Sweet Friend …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I took the day off yesterday … Saturday night I had a sleep over with my grandkids! We rented movies and made popcorn and had a nice time.  Sunday us “girlies” went to Bath & Body Works and bought some awesome smellin’ goodies.

Today I’m back with a card that I created for my “Catalog Kick-Off” Party last Monday … I’ll share a few of the card but I want to keep some exclusive to those who attend my events.

When I saw the “Helping Me Grow” stamp set in the Occasions catalog, I knew I had to have it! I just love the flowers – they’re big enough to use on a scrapbook page, but not too big on a card … a perfect fit!

000_3079 x 650

My color pallet for my card is Old Olive, Whisper White and Calypso Coral … a nice combination. Then we added a “WINK OF STELLA” to our flowers. So pretty and so easy to use … watch the video!

We stamped the image with StazOn and colored it in with the Calypso Coral and Old Olive markers. Then we simply brushed on the beautiful “Wink of Stella” … it’s just a hint of shimmer and oh so pretty.

Wink of Stella on Flower

We used the Oval Framelit Collections to cut out the flowers and mat to create a focal point for our card. Our greeting comes from this stamp set and our banner was trimmed with the “Triple Banner” Punch.  Just a little Old Olive Bakers Twine finishes off and anchors the banner.

If you’re wondering where our designer series paper comes from … it comes from the “Wildflower Fields” Designer Paper located in our Sale-a-bration catalog!!  This is just the beginning of what you will see me do with this pretty paper.

Thanks so much for the day off and for coming back to see what I made for you today.  I appreciate it… sweet friends!

Have a sweet and happy day!

TODAY’S STAMPIN’ SUPPLY LIST …

…BECAUSE YOU’RE AWESOME

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’d like to share a cute card that you can whip up with just a couple of punches and a fun embossing folder! Easy right! Cute too!

000_3069

Those of you who have stamped with me for a while, know that I love to layer color on color … today it’s white. Layers on a card just add that extra touch … a little more love. The first thing I did once I decided to do the white on white, was emboss the top layer with the “Lovely Lace” embossing folder.

I like to combine my punches to create even more layering – it adds depth and dimension to the card. Here is used the “Petite Petals” punch on the Wild Wasabi, Rose Red and Island Indigo cardstock… this flower is the perfect size to highlight so many other stamp sets and projects.

I then added the little white flower – punched from the “Itty Bitty Accents” Punch Pack and topped it off with a rhinestone. I liked it … but wanted a bit more color so I added a mat in Rose Red and White – that really popped my flowers.

000_3066

Awe … and you couldn’t find a better greeting to send some flowers to a friend than “because you’re awesome”.  This comes from the Sale-a-bration stamp set “Botanicals for You”. You can get this stamp set for free with a qualifying order of $50 (before shipping & handling).

I did hand cut my banner ends but you could easily use the “Triple Banner” punch. I use it all the time except when I let my sister use it to complete the extra packets of cards from my Catalog party.

Hope this quick -n- cute card inspires you to whip up a few cards for yourself.  Have fun and enjoy your weekend!

Thanks so much for joining me today.

Falling for You …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

OK – there are way too many leaves off the tree’s already … Where did autumn go? This is my favorite time of year and I feel like I was so busy that I missed it!

So I’m hanging on a little longer by creating a card that I’ll keep on my desk till the snow falls! This was a fun card to make, I used the “Baby Wipe” technique to get all this color …

000_2746

I knew I wanted to use the “Sheltering Tree” stamp set, and the “Baby Wipe” technique is the easiest and quickest way to create the explosion of color. I laid out a stack of 4 – 5 baby wipes and began dropping ink from the refill bottles.

I used Old Olive, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Real Red re-inkers, then pressed the leaves into the inked up baby wipe and stamped it onto the tree which was already stamped in Chocolate Chip.

I added the leaves to create my ground cover and then added a greeting which is included in the stamp set. To jazz it up a bit, I punched the corners with our new Curvy Corner Trio Punch … I love the fun design.

000_2745

A simple card yes, but too pretty to resist.

Thank you for joining me today,

I hope you have a good day.

Dropping in to Say HI …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I hope you had a wonderful weekend! I had the chance to spend time with my granddaughter and her little guy … He’s so cute!

