Christmas Card Parade …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I want to share a few of the Christmas cards that I have received from friends and family. You will see that some of the stamp sets used are retired, but I figured many of you have those stamp sets so you would yet another card idea!

Enjoy ….

000_1821

Cindy used the “Ornamental Pine” stamp set found in the Holiday catalog.

000_1822

Many of you will recognize this ornament that Nancy used, it also had framelits to match.

000_1823

This Christmas card was from my Mom. I believe our friend Sandy H. helped her with this card.

000_1824

Barb used the “Pinwheel” technique for her card. The greeting comes from the Christmas Bliss Photopolymer stamp set.

000_1825

Jenny created this card using the Bright & Beautiful stamp set, Star Framelits, and Lucky Stars folder.

000_1826

This card was done by my sister Rita … Embossed in gold.

000_1827

Sandy H. made her card using the “Circle Card Framelit” die

000_1828

Our last card was made by a husband & wife team: Kathie and Roger!

I want to thank all of you who have sent me cards, they are all so pretty, and they have warmed my heart.

Hopefully I will have more time to share additional Christmas cards. Thanks for stopping by.

Have a wonderful Sunday ~

Birthday Greetings: Sale-a-Bration Sneak Peek!

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Wooo Hooo … the weekend is here! I will need it to finish up my Christmas shopping. Hope you are already done and just putting on those finishing touches so you have some time to relax.

Yesterday I told you that I would be sharing another sample from the December Paper Pumpkin kit, and I teamed it up with a Sale-a-bration stamp set!

In the kit we got several sheets with die cut stars to punch out and use in our shaker card, so I cut mine apart and …

000_1814

used the strip of stars as the focal point on my card. I picked the Pistachio Pudding strip and accented it with the Smokey Slate cardstock. I added the Pistachio Pudding Thick Bakers Twine for some added dimension and texture.

000_1816

The “Happy Birthday” greeting comes from the upcoming Sale-a-Bration stamp set: Big Day.

Sale-a-Bration is right around the corner, and it’s a great way to get FREE stamp sets and accessories!  I’m so excited with this year’s SAB catalog, it’s filled with fantastic products!

Sale-a-Bration begins January 6th and runs through March 31st. Let me know if you need a catalog! I’d be happy to help you earn some free goodies!

000_1820

Again, a simple but sweet card. Our lives are so busy, this just makes things easier, and it really creates additional cards from your Paper Pumpkin kit.

We’re Shakin’ Up December …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

I am really excited to share with you what I created using my December Paper Pumpkin! First I’d like you to watch the video on how to put together the cards in the kit ….

I think the videos are fun to watch, and they inspire me. However I already had my cards created before I watched this months video. I love shaker cards … Who doesn’t?

First I will show you my card from the kit, just a twist from the Stampin’ Up! instructions, and one more way you can put your cards together ….

000_1809

For those of you who know me, you know I’m just like you and don’t want to see anything to to waste! Well, here is what the “greeting” sheet looks like …

000_1805

and what do you think I thought of … that’s right, “Make a card out of that!” So I cut off the piece that I had taken my “hello” from, measured it and cut a piece of the “Dazzling Diamonds” Shimmer paper. I just used it a couple of days ago so I still had it out on my stampin’ table.

000_1812

I love that the greetings are on adhesive sheets so I would not loose the little pieces from the h – e – l … well you get my drift! lol  So it was easy to transfer this onto the glimmer paper and add those little pieces to complete the word. I popped up the greeting with our Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Since I used the “Lucky Star’s” embossing folder for some texture on the base – Bermuda Bay cardstock, I punched out some additional stars with the “Confetti Stars Punch”. I attached them with “Crystal Effects” and a tooth pick!

This card was so simple to make, and I think it’s adorable!

Wintertime Calm …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Hope you had a wonderful weekend! Since I took Saturday off from blogging, I figured I would share a special post with you today. I am going to show you a progression of cards, from simple to a touch of glitz.

I started ever so simple with the “All is Calm” Specialty Designer Paper and the “Wintertime” stamp set. I haven’t used it yet, but have been dying to get my hands on it and stamp!

000_1782

My core colors that I used are Pool Party and Island Indigo … even though those are not listed on the designer paper pack, the Pool Party went well with the pattern I chose.

I simply inked up the stamp with the Island Indigo and stamped directly onto the designer paper… assemble and you have a cute and quick card! Simple can still be pretty.

Now … If you’re one of us who like some sparkle to your cards, my next sample illustrates what a few rhinestones can do for your card. Oh my that’s pretty!

000_1786

If you’d like to step it up a bit more and highlight the greeting, simply stamp another image onto the Whisper White cardstock … cut it out … and mat it with a little piece of Island Indigo.

