Gratitude for Days …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I’d like to share some cute projects created by one of our concept artists, Jen.

There are some darling kits in the new holiday catalog. Today we are highlighting the Gratitude for Days Simply Created Kit. I love the bright colors and patterns. The coordinating stamp set also has some great images for any card or project.

Here are Jen’s creations playing with this cute kit.

1. Add a little pocket and note to a treat or gift. I love being able to tuck a little message inside the pocket. And there are 30 of these cute clips in the kit that are perfect for attaching the pocket to your gift.

Gratitude For Days_crbQuick thanks tag

2. Create a little birthday “card” that holds both a message and a gift card. Use the number stickers to represent your recipient’s age. Stamp on the lined pocket card and add a sweet birthday wish. This is super-quick and easy.

Gratitude For Days_crbGift Card Pocket

3. Use it with Project Life. This kit coordinates beautifully with the Happiness Is Project Life Card Collection. If you cut down the pockets from the Gratitude for Days kit, they become 3″ x 4″ specialty cards—which you can then add as an interactive element to your Project Life layout. Insert the lined card in the pocket with journaling, or use it to store ticket stubs/memorabilia.

The coordinating stamp set is also great for memory keeping. It helps prompt journaling about things you’re grateful for.

I had a lot of fun playing with this kit. There are so many fun ways to use it!

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful weekend,

Holiday Trees …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

As promised, I am going to show you what I did with the leftover Designer paper from yesterday’s card.

Again I kept it simple and my color pallet was taken from the “Trim the Tree” designer paper; Garden Green and Pistachio Pudding … with a pop of Silver Glimmer Paper.

I used the new “On Point” embossing folder to texture the Pistachio and the Perfect Polka Dots folder on my tree.

000_1433

The tree was punched from the new “Tree Punch” that coordinates with the “Festival of Trees” stamp set.  It was then framed using the Ovals Collection Framelits and Silver Glimmer Paper.

I use the Fast Fuse to attach my framed tree to the Glimmer paper … it holds beautifully.  If you don’t have it yet, then I suggest glue dots or dimensionals, both will work nicely.

I finished off my card with a cute little silver bow, using the 1/8″ Silver ribbon.  So … are you wondering what I did with the tree I punched out?  Check it out … I’ve posted after the list of ingredients.

Time for a “Man Card” …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

We are always looking for masculine card ideas, even at Christmas time … well look no further!  I have the answer to your “I need a manly Christmas Card”  search.

I wanted to keep it simple so I chose the monochromatic color scheme of Early Espresso and Whisper White with just a pop of Pistachio Pudding.

Today I’m using the “Trim the Tree” Designer Series Paper Stack to create my “manly” Christmas card.    This paper stack has so many delightful patterns you will be able to make a ton of great cards with it. I picked the “trees” and teamed it with the Woodgrain embossing folder.

000_1430

Instead of a bow, I used the Thick Bakers Twine and simply tied a knot into it.  It’s great for guy cards and added a nice touch of dimension.

The greeting “peace & joy” is from the exclusive “Good Greetings” hostess set.  Remember you can get this free when you have a qualifying stampin’ party, book show, or order.  Contact me for details.

Guest Stamper … Cindy S.

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Happy September! Today I have a fun card to share with you, created by one of my Star’s group members … Cindy S.  I believe this may be the last of our swap cards, but not to worry … we meet monthly!

Cindy used our exclusive RMHC stamp set, Flamingo Lingo.  I was not much of a Flamingo person before, but I am totally falling in love with this stamp set.  Besides … for each stamp set we sell – $3.00 is donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

            134306G                 38462c7375ca777e506fb182285a0f54

Click directly onto the Ronald McDonald House to learn more about this amazing charity.  See the houses that host families so that they may be close to their seriously ill or injured children.

Cindy used the Melon Mambo and Basic Black markers to bring her Flamingo to life, and created a focal point by using the Ovals Collection Framelit dies. The background is the Decorative Dots embossing folder.

000_1399

The pretty flowers that draw your eye from the focal point to the greeting can be found in the Flamingo Lingo stamp set, and coordinate with the Petite Petals punch.

Cindy used the “And Many More” stamp set for her greeting and used the fun combination of the Word Window and Modern Label punch… they look great together!

I think Cindy did a great job and I thank her for sharing.

Thank you for dropping by today.

Hope you are having a safe and Happy Holiday weekend,

Festival of Trees …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

So sorry I missed you yesterday … I was not on holiday, but was having technical difficulties, but I’m back and as promised I have the “Good Greetings” and “Festival of Trees” card to share.  Actually, two cards today!

A sweet and simple card for Saturday (now Sunday) that will brighten anyone’s holiday spirit.  I picked  Cherry Cobbler and Almost Artichoke for my color pallet.