Today I’d like to share with you the last of my “sneak peeks” into the Holiday Catalog because tomorrow it goes live!! Yes, you can finally order from this fabulous catalog.

For those of you who can’t wait … you should consider becoming one of my Star’s! There’s no obligation to sell (unless you want to make some money) you only need to keep yourself active to be able to see the catalogs early and order early … just one of the fun perks. Let me know … we’ll talk.

Here’s my card …

000_2493

I started with the fabulous “Into the Woods” Designer Series paper. Our designers actually hand painted the designs, how pretty, and it coordinates with several of our stamp sets.

I choose the “Acorny Thank You” stamp set because I felt like dropping in on you to say Hi! I think that is so cute. I love all the acorns too! Oh yes … it has a coordinating punch, which you can bundle and save 15% … gotta love that!

I highlighted my punching it out with the “Decorative Label” punch … you will recognize that one. It’s in our main catalog and I use it quite a bit.

I also wanted to add some texture to my card so I created a banner with the Burlap Ribbon. I don’t know, I think burlap looks great on fall cards. What do you think?

000_2496

Hope you enjoyed today’s card … I’d really love to hear what you think. You can comment below on this card or any of the “sneak peek” cards I have shared with you.

I’d also like to THANK all those who participated in my “Free Stamp Special” … I hope you enjoy you stamps. Thanks again!

Hope you all have a wonderful day … I’ll be back tomorrow with some new “Weekly Deals”.

Take care ~

Guest Stamper: Patti S.

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Yesterday I got a visit from one of my stampin’ friends … Patti S. She stopped by to pay for an order she placed and as always, she has her payment tucked inside a cute card! Since I’m still working on organizing … I thought it would be nice to share with you.

000_2448

I love this card … it gives you the feeling of a warm invitation to have a cup of coffee with a friend. Isn’t that why we make cards? To evoke good feelings towards the receiver … of course.

Although the stamp set is retired, I decided to still share because don’t we all keep a stash of our favorites even after they retire! If I didn’t  … I wouldn’t need to purge my house! lol

It brightened my day … I hope it brightened yours as well.

Thanks for stopping by ~

My Heart Smiles Card

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Sorry I missed you yesterday … I’m spring (summer) fall cleaning! With 15 years of my business and working my other job, things tend to get tucked away for a later date and before you know it, you begin to look like a hoarder! Too much stuff and not enough room so it’s time for a major overhaul of my home.

Meanwhile I will try to keep up with posts but I  can’t promise as we will be going through the stampin’ studio too. I appreciate you checking back with me … I will try to keep you up to date, informed, and entertained! lol

Today’s card comes right from My Stampin’ Up! Website

HeartSmiles_DBWS_Gallery_08.2015_NA_EU_SP

It was posted by Stampin’ Up! CLICK HERE TO VIEW.  They have a project folder and so do I – so there are many samples to view on my website.

They used the new “Timeless Love” stamp set and teamed it with the “Watercoloring” technique! For this watercolor technique they used the “Aqua Painters.

The Deco Label Collection framelits were used to create the focal point of the card … very pretty!

I have the list of ingredients below. Please let me know if you have any questions, or feel free to post comments below.

Thanks for stopping by and sticking with me!

Just for you ….

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Yesterday I shared a sneak peak at one of our Halloween stamp sets and one of the things I spoke of was the “layout” of the card.

Here is the card I shared with you yesterday …

000_2418

Here is today’s card with the same layout, just a new designer paper and stamp set!

000_2427

I chose Pretty Petals designer series paper stack and teamed it up with the “Watercolor Words” stamp set. I stamped the greeting in Old Olive on Very Vanilla and punched it out using the 2-1/2″ Circle Punch. I followed up by punching out an Old Olive circle with the 1-3/4″ punch.

Then I highlighted the flowers by punching them out and adding a Calypso Coral mat behind it.  The layout is so fun and easy to use … think kids cards, Christmas, Birthday … anything really!

000_2428

I have added the stampin’ supply list below so you can begin making your cards today! If you need any of the items used today, just click on the link and begin shopping.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Have a great day ~

Samples & Tips from the Stampin’ Up! Convention …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I’d like to share with you some cute cards and tips that Stampin’ Up! shared with us at Convention.  One of my favorite parts of convention is the main stage presentations where the home office demonstrates new products and techniques ….

