_20150713_202445

We had a wonderful group of ladies, some cool cards, a raffle of 7 boards of cards that highlighted the stamp sets we used, and a moment of darkness! Yes … darkness. A storm blew through and the lights went out for a second or two, and we were all glad, that’s all it was!

IMG_20150713_202553

IMG_20150713_191904

It’s always fun stamping and meeting new people! Everyone enjoyed our new location … I’m happy because I have booked the hall for 2 more stamping events!! Our “Hostess Appreciation Party” and our “Holiday Catalog Kick-Off” party!

IMG_20150713_202626

Yes … we even get a bit silly! If you look in the background you will see a table full of our new Designer Series Paper! The ladies loved that they could touch and see the entire line of DSP. Most agree, it is even prettier in person!

IMG_20150713_193417

I think everyone enjoyed each others company … as they can move around at their own pace. A nice relaxing evening and plenty of room. I am grateful for the wonderful group of ladies who come and stamp with me!

I also wanted to share a very special blessing …

11733498_836705829717998_1516013153_n

my great-grandson … DJ. Mama and little Dee are both doing fine.

As you can see, my life is full of blessings (even when it tries to run me over) lol

Feeling blessed ~

Hope you are as well. Have a wonderful weekend.

Friendly Wishes …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Just a quick post today … I am having technical difficulties (computers!) but I have two cute projects from the Stampin’ Up! catalog to share with you using the “Friendly Wishes” stamp set.

This is one of the 7 stamp sets that will be featured at tonight’s Kick-Off party. Although we will not be doing the Chalkboard technique as shown below …. this is the perfect set to use it!

Friendly Wishes_1

The cute paper is from “Everyday Chic” Designer Series paper!  Next is a cute project …

Friendly Wishes_2

I’ll be back tomorrow with the Weekly Deals and hopefully some of the fun from the kick-off party!

Have a wonderful day!

Simply Sunday: You’re the Friend

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I have another Simply Sunday card share for you. I chose the Friendly Wishes stamp set and paired it with the beautiful English Garden Designer Series Paper. The outcome was a beautiful card that you would be happy to share with a friend …. a friend everyone wishes they had!

000_2371

I used our new “Lot’s of Labels” framelits. It frames the verse beautifully and is matted with Early Espresso. I used Blushing Bride and the flower from the Itty Bitty Accents punch … notice how the four petal flower coordinates with the flowers on the designer paper!

I’m introducing the new Metal Rimmed Pearls on this card, I thought that it was the perfect choice for the top. The “friend” was colored in with the writing tip of the marker (not the brush tip). I stamped the greeting in Early Espresso, and if you used the brush tip, you could smear the two colors.

000_2370

To finish off my card I popped up the greeting and added a scrap piece of the designer paper inside. There really isn’t any scrap … is there!

Thank you for sharing a part of your day with me.

I hope you have a wonderful day … spend it with a friend 🙂

Lego Lovers …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Friday is finally here and I hope that you have a wonderful weekend planned. I will be busy cutting for my upcoming Catalog Kick-Off party. I don’t mind doing this at all … and I get to spend time with my sister Eileen. It’s a great time for us to talk about all our upcoming events.

Remember today is the last day to RSVP (lindaluvs2stamp@aol.com) to the Kick-Off party.

Today’s project is so cute!! I found it on the blog So Shelli (Click to view). It is her personal blog so you will read a lot about her family, the mission she is currently on, and of course … Stampin’ Up!

Here is a the “Lego” box she made for her grandson …

Ashton_bday_legobox_3

Cute … right! I’ll tackle this project after my Kick-Off party … till then, I’ll have plenty more to share with you.

Snowflakes in July ….

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Hope your day is going well. Yesterday I posted some of my favorite items from the Clearance Rack … one of them was the Snowflake Card Thinlit Die. We all love those “flip” cards, so today I’m going to show you one that we made at last years Holiday retreat…

 000_2364

We used Smoky Slate as our core color and then added the designer paper.  We slip the end of the cardstock over the top of the end piece on the die so it would not cut it off.  It does however leave you a nice score line so you can fold it in.

000_2365

We even stamped on the inside, so you wouldn’t get bored when you open it up. lol

Simple to make … I’m sure your friends will flip over a card made with this fun framelit.
