A Halloween Walk in the Woods

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today’s card share is a bit spooky … follow me through a walk in the woods on a dark, dark night. BOO!

I love Halloween and it’s just around the corner, but there is still time to create some awesome cards and projects.

Today’s “BOO” card begins with the “Motley Monsters” Designer Series Paper using the wooded background with scary little eye’s staring back at you! These designer papers are so much fun and easy to create with!

000_1555

This card only called for a greeting which I borrowed from the September Paper Pumpkin Kit. If your not signed up … you have till the 10th of this month, Friday, to begin this months kit!  Check it our HERE.

I embossed my greeting and added some little friends (spooky eyes) and then colored them with the Daffodil Delight Blendabilities.

As always, I let the designer paper guide me to my color pallet … Basic Black and Hello Honey! And … don’t forget to add some spooky eyes to the inside of your card & envelopes!

000_1552

Oh yes, those little eyes come from the “Freaky Friends” stamp set which I will be sharing more of.

Have a wonderful day … and stay out of the woods at night! LOL

Time for Weekly Deals!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

CM1634B

It’s time for the weekly deals and today I’m going to list my favorites, CLICK HERE to view all the products on sale this week.

I’m going to start with one of my all time favorite products … the Silver Glimmer Paper.

With Christmas just around the corner this stunning, no-mess way to add glitter accents is perfect for your card making. The glitter won’t brush off this cover-weight paper!

Here are a couple of my Christmas Cards using the Silver Glimmer paper …

000_1433 000_1470

HOT STAMPIN’ TIP: When cutting with framelits, place your framelits on the un-glittered side … Because it is cover weight (a bit heavier than cardstock) and has a protective layer, cutting from the back side works beautifully.

The next product I would like to showcase is the “This and That Journal” … what a perfect gift for a your kids or grandkids, then invite them over to embellish the cover (if you haven’t done it for them).  Journals are an age-old gift and are very popular now.  It’s a gift that keeps on giving through out the year!

Again, these are just two of the items I love, there’s more framelits and punches and ribbon – Oh my!

CHECK IT OUT HERE

I have put the links for the key ingredients for my cards below.

Thank you for stopping by and enjoy your day ~

Simply Sunday: Christmas

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

I hope this Sunday finds you and your family well. Today I would like share with you a quick yet beautiful card, along with a paper-savings tip!

I will begin with the “Trim the Tree” Designer Series Paper Stack and the Cherry Cobbler 1″ Sheer Linen Ribbon.  My intent was to create a card that looked as magnificent as a present under the tree!

000_1542

The Trim the Tree DSP is 4-1/2″ x 6-1/2″ and will have to be trimmed down.  Put your paper into the cutter horizontally (longest length) to 5-1/4″ and trim.

000_1547

Now turn 90º – align paper to 4″ mark and trim.

000_1548

Here is what you have … save your extra pieces as you will be using them!

000_1549

As you can see, the skinny piece goes on the inside of your card, and the wide piece fits nicely on your envelope.  You will need to trim off just a small piece!  No scraps! HINT: Be sure to get it on securely as it needs to run the the post office machinery.

000_1545

The greeting is from our Hostess special … YOU can earn it FREE by hosting a stampin’ party or placing a qualifying order of $300… gather your friends, it’s that easy.  Contact me for more information.

I hope you found this post as fun as a present under your tree!  Enjoy your paper savings!  To purchase any of these items just click on the links posted below.

Thank you for coming to my blog and have a great day!

I added a bit of color to my greeting with the Daffodil Delight and Tangerine Tango markers.

For a touch of dimension, I tagged the card with the Pumpkin Pie and Crushed Curry Chevron Ribbon.

Guest Stamper: Vicki T.

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I would like to share a card from our Star’s Group gathering.  Our theme for our card swap was Christmas and this is Vicki’s card …

000_1529

It is made with the beautiful Wondrous Wreath stamp set from the Holiday Catalog.  The beauty of this set is that you can layer the colors and Vicki has demonstrated that so well.

