November Paper Pumpkin: Mistletoe and Holly

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Happy Thanksgiving to you all. I am THANKFUL for all of my stampin’ friends and blog followers … you inspire me to keep creating the very best.

Today I’m going to share with you a post from our Paper Pumpkin team … and some really cute projects you can do with your kit.

The holiday season is here! And you know what that means, it’s time to deck the halls, trim the tree, and as Ol’ Blue Eyes, Frank Sinatra sang so beautifully, “Oh, by gosh, by golly. It’s time for mistletoe and holly.” And we couldn’t be more excited to haul out the holly! Our November kit, Mistletoe and Holly, is full of fun surprises to help you spread some holiday cheer.

The kit includes supplies for 10 cards and envelopes, a Cherry Cobbler Classic Stampin’ Spot, and an amazing stamp set that you’ll want to use on all your projects this season.

PaperPumpkin_November_KitContents_Ink

It’s a beautiful kit for sure! And what’s even more beautiful is the fact that you can get creative and change the kit up. Try using just the kit contents to create alternative projects like this cute card.

Misstle Toe And Holly-88

With just a few extra supplies, turn one card base into a tiny treat bag. Add some sparkle with Gold Basic Metal Buttons, Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder, and Gold Glimmer Paper.

Misstle Toe And Holly-91

Don’t worry: the fun doesn’t stop when your supplies run out. Keep creating with the stamp set and your other Stampin’ Up! products, like Holidays Fancy Foil Designer Vellum and the Winter Wonderland Embellishments.

Misstle Toe And Holly-89

Change the color scheme add some Season of Cheer Designer Washi Tape and silver confetti stars to step up the glamour!

What do you love most about this time of year and what do you love most about this kit? Don’t forget, current subscribers can get a refill kit (while supplies last).

Thanks so much for taking time out of your holiday to visit my blog. I wish you the very best.

Blessings to you and your family ~

Merry & Bright …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Yesterday I promised to share a design of my own, created with the new November Paper Pumpkin. This kit is so fun to play with, I can’t wait to show you my card.

As you know, I try to stay very close to the supplies in the kit … the only outside products I used is the Old Olive Bakers Twine and the Tree Punch (You all have those already … right). Oh yes, and I did use the Star Border Punch as well …

000_2873

I love the way this turned out … it’s so cute!! I can’t wait until the kits go into the “Past Kits” section and I can order the refill kits … I just may use these for my Christmas Cards!

So simple to create, I just punched out the tree out of the Cherry Cobbler Cardstock included in the kit, tied a bow on the top with the bakers twine and popped it up with the dimensionals that are included in the kit.

Why don’t you take a look at Paper Pumpkin  Check it out here.  It’s no hassle and if you want to take a break you just stop your subscription, then start it up again.

000_2876

Of course I had to add the holly … it adds a christmassy (is that a word?) touch to the card, and the font for the “merry & bright” works great with this layout.

I punched the star from the Star Border punch out of the Silver Glimmer Paper and then added a rhinestone to top my tree.

If you’d like to start a paper pumpkin subscription, take a look at these…

Just one more …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have just one more sample from the October Paper Pumpkin kit.  How did you like yesterday’s cute little gift card? I punched out the circle for the card I had originally planned to make, then that one just popped in my head!

So today you’ll see the card I created with the punches! I punched a 2-1/2″ circle from the leaf card and then used the leftover watercolor card front for all the other punches…. don’t want to waste anything!!

000_2728

I used the dimensionals to create a lot of dimension to the card … plus the banner is popped up too. I used the 2-1/2″, 1-1/4″, 1″ and 1/2″ punches to created all the different sizes, and placed them randomly around my focal point … the banner greeting.

Then of course … I’ve got to add a little bling, bling! It really did add a nice finishing touch to the card.

Oh yes … I forgot to mention that each of these sets of cards have envelopes included.

Thanks for checking in with me today, I will be back tomorrow with my “Simply Sunday” series.

Have a great day!

SALE ENDS TODAY plus More Paper Pumpkin!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have a really cute little project to share with you. Before I begin I want to remind you that today is the last day to save 15% on stamp sets!

Demo_15-Stamps_Ecard3_10.19.2015_NA

I started making one card but ended up using the left overs to create today’s card!! Tomorrow I will post the original card I had made for you.

First let me say besides the cute stamps in this months Paper Pumpkin kit, I really like printed cardstock included, so as I punched out a 2-1/2 circle out of the leaves pattern, this idea came into my head …

000_2721

It turned out so cute, and what a great way to say “Thanks” to a friend. I popped the entire piece because I wanted to create a dimensional focal point. The little flower was stamped on the leftover piece of watercolor paper that I used yesterday, and was also popped up with the dimensionals included in the kit.

000_2713

The greeting is one of the 13 stamps included … and was stamped directly onto the card front. I then colored the stamen (yes … I double checked to make sure I called the little flower parts the right thing – lol) and added a rhinestone which I also colored (Use a Sharpie or a Blender pen is you still have yours).

Don’t have this months Paper Pumpkin …  don’t worry. Recreate this by using a 6″ x 3″ piece of cardstock – fold in half. Cut a 3″ x 3″ piece of Designer Paper of your choice and punch a 2-1/2″ circle out of the center.  Stamp any of the flowers you may have … add a greeting and your done.

Witches Happy Haunting …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I hope you all got to enjoy the beautiful weekend, we were blessed with a fabulous fall day! I love this time of year.

Yesterday I used the large stripes from the “Timeless Elegance” designer paper, and today I’m going to highlight the lace pattern. Who better to wear lace than a witch! I stamped her hat in Elegant Eggplant and heat embossed it with the Iridescent Ice emboss powder.

hat-2

Her hat … oh yes, that came from the Howl-o-ween Bundle; The Howl-o-ween Treats stamp set and Boo to You Framelits Dies. It’s so cute and so much fun to play with. To create the focal point, I placed the hat on a silver 2-1/2″ circle.

