Ho Ho Ho … Look at the Snow!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

They say third time is a charm, so today is my third and last (for now) in my series of cards from the Trimming the Town Suite Collection. Today I’ll be using the dies from the bundle with focus on the Trimming the Town designer paper.

Our back ground is Pool Party and Snow … well, Whisper White cut into hills of fluffy layers of snow.

The dies not only cut out the stamped images but they also cut the house images on your designer paper … now that is what I call extra value.

I have another great tip that will bring even more value to your bundle … when cutting out the images on your designer paper (yes, you can cut out the trees too!) Don’t forget to cut the partial images as well … this is what I used, and hid them behind the snow!!

With our partial buildings and trees deep in the snow banks, I couldn’t help but add those sweet little Adhesive-backed Snowflakes.

This next picture shows a spattering of the “Wink of Stella” … this is done by tapping it onto a marker or such…

Just a reminder ….

When you purchase the Coming Home Stamp set individually or as part of the bundle or suite … $3 will be donated to charities devoted to adoption, foster care, and infertility. You can help make a difference in the lives of those affected.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Have a great day ~

From My Home to Yours …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today is the second in my series of cards from the Trimming the Town Suite Collection. Today I’ll be using the dies from the bundle along with the designer paper.

The Trimming the Town designer series paper is the backdrop to the card … with the forest of trees and a sprinkling of snow, it’s the perfect setting for my cabin.

I stamped my cabin on Whisper White with Tuxedo Black Momento ink and then colored it with the Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends. I also used the Real Red for the Door and So Saffron for the Windows.

The snow was cut from the die included in the Coming Home Bundle… The greeting comes from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set.

The “Warm Wishes” greeting fits perfectly in this serene setting. I have fallin’ in love with this bundle… besides being an amazing bundle/suite, you can make a difference with the purchase of the set …

When you purchase the Coming Home Stamp set individually or as part of the bundle or suite … $3 will be donated to charities devoted to adoption, foster care, and infertility. You can help make a difference in the lives of those affected.

Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to visit me and learn about this opportunity to help others. Please let me know if you have any questions …. I am available to help.

Have yourself a wonderful day ~

Christmas Town …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I would like to share with you a very special suite, and one that I showcased last weekend at my Holiday Catalog Virtual Retreat Party. Over the next couple days I will share some that will give you a glimpse into this versatile suite …

Capture the feel of a hometown holiday with the whimsical imagery and coordinating trimmings in the Trimming the Town Suite Collection.

The Trimming the Town Suite Collection includes:

  • Coming Home Photopolymer Stamp Set (10% off)
  • Home Together Dies (10% off)
  • Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper
  • All the Trimmings Embellishments
  • All the Trimmings Ribbon Combo Pack

Product colors: Early Espresso, Misty Moonlight, Old Olive, Pool Party, Poppy Parade, Whisper White

This Christmas card features two patterns from this heartwarming designer paper and since the bottom design featured holiday wishes from all over the world … well, I thought I would add the “world”. I put a piece of Pool Party behind the Gold Foil die cut to create a more worldly effect!

The greeting was stamped from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set and die cut with the Stitched Rectangle dies. All the pieces were brought together with the pretty “All the Trimmings” Olive ribbon, edged in gold.

Whether you purchase the Coming Home Stamp Set individually or as a part of a bundle or suite collection, $3** will be donated to charities devoted to adoption, foster care, and infertility. You will be making a difference in the lives of those who benefit from these charities.

Wednesday Wow: Poinsettia Petals Card

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I hope you enjoyed the video yesterday, as I’m back today with the stunning card featured in the video. My attendee’s were so excited with the Brightly Gleaming Specialty paper from that product showcase that I carried it into the Poinsettia Petals showcase … the results were nothing short of amazing!!

We’ll begin with our card base … Pretty Peacock which coordinates with our Brightly Gleaming Specialty Paper; enhanced with a mat of Copper Foil.

The focal point of our card is the stunning poinsettia embossed and cut with the specialty dies included in the Poinsettia Petals Bundle! I also hope you caught my tip on how to keep your dies aligned (it’s in the video).

It’s easy to see the beautiful texture and dimension these dies can created. And we finished off our poinsettia by adorning the center with the “Elegant Faceted Gems”… they are more stunning in person as they have a champagne color to them which really complements the Copper Foil Poinsettia.

