Something Borrowed …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I have a beautiful card for you that is sweet and simple. Spring seems to bring about wedding plans, so we to must plan … our cards!

000_2122

I began with the beautiful “Something Borrowed” Designer Series paper, and teamed it with a Sahara Sand base and a pop of Pink Pirouette.

The pretty little trim was created with the “Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border” punch, and was topped off with a Whisper White strip. The simple greeting comes from the Stampin’ Up! “Your Perfect Day” stamp set.

000_2125

I love the new “Something Borrowed” embellishments and had to add it to this card. It ties in so well with the Designer Paper! I also added some Rhinestones and colored them all (including the Something Borrowed embellishment) with a pink sharpie.

Just because a card is simple in it’s design, does not mean it cannot be elegant!

TODAY’S STAMPIN’ SUPPLY LIST …

Simply Sunday … Spring Cards

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I’d like to share a touch of “spring” with you. I have two cards that I created using the Sheer Perfection Vellum… I’m so sad this will be gone in a couple of days! I teamed up the Vellum with the “Crazy About You” stamp set and the coordinating “Flower Medallion Punch” on both cards.

000_2106

My first card fits well with my “Simply Sunday’s” theme ….

000_2110

Simple flowers with a touch of Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie from the Brights Collection of Markers. The vellum is placed over our Whisper White with a Basic Gray mat … popped up on a Daffodil Delight card base. Add a simple ribbon and your card is complete.

000_2112

Inside I added a bit more of the vellum and created a greeting from the “Crazy about You” stamp set. The stamp set is great for creating your own sayings because it has so much to choose from.

137137G

My second card has a few more steps but still easy to recreate. I again began with the vellum and colored it in with an Old Olive marker … also from the Brights Collection. Because it takes a bit to dry, I dipped it in clear embossing powder and heat embossed it. This gave it some added texture and really made the green pop!

 000_2113

The vellum was mounted on Old Olive and then matted on the Basic Gray, and secured to the Old Olive card base. I used the Oval Collection Framelits for the greeting and topped off the flower with a rhinestone.

000_2114

I finished off the inside with a couple of left over strips of cardstock and stamped the flower in the corner.  There are more great patterns in the vellum, and if you need to put in an order, do it before the Sale-a-bration period ends on Tuesday … don’t miss out.

As for my Stampin’ Tip … I wanted to show you a neat way I was shown to store my Photopolymer sets.

I took the clear sheet with the images on & slide it into my stamp case … make sure that the words are “backwards”, then you can place your photopolymer stamps directly onto the case. They stick just fine.

      000_2107       000_2108

With this set I needed to use both sides of the case, so I slide in a piece of plain white computer paper to block the writing that is on the sleeve.  You could do this to both sides if you like the brighter image on the left.

Thanks for taking time out of your day to visit my blog.

Have a wonderful day ~

Simply Sunday … You’re the Best!

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I have a cute card for you, and as promised I have used the “Irresistibly Yours” Specialty Designer Paper and the “Simply Wonderful” stamp set.

Yesterday you saw Brenda’s swap that showcased sponging on the “Irresistibly Yours” Specialty Designer Paper and I have shared in a previous post (Click here to view) how to create a watercolor background with your Aqua Painters. You can also brayer this fabulous paper but …

today I’m going to show you how simple it is to use your markers and just color!

000_2088

Using my Pool Party, Bermuda Bay and Island Indigo markers (the original Stampin’ Write markers) nothing fancy … I simply colored the first 3 spaces with Pool Party, the next 3 with Bermuda Bay, the next 3 with Island Indigo, then back to Bermuda Bay until all the lines were filled in.

Then I used a “baby wipe” to clean off my specialty paper …. I wiped off the excess in the direction of the lines. Quick & gentle … just enough to get the excess ink off, it also helps soften any lines from my coloring.

000_2088-B

Using my 3 colors from light to dark also created the “Ombre” look… a very popular technique!

I did team up the Sale-a-bration items with the Bundle of the “Petal Potpourri” stamp set and coordinating “Flower Medallion” punch that is in the Occasions catalog – page 23. If Stampin’ Up! bundles it … I purchase it, I love the 15% savings!! Gives me more money to buy more goodies!

To finish off my flower, I added some of our Dazzling Details glitter adhesive (glitter glue) to the center. I think it adds just enough glitter without being over powering.

000_2088-C

How simple was that!? Just image all the color combinations you can do with this simple technique. This paper is amazing … you don’t want to miss out! Our Sale-a-bration period ends March 31st and all you need to do is make a purchase of $50 before shipping & handling and pick the Irresistibly Yours paper for your Sale-a-bration freebie!

I have the list of ingredients for making this card below. just click on any one of them to see more details or go to my on-line store.