000_1789

Wow… that really adds dimension and gives your card a new look.

If you still don’t have enough sparkle … then instead of the Pool Party mat behind the designer paper, you could use our beautiful (and new) Dazzling Diamonds Shimmer paper.

000_1793

Look at how that makes the entire card pop! So whether you like a more simple and subtle card or full out bling … you can see how easy you can transform your cards.

So head off into your stamp room and have some fun! Feel free to share your projects with me (lindaluvs2stamp@aol.com) I’d love to share your project with our stampin’ friends on Linda’s Stampin’ Escape blog… with your permission of course!

Thank you for stopping by my blog.

Have yourself a wonderful day ~

STAMPIN’ SUPPLY LIST …

Guest Stampers: Star’s Christmas Party!

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Hope you are doing well. I’m great … took the day off yesterday to spend it with my downline to celebrate the Holiday’s, stamp, eat, share ideas and relish the new catalogs!

One of the perks of being a demonstrator is being able to order the new products out of the “Occasions” and “Sale-a-bration” catalogs. I always make sure to order right away so we can look, touch, and play with the new items at the Christmas party.

Today I am going to share two of the cards from the party …. you’ll have to tune in during the week to see more.

First we’ll start with Barb’s card. Oh it just warms you up like a nice spring day … are you ready for spring yet?

000_1776

Barb used the “Everything Eleanor” stamp set for the focal point of her card. The colors are Pistachio Pudding and Wisteria Wonder … how pretty. The greeting comes from the “A Dozen Thoughts” stamp set and was highlighted by using the Large Oval and Scallop Oval punches.

Next we have Kathy’s card … a sweet card for baby!

000_1779

Kathy used the “Something for Baby” and coordinated it with the “Baby’s First” framelits. You can save 15% if you bundle the two of these! She also used “Label Love” for the greeting on the card.

This fun card used several punches to highlight the focal points of the card, and topped off with the heart border punch.

I will have a list of ingredients below for both cards.

Thank you for stopping by today … Have a great one!

Coming Soon! A New Catalog, New Brochure & a Sneak Peek!

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

I am so excited that the new Occasions (or Spring) catalog and our Sale-a-bration catalogs will soon be in your mailbox!

If that’s not exciting enough … how about a sneak peek?!

000_1760

OK … that’s just a sneak peek at some of our new designer papers & more, today I also have a special card that I created from the new products in the upcoming Occasions catalog!

Coming Soon! A New Catalog and Brochure

We have important dates for you to remember:

  • Sale-A-Bration will be January 6  – March 31 , 2015 (Reserve your date now… I’m taking bookings)
  • The occasions  catalog   will launch on January 6 , 2015
  • My customers … Expect your complimentary copies of both the occasions  catalog  and the Sale-A-Bration brochure as soon as Stampin’ Up! releases them. Watch for them in your mailbox!

Qualifying customers also know as “my stampin’ friends” are members of my clubs, attend stamp camps, retreats, and/ or shop from my on-line store.

If you would like to become one of my stampin’ friends and you do not have a demonstrator, please e-mail me … lindaluvs2stamp@aol.com

If you have a demonstrator, please ask him/her to provide you with catalogs.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Today’s card really shouts “HELLO SPRING” from the designer paper, to the framelits, right down to the greeting … hello! Grab a pencil and paper because you are going to want to write the names down!

000_1764

Let me begin with the Designer paper …. “Best Year Ever”. I believe it will be too! I love this pattern, so much so that my Technique Clubs will be learning this technique in an upcoming date.

I used the Coastal Cabana cardstock for my base, butterfly and greeting. The greeting comes from a totally fun framelit called “Hello You”. Many of the items in the Occasions catalog coordinate, in fact they have been designed to work with your Sale-a-bration products too!!

000_1762

This beautiful butterfly comes from the “Butterfly” framelits collection … it has a smaller solid butterfly and a large butterfly that is stunning. I sponged the edges of my butterfly just to add a bit more dimension.

What a simple card to create! A little glue to hold the greeting and some added pearls bring our butterfly to life.

I would “LOVE” to hear what you think of these 3 new products, and don’t forget to watch your mailboxes … your catalogs are coming!

Have a beautiful day ~

Holiday cards for Addie …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Last night at my Wednesday night club meeting we were talking about Addie, a 6 year old who shared her wishes for what will probably be her last Christmas.

I am sharing a post from the Stampin’ Up! Inspired by blog, it will explain everything …

The only thing six-year-old Addie Fausett has on her last Christmas list is cards—preferably the handmade kind.

Addie Fausett, 6, of Fountain Green, Utah
Photo credit: Tami Fausett via TODAY.com

Addie, who has a condition called diffuse atrophy, and her family were told by doctors that this Christmas would probably be her last. So when we saw the article on TODAY.com describing this family’s wish for their little girl’s last Christmas, we thought, who better to make this gift happen than amazing Stampin’ Up! demonstrators and their customers?

