Back with great news & cute cards!!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I know I’ve been away from my blog for a while but sometimes life just gets in the way, but I’m back with some exiting news and those cute alternatives to our June Paper Pumpkin!

Bonus Days are back! For every $50 you spend July 1–31 (before shipping and tax), you’ll get a $5 Bonus Days coupon that you can use August 1–31.

This was a big hit last year … and I know you’ll love it even more this year because you’ll also be earning a rewards points from me too!! CLICK HERE to view my rewards program.

Please let me know if you have any questions about this offer.  Now I’d like to share with you the alternative cards that I came up with from the June Paper Pumpkin …

When working with the kits … I like to stick to as many items from the kit as I can, the only thing I used outside of the kit on this card is the half sheet of white used for the base.

I just love these little watermelons … on the first card, I stamped all the images on the circle tag enclosed in the kit, then I cut it in half. The background is just the bag cut apart!

On the second card I used the card front for my pattern, the entire circle tag and a piece of the bag to create the banner.

I also used the cute little clothes pin that was used on the bag.  With just a little redesigning you can create these cute and simple cards.

I think the Paper Pumpkin kits are a fun and easy way to get into stamping! Comes with everything you need to create the cards and projects and you get to keep all the extra’s … the inks and the stamp set (yes, they are included in each kit as well).

Thanks for hanging in there with me, I’ll be back with more specials, class announcements and more card making projects for you!

Have a great day ~

A Perfect Gift …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I want to share with you a great way to share the fun of stamping with others.  I love being able to share the fun of stamping with others either in a class or by sending a card!

Stamping is a gift you can share as well, in the form of our new pre-paid Paper Pumpkin Subscriptions!  You  can get them for yourself or you can “gift” them.  How exciting would it be for your friend or family member to open the mail box and find a box of creativity!

000_0133

This is the perfect gift for someone just starting out too … why, because everything, including instructions are all in the kit.  The only thing they will need is some adhesive.

Great for College kids … they don’t have the room for all their crafting supplies, but this comes ready to create!     (Quote: Students are beginning to stress about projects, papers and tests, but taking 15 minutes to let loose your creativity, could help you do better to think and stay relaxed during these stressful times.)

Great for Mom … Fun cards & projects they can do with the kids without all the muss and fuss – just open the pretty orange box and begin!  Or this could be her little escape for a 1/2 hour to unwind and create!

Did you know that crafting is in the Top 10 Stress Releivers … it also helps with anxiety, depression, and can even help lower blood presser!

What about a Baby Shower gift?  She may already have all she needs for baby, but this will give her the perfect escape without having to bring out all her supplies!

Gift for teacher …. Why not, we have a 3-month subscription you could gift her during her time off to say Thank You!

Click on any of the options above and begin your gifting now.  I’m sure you can think of more people who deserve such an awesome gift!

I have a gift for you when you purchase a pre-paid subscription.   I also can link you to My Paper Pumpkin Pinterest Board so you can view more samples from current and upcoming Paper Pumpkin projects!

It makes a great gift for someone … or for yourself!  We all need to escape and relax … it’s good for our health!

Here is this months Paper Pumpkin Kit … I will be sharing more ideas on what else you can create with this kit after my Paper Pumpkin Party!

Thank you for stopping in today.

Dragonfly Best …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’m here to share with you my “alternative” project to the April Paper Pumpkin kit! Hope you all got your kit by now, because the card was created around the “FREE GIFT” that was included in this special kit… the Watercolor Pencils!!

With just a few strokes of the Watercolor Pencils in 3 of the 4 colors included in the kit, you can create a beautiful watercolor background.  They even included the paintbrush! Sweet 🙂  The watercolor paper was also included and cut to size!! All I did was mount it onto a piece of Melon Mambo and then onto the card base (also included).

I set that aside to dry and then cut my dragonfly from the “Detailed Dragonfly Framelits” from a piece of Basic Black cardstock in my scrap folder. Once the watercoloring was dry, I mounted my flower (pretty little embellishment included in the kit) added the dragonfly and stamped the greeting… Also included in the kit!!

So I didn’t have to add much to my card … just 2 pieces of cardstock to create this beautiful card. And at this time of year, I think it’s nice to give a little “Thank You” for all the hard work that some of our teachers do all year long.

Hope you enjoyed, and I hope you have a beautiful day.

Thank you for stopping back to see my “alternative” project from the April Paper Pumpkin kit!

Simply Sunday: Easter Gifting Ideas

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

How are you on this fine day? I’m hoping happy and healthy!

Today I’ve got some fun projects for you and a card! Yesterday I shared the March 2017 Paper Pumpkin with you … today I’m sharing alternative projects. If you haven’t received this kit, or are not a Paper Pumpkin subscriber yet, you can sign up at any time, and when you do, you can purchase “past” kits!

I will tell you this, if you purchase the 3 month subscription by March 31st, you will save $4 and receive a FREE Sale-a-bration item!!  Make sure you activate your subscription before April 10th because we’re all excited that Sara Douglass – Stampin’ Up!s CEO has created the April 2017 kit!!

Ok … let’s get on with the goodies! Here I wanted to show you “my” little bunny as followed by kit instructions. These are so easy … so fun and too cute! As soon as they add the refill kit – I’m ordering more so my grandkids and I can make these up!

Here is a photo of all my projects put together! Did you know that the little 3 x 3 note cards fit nicely into the little bag … How cute is that!! A little gift bag with the little bunny cards.  You could make these into “Thank You” cards and give to the host of your Easter dinner. What a cute little gift.

