Guest Stamper: Marge G

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have a treat for you, a guest stamper who shared one of her card creations with me … Marge G.

Marge used one of my favorite bundles in the Annual Catalog – the Eastern Beauty Bundle. I fell in love with this set when Stampin’ Up! offered this bundle as a “pre-order” for demonstrators and customers!

I’ve actually hosted several classes using this bundle and featured it at my 2017 Spring Stampin’ Retreat … each card was different  and we learned the many uses of the dies … Amazing!!

Thank you for checking out my blog today, I hope your day is good one.

2017 December Alternative Paper Pumpkin Project

Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have a cute card that I created with the December 2017 Paper Pumpkin kit … now don’t run away just because you are not a current subscriber, there is always something to take away from the projects I share with you.

I began with the pre-cut note card, however, I wanted to create a full card to see what it would look like … I also knew I had a score line that I wanted to cover so I headed to my ribbon stash and grabbed the Lemon-Lime! I thought that would look pretty with my cardstock.

As you can see, I kept the idea from Stampin’ Up! for the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper behind the pre-cut cardstock but did not add the other piece (I’ll show you what I came up with that tomorrow).

Then I simply embossed one of the many greetings included in the December kit and added the butter (stamped in Lemon-Lime) to balance out my card.

Now … take this idea of a die cut image, using one of your many beautiful framelits dies, add your glimmer paper to the background and you have an awesome card! Easy layout … simple to make, and beautiful!!

Or how about ….

There is always an idea from any of the projects I share … that is my intent anyway.

I love the Paper Pumpkin kits because they are pre-cut and ready to put together, with a little stamping! But you can go beyond what they have made for us.

Hope you enjoyed today’s card share, and I hope to see you back tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping in …

Have a wonderful day!

A Few of My Favorite Things …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Christmas is almost here and our Holiday Catalog is full of wonderful stamp sets, however I cannot forget the Annual Catalog and the beautiful holiday stamp sets that are still available …

Here are a few of my favorite stamp sets in the Annual Catalog …

The most beautiful stamp set … greetings and dies that I could not pass up last year! So glad the “Star of Light” carried over into the annual catalog.

Another stamp set and die that I just had to add to my collection was “Santa’s Sleigh” … who doesn’t want this jolly ‘ol soul in upon their roof!

Another great stamp set is “Holly Berry Happiness” … I’m a big fan of Holly !and you’ll see it all over my home! It’s just Christmas to me, and the greetings and messages include in the set are perfect …

And if you are one who loves tradition then I’m sure you’ll love “Hang Your Stocking” as much as I do. These cute little stockings work well on tags and on cards … or both as you see below!

I have one more to share with you … “Father Christmas”. It just wouldn’t be Christmas without Santa Claus. This set will work great with all the coloring techniques available … the new Stampin’ Blends or Watercolor Pencils are my top favorites!

Hope you enjoyed this flashback to the Annual Catalog! Our seasonal catalogs are awesome and I love to combine them with the great sets in our annual catalog as well.

Have a great start to your week ~

Sneak Peek #2 … Beautiful Day

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Hope your week is going well … we only have one more day until the weekend, so I think today is a good day for a Beautiful Day!

I’d like to introduce you to the Beautiful Day stamp set and the NEW Brusho Crystal Colour! I wish the camera had the ability to capture what our eyes see because the color of this card is much more stunning in person!

We embossed the butterfly from the Beautiful Day stamp set in black on Watercolor paper. Then we used the Aqua Painter to wet the watercolor paper inside the butterfly …

Next (after poking a small hole in the cover) we tapped some of the yellow Brusho color crystals into the center of the butterfly. The water mixed with the powder creates a beautiful flow of color. Then we tapped green Brusho around the outer edges, we could blend the color with the Aqua Painter. Don’t worry … I will be holding classes on this spectacular new product!