The tree I used, one of five in the set is fun to use when you pop that second color in with the coordinating dots!  They even have garland included in this set.  If only decorating our trees at home where this easy!

000_1424

My background was embossed with the “On Point” embossing folder that is also in the Holiday catalog.  You know … you could use it for a cute Birthday card – just have them pointing as if they were arrows!  Or for those of us from Wisconsin, turn it upside down … Ice cycles falling from our roof!  LOL

My greeting of course is the “Good Greetings” stamp set… Free with a qualifying party of order.  I used the square punch to create the banner ends and then curled them up for a more dramatic look.  A pretty little bow created with the bakers twine completes our first card.

contact me hostess special

I used the same color pallet and stamp sets as I did for the first card.  I love showing how versatile the stamp sets are, and how different cards can look when just changing up a background.

On this card, I stamped the background with the “Good Greetings” stamp set instead of using the embossing folders.  I think this is a fun, creative way to use your greetings!

I created my focal point on this card with the use of the Oval Framelit dies, it really shows off our floral tree so beautifully.  The trees on both cards were popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I love that extra dimension on a card.

000_1428

This card was completed by tying a simple bow with the Cherry Cobbler seam binding… it adds a bit more elegance to the card, where the bakers twine fit better on our first card.  Each type of ribbon has a purpose, and I’m so glad we have a wonderful variety to choose from.

Hope you enjoyed today’s showcase of the Good Greetings and Festival of Trees stamp sets.  The Festival of Trees can also be purchased in a bundle, with a coordinating punch!  I love coordinating punches… and Bundles!  Who doesn’t love to save 15%!

Thank you for stopping back …

I hope you have a wonderful day.

Let’s get ready to party!  The only way to earn this exclusive stamp set is to host a party or place a qualifying order; the Good Greetings Stamp Set will not be offered for purchase and only lasts until October 31!

I am teaming up the “Fall Fest” stamp set from the Holiday catalog with the “Good Greetings” stamp set.  I shared a Fall Fest card with you as a sneak peek, but the catalog went live yesterday.  Click HERE to see that card share.

I used the “masking” technique to create the moon and cloud effect, using Daffodil Delight, Elegant Eggplant and Night of Navy.

000_1418

The pumpkins were stamped with the Pumpkin Pie and topped off with the Old Olive marker.  The faces were done in StazOn.  I also sponged Pumpkin Pie on the pumpkins so the lines weren’t so obviously white.

My greeting was highlighted with the use of the Word Bubble Framelit dies… It’s a great stamp set!  I’d love to help you earn it 🙂

Stop back tomorrow, I will share a card featuring the “Good Greetings” stamp set and “Festival of Tree’s” stamp set from the Holiday catalog .

Thanks so much for visiting me…

Have an awesome day ~

As promised, another swap card from our demonstrator gathering.  This card is from Kathy C… one of my Star’s!

Kathy used the Traveler stamp set.  My clubs used this last year and will love to have another sample.  How beautiful is this card!

Kathy began with the World Map background stamp … and used the new Blendabilities Markers and some sponging on this card. I love how it really defines the map.

000_1398

The ship from the Traveler stamp set was stamped on Whisper White and then cut out with the Window Frames Collection Framelit and then matted with the same.  It really creates a nice focal point to her card.

To my Stampin’ Friends … I Heart You

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I am sharing with you a little peek into my Appreciation Party and a new card I designed to say “Thank You”!  Make sure you go all the way to the end … I don’t want you to miss a thing!

Let me start with one of the cards my Hostesses stamped.  We had a stamp camp after the dinner, but my hostesses were treated to two additional cards … my way of saying “Thanks” for stampin’ with me this past year.

The card was inspired by a fellow demonstrators card … the talent pool within our demonstrator circle is endless and very inspiring!

000_1402

Because I will be sharing several samples with you … I will be listing the ingredients after each project, this will make it easier for you to pick out the items you want on your wish list.

The stamp set used is of course, a hostess set … I Like You, found on page 237.  The greeting comes from the Photopolymer stamp set; Endless Birthday Wishes.  My favorite thing about this stamp set is that you can create your own phrases!  Such as … have a lovely day!

000_1405

I used different Designer Series Paper for the belly bands, but this one comes from the Park Lane packet.  The flowers were fun to make and topped off the box so nicely.

The door prizes contained samples of our newest embellishments from the annual catalog.  One of the goodies enclose was a yard of each of the 5 “Thick Bakers Twine” … which will bring me to my next sample!

I wanted to share a card that showcased at least one of the door prize goodies, and this is what I thought of …  All of the 5 thick bakers twine are present with hearts streaming down.  I want my stampin’ friends to know exactly what they mean to me, and how much I really do appreciate their loyalty and friendship.  I really do “HEART YOU”.

