Paper Pumpkin: Birthday Bundle

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

A blog share from the Stampin’ Up! “Get Inspired” blog …

Having a Paper Pumpkin subscription is like giving yourself a birthday surprise every month—and this month the surprise even has a birthday theme!

Have you seen it yet? If not, stop what you’re doing and watch this video:

Now, the only question is, are you ready to party? This kit is packed with fun and enough supplies to make six cards, four bags, and four tags! The color scheme and style make it a perfect gift for anyone ages 1-100, man or woman, dog or cat, friend or yourself!

It’s like the party you wish would never end! Here are some additional ideas:

  1. Use the supplies from the kit to create your own projects like our artist did with this card. See that cute yellow fringe? It’s made with the tissue paper—brilliant!KitCompnentsOnly-1
  2. Don’t forget to use your stamps. We added a balloon stamp so you can use it long after the die-cut balloons run out. Every celebration needs a little confetti, and this shaker card delivers!OthersuProductOnly_58
  3. In case you use those die-cut balloons on another project, here’s another take on the bag. Stamp and emboss on Watercolor Paper and then use your Aqua Painter for a more elegant look. Add a little bling with some gold sequins and a pompom and you’ve got a gift anyone will love. (And might we say, you’ve got a gift for creativity too!)OthersuProductOnly_73

There are so many things you can do with this kit that you’re definitely going to need some refills. As a special perk, our subscribers can order them here, while supplies last.

For those of you in my Stampin’ clubs … the catalogs are in, give me a call and we’ll set up a time for you to get yours!  All club members will receive their copy for FREE. Those of you who have purchased during the past few months with a qualifying order … you will receive yours by mail!!

Now … on to the card!

000_2275

Let me begin by introducing you to the new “Hostess” stamp set … “Happy Birthday Everyone”.  The font is gender neutral and “any” age appropriate… how perfect!  It also contains: to an amazing women … to a good friend … to you … love … and to my darling. It comes in wood or clear mount.

I stamped the greeting in Island Indigo and Delightful Dijon (one of the new in-colors) to coordinate with the new Bohemian Designer Series paper.  I had a hard time picking out what pattern I wanted to use, so many great ones to choose from.

000_2273

A little layering of cardstock and your card is complete. I think the rich hue of the Island Indigo works so well with the warm Delightful Dijon. We are going to have a blast with the new colors this year!

Thanks for dropping by today …I hope you enjoyed today’s sneak peek.

Have a warm & wonderful day ~

Birthday Bash Card Parade Day 2!

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I will share with you the rest of the card that I created using the “Birthday Bash” Designer Series paper. The paper is still on sale until Monday … click here to view!

I will start you off with my “hello” card. This is a great way to use up any scraps that you have around. The greeting comes from the “Hello You” thinlet dies. You can easily attach your die cut with our “Liquid Glue” … the small tip makes it easy to apply.

000_2260

The pretty little flower was created with a combination of the “Pansy” and “Boho Blossom” punches. The center is actually the designer paper with the polka dot …then topped off with a rhinestone.

My second card is a simple but sweet “Make a Wish” card.  This comes from the “Perfect Pennants” stamp set. The simple layering makes a statement and highlights the greeting.

000_2257

Sometimes in life you just have to “Do what makes you happy”! That I have found is hard for most women, because we are caretakers by nature … we usually put ourselves last. So … I challenge you to go do something that makes you happy … and let me know, I’d love to hear what you’re up to!

000_2261

I used the same layout and greeting for these cards … just different paper, but both from the “Birthday Bash” designer paper. The stamp set is the “Hello Life” and the pretty little heart comes with it. The flower on the Navy card comes from the “Flower Shop” stamp set.

I hope you enjoyed the card parade that I have shared with you. I enjoyed your company … Thank you!

As we enter the Holiday weekend, I would like to take this moment that give “THANKS” to our Veterans who gave all to keep us free.

