Today I have a 3-D project to share with you that has a touch of scrapbooking flair! As the temperature drops, there’s no better time to embark on a journey of artistic expression, and the Bee Mine Suite is here to make it even more enchanting. This whimsical assortment features an array of “bee”utifully designed stamps & papers; from buzzing bees and honeycomb patterns to sweet sentiments that evoke the warmth of heartfelt emotions. 

I want to share and inspire you with this cute creation ….

Let’s start with what makes this a 3-D project … this cute little picture frame that I picked up at the $$1.25 Store! This is a cute picture frame to begin with and holds a 4″ x 3″ photo, so that is the measurement of my designer paper. These cute little projects make the PERFECT Grandparents Gift on Valentines Day and cute to have around the house as your 3-D Scrapbook. Friends love these too!

The photo montage can be easily moved into your scrapbook. I attached the bee and jar of honey with a glue dot (Just enough to hold it) and then using your Take Your Pick tool… you can remove it as well to go into your scrapbook. 

The sentiment, bee and jar of honey all come from the Bee Mine Suite.  I used the Circle Die from Stylish Shapes and the banner die from Nested Essentials to embellish my creation and to create the focal point! And yes, that is my Armani again. This one is going to his mama for Valentines Day ❤

Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper & the Split Card Technique

To my paper crafting enthusiasts … if you’re on the lookout for new and exciting ways to showcase your creativity, let me share this cute card with you. Today, we’ll explore a fantastic technique that not only lets you make a set of 16 cards effortlessly but also highlights the beauty of the Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper. Get ready to be inspired by the Split Card technique!

The Split Card technique is a simple yet impactful way to create stunning cards with a unique design. For this project, I’ve chosen the Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper to be the star of the show. This exquisite paper features delicate lavender patterns that add a touch of elegance to any project. 

Start by cutting your Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper into equal 3″ x 3″ squares. These squares will be the basis of your Split Card design. If you like the “matted” look, cut thes square at 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″. Each will be cut diagonally from corner to corner (same with mat) then layer the designer paper to the mat. Arrange them in opposite corners on your cardstock, leaving a gap in the middle. The negative space created by the gap adds a modern and dynamic element to your cards, and a perfect space to add your greeting.

Now, let’s bring in the Paper Butterfly to take your cards to the next level. Choose the size butterfly you want and color it using the Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, and Berry Burst Stampin’ Write Markers. The combination of these vibrant hues will make your butterfly pop against the lavender background… and let’s not forget the “WOW” from the Wink of Stella. The Stella will actually “moisten” your inks so they will blend together. 

To add a touch of sparkle and sophistication, embellish your cards with Purple Fine Shimmer Gems. These gems complement the color palette perfectly and bring a subtle shimmer to your creations. Place them strategically on the butterfly or around the negative space to enhance the overall visual appeal. 

One of the fantastic aspects of the Split Card technique is its scalability. With just a single sheet of Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper, you can create a set of 16 cards with ease. This makes it an excellent choice for batch card-making or creating personalized gifts for friends and family.

Are you ready to bid adieu to this year in the grooviest way possible? Buckle up your roller skates and grab your Disco Ball stamp from the Curved Occasions set because we’re about to slide into the New Year with style and flair! 

The Curved Occasions stamp set isn’t your average set of stamps. Sure, it’s got the retro roller skates that scream ’80s nostalgia, but it’s also the secret weapon for any occasion you can think of…. Birthdays, thank you notes, or just because – these stamps have got your back.

But let’s talk about the true star of the show: the Disco Ball stamp. This stamp is the epitome of party vibes, shimmering with nostalgia and ready to turn any piece of paper into a dance floor. You can practically hear the funky beats just by looking at it!

I brought in the “Wanted to Say” and “Patchwork Pieces” dies to help this party get started … we all like to have our friends around, right? These two dies compliment our Disco Ball and New’s Years celebration card perfectly. I used dimensionals on every other panel to create that “glowing” look for the Disco Ball.

As the disco beats echo through the halls and the glittering ball drops at midnight, let your cards be the talk of the town. It’s time to slide into the New Year with style, pizzazz, and a whole lot of stamping magic…. But this bundle retires January 3rd, so grab yours today.

“Crafting Magic into the New Year: Stargazing Designer Paper & Patchwork Pieces Dies”

As the year draws to a close and we eagerly anticipate the fresh canvas of a new one, there’s a unique way to blend creativity with celestial wonder. Imagine the midnight sky sprinkled with stars, now envision capturing that enchantment in your crafts. Enter the delightful pairing of the Stargazing Designer Paper and Patchwork Pieces Dies – a dreamy fusion of artistry and cosmic allure.

