Simply Sunday: Let Us Celebrate

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I hope you are having a peaceful weekend (unless your hoping for a fun packed one!).  I have had the pleasure of meeting with two of my clubs this weekend so mine was good … anytime shared with friends is a good time.

Today we are bringing it back to basics … with a focus on stamping. I am using the “Balloon Celebrations” stamp set from the Occasions Catalog. It is a two-step stamp … one in which you can use multiple stamps to layer color onto your image.

000_2991

You can see that my first stamp was the bold (solid) balloon done in Melon Mambo. Then it was stamped with the speckled (partial / detailed) stamp directly over the top – I used Melon Mambo again and stamped it twice to get a darker color. My last stamp was the line image the outside of the balloon – I chose the Black Momento pad to create more of an impact.

My greeting – the balloon string was also stamped in the Momento Ink. I punched the corners for a bit more flair and then popped it up onto the “It’s My Birthday” Designer Series paper also from the Occasions Catalog.

Only one more step to finish off my card … I added “Crystal Effects” to the balloon to make it shine! Simple, basic techniques can still make a fun, colorful card.

000_3001

The purchase of the “Balloon Celebrations” stamp set and the “It’s My Birthday” Designer Series paper Stack (48 sheets, 4 each of 12 double-sided designs) will get you a FREE Sale-a-bration Item (VIEW HERE)

Thank You for taking time out of your Sunday to stop by and visit with me. I hope you enjoyed the card and feel inspired to get back to basics and create fast and fun birthday cards!

Have an awesome day ~

‘Tis the Season … Birthday!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I have to say a quick “Thank You” to those who participated in the Online Extravaganza!  I will be sending your “Thank You” card bundles out tomorrow!

Today I have a quick -n- cute card for you, using the “Go Wild” Designer Series Paper Stack that just hit the Weekly Deals yesterday. I teamed up this fun designer paper with the sassy “In This Together” stamp set.

138441G

The card made me think of my granddaughter … the pattern of the paper, the pop of Melon Mambo, and her skinny legs!

000_2907

Oh yes … and she loves to shop! ‘Tis the Season (for shopping) and my Destiny LOVES to shop, anytime of the year!!  This will be her birthday card and on the inside I’ll write “Happy Birthday! Now let’s go shopping!” This stamp set has two other cute stamps that I have used often. It’s a great stamp set for friends.

133869G

I could have done much more coloring on this image but I wanted to just highlight her dress, shoes and matching bag! I used the Melon Mambo ink pad and blender pen to color, and then a black marker for her leggings.

000_2908

Had to add a bit of the color in the front to the inside of the card too. To finish off the card I popped up the front with dimensionals and added a bit of bling as her buttons.

Just a simple, fun card that has that bit of a wild side flair!! What girl wouldn’t love it!

Hope you have a wonderful day … and thank you for stopping by. Tomorrow I’ll be sharing another card done with this awesome designer paper!

Sweet, Sweet Candy …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Happy Weekend to you! Many of you know besides being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, a blogger, Mom of 3, grandma of 11 and great-grandma of one … I also manage the candy store in my hometown.

So, what do you think I thought of when I say that little candy stamp in this months Paper Pumpkin kit?

Yep … a sweet but simple card featuring the candy! I used it to create the background …

000_2600

I wanted plenty of color so I chose the Daffodil Delight, Crisp Cucumber, Watermelon Wonder and Wisteria Wonder and stamped that little candy stamp all over!

Then I chose the “You’re So Sweet” as my greeting and stamped it in Watermelon… that is when I decided to create a banner to highlight the greeting. For a bit more pop of color I added the Daffodil Delight and Crisp Cucumber behind it. (Subliminal message: Green and Gold)

The entire card front was matted with the Watermelon Wonder to make the greeting stand out and then that was layered onto the Whisper White background.

000_2602

Cute & fun card for any occasion … birthday, sweet sixteen or just because!

Thank you for joining me today ~

I hope your day is filled with fun and lots of color!

TODAY’S STAMPIN’ SUPPLY LIST …

More Treat Bag Fun for You!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

As promised, today I have a treat bag with a window! Let’s have a little fun here today … I’m using the  Treat Bag Thinlit and Happy Haunting Designer paper. I’ve chosen a different pattern of paper today so I can show you that this is not just for Halloween.

For those of you who know me well, you know I love Star’s!! Here they are in full force, and to top it off … our thinlit die has a star in it too! I used it to cut out my window and make another star to bring in the orange color from the inside of the bag (reverse side of paper).

000_2556

You simply place the star or other shape that you would like to use to create a window in the center of the largest die. If you want to fill your treat bag with smaller goodies, simply adhere a window sheet inside before assembling your treat bag. (Too hard to do once it’s all put together).

So … if you want to treat someone that “rocks” with a fun little gift, what would you give them? Why “POP ROCKS” of course.  So clever (or fun) … Pop Rocks + Star paper = Rock Star!

000_2560

What a quick and simple way to brighten someones day! Hope you enjoyed!

I also have something special to share with you …

Natural Expressions …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I want to share with you a post from the Stampin’ Up! blog “Inspired By”. The beautiful projects were created by fellow demonstrator Teneale Williams who was on our Artisan Design Team 2014-15.  She is very talented & I’ve enjoyed reading her blog as well.

Please enjoy …

Natural Expressions

Today I’m (Teneale Williams) sharing some ideas on adding a little rustic charm to your projects.

1

Our Expressions Natural Elements (item #138395) feature wood veneer words and come with five of each greeting.

2

To enhance the wooden texture of the Expressions Natural Elements, apply a few strokes of ink across the grain of the wood using a Stampin’ Write Marker. I used Soft Suede and Early Espresso from the Neutrals Stampin’ Write Markers collection (item #131261). (It is fine to leave small sections without ink.)

