Simply Sunday: Christmas

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

I hope this Sunday finds you and your family well. Today I would like share with you a quick yet beautiful card, along with a paper-savings tip!

I will begin with the “Trim the Tree” Designer Series Paper Stack and the Cherry Cobbler 1″ Sheer Linen Ribbon.  My intent was to create a card that looked as magnificent as a present under the tree!

000_1542

The Trim the Tree DSP is 4-1/2″ x 6-1/2″ and will have to be trimmed down.  Put your paper into the cutter horizontally (longest length) to 5-1/4″ and trim.

000_1547

Now turn 90º – align paper to 4″ mark and trim.

000_1548

Here is what you have … save your extra pieces as you will be using them!

000_1549

As you can see, the skinny piece goes on the inside of your card, and the wide piece fits nicely on your envelope.  You will need to trim off just a small piece!  No scraps! HINT: Be sure to get it on securely as it needs to run the the post office machinery.

000_1545

The greeting is from our Hostess special … YOU can earn it FREE by hosting a stampin’ party or placing a qualifying order of $300… gather your friends, it’s that easy.  Contact me for more information.

I hope you found this post as fun as a present under your tree!  Enjoy your paper savings!  To purchase any of these items just click on the links posted below.

Thank you for coming to my blog and have a great day!

FREAKY FAST FRIDAY …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today’s card share is a cute Halloween card created for “Freaky Fast Friday!”  We all have busy lives so it’s great to have a card that you can copy quickly… and nothing helps with a quick card than a cute stamp set and some great designer paper!

000_1541

I began with the Motley Monsters Designer Paper and the “Halloween Street” stamp set.  The designer paper takes all the work out of choosing the correct color pallet because it is there for you!  I used the Tangerine Tango and Daffodil Delight for my base and to highlight my stamp set.

I added a bit of color to my greeting with the Daffodil Delight and Tangerine Tango markers.

For a touch of dimension, I tagged the card with the Pumpkin Pie and Crushed Curry Chevron Ribbon.

000_1539

It’s always easy to create with our designer paper, and now you can get a FREE pack each month. If you love our fabulous designer paper, there’s no better time to purchase the $99 Starter Kit (a great deal in itself), than during the month of October!

Into the Pumpkin Patch ….

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Happy Sunday to you.  Today I’d like to share the last of my Motley Monsters trio … three cards from one sheet of the designer paper.  Believe me, I have enough to make another 3 cards, if not more!

The beautiful leaves on yesterdays card were flipped over to the pumpkin side today … How fun would it be to walk through the pumpkin fields as cute as these.  My cat & bat are the leftovers from the Motley Monster line up on Friday’s card.

000_1520

That’s what I call great left overs … all I did was stamp the “Trick or Treat” greeting from the Good Greetings stamp set. Don’t forget you can get this stamp set for free with a qualifying order or hosting a stampin’ party.

000_1523

I added a strip of Crushed Curry for a pop of color and then wrapped it with burlap strings that I pulled off of the burlap ribbon.  I love that it’s crimped and adds a natural look and great texture to the card.

Another quick and easy card using the fun Motley Monsters Designer Series Paper. I’ll be back to share more Halloween and Autumn cards.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Simply Saturday: Grateful

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Yesterday I shared a card using the “Motley Monsters” Designer Series paper and said that I would be sharing more. So today I have used the a piece of the leftovers from yesterday to create a fall card … a card of Gratitude.

My base colors are Tangerine Tango and Crushed Curry which comes from the designer paper, and then I turned the designer paper (yes … this is from Motley Monsters) and turned it so the leaves appear to be falling to the bottom.

000_1512

I used the new “Merry Everything” stamp set and the coordinating “Note Tag” punch, then topped it off with the “Tangelo Twist” ribbon.  You can save 15% if you bundle the two on your purchase.

I tipped the greeting so it also appeared to by gently falling with the leaves.  Don’t you just love autumn!?

The greeting was of course “popped” up with our Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Dimensionals. The inside was completed with a piece of Whisper White for your note, and a touch of the designer paper at the bottom.

000_1513

Such a sweet and simple card that can be created in just minutes!

Thank you so much for stopping by Linda’s Stampin’ Escape today … I am truly grateful.

Have a wonderful day ~

Oh yes … I was going to tell you which of the “Motley Monsters” on yesterdays card was my favorite … It’s that cute little skeleton!  Here’s a list of ingredients for today’s card.

Trick or Treat …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

It’s FRIDAY!!! And it’s been a while since I did a “Fast -n- Furious” Friday so I thought I would bring it back today.  I have a cute and easy card for Halloween… your ghouls & goblins will love it.

We will begin with the “Motley Monsters” Designer Series paper. It is so fun to use, in fact … for the next 2 days I will share with you 2 more cards that are not only made with the Motley Monsters, but with the same sheet of paper!

Over the next few weeks I will be doing a Halloween showcase … so stay tuned!

000_1505

For this card I simply cut this piece of paper down to 5-1/8″ x 3-7/8″ … I then matted it with Bermuda Bay and mounted it onto my Basic Black Base.  That easy!