000_1406

Hope you got a little taste of the fun that we had at the Appreciation party.  You can be there next year … I’m taking bookings right now for fall and Christmas stampin’ parties!

“Hello” to another Sneak Peak!

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I am sharing with you Eileen’s swap card from our Star’s group meeting on Friday.  It’s a sneak peek as this set is not available until Thursday!

Eileen used the “Four Feathers” Bundle (W-137629 / C – 137630) you can purchase the stamp set or framelits separately but a 15% savings sounds good to me!

Love the colors on this card… reminds me of a warm fall day!  Eileen used Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze.  She used the “Arrows” textured folder to create the background.

Eileen Swap

I love how Eileen used the Scalloped Tag Topper punch with the “Four Feathers” bundle to create the focal point of the card.  She topped off the tag with the Gold Metallic Bakers Twine.

Also highlighted on the tag is the new “Color me Autumn” Washi Tape … coming in the Holiday catalog.

Eileen used the “Gorgeous Grunge” stamp set to add a bit more color to the Crushed Curry feather … I think it turned out spectacular!

Eileen Swap-close up

It’s amazing that adding that little bit of color makes the feather really “pop”.

I appreciate the visit today.  I’m sure you’ve enjoyed Eileen’s card as much as I have.

Lovin’ what I do …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Man … I love being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator!   If you read the blog yesterday you know I just met with my downline  (people I have recruited into my stampin’ family) and that I will be sharing those swaps with you.

Yesterday I spent the day finishing and packing up the Make & Takes for the Hostess / Customer Appreciation Party … Oh, I can’t wait for my stampers to arrive!  I’m so excited … we are going to have a blast!  I’ll post 🙂  It is amazing the lives you touch when you are in this business.

So today … I’m going to share the Make & Take I presented to the Star’s group…  A Masking Technique and a some stampin’ tips!

With summer coming to an end and fall right around the corner I wanted to share not only a new stamp set, but a something to really highlight it.

000_1386

Lets begin with the masking, I used two post it notes together (if you don’t have the longer ones) … make sure the “sticky” edges are to the inside where you will be sponging.

I began with Daffodil Delight and started 1/3 of the way down the area to be sponged, this way the darker area is where you begin and you work your way up so the top is lighter.  You can always add more color but you can’t take it back off.

The Pumpkin Pie – start 2/3 of the way down so as you move up, it’s lighter and will blend beautifully with the Daffodil.  The Blackberry bliss will start at the bottom and again, work your way up.  STAMPIN’ TIP: I do this technique of sponging in a circular motion because that helps blend it nicely too.

The stamp set is the “HOLIDAY HOME” (135095) from the Holiday Catalog.  It is a photopolymer set so yo won’t have to worry about those smaller images falling off the blocks … they stick so nicely and being clear, it’s a breeze to align!

000_1387

We stamped the tallest of the 3 houses in this set (there is also fun stuff for Christmas… very versatile) then we colored the house in to create a silhouette!  Don’t you just love it!  We left the windows alone so the color from our sponging would come through.

I just have to let you know that this stamp set has coordinating framelits (135857) and you can purchase it as a bundle (137631) too!  Catalog orders can begin AUG.28th in !!  Please let me know if you did not get your catalog.

000_1386

Thanks so much for the visit … be sure to check back daily as I will be posting more of the Star’s gathering swaps and pics and samples from my Appreciation Party!

Here is a quick reminder of our current promotions … just click on anyone of them to get more details.  Thank you.

Celebrate You …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today’s card share comes from Vicki … the demonstrator who recruited me into the fabulous journey called Stampin’ Up!

Last night I held my team meeting and invited Vicki (my upline) and Jenny (my sideline) … we had many laughs, great swaps, and did a fun masking technique.  We even talked business! lol   I love gathering with my fellow demonstrators… aka / Stampin’ Sisters!

Vicki’s sweet and simple card begins with a White on White base, with the background being embossed with the beautiful new Lovely Lace embossing folder.  It’s fun and works perfect with her three little flowers!

000_1384

Vicki created those cute flowers with the Petite Petals punch (colors: Garden Green, Rose Red & Island Indigo) the little white flowers come from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack… then topped off with a little bling!    The greeting is from Endless Birthday Wishes!

Love the card … Thank you Vicki!  I will also be sharing the others swap cards, and the card that I did with everyone.

While I’m talking about Stampin’ Sisters … Stampin’ Up! has a promotion for new demonstrators!  Sign up before August 28th and receive an additional $51 in FREE goodies!!  Plus, your kit is shipped FREE… another 10% savings!

6a00e54f95df92883401b7c6d00655970b-500wi

It’s a great deal, and no obligation to remain active … give it a try.  You always have me to coach you!

Thanks for stopping by today!