Have a safe and happy holiday weekend ~

Parade of Cards: Birthday Bash Designer Paper …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

As promised, I’m here today to share some fun cards created with the “Birthday Bash” designer series paper.  I couldn’t fit them all on one post, so I will share 3 with you today and 3 more tomorrow!!

I’m so excited to show you how fun and versatile this Birthday Bash DSP really is….

Let’s start out with a birthday card with party hats! Party hats? Really … Sure! You’re never too old to party! This cute stamp comes from one of our Hostess stamp sets “Let You’re Hair Down”.

000_2246

I have to show you the inside too because the verse inside is too cute …

000_2245

My second card is is a banner card, and the greeting comes from the stamp set “Big News”.  How appropriate is that considering you just got a sneak peek at a totally fun new product that will be introduced in the new catalog!  Let me just say this one item “punched” out all three sizes of the banners!

000_2247

Here’s a peek inside …

000_2249

My last card for today showcases each side of the same piece of designer paper … I love the two sided paper! The greeting is from the stamp set “Million and One”. I just adore this font, and so sad this set will be retiring in only a few more days!

000_2251

The current catalog sales period ends on June 2nd … so as much as we are sad to say goodbye to some of our favorites, you are going to be just as excited to see the new catalog!!

000_2252

Thank you for joining me for today’s parade of cards, and remember … I will have 3 more for you tomorrow using the Birthday Bash Designer paper.

Have yourself and fabulous day!

Today’s Stampin’ Supply List …

Birthday Bash …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Quick post today sharing two of my favorite cards that I had made using the Birthday Bash Designer Series paper that is currently on the Weekly Deals list!

The first card has a fun colorful pattern and is teamed up with the the Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry and the “Chalkboard Paper” that is also included in the Weekly Deals.

The Chalkboard paper really is the focal point and it highlights our greeting which comes from the “Big Day” stamp set.

000_1830

The next card showcased a technique that I did with the Blendabilities, so if you have them or sharpies … you can do this technique. On this card I used the confetti design which has “gold” in it. So much prettier in person!

000_2003

I teamed this technique up with a past technique my club members learned … the Blackboard Technique!

We used the “Balloon Bash” stamp set on our  Chalkboard paper that can be found in the Weekly Deals.

Using designer paper on a card is a very cost effective way to jazz up your card and I used the “Birthday Bash Designer Specialty Paper” for this card. I love the confetti and glitz on this pattern.

Hope you enjoyed the cards, I thank you for stopping by.

Stop back again tomorrow as I will showcase “all” the patterns from the Birthday Bash Designer paper! It will be a celebration of color!!

Have an awesome day ~

Spring Retreat Masculine Swap Share …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

I know that I told you I would be sharing cards from “Walk in the Wild” and I will … but last night one of my club members asked to see some swap cards from the second retreat, so today I’m going to post two.

Both cards are made with the “Four Feathers” stamp set.  Don’t worry, just because they are not in the catalog, does not mean they are gone.  You can find them in the “Returning Favorites” section of my website. Just click on the link and you can see what else is available.

This first card was created by Tanya D.  I love the color pallet … very masculine! The background was created with the “Arrows” embossing folder.

000_2208

The cute greeting comes from the “Just Sayin'” stamp set and was teamed up with the “Word Bubbles” framelit dies.  Don’t you just love framelits!!  No more fussy cutting!

Our second card was created by Meg L. Same stamp set … different look.

000_2215

Meg used the “Chevron” impressions embossing folder and tied it all up with the “Coastal Cabana” Thick Bakers Twine.

Both cards are awesome … but not the winner! I’ll be posting that one later.

Thanks so much for checking out our swap cards. I have a list of the core items used for these two cards below.  Just click on the link for product details.

I will be back this weekend with the “Walk in the Wild” cards for you.

Have a wonderful weekend!

STAMPIN’ SUPPLY LIST …

Simply Sunday … Birthday Flowers

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

I would like to wish all the MOM’s out there a very Happy Mother’s Day!  I hope you enjoy your special day.