I love to use purple, green and orange for Halloween so my color choices for today’s card was Elegant Eggplant, Pear Pizzazz, Pumpkin Pie which I used for my tags and base for the card. I finished my edges with the Triple Banner Punch … it can really make a banner from any size of cardstock, not just the 3 that are slotted for!

hat-1

As for my “Happy Haunting” greeting … I took that from my September Paper Pumpkin stamp set. Paper Pumpkin has some awesome “exclusive” stamps! It is really worth trying it out at least. CLICK HERE.

I hope my card inspired you to use your designer papers for any type of project … it’s always more fun to think outside the box!

Thank you for stopping by today ~

Have a marvelous Monday!

Sweet, Sweet Candy …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Happy Weekend to you! Many of you know besides being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, a blogger, Mom of 3, grandma of 11 and great-grandma of one … I also manage the candy store in my hometown.

So, what do you think I thought of when I say that little candy stamp in this months Paper Pumpkin kit?

Yep … a sweet but simple card featuring the candy! I used it to create the background …

000_2600

I wanted plenty of color so I chose the Daffodil Delight, Crisp Cucumber, Watermelon Wonder and Wisteria Wonder and stamped that little candy stamp all over!

Then I chose the “You’re So Sweet” as my greeting and stamped it in Watermelon… that is when I decided to create a banner to highlight the greeting. For a bit more pop of color I added the Daffodil Delight and Crisp Cucumber behind it. (Subliminal message: Green and Gold)

The entire card front was matted with the Watermelon Wonder to make the greeting stand out and then that was layered onto the Whisper White background.

000_2602

Cute & fun card for any occasion … birthday, sweet sixteen or just because!

Thank you for joining me today ~

I hope your day is filled with fun and lots of color!

Truly Grateful for Autumn …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Yesterday marked the first day of autumn … my favorite season. I love the colors, the warm days and cool night, sweaters, caramel apples and the smell of the leaves. Yup, I love it all.

Today I promised an alternative idea for your Paper Pumpkin kit. Just a little reminder of the stamp set that comes with the kit …

000_2584

I had so many ideas popping into my head with this stamp set. I will share one today, another at a later date, but the rest are reserved for my Paper Pumpkin subscribers … their treat for choosing me as their Paper Pumpkin demonstrator.

You may join my Paper Pumpkin Pals … HERE. Plus, you’ll be helping out Breast Cancer and the same time you treat yourself to Paper Pumpkin.

In honor of the season, I chose the leaves and did the Rock -n- Roll technique – that is why some are two different colors …

000_2588

The Rock-n-Roll technique is very simple … Ink up your image in the lighter of the two colors, and then simply roll the very edges of the image into the darker color ink. Since these were so very small, I just kind of tapped the very edge onto the ink pad instead of “rolling” the image around.

I thought of adding a texture to the background but I really loved the simplicity of this card … it speaks volumes. Sometimes less is more.

000_2590

Hope you enjoyed today’s alternative project … stop back tomorrow, I have some more “spooky” for you! My sister teases me that not everyone loves Halloween as much as I do .. I know, some of you like it more!! lol

Thank you for sharing a part of your day with me, see you tomorrow!

Something Bewitching for You!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

How did you like those weekly deals yesterday?  Awesome right!

Well today I something bewitching for you. Have you seen the September Paper Pumpkin kit yet?

Watch to see how fun and simple this kit is to put together. Wonder what the surprise will be next month? Learn more / Sign up Here!

Those treat filled witches brooms are so stinkin’ cute! I love opening my Paper Pumpkin each month, and making the projects inside is always fun, but what I really love is the fact that we get an exclusive stamp set each month! And the cute little “spot” (mini stamp pad) is like the cherry on top!

000_2584

Did you know that each month they send a different color “spot” ink pad? These are what I take with me when I take my stampin’ to go … much lighter and take up less room than the big pads do.

I also want to remind you of our current promotion …

To show our support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we’re going PINK . . . or at least our October boxes are! And because we know our subscribers want to share the love too, we will be making a donation on their behalf to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).

Stampin’ Up! will donate

  • $1 for every active Paper Pumpkin subscriber.
  • Plus, an additional $1 for every new subscriber.

Together, we will make a difference!

As a special perk for Paper Pumpkin subscribers, Stampin’ Up! offers a selection of past kits and refill kits for purchase, while supplies last. We just added new kits to the offering.

I’d like to invite you back tomorrow to check out what I came up with using the cute stamps inside this months Paper Pumpkin!

Till then … Have a great day!

More Treat Bag Fun for You!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

As promised, today I have a treat bag with a window! Let’s have a little fun here today … I’m using the  Treat Bag Thinlit and Happy Haunting Designer paper. I’ve chosen a different pattern of paper today so I can show you that this is not just for Halloween.

For those of you who know me well, you know I love Star’s!! Here they are in full force, and to top it off … our thinlit die has a star in it too! I used it to cut out my window and make another star to bring in the orange color from the inside of the bag (reverse side of paper).

000_2556

You simply place the star or other shape that you would like to use to create a window in the center of the largest die. If you want to fill your treat bag with smaller goodies, simply adhere a window sheet inside before assembling your treat bag. (Too hard to do once it’s all put together).

So … if you want to treat someone that “rocks” with a fun little gift, what would you give them? Why “POP ROCKS” of course.  So clever (or fun) … Pop Rocks + Star paper = Rock Star!

000_2560

What a quick and simple way to brighten someones day! Hope you enjoyed!

I also have something special to share with you …