6a00d8354941d869e201b7c7b4812d970b-600wi

These cute 2 x 2 note cards were created with the “Watercolor Wishes” kit. Because this stamp set is part of the kit, they demonstrated this cute project as another fabulous way to use the stamps!

You’ll just cute the cardstock into 2″ x 4″ strips and fold in half.  She used one of my favorite paper stacks – Pretty Petals to create the envelopes and embellish with hearts!! The sweet little heart comes from the “Itty Bitty Accents” Punch Pack.

She also showed us how to make the envelopes for our little note cards! I love that she shared this board with us … now I can share it with you! Notice she used the punch board to trim the edges of the card 🙂

Pretty-petals-2x2-envelope-convention-stampin-up

Convention is always a great time … learning how to use the products in more than one way, meeting up with friends from all over the country that you have made over the years, and making new friends!

I hope you enjoyed today’s card share as much as I did watching the presentation and that it inspired you to pull out your designer paper and envelope punch board!

CONVENTION SAMPLES-2

I have a list of ingredients below if you need to order any of the items listed. It will take you directly to my on-line store and give full descriptions of the item.

Just Because …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

It’s Wednesday and we’re finally on the fast track to the weekend! Here in Salt Lake City many of the demonstrators will be going to the Corporate offices including two of my downline members Brenda & Debi. Getting to see where all the creativity stems is really exciting.

Our Convention officially kicks off tomorrow! Don’t forget to follow me on my facebook page! CLICK HERE

Today I have a pretty little card for you … Just Because!

000_2403

I’m using our “Pretty Petals” Designer Series paper stack. There are so many pretty patterns in this stack and designs you can use on your masculine cards too.  There is never any left overs with a stack of papers this pretty!

138442G

I couldn’t resist adding the delicate lace of the Venetian Crochet Trim … it looks so nice against the floral pattern. My greeting comes from the “Tin of Cards” stamp set. Talk about a set with everything you need …

I wanted to jazz up my greeting platform so I used the combination of Circle and Floral Framelit dies! I just added a bit more to the card than your ordinary greeting stamped on a rectangle (although I do that a lot – lol)

To complete my card… I added a precious flower next to my greeting, created with the flower punch from the “Itty Bitty Accents” punch pack. Then you simply must add a pearl so it matches the pretty flowers on the designer paper.

000_2408

A perfect card to send to a friend … Just Because!

THE BEST THING … In Black & White

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today is our first full day in beautiful Salt Lake City, Utah! We’re here for the Stampin’ Up! Convention and some genealogy! I will be posting all week long but if you would like a glimpse into SLC and Convention, come visit my Linda’s Stampin’ Escape facebook page ... CLICK HERE!

I have a card share with you today done in Black and White. I began with the layout and my Squares Collection Framelits…

000_2393

Then I teamed it up with the Neutrals Designer Series Paper pack and World of Dreams stamp set.

The Whisper White frame was cut 4″ x 5-1/4″ and then the Square framelit was used to cut out and expose the designer paper underneath. The white frame is popped up with the use of Stampin’ Dimensionals!

I then stamped the birds using the Memento Ink and used a smaller square framelit to cut it out.  This was also popped up with dimensionals … giving the card added dimension and a classic clean look.

000_2396

If you want … you could mat your favorite color behind the center square (bird image) and create a focal point with a “pop” of color! Experiment and have some fun.  Even simple layouts can become extraordinary cards!

Thank you for stopping by today ~

Hope your day is a good one!

The Little Moments …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I have a sweet little card that showcases two of our designer series paper packs … The Cherry on Top and the Neutrals Collection. I find working with designer papers fun and easy! Makes card making a breeze!

000_2374

I teamed up the little hearts from the “Cherry on Top” with the words from the “Neutrals Collection” … although the brown colors are slightly different, you can’t really tell.

I used the beautiful Cucumber Crush Lace trim to add a pop of color to my card, and it coordinates with the little hearts. The greeting is also stamped in the Cucumber Crush and comes from the stamp set “Watercolor Wings”.

I cut out my greeting with one of the framelits from the “Chalk Talk” set, and then popped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I love the verse “The Little Moments with You Matter a Lot to Me” … and if you look closely at the card you can see “awesome together” and “love your face” on the designer paper. Nice combo … don’t you think!?