I also want to say “Thank You” to all who took advantage of the Paper Pumpkin promotion …  You will receive an e-mail from me within the week with your password to my “Paper Pumpkin Pals” link.  There you will find even more ideas for your Paper Pumpkin kits. (This is now available to all my subscribers)

Today I want to share a simple card that can be recreated over and over again … just switch out the stamp set or the designer paper, and you have a new card!

000_2198

I stamped with the beautiful hostess set: Bloom with Hope with the StazOn ink pad. I kept it very simple by only coloring the center of the flower.  Sometimes less is more.

I used the Hello Honey and Mossy Meadow ink pads and blender pen to do the coloring … sometimes we get so caught up in new techniques that it’s nice to revisit old ones. They are tried and true!

000_2199

Both the birthday greeting and the verse on the inside of the card come from the Bloom with Hope stamp set. I layered and popped up the greeting to create some interesting dimension to the card, then tied it all up in a pretty little Mossy Meadow ribbon.

So simple … yet so pretty. Remember you can totally change the look of the card by changing out designer papers!

000_2198

Again, Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mom’s out there … and I hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday.

Thank you for stopping by ~

Throw Back Thursday … Stampin’ Style!

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I’d like to share with you cards I’ve created with the fabulous “Timeless Talk” stamp set. This stamp set is on the retirement list … you know I’ll be sad to see it go, it was my favorite stamp set when it was introduced.

126607S

Some inventions are timeless no matter how many generations go by and how much technology changes. They may not be iPods or cell phones, but these clear mount images are too cool not to love Set Quantity: 7. “Timeless Talk” first appeared in 2014-2015 Annual Catalog.

So come with me through a walk back in time and enjoy the following cards…

Not sure I’ll be able to sell this set … not for a while anyway, it’s too easy to create awesome cards that work well for men or women! If you’d like to purchase this set before it retires … CLICK HERE.

Thanks so much for joining me and reminiscing over this fun and fabulous stamp set.

Reminiscing … A Walk in the Wild

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

With the retirement lists out, I’d like to reminisce on one of those stamp sets you love … A Walk in the Wild. This was a great stamp set for masculine cards… and I’m going to miss this one!

My first card is the pheasant … I did this birthday card in November of 2013. Simple color pallet and the use of ribbon for banners make this card very appealing to the guys.

000_0389

My second card is the moose … he is so stately! I created this one back in August of 2013.

I teamed this image up with some designer paper and the burlap ribbon. The burlap gives the card some great texture, yet does not take away from the moose image at all.

000_0111

Both cards used a simple layout … but with different backgrounds and accessories, they look well put together. While making cards for guys, you never want to “over” embellish.

Hope you enjoyed this little flashback, and if you don’t have this stamp set … you may want to add it onto your wish list.

Thank you for dropping by my blog today!

Have an awesome one ~

Guest Stamper: Linda K.

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I’d like to share with you another card from our Spring (April) Stampin’ Retreat card swap … Our guest stamper today is Linda K.

Open Sea -2

Linda used the very versatile “The Open Sea” stamp set and showcased the stamps beautifully. I love the simple neutral color pallet … works great for guys!

Linda used the Basic Gray for her background, and Basic Black to mat each stamped image.

Just look at the detail Linda has put into her card … the paper piercing around the globe really adds a nice touch to the card.

Open Sea -1

A great birthday card, and could easily be used for Fathers Day as well. In fact, you could use it as a graduation card … reflecting on the direction (compass) of their dreams, and conquering the world.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today. I hope you are as inspired by Linda’s card as I was.

Have a wonderful weekend ~

TODAY’S STAMPIN’ SUPPLIES …

Flamingo Lingo Showcase …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I’d like to showcase a retiring stamp set “Flamingo Lingo”. This is a stamp set close to my heart, it is the Ronald McDonald House Chariest stamp set.

134306G

You’ll be tickled pink with the Flamingo Lingo Clear stamp set and the variety of cards you can make with this darling flamingo. And you’ll love that with each set purchased, Stampin’ Up! will donate $3 to RMHC. Together we can make a difference in the lives of children and their families.

