Memorial Day honors the men and women who died while serving in the United States military…a somber but important day each year. Today’s card is created with Painted Poppies.
The reason poppies are used to remember those who have given their lives in battle is because they are the flowers which grew on the battlefields after World War One ended. This is described in the famous World War One poem In Flanders Fields. Today, it remains an iconic symbol of honor for the sacrifice of our veterans.

I’m doing a twist on my Simply Sunday today … a simple card to start and then I will gradually add some elements to lift the card to another level. Let’s begin with a little “fun” …. What do you get when you cross the Tidings of Christmas with the Expressions in Ink? A totally non-traditional Christmas card … in “PINK”!!
I began with the stunning Expressions in Ink Designer Series Paper in the new Polished Pink that is beautifully entwined with gold foils, so naturally I would use a Gold Foil mat and a Polished Pink card base.
I stamped the greeting in VersaMark and heat embossed it with the Gold Embossing Powder. My greeting comes from the Tidings & Trimmings Stamp Set. We could leave this card simply as is but, check this out ….
Before I attached the Gold Foil card base, I die cut some of those pretty little starts from the Tidings & Trimmings bundle!! This ads such and elegant touch to our beautiful Expressions in Ink Designer paper.
We went from a simply beautiful non-traditional “PINK” Christmas card to one that is simply stunning! Don’t forget to use the leftover pieces of designer paper to deck out the inside of your card.

Let the weekend officially begin … How did you enjoy the Tidings of Christmas card that I shared yesterday? Yes? Well … I have another for card for you using this suite and where I’m going to showcase the dies from the suite; the stockings and some greenery …
I love the way this card turned out!! I chose this pattern designer paper from the suite and worked my color pallet from that … Sahara Sand, Misty Moonlight and Soft Succulent. The base is Misty Moonlight, then the background designer paper, the center piece is Sahara Sand.
I stamped the greeting in Misty Moonlight on the Sahara Sand. Then I stamped the stockings in the Misty Moonlight on Misty Moonlight then die cut them The white tops were cut using the top of the stocking die as there is “no” separate die for that.
The greenery was die cut from Soft Succulent cardstock and adds such a beautiful touch to the card. The stamp set and dies can be purchased as a bundle, as well as the entire suite ….
The stamped stockings have the same patterns in their design as in the Tidings of Christmas Designer Series paper…. and so do the dies, and that is why they call it a suite. All the products were created to coordinate perfectly!
I couldn’t resist added the new 2020-2022 In Color Square Gems … they are Misty Moonlight!! Plus they add a nice finishing touch to the card. You can find these cute gems on page 142.

Today … with a chill in the air, I thought it was the perfect time to share a card that I created using the wonderful Tidings of Christmas. I know many of you start your Christmas cardmaking early, so I thought I’d give you a peek into what I’ve been creating with this suite …. the suite includes …
I start out on the “simple” side and will have so much more to share with you! Here is one of the cards I created ….
I used the pretty Tidings of Christmas Designer Series paper as my backdrop … the pretty papers remind me of Christmas’ past but have an elegant modern touch to them.
I teamed up my Tidings of Christmas with the “Elegant Tag” Punch. This amazing punch is fun and easy to work with, and you can create an multitude of options!! Here is just one …
I lengthened the punched paper to fit my greeting … you simple punch from the backside. Maybe I’ll create a short video to show you how, along with a tip to make it effortlessly!
Behind the punched greeting which of course is from our Tidings & Trimmings Bundle I added a touch of Cherry Cobbler cardstock and the beautiful Evening Evergreen Chevron Weave Ribbon.
I used the Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels just to add a little around the greeting You can find these cute gems on page 142. It also seems to anchor the tag and highlight the beautiful ribbon.