Our poinsettia sits upon a piece of Very Vanilla cut from the Tasteful Labels dies and stamped in Pretty Peacock. Don’t ever be afraid of mixing and matching your bundles … they really can enhance your stamping experience.

For those of you who missed the LIVE presentation, don’t fret … I will be hosting another “All Day Stamp Party” on November 28th, 2020 – Small Business Saturday! I will have LIVE demonstrations, deals, prizes and a full day of fun!!

Thank you for joining me today,

Have a great day!

Christmas Wishes …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

We made it through Monday!! I have a beautiful card to share with you that I have created while working on my Holiday Catalog Virtual Retreat Party. Today’s card features the Arrange a Wreath Bundle and Toile Christmas stamp set.

Beautiful layers of Seaside Spray and Whisper White cardstock are the base colors for the card. To create a “wintery” look, I used the Old World Paper 3-D embossing folder and added a touch of Wink of Stella onto the raised areas.

My wreath pieces were cut in Seaside Spray, Silver Foil and Whisper White … these were layered together and secured with the Tombo Liquid Glue. The Seaside Spray leaves have Wink of Stella on them and then they were all popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals to create more depth to the card.

I stamped the greeting which comes from the Toile Christmas and cut it out with the Christmas Cardinal dies. The banner has Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back for a lift over the wreath. To complete the card I added Adhesive Backed Snowflakes.

So what do you think about todays card? I’m hoping you enjoyed it … there will be a “Special” announced on during my Holiday Catalog Party for the Arrange a Wreath Bundle …. this will include the PDF / Full Color instructions to create 4 beautiful All Season Cards!

If you would like to join in on the FUN … Copy this link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1497489893793307/   and put it in the Search Box … then request to be a member! 🙂 I would love to have you join us! It’s going to be a party!!

Don’t forget to meet me on my Linda’s Stampin’ Escape for a LIVE presentation for my Technique Tuesday event.

Thank you for stopping by, enjoy the rest of your day!

Not to early for Christmas … Cards!!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I am sharing cards I created with the Itty Bitty Christmas and Christmas Layers Dies, and a couple cards from Stampin’ Up!  It is amazing how different each card turned out … I wanted to show the different elements of the stamp set and dies to demonstrate how versatile this pair is.

The first card is bursting with holiday flair and is decked out in gold.  The floral pattern really highlights the greeting and ties in the gold throughout the card so nicely. The base is Shaded Spruce and the designer paper here is now retired but you could substitute the “Tis the Season” Designer Series paper … it has the pretty plaids too.

Here is another sample that highlights the floral dies cuts … I love these, they actually look more like a metal embellishment than a die cut piece of cardstock!! They also used the die cut image to create a fun background on this card.

My second card is so different from the first in that we have created our own “Shimmer” paper by spritzing the beautiful Seaside Spray from our 2019 – 2021 In Color collection.  For a little more sparkle, the snowflakes are cut from the Sparkle Shimmer Paper! But wait … there is one more layer of sparkle when I added the Rhinestones to the snowflakes.

My last card of the three is just simply elegant and done with White and Silver … and yes, graced with a touch of glitter. Instead of die cutting the image and adhering it to the base as I did in the first card, I actually cut it out of the front and used it to impose a second layer to the card… stunning.

I have another samples the highlights the foliage die …

If I didn’t tell you these cards were from the same stamp set and dies … you might not know that they were!!

Thanks for checking in with me today … meet you back here tomorrow for some more samples.

Have some fun today!

Christmas Means More

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Yesterday I shared the “I Believe” card (shown below) and today I’d like to share another card that I made during World Cardmaking Day using the same simple design.

I began with a Whisper White card base and 4″ x 6″ sheet of the Heartwarming Hugs Designer paper. I scored the designer paper at 5-1/4″ and folded the pretty polka dot side over onto the top of my plaid paper… No cutting!

Instead of using a piece of cardstock, I used another piece of the Heartwarming Hugs designer paper …

These fun designer papers look so great together and add such a fun core to the card. I’ve added the Silver Edge Ribbon to add a touch of bling to the card.

The focal point of my card is the Christmas Means More stamp set …

This is such a fun stamp set and really works well with any of our Holiday Designer Papers.

I did not get my video made yesterday but I will share it with you as soon as it’s done… and I’ll demonstrate how easy the cutting and embellishing the card is.

