Simply Sunday: Simply FaBOOlous!

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today is the last of my Halloween shares (unless I come up with something brilliant that I just have to share with you!). I think you will think that it’s just as FaBOOlous as I do!

All you need to create this FaBOOlous card is the Happy Haunting Designer paper, Black Glimmer Paper, the Six Sayings (Hostess) stamp set and the Scallop Tag Topper punch!

000_2696

Ok … most people would tell me that I put the designer paper side ways, but I love that the ghosts appear to be coming out from the greeting and that they are flying any which way! This is mounted onto my Black Glimmer paper and then my Tangelo Twist base.

The greeting is stamped on Very Vanilla and then punched with the Scallop Tag Topper punch. I trimmed the sides to frame my greeting. My Tangelo Twist was cut a 1/4″ larger so it would create a perfect mat. I added just a touch of glimmer paper behind the greeting to tie it all together!

A strip of the 3/8″ Black Stitched Satin Ribbon woven into the label and adhered behind, completes the card.  Simple * Easy * Fun!

000_2694

If you want the “faboolous” Six Sayings stamp set … NOW is the time to gather your friends either at your home for a stampin’ party, a book party, or do it on-line through a hostess code because for a limited time, Stampin’ Up! is offering …

15% Off Stamps

Starting October 19, stamps will be discounted 15 percent off retail. This sale will only be around for a few days before it ends on October 23, so don’t miss out! It’s a great time to help your friends get the stamp sets on their wish list, or to order anything you’ve been keeping your eye on too.

TRICK or TREAT!

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

As Halloween grows near and my week long Halloween showcase is almost at the end … I have a treat to share with you! I have been feelin’ the love this week and was surprised by a couple of treats myself!

First, a beautiful bouquet of flowers from my friend Nancy. Stampin’ has brought us together, our siblings brought us closer, and a true friendship has emerged …

000_2686

They are so beautiful (just like Nancy) and they make me smile each time I look at them.

Today as we arrived for our stamping class, our lovely host Tina, who opens her home to our group each month, also created this cute little treat for each of us!!

000_2682

I have to share a close up of this little pumpkin … he’s so stinkin’ cute!

000_2685

Thank you ladies … you are wonderful 🙂

As for my treat, I created a handy little box to tuck all my candies in! I love the 2-4-6-8- boxes but needed something bigger so … I came up with this!

000_2687

I cut 2 – 6 x 9 inch pieces out of the Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper.  You score at 4″ and 8″ which leaves you a 1″ flap for sealing your box.

You will also need to score horizontally at the 2-1/4″ mark… that will create your bottom flaps. You do a little trimming on the bottom flaps so they close nicely (and all edges are adhered). Simple!!

If you would like a copy of the instructions, just send me your e-mail address to me at … (lindaluvs2stamp@aol.com) and I will send you directions. No purchase necessary! Just giving a little back or all I received this week.

Thank you so much for dropping by today ~

Have a wonderful weekend …

EEK … Spiders!!

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

I hope you had a chance to check out my blog yesterday and the multiple treat boxes I made with the “Curvy Keepsake Box” die. I share Halloween and Christmas boxes.

Today, I will continue with my Halloween week with my latest design that will make you go EEK!! Just image an walk through the forest and low and behold … it’s filled with spiders!! Spiders Everywhere!!

This card was quick and easy to create. I began with the “spider” pattern from the Happy Haunting Designer Series paper. The you simply run it through the Bigshot using with Embossing Folder – Woodland.

000_2678

With a light touch and the side of your marker, color the “raised” tree’s from the folder. That ‘s it.  A bit of Tangelo Twist for a pop of color and a simple greeting … “EEK” from the Little Letters Thinlit Dies.

You know what’s really creepy … it reminded me how we used to run through the cornfields when we were kids, later I learned how many spiders live in those cornfields! EEK!!!

Thank you for stopping by ~

Have a “fabulous” Friday!

Beware of Black Cats!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have another cute Halloween card to share and just in case you missed them yesterday … the Weekly Deals will also be featured.

My card today highlights the fabulous bundle; Happy Scenes stamp set & Hearth & Home Thinlits Dies, and it that isn’t fun enough … I’ve lured the black cat over from the Festive Fireside Framelits too!