Today I’d like to share more about Expressions in Ink … you saw a sweet -n- simple card that I made yesterday.
EXPRESSIONS IN INK SUITE
The Expressions in Ink suite is so gorgeous that it has a well-deserved place on the front cover of the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. This suite combines the abstract beauty, fluid design, and bold colors of alcohol inks and watercolor, without any of the mess! The gold embellishments and accents add the perfect touch of elegance to this artistically inspired suite.
The card tutorial below features heat embossing, paper-piecing, and layer upon layer of texture and detail. It’s a great way to combine the watercolor images with the coordinating, but not matching, detailed die cuts. Just imagine all the colors you could re-create this project in for occasions like birthdays, weddings, and anniversaries.

EXPRESSIONS IN INK SUITE – Thanks Card

Today I have a card that I created using the amazing “Expressions In Ink” Designer Series Paper. Many of the papers have ribbons of gold foiling running through the beautiful jewel tone colors like Evening Evergreen, Jade, Magenta Madness, and Pale Papaya….
During my LIVE demonstrations this weekend, I showed my attendee’s how simple it was to cut these designer papers to maximize it’s beauty and have NO waste! Here is one of the cards I created ….
The beautiful water color design add such a natural look … as if I created it myself! Luckily it was done for me and I had no mess to deal with!!
I teamed up my Expressions in Ink Designer Paper with the “Creating with Friends” stamp set. This stamp set is fun and easy to work with, and you can create an multitude of options …
Don’t you just love all of the different options for greeting you can create with this stamp set? I kept it simple by just saying … “You’re Amazing” and I stamped it in the Polished Pink and Pale Papaya ink.
Using the Medium Daisy Punch, I added the flower, however, as Kathie D. commented during the demonstration … it was pretty even before we added the daisy!! The center was punched from a piece of scrap out of the same paper.
I used the Pale Papaya faceted glitter gems from the Genial Gems that were introduced in our new Annual Catalog to add some texture and a pop of glitz around the greeting You can find these cute gems on page 142.

I hope you had a wonderful weekend, mine was full of fun and stamping. The Launch party may be over but I think I’ll be carrying over some of the fun games and stuff on my Linda’s Stampin’ Escape Facebook page … I don’t want the fun to end!!
Today, I’d like to share another card created with the Hand-Penned Memories and More card pack, but unlike yesterday I will not be using the Card & Envelopes but a card base from my cardstock stash. My card base is the New Pale Papaya ….
I added a strip of Basic White embossed with the Greenery Embossing Folder, this gives our card some nice texture. Upon the white accent I added one of the smaller cards which has such a pretty floral pattern …
The greeting also comes from our Memories & More Card Kit … it is a die cut adhesive with the greeting already printed on it. Let’s talk about making pretty cards … pretty quick!!
I couldn’t resist adding some In-Color Rhinestones (unfortunately they are not orderable at this time) but if you have patience … you will fall in love with these new colors.

You will find beautiful “cards” that can be slipped into the pockets of your Memory Book along with 4 sheets of die cut stickers that embellish your scrapbook or cards so sweetly … I love the soft pastel colors, and the coordinate with the Hand-Penned suite so the possibilities for creating are endless.
I chose one of the larger cards that works great with the cards & envelopes, and then I simply trimmed away the outside to highlight the shape, greeting and flower! All that was already there!! I just trimmed and popped it onto the card front …
The card front is the pre-pattern polka-dots card and is already scored for you… and check out the coordinating envelope! The only other thing I did on this card was give my flowers a touch of the Wink of Stella …
When using these two products combined, you have so many options for creating pretty yet simple cards.