Thanks for coming back today … I’ll be back tomorrow this another pretty card.

Simply Sunday: Designer Paper Fun

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I’d like to share a sweet -n- simple card that I made during World Cardmaking Day last weekend. It’s simple design makes it easy to create multiple cards … and with Christmas coming, that’s a good thing!

I began with a Whisper White card base and 4″ x 6″ sheet of the Heartwarming Hugs Designer paper. I scored the designer paper at 5-1/4″ and folded the pretty polka dot side over onto the top of my plaid paper… No cutting!

I found a piece of scrap in Real Red so I used the Wrapped in Texture embossing folder with the dots… I then added the Tulle Polka Dot Ribbon … it adds some fun and dimension to the card.

I used the Pine Tree Punch to punch out my Christmas tree … this piece was “Heat Embossed” with clear embossing powder from a demonstration I did LIVE for my Technique Tuesday on Facebook. Don’t want to waste anything and with the embossed tree, it really highlighted the designer paper on my card.

The greeting comes from the Christmas Means More stamp set. This stamp set was a must have on my Wish List. I BELIEVE … do you?

I hope you enjoyed today’s Simply Sunday card, I will be demonstrating this SIMPLE cardmaking technique tomorrow with yet another version of this card.

Thank you for joining me this Sunday, and I look forward to hanging out with you tomorrow.

A World of Good …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

First and foremost I want to send a BIG THANK YOU to all of you who joined me yesterday for my All Day “Virtual” World Cardmaking Event … I had so much fun. The best part were the cards that we made together, and I’m here to share those with all today.

You can’t do World Cardmaking Day without using the World of Good Suite …

You will simply fall in love with this beautiful suite … it’s perfect for scrapbooking your travels and making beautiful cards! We stepped out of the box yesterday and created Christmas cards with this amazing suite. Let’s begin with the “Gold” card …

We began with the beautiful World of Good Specialty Designer Series paper … this is part of the entire suite or can be purchased along with the bundle (but you’re going to want it all!) It’s hard to see but the designer paper has a Gold Foil mat behind it.

Next, we sponged Balmy Blue and Pear Pizzazz onto Whisper White Cardstock and die cut with the detailed globe die. These were then glued onto Gold Foil paper to tie in the gold in the World of Good Specialty Designer Series paper.

Once we attached our “world” we wanted to make them look like Christmas Ornaments so we added bows, using the Old Olive ribbon from the”All the Trimmings” Ribbon Combo pack. This added a cute touch to the card and gave us the “ornament” look we were going for.

Next up… our greeting which comes from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set. I embossed it with Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of scrap paper that was previously watercolored from my Technique Tuesday LIVE on Facebook. My stampin’ friends and I were very happy with the way this turned out, so we moved onto our next card ….

We started this card with our globes … Stamped with Tuxedo Black Momento Ink and sponged with Balmy Blue and Pear Pizzazz. Then they were die cut with the coordinating dies from the bundle. Wink of Stella was added on the sponged areas … and then they were embossed with Clear Embossing powder … WOW!!

For the backgound we choose the Old World Paper embossing folder …

The Old World Paper embossing folder is included in the product “suite” … I will have the suite and the bundle along with the other products listed below for you. During our stamping session, I let the attendees of my presentation pick out the background color … the winner was Old Olive …

I had to share this angle with you so you could see that the Wink of Stella shows through beautifully with the clear embossing … it also makes the black stand out! They are stunning! To keep with the ornament them, I used the Black Bakers Twine that was included with the September 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit!

The greeting comes from Itty Bitty Christmas and was die cut using the cirlcle dies. The little banner behind it was hand cut and used to pop the greeting.

I hope you enjoyed these two beautiful cards the I created with the help of my stampin’ friends on World Cardmaking Day. It was a blast!!

Thank you for joining me today, I hope you have a beautiful day ~

Simply Sunday: Quilt Pattern Card

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today’s card is fun and easy to create and it’s done with our stunning designer series paper. Yesterday I talked about layouts and patterns, and how we can utilize them to help us create …

Well, I had saved a “Quilt” piece on my Pinterest page and was surprised to see how many times this simple design had been saved. I saved it as inspiration for a card …

Simple … right? But there is something about this simple pattern that catches your eye. Is it the colors or the pattern, not sure but I’ve taken the pattern and used it for today’s card.