3

Lightly sand the surface; I used a nail file.

4

Leaves are the second element in my projects. I clear-embossed on Mossy Meadow Cardstock (item #133676) using the Vintage Leaves Photopolymer Stamp Set (item #138802). For a look more rustic look, I shaped the leaves using a Bone Folder (item #102300) by rolling it over the surface and applying pressure to the midrib of the leaf. For best results, do this on a soft surface, like the Stampin’ Pierce Mat (item #126199).

5

6

Bringing together the previous elements, here is the first card. I’ve looped Linen Thread (item #104199) and used it to frame the leaves with the wooden greeting sitting on top.

7

For the second card, I used the larger maple leaf from Vintage Leaves. I clear-embossed the leaf, then cut it out and shaped it using the Bone Folder. This time I stepped up the design by adding a piece of Mossy Meadow 5/8″ Striped Cotton Ribbon (item #138419) and Home for Christmas Enamel Dots (item #140536) in Very Vanilla.

8

For the final item I clear-embossed the maple leaf on a Takeout Box (item #135827) and tied a bow around it with Mossy Meadow 5/8″ Striped Cotton Ribbon (item #138419).

Designer Series Paper Stacks and More

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Just had to share the “Get Inspired” post by Stampin’ Up! with you.  Check out all these cute projects!!

The new annual catalog is out! Wooh!!! I don’t know about you, but my wish list is enormous. And our new (adorable) Designers Series Paper Stacks are my faves.

Check out these striped and floral patterns! For this project, I used Crushed Curry, Cucumber Crush, Pool Party, and Watermelon Wonder. It takes just a minute or two to make the fun little Designer Series Paper floral accents featured here using the Flower Medallion Punch (item # 137417). Just snip the petals to give them a little dimension, then adhere them to the tags using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

12be816583795661a8962ff0000f7f0e6

Do you love the adorable floral centers? They’re our new 2015–2017 In Color Blossom Accents (item # 138383)—1/2″ in diameter with 20 flowers per package and four each of five colors.

2

The stamp sets featured here are Friendly Wishes (item # 139579) and Sweet Stack(item # 138948).

Create the tag using the Ornate Tag Topper (item # 137416).

3

Love the new Watermelon Wonder 1″ Dotted Lace Trim; it’s item # 138425 in the new catalog.

4

The cute taffy paper used to make this card is included with the Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper Stack (item # 138443). Make the gift box with the Big Shot (item # 113439), the Fry Box Bigz L Die (item # 132966), the All about Sugar Stamp Set (item # 138684) and the Sprinkles on Top Stamp Set (item # 139569). I slipped the treat inside a Gusseted Cellophane Bag, item # 133770.

5

Just for fun, I made a necklace out of stamped doughnuts (see right side of picture). Just make a “sandwich” out of two punched doughnuts with a Stampin’ Dimensional in the middle, then adhere it to the soon-to-be-available-and-super-awesome Silver Metallic Thread (item # 138402). Add a balloon to this cute little ensemble and you have a bright and happy birthday gift for a friend!

Thank you Cindy B. for the awesome projects! Get’s you in the mood to party!

Thanks for stopping by …

Go out and celebrate the day!

Introducing …. Sprinkles of Life

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I’d like to introduce a new stamp set to you today …. the Sprinkles of Life Stamp Set. It is this years Ronald McDonald House Charity stamp set.

Sprinkle positive thoughts wherever you want. This set is chock-full of positivity that you’ll want to share with everyone.

139971G

Stampin’ Up! donates time and money to support Ronald McDonald House Charities. To date we’ve contributed over $1,000,000 to RHMC and their network of local RMHC Chapters. When you buy the Sprinkles of Life Stamp Set, we donate a portion of the proceeds to RMHC.

Sprinkles of Life_1

These cute projects were created by our home offices at Stampin’ Up! You can find these right in your catalog!  Be sure I will be sharing plenty of my own samples with you … I love this stamp set!

The Sprinkles of Life stamp set comes in “Photopolymer” form and will work great when you are layering your stamped images!  I love the Photopolyemer because they “really” stick to the blocks and you have a clear view for your stamping.

Make sure however that your ink pads are fully inked … that’s when they work the best and give you a beautiful crisp stamped image. If your not sure how to re-ink your ink pads, let me know, I can help you with that.

Here is a glimpse of a photopolymer stamp (for those of you who have not used these before). Notice you can create a beautiful layout of multiple stamps … create your own background!

stamps_04

I hope you love “Sprinkles of Life” as much as I do, the projects are just so cute!

Thanks for sharing a part of your day with me, hope to see you tomorrow for another new stamp set!

Have an awesome day!

Happy Birthday … Sneak Peek

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Happy 1st day of June!! Today is my last sneak peek because tomorrow you can begin ordering from the new catalog!!

Last week I shared a masculine birthday card using the “Bohemian” Designer Series paper and the “Happy Birthday Everyone” Hostess stamp set, so today you will get the feminine version, and a step up!

000_2287

To step it up a bit … I used the Labels Collection Framelit (only 2 days left to get this one) and cut out the center of my designer paper.  I did this so our birthday greeting would be highlighted … the focal point of the card.

I stamped the birthday greeting in the Island Indigo and the “to a good friend” in the new Delightful Dijon. The flowers are punched from the “Itty Bitty Accents” punch pack (available in new catty too) and topped them off with our beautiful pearls.

000_2285

As you can see, I used the Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop up the designer paper. To make it nice and sturdy, I glued the paper onto a pieced of the Very Vanilla that I had left over from cutting my card base. It adds so much more dimension to the card.

Such a pretty card to give to a friend, and a bouquet of flowers already attached!

Thank you for stopping by today!

Have a wonderful day ~