If you would like to participate and support this family during a difficult time, please take a few minutes to tell all of your cardmaking friends, and then send handmade cards to:

Snuggles and Smooches …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I want to share with you our newest “Photopolymer stamp set… Snuggles and Smooches”. It may seem like it is just for Valentine’s Day, but I think it could be used any time of the year when you want to share some affection with those you love.

Photo 1 - Snuggles and Smooches

Two of my favorite images in the set are the swirls. I’m sure you’ve noticed how trendy it is to wind up some Linen Thread or Baker’s Twine and use it as an element on cards and other projects. You can see on this card how the large swirl image helps accomplish a similar feel.

Photo 2 - Oodles of Valentine

The swirls also create interesting background patterns that can be used with a technique like emboss resist—as shown on this adorable little card.

Photo 3 - My Silly Valentine

Or simply stamp—as I did on this tag. The “Love” sentiment works great for creating a chalkboard effect.

Photo 4 - Love Tag

There are three heart images in this stamp set. They were drawn to coordinate with  three of our heart punches: the Sweetheart Punch, the Hearts Border Punch, and the heart from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. The “Love” sentiment will also coordinate with either of the Tag Topper punches.

I can’t wait to see what you create with this stamp set—whether it’s a valentine for someone you love, notes of encouragement, memory keeping, or treat packaging.

(From our Concept Artist: Melody H.)

Was I right? Super cute projects today! This stamp set is already available – Click here to view!

Snuggles and Smooches Photopolymer Stamp Set

Snuggles And Smooches Photopolymer Stamp Set 140326

This fun set will surely bring a smile to many faces and is a great way to let others know you love them. Recommended for use with clear-mount blocks A, D, E, and G. Blocks not included with set.

Hope you enjoyed today’s post …

and I hope you have the best day ever!!

Big Brothers / Big Sisters Organization Stamp Camp

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Yesterday afternoon I had the pleasure of working with the Big Brothers / Big Sisters Organization. The local Volunteer Center donated the facility for us … it was a wonderful collaboration by all so the “Big Sisters” and their “littles” could spend an afternoon together stamping.

000_1753

The theme for the stamp camp was Christmas… the season of giving. The projects everyone made reflected a “giving theme” and I elaborated that the beauty of stamping is much like Christmas … a gathering of friends.

Our first project we did was the “Santa Card” … so easy but so stinkin’ cute!

000_1757

We used the Real Red cardstock as our base and Basic Black for the belt. The buckle was created with the Silver Foil paper and the Curvy Label punch.

We used the beautiful new “Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper” for the fur on the jacket, and finished it off with the “Happy Holidays” greeting I borrowed from my November Paper Pumpkin Kit.

Our next project was the Christmas Treat Tree Box … this comes from the October Paper Pumpkin Kit. The adhesive is already on the cardstock … all we did was punch out the tree and add a window sheet … Ta Da!

000_1755

I should have put candy in it for you … it really is cute, and who wouldn’t want a cute treat box filled with candy!

Our last project was the sweet little treat box … remember, our theme was “the season of giving”.

000_1754

Create a belly band with any designer paper, the one shown here is retired. My poinsettia flower was created using the “Petite Petals” punch. It takes a bit of layering to get it to look this full but our group did an awesome job!

The front tag was created using the “Cheerful Tags” stamp set … just wanted to add a greeting to our gift box.  These “Tiny Treat Boxes” can be found in the Holiday catalog.

I hope you enjoyed viewing our Stamp Camp projects … I had a wonderful time with the Big Sisters and their littles. I also want to Thank the Volunteer Center for letting us all gather together for the afternoon in their facility.

Wishing you all a fabulous day today ~

Share Christmas joy and your best wishes for the new year with cards you make yourself. Some cardstock, a little bit of ink, and this stamp set are all you need.Set Quantity: 4

OK … this is one of my favorites, and I miss this set so much. I have four beautiful Christmas card samples to share with you today.

I used the Triple Time Technique for this card, using the Silver Foil paper … quite striking, don’t you think?

000_0282

On my second poinsettia card sample, I embossed Vellum cardstock and cut them out to create a beautiful focal point on my card.

000_0420

On the third sample I used Washi Tape between the lines from the embossing folder. I stamped the flower in Cherry Cobbler and then lightly sponged the edges after cutting it out.

000_0085

On my last sample from the Joyful Christmas stamp set, I used the “Reverse Spotlighting” technique. The Cherry Cobbler really pops against the Silver Shimmer Paper.

000_0074

Here was another one of my favorite stamping item to have in my stamp room …