000_2375

Thank you for coming by my blog today.

Hope your day is simply awesome!

Simply Sunday: You’re the Friend

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I have another Simply Sunday card share for you. I chose the Friendly Wishes stamp set and paired it with the beautiful English Garden Designer Series Paper. The outcome was a beautiful card that you would be happy to share with a friend …. a friend everyone wishes they had!

000_2371

I used our new “Lot’s of Labels” framelits. It frames the verse beautifully and is matted with Early Espresso. I used Blushing Bride and the flower from the Itty Bitty Accents punch … notice how the four petal flower coordinates with the flowers on the designer paper!

I’m introducing the new Metal Rimmed Pearls on this card, I thought that it was the perfect choice for the top. The “friend” was colored in with the writing tip of the marker (not the brush tip). I stamped the greeting in Early Espresso, and if you used the brush tip, you could smear the two colors.

000_2370

To finish off my card I popped up the greeting and added a scrap piece of the designer paper inside. There really isn’t any scrap … is there!

Thank you for sharing a part of your day with me.

I hope you have a wonderful day … spend it with a friend 🙂

TODAY’S STAMPIN’ SUPPLY LIST …

You’re the Best!

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

I am totally excited to share today’s card with you!! As some of you know, Eileen and I have been working on the upcoming Catalog Kick-Off party and this holiday weekend was no exception! But yesterday I came up with the cutest card made with the “Friendly Wishes” stamp set.

Friendly Wishes is just one of 7 stamp sets that will be featured at the Kick-Off party.  We will also have 7 boards showcasing additional card samples so you get an idea how fun and versatile these stamp sets are… Oh yes, and I raffle these boards off at the end of the night, so seven lucky winners go home with these fabulous cards!!

And here is one of those cards …

000_2356

This super cute and easy card was created with the Friendly Wishes stamp set and I teamed it up with the “Pretty Petals” Designer Series Paper Stack. Don’t you just love this pattern! Oh my gosh… I love it!

I added a bit of color to the greeting by highlighting the “BEST” with a marker, and stamping the flower.

I used the “Chalk Talk” framelits but found that I had no Calypso Coral ribbon, hmmm … what to do? So then it popped into my head … ya, you have a “bow” builder punch! And presto … the card was complete!

This view shows you how pretty the bow really is, and the great dimension it adds to it.

000_2358

We all love pretty cards, but that doesn’t mean they always have to take 3 hours to make! Use your designer paper … that’s what it’s here for.

We have another 5 cards showcasing this set, but you will have to come to the Kick-Off party to see them all. (A total of 42 card ideas!!) Remember … you must RSVP by this Friday, July 10th. Click Here to view full details and e-mail me at lindaluvs2stamp@aol.com to RSVP.

I also want to give a quick shout out to a second wave of new “Pinterest” followers! Thank You!!

Have a beautiful week … I’ll see you tomorrow with the newest wave of Weekly Deals 🙂

Thanks for stopping by ~

Sunday Hello …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Just a quick note to say “THANKS” to all my new Pinterest followers … I’ll be sure to keep posting my projects & collecting great samples to inspire you.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend. I know I usually post “Simply Sunday” with quick and easy card, but I wanted to share a card with you that I made. The inspiration came from fellow demonstrator Clair Daly … one of our Australia demonstrators.

I changed up the color pallet and wanted my focal point to be the dragon fly … that will bring your eye directly to the “HELLO” greeting which comes from the Tin of Cards stamp set.

My main stamp is the new “Awesomely Artistic” and is it ever.  I really like this stamp set and it will be one of the “featured” sets at my upcoming “Catalog Kick-Off Party”   Click on this link for full details

000_2350

My color pallet consists of Sahara Sand, Whisper White and Early Espresso.  The dragon fly’s are done in Pacific Point, Crisp Cucumber and glitter!! I will admit that the dragon fly’s are “fussy” cut … there is no punch or die for them (I know … so sorry).

The background was created using the “collage” technique … I haven’t done that in a while, so I thank Clair for the inspiration!

Enjoy your day & I’ll be back tomorrow with another cute sample! Maybe something a bit different!!

Thanks for stopping by ~