I decided I wanted to make a Christmas card with the beautiful Heartwarming Hugs designer series paper ….

My designer paper strips are cut 4″ x 1″ and matted the woven pieces onto a 4″ x 4″ block. Now I know that Quilters have cut these into different sizes but it is “Simply Sunday”! You really have to respect the artistry and work that goes into a quilt.

I used my grid paper (available in catalog) to help me align my designer paper strips. Just added a touch of glue within the 1″ block and adhered my strip. The glue allows you a little more movement.

Once you have woven the pieces together and glued the ends down, you can finish gluing the pieces down. I then attached the entire 4″ x 4″ piece onto a piece of Whisper White measuring 4″ x 5-1/4.

The greeting was stamped with Mossy Meadow ink … it came from the “Light Me Home” stamp set. I finished off my card with a bow created with the Real Red Sheer ribbon … oh my, this ribbon is beautiful, and comes from the Poinsettia Place suite.

With a little help from your grid paper, this sweet Christmas card is easy to make and reflects the old age craft of Quilting. Use any pretty paper and you could create cards for all Occasions!

Thank you for sharing a part of your Sunday with me. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Returning Favorite … Perfectly Plaid

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I’d like to share card samples from a “Returning Favorite” stamp set / bundle … I shared “Christmas Gleaming” earlier this week, now lets take a look at the “Perfectly Plaid” stamp set and coordinting “Tree” Punch!

This sweet card was created with the Perfectly Plaid stamp set and coordinating Tree Punch … You can find the stamp set on page 60 of our Annual Catalog. The picture doesn’t show the “Blackberry Bliss” as good as I would like, it is a pretty card!

This card was created with a layering of color and is so stunning. The designer paper was cut down into 4 (four) 1-3/4″ x 1-3/4″ and adhered to a 4″ x 4″ piece of Gold Foil. The tree was also punched out of the Gold and embossed.

The Vellum cardstock was placed underneath the gold tree to highlight it and the greeting. Our color pallet for this card was Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce … perfect for the holidays.

Oh my … this card was a quickie I made with the left over foil that I punched the tree out from the last card. Here’s a little tid bit of information … This is one of my most “Pinned” Christmas cards on Pinterst! Who knew … guess you like simple!!

I made this card several weeks ago to showcase the New “Flowers for Every Season” card packs found on page 154 of our Annual Catalog. It also highlights the 6 x 6 In-Color Designer paper.

I have one more to show you …..

I made these cute little Gift Tags and tucked them into the Gold Pizza Box (that coordinates with our tags) for my Stamping Retreat attendee’s last fall. This little beauty gifts twice … once they used up the tags, they could used the box to share with another.

Thank you for walking down memory lane with me today. The cards can go from quick -n- easy to fun with plaid to elegance in gold… or, box it up!!

Have a great Friday ~

OK … One more!

Joy to the World

Are thoughts of Christmas going through your mind yet? Kind of hard when it’s 92 degrees and humidity levels the same … it was way to hot -n- humid for me, so thinking about Christmas helped cool things off!

I have another sample from the Peace and Joy bundle for you today … a little more stamping on this one.

Beginning with an Old Olive base and card front … the card front is stamp in various images with Old Olive ink. Then the Old Olive is stamped onto the Whisper White to create a focal point.

The die cuts are done in Real Red, Cherry Cobbler and Gold Foil … then layered to create the dramatic greeting that catches your eye.

Layers on layers on layers with the Peace & Joy Bundle! The 9-piece Joy Dies were made for stacking to create eye-catching, dimensional holiday cards for your loved ones.

Thanks for coming by today, how are you enjoying this bundle? I’d like to here.

Have a good day ~

Two for Tuesday: Baby Wipe Technique

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

How is your week going so far? Hope well … as today I’m sharing two cute cards that showcases the Baby Wipe Technique. You will see two different ways to use those baby wipes.

I am using the Borders Abound stamp set, baby wipes, and Pool Party, Coastal Cabana and Pacific Point. You begin by laying out your baby wipes (I used the kind from the $ $tore) and then you add a few drops of ink in each color onto your baby wipe…

I chose these colors because I picked the snowflake border from the Borders Abound stamp set … now you can use this “inked” baby wipe as your new multi-colored stamp pad. I’m starting simple on my first card ….