Next, I know many of my customer love their “full size” cards … so here is my alternative to the kit, a full sized card.  The cute stamps used to create that bag … come in this kit! I love the little eggs and the “I’m glad your my friend can be used all year long!

I used the inside bunny ears to create a flower! These pieces are die-cut and already have the adhesive on them so they are super simple to create with.

The flower is adhered to the front of the gift card … the back half is tucked away so I can use that on another card. This section is popped up from the card front.  I used a “splatter” stamp to add a little color to the vanilla and then added a banner greeting. I cut the little bunny tail in half and glued it to the center of my flower.

I must say, this was a very fun kit to play with! If you want to try out Paper Pumpkin, now is a good time.  Just click on the links below for more information or to begin your purchase, or you can contact me and I will help you out.

Thank you so much for spending a part of your Sunday with me.

Simply Sunday: Birthday Bash

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’m going to share 2 birthday cards. One is an invitation and the second a birthday card. Both of these projects are so quick and simple to make … I used the February Paper Pumpkin to make these.

Let’s start with the invitation … the “invite” portion is already pre-printed for you, and there are 12 of these invite pieces in the kit. I matted the invitation with a piece cut from one of the patterned cardstock pieces that are in the kit. You can get 2 pieces this size from the sheet and still have some left over.

000_4121

I wanted a little texture on the card so I embossed the Night of Navy with the “Simply Falling” embossing folder and used dimensionals to pop it up.

Our second card is for the birthday person.  Again I used the “Simply Falling” embossing folder, I didn’t want to add much more to my card, I wanted to mainly use the supplies in the kit.

000_4117

Not a Paper Pumpkin subscriber yet? Not to worry … you can easily recreate this card with some designer series paper.  I used the left over glimmer paper from the kits flames, and cut my flames using the leaf from the “Stylish Stems” framelits. There is even a smaller leave die you could use … they make really good flames for our candles.

I stamped the greeting in Flirty Flamingo ink that was included in the kit.  They sent use two spots this time … I save them all and used them when I need to edge a stamp with a different color, or when I’m using small stamps or alphabets.  They are really handy to have around.

It’s fun and easy to create with Paper Pumpkin, plus it’s on sale right now.  If you purchase the 3-month subscription, you can also chose a FREE Sale-a-bration item.

Thank you so much for sharing a part of your day with me.

Have a Happy Sunday!

TODAY’S STAMPIN’ SUPPLY LIST …

Need an Alternative?

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’d like to share with you some alternative projects created from the February Paper Pumpkin kit. It’s always fun to see what else you can do with the original items in the kit. I’m sharing from the Stampin’ Up! Get Inspired Blog post …

This kit will help you effortlessly plan the perfect birthday surprise for someone you love. Whether you’re sending wishes their way in a card, creating party invitations, or giving a gift card, the pull tab candle cards will help you pull it off with flare!

144332G

And since the kit name is Many Happy Birthdays, here are some more ideas to keep the flame of creativity burning bright. First, using just the kit components, you could turn the many happy birthdays cards into mini happy birthday cards by making a set of tiny cards.

February_PP_alt1

Next, transform the pull-tab pocket card into a literal pocket card. Just assemble the card base, trim the bottom, snip the end corners at an angle, and add some adhesive at the bottom to seal it shut.

February_PP_alt_2

As always, hang onto that stamp set so you can use it on future projects—like this card. The geometric line images create simple background in any color scheme.

This kit is on fire! Don’t let the fun burn out—order many more refills today, while supplies last.

The Many Happy Birthdays Kit is just in time to celebrate our fourth birthday in March! We’ve come a long way and look FOUR-ward to many happy birthdays with our Paper Pumpkin peeps.

TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTED PRODUCT LIST …

Simply Sunday: Pull out the Paper Pumpkin

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Let me say “there is nothing easier than your Paper Pumpkin kits”.  Today I’m here to share some cute alternative projects that I made using the 2017 January Paper Pumpkin kit.

The first project I have to share is similar to the little Hostess Gift that I gave to Kathie for hosting an at home Stampin’ Party. I like to spoil my hostesses because they introduce me to some awesome people and we get to stamp!

000_4020

This cute gift box was easy to create … Simply use a punch, I used the heart punch, secure a piece of window sheet on the inside to create a window and so the treats don’t fall out. The little white heart is included in the kit as is the heart stamp that I used to put a little color around the edge of my heart, before stamping the greeting (also included in the kit).

The only thing that I added to my gift box that are not included in the kit was the “heart” from the Metallic embellishments.  It really ties all the gold together and looks cute!

My second project is a card.  Super simple … the base is Whisper White and the front is Blushing Bride – it matched the stripped vellum banner that came in the kit.  I used the round Metallic embellishments this time to anchor my banner. I created a background by stamping hearts all over the front… You could “step it up” and emboss the front with the “Happy Heart” embossing folder, that will add more texture.

000_4021

Next, I used a white heart from the kit but this time I used VersaMark to stamp on the heart and embossed it with Gold – coordinating the gold embossing on the banner (it comes that way in the kit)

The hardest part of creating this card was “where” to place the heart … by the banner, or near the bottom!  Which do you like better?

000_4016

Both of these cute projects were created in just a few minutes. Don’t forget, you can always just make your Paper Pumpkin kit per the instructions … I just want you to know there are many other options out there for you.  If you order your Paper Pumpkin before the 10th of the month … You will receive that month’s kit.

Hope you enjoyed today’s projects, and please let me know which way you like the card best.