First let me say thank you for waiting while I could discover what the “technical difficulties” were creating my laptop to shut down … all it was, was a loose battery!! Who knew?? But I’m back and I have a “Dazzling” and Fun technique to share with you today.
Let’s begin with my Technique Tuesday Facebook LIVE Video, and then I will follow up with a dazzling card that highlights a fun twist to the “Glitter Designer Paper” technique!
Now that you know all you need is Designer paper, the Adhesive Sheets and Glitter … you can create your own Designer Glitter paper too. Now … let me show you a little twist that is also simple but creates a dramatic effect.
I’ll take you step by step through the process. You begin just as you do in the video with the adhesive sheets, then I cut the the sheets in thirds. One side cut at 1-1/4″ … then turn 180 degrees and cut the other side 1-1/4″ … that leaves you with a center piece of 1-1/2″ … then you will mat the center piece …
When you preparing to adhere your strips to the card base … make sure your designer paper images align, it makes the card even prettier! I attach the bottom piece and the top piece first, waiting to place then center piece on last …
I tied a bow on first and then used our Liquid Glue on the back to attach to the first two pieces … because your mat is slightly larger than the center piece, it will lay nicely over the first two pieces and still the images will align … isn’t that cool?!!
Can you see how the images align even though you have cut it!! This also adds more texture and depth to your card. My little greeting comes from “Many Messages” Bundle which is still available through June at a 10% savings … it is in the new catalog but it’s not bundled so you would no longer receive the bundled savings.

For the past couple days I have been sharing some of the new designer papers in our just released annual catalog, however, I want to let you know that one of my favorites is still in the Mini Catalog and soon to retire … the True Love Designer paper.
Today I’m sharing some of my favorite cards created with this paper. The descriptions of my cards will be below them …
My first choice is a good representation of the True Love Designer Series Paper pack as it highlights so many of the different patterns … all in black and white so you can add a pop of color behind it, or add that pop of color directly to your designer paper. You’ll see samples of that below. You can view the video with instructions for the card above by CLICKING HERE!
On this card you see two patterns; the floral in which I colored with my Stampin’ Blends and the accent piece which really helps highlight not only our flowers but our greeting. A simple layout which can add so much to a card … don’t you think?
Here is another technique I used to color the True Love Designer paper; the Ombre Technique which I created with the Blending Brushes … I have a video to show how it’s done CLICK HERE!
LOVE this coloring technique … using the Stampin’ Blends to color the “background”!! You can create any look you want when you are in control of the coloring! Who knew that just a subtle bit of color would make our flowers pop off the page … and a little Wink of Stella never hurts!
The True Love designer paper also makes the perfect back drop when you are highlighting a fun technique, like we did here. CLICK HERE TO VIEW I have fallen in love with the paper and sad that it did not carry over into the new catalog.

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~ I trust you are having a wonderful weekend. Today I’d like to add a splash of color with the stunning Expressions In Ink Designer Series Paper. This gorgeous paper is in tune with Simple Stamping but you are going to look like an artist!
You will recognize this paper as it adorns the front of our New 2021-22 Annual Catalog. I chose the floral pattern in Magenta Madness and also used that color as my cardbase. The paper is simply cut 6″ x 4″ and then trim it down to 5-1/4″ … this will fit the front of your card, leaving a nice border of Magenta Madness around it. You will use the 3/4″ piece that you cut off on the inside of your card … it fits nicely on the 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White.
With the beautiful gold throughout this design, I felt using gold embossing powder for my greeting was perfect. I’m using the New Create with Friends stamp set and I embossed it on a 1-1/2″ strip of Vellum Cardstock. Making this card was super simple and yet looks so elegant. To complete the look, I used the Gilded Gems … the largest ones because they “hide” the small Stampin’ Dimensionals!!

Happy Friday!! I have two cards to share with you today featuring the “Pattern Party” Designer Series paper from our Hostess Collection and the fun and fabulous “Creating with Friends” stamp set! Well … I think it’s fun and fabulous!!

I used my “split” technique for my cards today ~ super simple and a paper saver. Here is my video to show you how this technique works …
I love this technique, it is quick and simple yet can really make your card fun, plus it’s saves your designer paper because you are using 4″ x 4″ squares of paper … so no waste!!
My next card is using the same technique, with the same paper pack, just a different design. It comes with 48 sheets of designer paper, 4 each of 12 double-sided designer papers, so … 24 different patterns!!

So fun and so colorful, yet with 24 different patterns in this paper pack you’ll also find subtle designs, great textures and fun patterns! When it comes to the Create with Friends stamp set, you will find the same creative variety and ways to express your feelings … I simply had to have it! I love my greeting / sentiment sets!