I stamped my “multi-colored” snowflakes near the bottom and then added my Christmas greeting … this comes from the “Arrange a Wreath” stamp set. I believe I used this on the 5 cards I shared with you on Sunday (Click Here to View). The snowflakes were kissed with Wink of Stella … just a touch to add a subtle sparkle, and then I layered with the Pool Party to tie it all together. I wish the picture showed the Wink of Stella … so delicate.

My next Baby Wipe technique card, I used the same snowflake border stamp, but this time it’s inked with VersaMark so I can emboss my Whisper White card front in Clear Embossing Powder. Once embossed …. I took my “inked” baby wipe and ran it over the clear embossed image. WOW What a fun impact it creates on your card …

I trimmed my baby “wiped” card front and mounted it onto some Pacific Point. The white background was “speckled” with the Wink of Stella. Tap your Wink of Stella pen against another pen or a block to sprinkle the Stella onto the background … it’s beautiful! The little Wink of Stella spots shimmer and the heavier ones look silver, and they add such a wintry touch to your card.

I’m thrilled that you can actually see the little shimmer and silver spots from the Wink of Stella. And I love the look of “brush strokes” on this card … it appears as if you hand painted it!

This is one of those fun techniques (one of my favorites for Fall cards) where you get more bang for your buck because you can create two different looks from your Baby Wipe technique.

I’m not sure about you … but I come away with inky fingers when I do the “dragging” on the Baby Wipe technique. Some like to wear gloves, I don’t mind the inky fingers unless I’m going someplace nice.

I hope you enjoyed today’s technique and cards … I’d love to know what you’d like to see. Leave a comment below so I can better meet your stamping needs.

Thanks for the visit today, it’s appreciated. See you tomorrow!

Here is a list of the product I used to today’s cards. Find out more information about these products by clicking on the image … or you can begin your shopping from here as well. Thank you!

My Holiday Favorites …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

On Saturday I shared over 30 cards and 3-D projects of some of my favorite retiring items, and as we enter the last stretch I thought it would be fun to share my Christmas fav’s …. I’ve got over 20 samples, they wouldn’t fit onto Saturday’s post.

Most of my avid customers already have most of these stamp sets and dies or punches, they are fun to create with and are so very versatile.

Let’s start out with the DASHING DEER …

Dashing Deer brings the serenity on nature into this Christmas set yet can be made quite sophisticated.

Introducing Winter Wood …. I used these a lot together (Dashing Deer & Winter Woods) Again, you will see elegance intertwined with nature … pure beauty.

My next pick is the MAKING CHRISTMAS BRIGHT …. These two are fun and whimsical and sure to brighten up anyone’s holiday.

The last I’ll be sharing is MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL … This is the perfect stamp set and coordinating dies if you are looking for greetings and sentiments.

A women of few words today, but I think the card samples and products speak for themselves. I have enjoyed using these for the past couple of years …

If you would like to purchase any of these items, I have them listed below.  If you would like help, please let me know by contacting me 262-334-1009, or lindaluvs2stamp@aol.com

STAMPING SUPPLY LIST …

Simply Sunday: Lots of Cheer / Guest Stamper: Jenny F.

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I will be sharing with you three projects created with the Lots of Cheer stamp set, one of which includes a Christmas card I received from my friend and fellow demonstrator Jenny F.

You can spread lots of cheer using classic images with a twist from the Lots of Cheer Stamp Set!  You’ll find this cute stamp set in the 2019 – 2020 Annual Catalog …

Let’s start with Jenny’s card …

She used the cute snowman image and created the amazing background with the Pigment Sprinkles.  The Pigment Sprinkles are watercolor pigment crystals in exclusive Stampin’ Up! colors. Mix them with water to make watercolor backgrounds and washes, and use them for other watercoloring techniques.

It’s always nice to see what else you can make with a stamp set you purchase, so my second project is a cute little gift box. I personally like this wreath … reminds me of those green and red ones you can find in the stores now days …

The last project I’m sharing is another card using the snowman. The simplicity of the card really highlights the snowman… and the blue just reminds you of the tones of winter.

Hope you enjoyed today’s fun and versatile stamp set … Lots of Cheer.

Thank you for sharing a part of your Sunday with me, I hope you have a beautiful day.