I began with the “burst” pattern (on the right above). As you can see there are two different patchwork pieces patterns included in the set. I then chose the Stargazing Designer Series paper, and die cut it. If you haven’t see that designer paper yet ….

I cut my designer paper to 4″ x 5-1/4″ and picked one of the pretty galaxies in Blueberry Bushel / Night of Navy. When you cut your patchwork pattern, it leaves a frame, so I make sure to center the die on my paper. On this card I used the frame, on other cards you will see in the near future I may or may not.

I glued the frame onto a piece of Basic White measuring 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″. My die cutting machine does not cut all the way through, the center stays in tact (yet pulls apart easily) On today’s card I used that to my advantage and once centered within the frame I glued the center down.

Then I put Stampin’ Dimensionals on every other panel, and glued the others down. This gave me a lot of dimension & texture to the card… and it looks cool!! It looks as if it’s reaching out to you!!

I used the greeting from the Reach for the Stars stamp set and heat embossed it with the VersaMark and Silver Embossing Powder onto Vellum Cardstock. I used one of the dies from the “All That” set of dies.

Mounting it onto my card was a bit tricky because you see everything through the vellum, so I used the Blueberry Bushel Tinsel Gems 4-Pack to embellish the greeting and then I cut the dimensionals down to fit underneath so you couldn’t see them!

This New Year’s Eve, let your creativity soar to the stars with the mesmerizing Stargazing Designer Paper and Patchwork Pieces Dies. Embrace the celestial allure and weave it into your crafts, ushering in the new year with cosmic charm and endless possibilities.

Stargazing Suite; It’s Out of this World!

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I’m thrilled to share Stampin’ Up!s Stargazing Suite! You’ll find in our 2023-2024 Annual Catalog on pages 86 & 87. This suite blew my mind and has me over the moon with excitement. Not normally my first pick out of the catalog but I bought it on a whim and soooo happy I did. I’m amazed at how much fun I’m having creating with a suite I didn’t even know I wanted!! My grandkids are going to LOVE these …

For this card I used Pumpkin Pie for my card base, Basic White, the Stargazing Designer paper and the Holographic Specialty Paper. The background was cut directly from the designer paper, only one planet was die cut.

Measurements:

  • Cardbase: 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ scored and folded at 4-1/4″
  • Holographic paper: 4″ x 5-1/4″
  • Designer Paper: 3-3/4″ x 5″

I used a 4″ x 5-1/4″ sheet of Basic White to stamp both the Astronaut and the Space Shuttle (as I call them) I mentioned in the video that I stamped several at a time, and then die cut them all. I did the same for the planets on both card #1 and card #2. It’s so much easier to just keep making cards when the basics are all ready for you!

The dimensions for Card #2 are exactly the same as our first card! My card base is Berry Burst and I used the funky holographic design (it has a pattern). Don’t forget to cut some stars out of the center of your holographic paper … want to use a much as you can, and no one will see it anyway.

I colored the shuttle with the LIGHT Night of Navy Stampin’ Blend and then highlighted it with Wink of Stella … that gives it the blueish silvery tone! Looks cool right!

“A Season of Reflection and Gratitude: A Message This Christmas”

On this Christmas Eve I write to you as you may have noticed my absence over the past few days, and I wanted to take a moment to share a glimpse of why these days have been incredibly precious to me.

This year has been marked by a profound loss for my family. In October, we said goodbye to my great grandson, Armani. His departure left a void that seemed insurmountable. But amidst this heartache, something beautiful emerged—our family grew closer, drawing strength from each other in a way we hadn’t before. (I was helping him put his Christmas presents together last year).

The past few days and during Christmas are about cherishing every moment with my family. We’ve held each other a little tighter, laughed a little louder, and found solace in being together during this holiday season. That little boys love touched so many. 

In the midst of this personal journey, I’ve been profoundly moved by the unwavering support you’ve shown me, both personally and in my stamping business. Your kindness, messages of encouragement, and understanding during this time have meant the world to me. Your support has been a source of comfort, and I’m deeply grateful for each and every one of you who has been there for me.

From the depths of my heart, I wish you a blessed Christmas. May the holiday be filled with warmth, peace, and the joy of being surrounded by those you hold dear.