Speaking of pink …

000_1399

Here is the first of 3 cards that I will showcase today using the Flamingo Lingo stamp set.  This card was stamped by my friend and downline member Cindy. It was a swap card from one of our Star’s Team meeting. Who does not love pink & black, and she created a focal point with the Oval Collection Framelits.

Next is a card I created …

000_1343

Oh yes … tickled pink again! I framed out our flamingo using the Square Collection Framelit die. The Coastal Cabana really pops with the black and Strawberry Slush (both retiring colors). I do believe that the scallop edge punch is also on the retired list.

Last but not least, is a card that we made at one of my Stamp Camps …

000_2166

This card was done in Calypso Coral and Crisp Cantaloupe … with just a touch of Pistachio Pudding. The 2013-15 In-colors will also retire (and the refills go FAST!!) which include the Cantaloupe and Pistachio!

As you can see … you really can make a variety of card using the Flamingo Lingo stamp set. There is still time to purchase this fabulous set … Click Here to shop now.

I hope you enjoyed … I have a list of ingredients for your convenience below. I will not repeat items (like the Petite Petals punch) for each card, ingredients will only be listed once.

Thanks so much for stopping by ~

Simply Sunday … Spring Cards

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I’d like to share a touch of “spring” with you. I have two cards that I created using the Sheer Perfection Vellum… I’m so sad this will be gone in a couple of days! I teamed up the Vellum with the “Crazy About You” stamp set and the coordinating “Flower Medallion Punch” on both cards.

000_2106

My first card fits well with my “Simply Sunday’s” theme ….

000_2110

Simple flowers with a touch of Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie from the Brights Collection of Markers. The vellum is placed over our Whisper White with a Basic Gray mat … popped up on a Daffodil Delight card base. Add a simple ribbon and your card is complete.

000_2112

Inside I added a bit more of the vellum and created a greeting from the “Crazy about You” stamp set. The stamp set is great for creating your own sayings because it has so much to choose from.

137137G

My second card has a few more steps but still easy to recreate. I again began with the vellum and colored it in with an Old Olive marker … also from the Brights Collection. Because it takes a bit to dry, I dipped it in clear embossing powder and heat embossed it. This gave it some added texture and really made the green pop!

 000_2113

The vellum was mounted on Old Olive and then matted on the Basic Gray, and secured to the Old Olive card base. I used the Oval Collection Framelits for the greeting and topped off the flower with a rhinestone.

000_2114

I finished off the inside with a couple of left over strips of cardstock and stamped the flower in the corner.  There are more great patterns in the vellum, and if you need to put in an order, do it before the Sale-a-bration period ends on Tuesday … don’t miss out.

As for my Stampin’ Tip … I wanted to show you a neat way I was shown to store my Photopolymer sets.

I took the clear sheet with the images on & slide it into my stamp case … make sure that the words are “backwards”, then you can place your photopolymer stamps directly onto the case. They stick just fine.

      000_2107       000_2108

With this set I needed to use both sides of the case, so I slide in a piece of plain white computer paper to block the writing that is on the sleeve.  You could do this to both sides if you like the brighter image on the left.

Thanks for taking time out of your day to visit my blog.

Have a wonderful day ~

Spring is Coming ….

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I’m going to share a card with you that will warm you like spring! The warm color combination of Rose Red and Daffodil Delight bring this card to life. The magical background was created using a technique call “Bokeh” ….

000_2102

This is one of the cards I created for a Make & Take project at my March Star’s by Design Team meeting … My technique club participants will be thrilled to know that they will be learning this technique in our April meetings! They however will have two totally different designs, along with a technique sheet!

I will share the details of the technique with you in April, after my technique clubs are held. It’s really not that far away.

I used the “Petal Potpourri” stamps set with the coordinating “Flower Medallion Punch”. You can bundle these two items and save 15% … love that!  Also featured on the card is the “And Many More” stamp set … a must have in your collection. We just can’t have enough greeting sets, can we?

I hope you enjoyed this touch of spring, and have a wonderful day.