000_2062

From Daffodil Delight to Pink Pirouette, and instead of a button … I’ve added a bow. Both super simple, both really cute!

I also “omitted” the words today and added a greeting from the Sale-a-bration stamp set; Simply Wonderful 🙂

I have some news from Stampin’ Up! that I would also like to share with you today …

Simply Sunday … Love is Kindness

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Hope you are enjoying your weekend. I’ve been so busy I never even got to step outside yesterday, but I noticed that the snow was melting … YAY!!!  Better yet, I hear there is a warming trend our way. I don’t know about you, but I am ready for spring!

On that note, I can’t wait to share today’s card with you. First time on my blog … the “Love is Kindness” stamp set. And what says spring better than tulips!! I stamped the image with the Momento ink pad and chose the “Daffodil Delight” Blendabilities to color them.

000_2054

Yellow hues always give you that warm fuzzy feeling. The greens are the “Old Olive” blendabilities, and I used the “Smoky Slate” blendabilities to soften the black on the newspaper. My base card is Basic Gray, again to soften the look of the card instead of the boldness of our Basic Black.

I embossed the Daffodil Delight cardstock with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder for a touch of texture and popped up the flower portion to give it dimension.

000_2057

Just for fun … I added one of the buttons from the “Best Year Ever Accessory Pack”… it is one of the FREE items from our Sale-a-bration Catalog.

Thank you for joining me for today’s post, I appreciate you spending a bit of your Sunday with me.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Today’s Stampin’ Supply List …

So happy for you!

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Ahhhh … I believe we have all things back in order! So today I will showcase my “Simply Sunday” card even though it’s Tuesday. Besides, don’t we all love “simple” cards that are quick and easy to recreate. Today I will also be posting the new Weekly Deals for you.

000_2034

I picked one of the larger cards and cut it down a bit so I could mat it with the coordinating colors, Island Indigo and Pool Party. The opening between the two floral swags is perfect for a greeting … I picked the “So happy for you!” from the Bravo stamp set.  This is a very fun greeting set!

000_2042

Wow… that was easy! BUT … I thought it needed a touch of bling, so I added various size rhinestones on the flowers that had the Daffodil centers … then I colored the rhinestones with our Daffodil Delight Blendabilities!

THANKS … You Make my Heart Happy!

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

What did you think about yesterday’s announcement … 4 more amazing Sale-a-Bration products released just for the month of March! Click on flyer to view …

I have a cute project to share with you today! As promised … I will be using the “This Day” Project Life by Stampin’ Up! Mini Card Collection that you will find in the Sale-a-Bration catalog.

I have teamed it up with 2 great products … First, our February Paper Pumpkin and second, our newest photopolymer stamp set … “Loving Amazing You”.

The results from combining these 3 projects are a bold, fun and simple project to create! Let’s begin with the cute little box that is enclosed in the Paper Pumpkin kit …

000_2026

I simply trimmed down one of the cards from the Project Life by Stampin’ Up! Mini Card Collection – “This Day”, then stamped the envelope from the “Loving Amazing You” stamp set in Daffodil Delight and topped it off with the greeting done in Pool Party.

It’s my representation on “Sending (the envelope) good wishes your way!

The inside of the card was super simple ….

000_2030

I trimmed down the cards to 2-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ and used the felt “T-H-A-N-K-S” from the Paper Pumpkin kit. I love the bright colors … it’s just so “FUN!!”. I think it looks like a party 🙂

Ohhhh … what a great thank you card to give to that special person who got you that “just what I wanted” gift.

I finished it off by adding a cute little verse to the back … the sun is just another one of the cute cards enclosed in the Card Collection. All the stamps came from the “Loving Amazing You” stamp set.

000_2031

Hope you enjoyed my cute little project as much as I had fun making it! Quick and Simple, fun and cute!

Thanks much for stopping by today.

Brighten someone’s day … just by saying “THANKS” ~

Simply Sunday … Sending Good Wishes

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

I’m so excited to share my first card made with our newest photopolymer stamp set … “Loving Amazing You”. This great new set is just what you need to spread happiness to all. Its so versatile, you’ll find yourself using it over and over again. Recommended clear block sizes are A, B, C (not included in the set).

140594G

I wanted to create a simple, beautiful card … I love feather and all the greetings. I will definitely be sharing more from this stamp set with you.

000_2024

I stamped the feather with the VersaMark™ pad and embossed with clear embossing powder. I then sponged “Coastal Cabana” ink over the feathers and also used it for my greeting.

Just a pop of the Coastal Cabana between the two white pieces helps tie it all together. This card could be done in numerous different colors … pick your favorite!

There is a little texture created by embossing but I wanted to add some dimension to the card to I popped up the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. That is it … simple, yet beautiful.

Thank you for visiting my blog today.