000_2669

I wanted my black cat to be peering out the window on Halloween night, and what would one expect to see but a creepy little spider and a full moon! The full moon was created with the 1-1/4″ circle punch and the masking technique. I sponged on So Saffron, Calypso Coral and Perfect Plum to create my All Hallows Eve effect.

I wanted a nice sturdy house to protect me so I used the “Brick” embossing folder. To create the weathered look of the brick, I simply dragged my VersaMark™ pad across it. So simple but it really creates an awesome effect.

000_2670

To complete my card I finished off the inside and wished you all a Happy Halloween! And Many More … is the stamp set my greeting comes from.

Thank you for stopping by my Halloween home and meeting my little black cat!

My greeting comes from the “Among the Branches” stamp set (it’s bundled with the Woodland Textured Folder) which I embossed in black on Pear Pizzazz. I used the “Circle Framelits” to cut it out.

000_2664

I added the two little banners to a a touch more color and give the card . Wow … those creepy little eyes staring back at you from the inside, kind of gives me the goosebumps! Well, it is Halloween!

Witches Happy Haunting …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I hope you all got to enjoy the beautiful weekend, we were blessed with a fabulous fall day! I love this time of year.

Yesterday I used the large stripes from the “Timeless Elegance” designer paper, and today I’m going to highlight the lace pattern. Who better to wear lace than a witch! I stamped her hat in Elegant Eggplant and heat embossed it with the Iridescent Ice emboss powder.

hat-2

Her hat … oh yes, that came from the Howl-o-ween Bundle; The Howl-o-ween Treats stamp set and Boo to You Framelits Dies. It’s so cute and so much fun to play with. To create the focal point, I placed the hat on a silver 2-1/2″ circle.

I love to use purple, green and orange for Halloween so my color choices for today’s card was Elegant Eggplant, Pear Pizzazz, Pumpkin Pie which I used for my tags and base for the card. I finished my edges with the Triple Banner Punch … it can really make a banner from any size of cardstock, not just the 3 that are slotted for!

hat-1

As for my “Happy Haunting” greeting … I took that from my September Paper Pumpkin stamp set. Paper Pumpkin has some awesome “exclusive” stamps! It is really worth trying it out at least. CLICK HERE.

I hope my card inspired you to use your designer papers for any type of project … it’s always more fun to think outside the box!

Thank you for stopping by today ~

Have a marvelous Monday!

Today’s Simply Sunday post is a quick -n- easy card that is sure to bring a smile to those who receive it. A simple pumpkin created with 3 circles punched for our 2-1/2″ punch. I sponged the edges to create an appearance of dimension that you would see on a real pumpkin.

000_2641

The cute little face on my pumpkin comes from the “Sparkly Seasons” stamp set. I purchased the bundle and saved 15% which gave the the “Spooky” from the “Seasonal Frame” thinlits dies! I used the silver glimmer paper so it would add that Halloween sparkle to my card.

The leaves come from another bundle (yes, I like things on sale!) the Vintage Leaves and Leaflets Framelits. The stem was just cut free hand … easy!

000_2644

My background designer paper comes from the “Timeless Elegance” collection. Wait till you see what I did with it on tomorrows card! Remember, I’ll be sharing “Halloween” projects all week long.

Look at all the fun and amazing accessories included in this packet! I really do need to get back to scrapbooking!! These kits make it so easy … but I keep sneaking it for my cards! lol

And what else would I back it with but the fabulous Black Shimmer Paper! Love it, Love it, Love it!!

Are You Afraid of the Dark?

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’m going to take you to a “spooky” place … the dark side! I showed my Stampin’ Technique club this month a neat way of sponging a background on a colored piece of cardstock …

We began with the So Saffron cardstock and started sponging with the Crushed Curry. I like the way the Curry bring depth to the yellow tones. Next we blending in Tangerine Tango and finally blended our edge in Cajun Craze. It creates a bit of a haunting effect … don’t you think?

000_2595

Now that I had my background complete I wanted to add something new … I’ve been dying to get my hands on the “Sleigh Ride” Edgelits Dies (but why wait till Christmas!)

I used the “trees” die and added it to my background … yes, I liked the look. Hmmm … what next, the Spider Web Doily of course! Yes … I liked that too!

Yes, it’s a bit on the dark side, but I figured even Halloween likes to shine, so I matted my background with the silver glimmer paper and added my “Spooky” greeting also from the silver greeting. You can find “spooky” in with the Seasonal Frame thinlits dies.