It also coordinates with the Wonderful Wreath Framelit Dies … and when you bundle the two, you can save 15%, which can be used for more of your Christmas shopping!

Vicki also shared a valuable tip with us … there are tabs on the stamps themselves and are there to aid you in lining up your layers properly! Genius!

000_1535

You will definitely be seeing more from this stamp set! Thanks Vicki for the beautiful card.

Have a wonderful day ~

Into the Pumpkin Patch ….

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Happy Sunday to you.  Today I’d like to share the last of my Motley Monsters trio … three cards from one sheet of the designer paper.  Believe me, I have enough to make another 3 cards, if not more!

The beautiful leaves on yesterdays card were flipped over to the pumpkin side today … How fun would it be to walk through the pumpkin fields as cute as these.  My cat & bat are the leftovers from the Motley Monster line up on Friday’s card.

000_1520

That’s what I call great left overs … all I did was stamp the “Trick or Treat” greeting from the Good Greetings stamp set. Don’t forget you can get this stamp set for free with a qualifying order or hosting a stampin’ party.

000_1523

I added a strip of Crushed Curry for a pop of color and then wrapped it with burlap strings that I pulled off of the burlap ribbon.  I love that it’s crimped and adds a natural look and great texture to the card.

Another quick and easy card using the fun Motley Monsters Designer Series Paper. I’ll be back to share more Halloween and Autumn cards.

000_1521

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Simply Saturday: Grateful

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Yesterday I shared a card using the “Motley Monsters” Designer Series paper and said that I would be sharing more. So today I have used the a piece of the leftovers from yesterday to create a fall card … a card of Gratitude.

My base colors are Tangerine Tango and Crushed Curry which comes from the designer paper, and then I turned the designer paper (yes … this is from Motley Monsters) and turned it so the leaves appear to be falling to the bottom.

000_1512

I used the new “Merry Everything” stamp set and the coordinating “Note Tag” punch, then topped it off with the “Tangelo Twist” ribbon.  You can save 15% if you bundle the two on your purchase.

I tipped the greeting so it also appeared to by gently falling with the leaves.  Don’t you just love autumn!?

The greeting was of course “popped” up with our Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Dimensionals. The inside was completed with a piece of Whisper White for your note, and a touch of the designer paper at the bottom.

000_1513

Such a sweet and simple card that can be created in just minutes!

Thank you so much for stopping by Linda’s Stampin’ Escape today … I am truly grateful.

Have a wonderful day ~

blog-closing-small

Oh yes … I was going to tell you which of the “Motley Monsters” on yesterdays card was my favorite … It’s that cute little skeleton!  Here’s a list of ingredients for today’s card.

Trick or Treat …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

It’s FRIDAY!!! And it’s been a while since I did a “Fast -n- Furious” Friday so I thought I would bring it back today.  I have a cute and easy card for Halloween… your ghouls & goblins will love it.

We will begin with the “Motley Monsters” Designer Series paper. It is so fun to use, in fact … for the next 2 days I will share with you 2 more cards that are not only made with the Motley Monsters, but with the same sheet of paper!

Over the next few weeks I will be doing a Halloween showcase … so stay tuned!

000_1505

For this card I simply cut this piece of paper down to 5-1/8″ x 3-7/8″ … I then matted it with Bermuda Bay and mounted it onto my Basic Black Base.  That easy!

The greeting is for our hosting promotion stamp set, Good Greetings.  You can get this stamp set for FREE by hosting a home stampin’ party, a book show, or by placing your own order … $300 in sales is all you need.  This is above and beyond your regular hostess dollars!  Sweet!!

000_1508

The greeting is highlighted by the Word Window and Modern Label punches.  I used the smallest of the pearls and dyed them black with a Sharpe® … I like the way it anchors the greeting.  I used the Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop it up and create more texture.

Don’t you just love these Motley Monsters? Can YOU guess which one of these little guys is my favorite? Put your response in the comment box … I’ll let you know tomorrow which one it is.

000_1509

Thank you for coming to my blog today …

Hope you have a sweet one!