STAMPIN’ SUPPLY LIST …

Say “THANKS” with style …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I’m going to show you an alternative project that you can do with your February Paper Pumpkin.

I really meant to post earlier but last night I was not feeling up to par so I sat down on the couch and before I knew it, it was about 3 am … with all the lights and TV on! Needless to say … I shut everything off and went to bed! Must have really needed sleep … lol.

Yesterday you got to watch the Stampin’ Up! video on how to make the Filled with Gratitude project, here’s mine …

000_2012

I took the negative (or leftover) piece of felt and decided to create something with that. First, you have to cut it because it comes 2 per sheet. I used a ruler to draw a line where I wanted to cut, then used my “Craft Scissors” … it works great!

Because the felt piece is larger than a regular size card, I designed it to fit into a business size envelope! You’ll need to cut your full piece of cardstock (I used Soft Suede) down to 9-3/4” x 7-7/8” and fold in half lengthwise.

000_2016

I really wanted it to pop so I matted it with the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper! I did use Mini Glue Dots to hold the felt piece onto the glimmer paper.

I then popped up that piece with dimensionals and attached it to a piece of Pool Party and stamped “you’re the best” from the Simply Wonderful stamp set found in the Sale-a-bration catalog. The entire front was then attached to the Soft Suede.

Living a life of gratitude seems to bring more wonderful people in your life, so I try very hard to show people I appreciate them. If you have a special waitress, hairdresser or UPS man … this would be a great way to say “Thanks”!

000_2015

I’ve added a piece of Pool Party to the inside and punched a partial “Decorative Label” in the center, then trimmed the sides with the “Extra Large Oval”.

The “YOU’RE SIMPLY WONDERFUL” also comes from the Simply Wonderful stamp set found in the Sale-a-bration catalog. Once attached … just slip some cash or a gift certificate for a fun touch.

000_2012- Thanks

I appreciate that you follow my posts. Let me know if there is anything special you would like me to showcase.

Have a wonderful day …

Showcasing Embossing Folders with beautiful cards …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

So … what did you think about the cards I shared with you yesterday? Did you notice 2 new ones? Yes, I added two, never before seen cards!

Today I’d like to share the details of those cards with you. Let me start with the wedding card …

000_1967

I used the Beautifully Baroque folder on Pool Party card stock. The “doubled” butterfly is done with vellum paper and the new Butterfly Thinlits Dies. The addition of the pearls really makes the butterfly stand out.

The salutation comes from the stamp set “Big News” and was stamped in Pool Party.

The second card was the “Baby” card …

000_1970

This one is done in Pink Pirouette and Basic Gray and showcases the “Zig Zag” folder. The greeting comes from the “Celebrate Baby” stamp set. I love the combination of stamps that allow you to make many different types of baby cards.

I finished off the card by layering the flowers punched from the Boho Blossom punch.

Don’t forget … the folders are ON SALE through Monday, February 2nd. Click on any of the items below for more information.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hope you have a beautiful day ~

Lovin’ that Valentine Designer Paper!

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I’m going to share another Valentine Card with you. I figured since I had all my supplies on the table yet, I could show you another way to use them!

If you are like me ….  you have a hard time throwing those left over pieces of cardstock and designer paper away!  Well thank goodness you didn’t, because look at what you can do with leftovers!

000_1931

I cut yesterday’s scrap pieces down into 1-1/2″ squares and arranged them on a piece of black cardstock. WOW … how simple can you get! I added a heart, punched out of the Silver Glimmer paper and topped it off with a cute little bow made out of the Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine.

Our greeting comes from the “Hello Life” stamp set that I used yesterday. I really like this stamp set. When you look at it in the catalog, just be aware the the pictures on the right side are only shown at 50%, the real size is what you see on my card and I think is a perfect size!!

000_1935

As you can see from this peek inside the card that I used a few more left over pieces to embellish the inside. Nothing wrong with showin’ some more love.

Thank you for checking out my blog today … I hope you enjoyed the card.

Have a great day … it’s almost Friday!

My Stampin’ Supply List …

I Love You Valentine …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I have the Valentine card as promised. A sweet and simple card that gets right to the point “I Freakin’ Love You”. The sentiment comes from our Yippee Skippee stamp set found in the main catalog … click on the right side of the screen directly on the catalog to view it.

000_1929

Our sweet little hearts come from the Hello Life stamp set in the new Occasions catalog. I really love this stamp set because it can be used for so many occasions. I chose the polka dot heart to coordinate with the polka dots in our designer paper. The designer paper comes from the “Stacked with Love” paper stack on page 5 of the Occasions Catalog.

I masked the red heart and stamped the simple outlined heart so it appears to be behind the red. I then added a touch of glitter into it.

Thanks for stopping back today.

Have a wonderful Wednesday ~