000_2594

It’s a bit unique yes, but I liked the way the glimmer paper lighted it all up. A little Hocus Pocus I would say!

Thank you so much for “dropping” in.

I hope you have a fabulous Friday!

Spooky Halloween …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I’m back today with another Halloween card! It’s right around the corner and I want to share as many samples with you as I can. Can you believe how fast this year has gone! It’s almost spooky!

Today’s card uses the Howl-o-ween stamp set and Boo To You framelit bundle

I had to make at least one card with the skull and cross bones, and I’m glad they’re not too scary.  Once I stamped it and cut it out, I knew that I had to use those Spider Web Doilies again (just luv ’em). It really adds that “Halloween” touch to the card.

000_2579

My “spooky” comes from the “Seasonal Frame” Thinlits, another cool framelit set! Click HERE to view.

A pop of color was needed so I used another pattern from the “Happy Hauntings” designer paper. It’s just enough to pull the whole card together. My Halloween greeting comes from the “And Many More” stamp set.

000_2576

The inside was stamped with another skull -n- cross bones and “Trick or Treat” as a promise of a sweet things to come!

I love playing with stamp sets and their coordinating framelits … it’s easy to make and your cards looks so polished! Can’t by that at any store!!

000_2579

Thank you for visiting my blog, I hope you enjoyed my spooky little card.

Have yourself a great day!

Death by Chocolate!

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Death by Chocolate!?  If we have to go … what a way to go! I simply could not resist sharing another treat bad with you. I am again using the “Happy Haunting” Designer Series paper in yet another pattern… Plaid!! Plus it has a cute polka dot pattern on the other side so it worked perfect for my treat bag.

000_2565

This treat bag went together … 1 – 2 – 3! Once the bag was secured with my Fast Fuse, I simply popped on one of our “Spider Web Doilies” … they are soooo cute!

I then grabbed my greeting from the “Sweet Hauntings” stamp set and with the use of my markers I decided I only wanted the words and not the frame around it… this way I could punch them out (which I did) with the 1-3/4″ circle punch and place it nicely into the center of my doily!

Last but definitely not least … I grabbed a Sharpie™ and colored my Rhinestones to match my designer paper and greeting.  I love it when everything matches … lol. Then used my dimensionals to adhere my greeting and give the bag even more dimension.

000_2562

I can’t wait to stuff it with candy! And if you take a walk on Main Street in West Bend, Wisconsin you will see this cute little treat bag, along with some other stamped projects in the Candyman on Main’s Halloween window display. I should have that done by the end of the month!

I thank you for stopping by, it was so sweet of you!

Have a delightful day!

Halloween Treats For You!

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I made you a cute little treat bag from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits that are currently on Sale during our Weekly Deals (ends Monday).

With Halloween just around the corner, I thought it would be fun to team up the Treat Bag Thinlits Dies with the Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper and the beautiful Black Glimmer paper! When cutting out your bag … you want to make sure the pattern is going in the same direction. Easiest way is to keep the “zigzag or pinking” edge up when placing your dies onto the paper.

000_2552

Don’t you think this designer paper is cute? If you look closely … you will see that those crows are actually sitting on gravestones! And the other side of this paper? Well take another close look … you will see little jack-o-lantern faces! Too cute.

137547G

I cut the banner (which is included with the dies) out of the left over piece of designer paper. The “For You” (also included) I cut from a 1-1/2″ wide strip of Black Glimmer paper. I kept it in the center so I could put the banner over the top ( No Waste! ) then I simply trimmed the ends to match the banner.

How simple was that!? I used Fast Fuse to adhere my edges because it’s a bit stronger than the Snail and much easier that the old sticky strip. Then a few dimensionals to pop up my words and I was done!

000_2550

I like it because it fits a Gift Card in … but a candy bar would be good too! Oh yes, and you could give them a sneak peek by cutting a window into your treat bag. Would you like to see a sample of that tomorrow?

Hope you enjoyed my little project today! And don’t just think of Halloween … You could use these as a table dressing for Thanksgiving or to tuck the gift cards in for a Tree of Giving at Christmas. The possibilities and gift giving opportunities are endless!

Thank you for sharing a part of your day with me!

Hope your today is wonderful ~
