A Handcrafted Masculine Card in Green & Gold

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

In this blog post, we’ll explore the creation of a stunning card using the Most Adored Specialty paper and incorporating the captivating “Ink Dragging Technique.” The result is a visually striking combination of Shaded Spruce and Gold, enhanced further by the use of Gold Foil sheets and a touch of sentiment from the “He’s All That” stamp set.

To begin, select the Most Adored Specialty Paper as the canvas for your card. To add depth and dimension, employ the Ink Dragging Technique using Shaded Spruce ink. The gentle strokes of color will create a captivating visual effect, giving the paper an alluring quality.

Next, I introduced the Gold Foil Sheet to complement the rich Shaded Spruce tones. Cut and layer the foil strategically / cutting diagonally allowing it to bring out the luxurious gold accents on the card. For a heartfelt touch, use the “He’s All That” stamp set to heat emboss your sentiment in gold. Once embossed, utilize the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch to give the sentiment a distinctive shape, adding a touch of sophistication to the card.

On The Flip Side:

When you turn over the Most Adored gold pattern it reveals a delightful surprise on the flip side. Against a backdrop of flirty flamingo, white floral hearts bloom, creating a charming contrast. This pretty design adds an element of playfulness to our overall card design.

For the greeting, I used the “Sending Smiles” stamp set and coordinating Sending dies. Cut out the delicate elements and arrange them onto your card front. To accentuate the design, embellish with silver pearls from the Festive Pearls package. These pearls add a touch of elegance to our card.

Crafting a handmade greeting card is an art form that allows for the expression of creativity and thoughtfulness. By showcasing the allure of the Most Adored Specialty Paper, either card is sure to leave a lasting impression on its recipient.

Thanks for taking time out of your Sunday to check out my cards today.

Sending Smiles Card in Lemon Lolly

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Thought I would change things up a bit today and share my Sending Smiles Card created in Lemon Lolly. Who know I would flip head over heals for this new color. It’s so cheerful and some days we all need a little more cheer in our lives.

I created this card for the Tutorial Group that I am in …. Our June theme is our favorite new color.

Let me know if you would like the PDF for this card… just leave me a comment below. You will need WORD to open the file … I’d be happy to share this one with you.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Have a good one!!

Sunshine to Brighten Your Day

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Are you ready for more Circle Sayings? This card will bring the Sunshine to Brighten Your Day and will leave you yearning to hear the waves crashing against the rocks. Yesterday I shared the Sea Shells with you … today, the waves, and I will be combining the Patchwork Pieces dies into the card.

Let’s begin with out color pallet; I wanted the feel of the ocean and all it’s beautiful blue/green tones; Coastal Cabana, Azure Afternoon, Tahitian Tide, Pool Party, and Lost Lagoon dance across this card. You will have to cut one of each of these colors but then you’ll have enough left overs for 5 more cards!!

My card base is Coastal Cabana and then I matted with Azure Afternoon 4″ x 5-1/2″. For the layers you will cut one of each; I began with a 3-7/8″ x 5-3/8″ of each color. CENTER your die onto your cardstock … this way you can use the “frame” if you want to. I did on this card.

Now comes the fun part … choose the colors in a pattern that you prefer. I began with Pool Party, then Lost Lagoon, followed by Coastal Cabana, Tahitian Tide, then Azure Afternoon and the small piece on the bottom is Lost Lagoon. Experiment and have fun creating your color scheme.

Before I secured my layers down with the Tombo Liquid Glue, I used a Sponge Dauber to sponge on some Craft White Ink to make them look more like waves rippling through the ocean. It also created a softer transition between colors.

Next up was my waves from the Circle Sayings set. I simply colored this with my Lemon Lolly and Tahitian Tide Stampin’ Blends, but then after it dried, I added the Coastal Cabana from my Stampin’ Write Markers as there is not one in the alcohol based blends yet. Then I added some Shimmery White Embossing Paste to my wave!! Talk about texture… I love it!

I punched out my design with the coordinating 2-3/8″ punch from the Circle Sayings Bundle. The Coastal Cabana mat was die cut from the Reach for the Stars bundle.

I attached my stamped image with the Stampin’ Dimensionals to give some added dimension to the card. The greeting “Sunshine to Brighten Your Day” comes from the Sending Smiles stamp set and was stamped with Memento Ink to coordinate with our stamped image.

The fun color pallet and texture of this card will leave you feeling inspired. Happy Stamping and have a wonderful weekend!

A Card to Say Hello …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

I have been sharing cards created with the Delightfully Eclectic Designer paper so today I picked a pattern I wanted to have a little fun with. I grabbed my Stylish Shapes dies and using the smallest of the square dies, I cut out the floral pieces from the design … you can see how they could be cut both ways.

Once I got them die cut, I tied a pretty bow using the natural Bakers Twine. I then attached the die cuts to the adhesive foam and popped them up. I layered them onto a piece of Garden Green and then used the Bubble Bath cardstock for my card base.

Simple and sweet … A card to say hello. The greeting comes from the Sending Smiles stamp set and die cut with the Sending Dies. I layered that with Garden Green before attaching it to the card front using Mini Dimensionals.

I thought this would be a fun little twist to this designer paper and to add some texture and dimension to my card. Hope you enjoyed.

Thank you for stopping by today.
