Let’s start at the left side and work our way to the right. Do you see the cute little Acorn stamp set? Isn’t it adorable? I love it, and what I love even more … BUNDLE!! Use your designer papers, here you see the brilliant Bohemian designer paper – Today I kept it a bit subdued but you could go really bold with one or more of the other patterns.

Just for you ….

Yesterday I shared a sneak peak at one of our Halloween stamp sets and one of the things I spoke of was the “layout” of the card.

Here is the card I shared with you yesterday …

Here is today’s card with the same layout, just a new designer paper and stamp set!

I chose Pretty Petals designer series paper stack and teamed it up with the “Watercolor Words” stamp set. I stamped the greeting in Old Olive on Very Vanilla and punched it out using the 2-1/2″ Circle Punch. I followed up by punching out an Old Olive circle with the 1-3/4″ punch.

Then I highlighted the flowers by punching them out and adding a Calypso Coral mat behind it.  The layout is so fun and easy to use … think kids cards, Christmas, Birthday … anything really!

Simply Sunday: Howl-o-ween Sneak Peak!

Yesterday I told you that I would share a cute card created with the Howl-o-ween stamp set that I won at Convention. It is a quick and easy card and they layout works for anything!

I started with my Howl-o-ween stamp set and teamed it up with the “Cherry on Top” designer series paper stack. I chose the little candies … how appropriate

for Trick-or-Treat! I simply stamped the greeting on Crushed Curry and punched it out using the 2-1/2″ Circle Punch. I followed up by punching out a black circle with the 1-3/4″ punch.

For the highlight … I punched out a piece of the designer paper and covered it with Crystal Effects and Dazzling Diamonds!! It just adds a sweet touch of sparkle to the card.

Just think of all the different type of cards you can create using this layout… three simple punches, some pretty paper and a greeting!

Halloween Sneak Peek …

Yay … the weekend is here!! I hope you have something fun planned, or just a nice relaxing weekend sounds good too!

Today I want to take you along for a stampin’ session at Convention! They’ve opened the pages to the new Holiday catalog and kicked-off the excitement with one of my favorite holidays … Halloween!

Brandi Barnard was our presenter for this portion of our Main Stage presentation. She shared a few Halloween pictures of her family and loves Halloween too … can’t you tell!

She introduced the new “Pillow Box” die to us … Oh, not just any pillow box, but a “square” one!! And it’s big enough to hold an entire York Peppermint Pattie! YUM 🙂  And look at the cute accessories included to make projects for any occasion, plus you can have a window!

She used the new Halloween designer paper in the Holiday catalog … It has STARS!!

WOW… do you see the “Black Glimmer Paper”!!?!! OMG, OMG, OMG … I almost fainted!

Then she made a little “bat box” to put her treats in!  It’s soooo cute. Just think of all the cute gifts you could make with this new Pillow Box.  I can’t wait to get my hands on those dies!

When Brandi was done with her presentation she announced …

We all get different colored wrist bands when we arrive at Convention and I had “Crushed Curry”.  To win the Prize Patrol you need to have the color that is called! And guess who won the first Prize Patrol? 

That’s right … CRUSHED CURRY!! Brenda and I both won ….

Samples & Tips from the Stampin’ Up! Convention …

Today I’d like to share with you some cute cards and tips that Stampin’ Up! shared with us at Convention.  One of my favorite parts of convention is the main stage presentations where the home office demonstrates new products and techniques ….

These cute 2 x 2 note cards were created with the “Watercolor Wishes” kit. Because this stamp set is part of the kit, they demonstrated this cute project as another fabulous way to use the stamps!

You’ll just cute the cardstock into 2″ x 4″ strips and fold in half.  She used one of my favorite paper stacks – Pretty Petals to create the envelopes and embellish with hearts!! The sweet little heart comes from the “Itty Bitty Accents” Punch Pack.

She also showed us how to make the envelopes for our little note cards! I love that she shared this board with us … now I can share it with you! Notice she used the punch board to trim the edges of the card 🙂

Convention is always a great time … learning how to use the products in more than one way, meeting up with friends from all over the country that you have made over the years, and making new friends!

Well … life returns to normal today! Back home and back to work, but before all that, I want to take you along for the ride also known as Convention ….

I can’t waste a moment to enjoy the trip to Salt Lake City – here is a beautiful view from the plane of the Grand Canyon …

I catch the wing in the photo when I can so my grandkids believe that I’m really flying in one of those big airplanes. But we do have to come down, and when we do … we enjoy ourselves.

After dinner (At the Cheesecake Factory!) we were strolling through the outside mall area and ran into Stampin’ Up! staff who had goodies if you were willing to play a few games! We (Eileen, Debi, myself and Brenda) and went back to our rooms with fun Stampin’ Up! product.

I arrived home from Convention “early” this morning, thus the late post. We had a wonderful time, spent Sunday hangin’ with some wonderful ladies (and fellow demonstrators) and Monday in the Genealogy library… I found my 5X great grandmother!

Sneak Peaks from Convention!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Convention may be over but the fun will soon begin … with you that is!! I’m still in Salt Lake City and I have already begun planning so fascinating stamping events for you!

STAMPIN’ UP! CONVENTION …

I had a wonderful time at convention this year! Part of being here is “swapping” and here are 2 of my “Star’s by Design” team members Brenda & Debi. They both went home with some beautiful swaps!

Convention update…

Hello Stamping Friends,

I want to share so much with you today but I’m having connection problems with my new lap top here at Convention… I’m actually posting from my phone!!! Who knew!

I can tell you that I won Prize Patrol… a fun new stamp set from the upcoming Holiday Catalog!!!