OK … if that wasn’t pretty enough, I added Wink of Stella to add a touch of sparkle to my card, and it looked great with the Glitter Enamel Dots found in the Annual Catalog! I love how it all coordinates 🙂

I hope you enjoyed today’s card … I can’t wait to gather with you and show you in person how amazing and fun this new coloring medium is!

Thank you for stopping by.

Have a beautiful day ~

Two for Tuesday: Something Old … Something New

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have two cards for you! One from the Holiday Catalog (something old …really?) and something new … a sneak peek into the 2018 Occasions Catalog.

Both cards feature the same layout and the same designer paper … Bundle of Love Specialty paper. I chose this paper because it was fun (shining polka dots) and a neutral base.

I had some holiday fun with my first card … I started with the Jar of Love stamp set (very familiar to some of you) and teamed it up with the Good Tidings stamp set from the Holiday Catalog.

I added the touch of holly to the jar and filled the jar with the same stamp the added the berries to my holly.  But my jar is filled with Sour Cherry Balls! lol  The greeting also comes from the Good Tiding stamp set.

My next card comes from the pages of the new 2018 Occasions Catalog! Your catalogs are on their way … and when you get it, turn to page 17 and you will see the “A Good Day” stamp set, the Mini Embroidery Hoops and the coordinating Scallop Circle punch!

These items are going to be a fun suite to play with. The two different size hoops coordinate with the two new Scallop punches … and the stamp set has many different greetings for you to use.

Take a look at the cute little Epoxy Shapes (some with glitter) These were colored with the Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends then the Old Olive to create the Lemon/Lime color. Oh yes … and that pretty little bow, well you can find that in the Annual Catalog!

Hope you enjoyed this delightful duo of cards and the sneak peek! I cannot wait until you get your Occasions catalog. It should be here before Christmas!

Have a wonderful day, and thank you for stopping by!

A Christmas Bridge Card …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

As promised … I’m back to share the “Bridge Card” that my Stamp Club members made this month!

I picked 2 of my favorite bundles to create this amazing card, the Brightly Lit Christmas, Carols of Christmas and added the Detailed Gate as my bridge!

My color pallet consists of Whisper White, Soft Sky, Basis Black, Garden Green and a pop of Real Red.

We used the little spots stamp from Brightly Lit Christmas to create snow on our Soft Sky background. The trees are from the Cardfront Builder Thinlets Dies from the Carols of Christmas Bundle (same with the deer).

Since the gate is not wide enough to reach the ends of the card … We used the lamp posts to anchor the card and hid the seam of the gate.

I’m pretty proud of this card … and I love the look of the gate as my bridge. Simple to create and it folds down to slide right into your envelope!

Thanks for stopping back today, enjoy your Friday …

Have a great weekend!

Two for Tuesday: Carols of Christmas

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Happy Tuesday to you! Today I have double the “Carols of Christmas” from the Merry Little Christmas Product Suite, one of which is the winner from our 2017 Holiday Stampin’ Retreat.

Let’s start with the card that I cased from Dawn Olchefske (a fellow demonstrator who does beautiful cards). I was drawn to Dawn’s card right away by the beautiful simplicity of the card …

The “Merry Little Christmas” Designer Series paper is the backdrop to this card. The focal point is created by cutting the trees from the “Card Front Builder” Thinlits Dies out of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper … the deer in black to coordinate with the rest of the card.

Next, I’d like to share with you the Winner of our Attendee Swap at our Holiday Retreat this year … Guest Stamper: Cindy P.

Our retreat attendee’s vote for the swap cards they like best and the winner receives a Gift Certificate from me to do a little extra Christmas Shopping from the catalog.

Cindy used the “Carols of Christmas” bundle from our Holiday Catalog … stunning! I love the Night of Navy tree’s behind the Silver Glimmer trees, it appears as a shadow and really makes the silver pop!

If you can’t get enough of the Merry Little Christmas product suite which includes the Carols of Christmas bundle … head on over to my website to see more samples! CLICK HERE TO VIEW

Thank you for stopping by today, hope your day is double the fun!