The greeting is for our hosting promotion stamp set, Good Greetings.  You can get this stamp set for FREE by hosting a home stampin’ party, a book show, or by placing your own order … $300 in sales is all you need.  This is above and beyond your regular hostess dollars!  Sweet!!

000_1508

The greeting is highlighted by the Word Window and Modern Label punches.  I used the smallest of the pearls and dyed them black with a Sharpe® … I like the way it anchors the greeting.  I used the Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop it up and create more texture.

Don’t you just love these Motley Monsters? Can YOU guess which one of these little guys is my favorite? Put your response in the comment box … I’ll let you know tomorrow which one it is.

Thank you for coming to my blog today …

Hope you have a sweet one!

Trimming the Tree Christmas Card …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Welcome to a brand new week! Yesterday I shared a “glitzy” Christmas card so today I’d like to share a card inspired by one of my Christmas trees that I decorated in the past.  I did a nature inspired tree with raffia, cardinals and stars.

100_2325

The card reflects the tree in many ways, the colors are warm and inviting … Crumb Cake, Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler. I used the linen thread to reflect the raffia on the tree.

000_1471

To pull the cherry color in I used the Basic Pearls and colored them with the new Blendabilities “Cherry Cobbler” collection.  I color them while they are still on the paper and then transfer them to my card.

I created a focal point by highlighting the tree with a “Crumb Cake” oval.  I used dimensionals to pop it up and create added dimension to the card.

I even brought the stars in with the use of the “Trim the Tree” paper stack.  I love those paper packs … when I cut down the paper to the desired size (usually 5-1/4″ x 4″) I use the left over pieces to decorate the inside of the card and my envelope.  I love it when everything coordinates … one of the things that drew me to Stampin’ Up!

The sweet “Merry Christmas” greeting is from the “Good Greeting” Hostess stamp set … which you can get for FREE when you host a $300 stampin’ party.  That is in addition to the Hostess benefits you already get.

000_1477

So gather your friends and lets make some awesome cards, pull together a book show, or just place an order yourself.  Choose any of these options, I’d love to help you get your “Good Greetings” stamp set! Contact me today … this offer ends October 31st!

As always, I have the list of supplies that I have used to make this card below.  Click on any one for full details or to begin your shopping experience.  Please let me know if I can help in any way.

Have a wonderful week ~

Gratitude for Days …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I’d like to share some cute projects created by one of our concept artists, Jen.

There are some darling kits in the new holiday catalog. Today we are highlighting the Gratitude for Days Simply Created Kit. I love the bright colors and patterns. The coordinating stamp set also has some great images for any card or project.

Here are Jen’s creations playing with this cute kit.

1. Add a little pocket and note to a treat or gift. I love being able to tuck a little message inside the pocket. And there are 30 of these cute clips in the kit that are perfect for attaching the pocket to your gift.

Gratitude For Days_crbQuick thanks tag

2. Create a little birthday “card” that holds both a message and a gift card. Use the number stickers to represent your recipient’s age. Stamp on the lined pocket card and add a sweet birthday wish. This is super-quick and easy.

Gratitude For Days_crbGift Card Pocket

3. Use it with Project Life. This kit coordinates beautifully with the Happiness Is Project Life Card Collection. If you cut down the pockets from the Gratitude for Days kit, they become 3″ x 4″ specialty cards—which you can then add as an interactive element to your Project Life layout. Insert the lined card in the pocket with journaling, or use it to store ticket stubs/memorabilia.

The coordinating stamp set is also great for memory keeping. It helps prompt journaling about things you’re grateful for.

I had a lot of fun playing with this kit. There are so many fun ways to use it!

Guest Stamper … Cindy S.

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Happy September! Today I have a fun card to share with you, created by one of my Star’s group members … Cindy S.  I believe this may be the last of our swap cards, but not to worry … we meet monthly!

Cindy used our exclusive RMHC stamp set, Flamingo Lingo.  I was not much of a Flamingo person before, but I am totally falling in love with this stamp set.  Besides … for each stamp set we sell – $3.00 is donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Click directly onto the Ronald McDonald House to learn more about this amazing charity.  See the houses that host families so that they may be close to their seriously ill or injured children.

Cindy used the Melon Mambo and Basic Black markers to bring her Flamingo to life, and created a focal point by using the Ovals Collection Framelit dies. The background is the Decorative Dots embossing folder.

000_1399

The pretty flowers that draw your eye from the focal point to the greeting can be found in the Flamingo Lingo stamp set, and coordinate with the Petite Petals punch.

Cindy used the “And Many More” stamp set for her greeting and used the fun combination of the Word Window and Modern Label punch… they look great together!

I think Cindy did a great job and I thank her for sharing.

Thank you for dropping by today.

Hope you are having a safe and Happy Holiday weekend,

Festival of Trees …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

So sorry I missed you yesterday … I was not on holiday, but was having technical difficulties, but I’m back and as promised I have the “Good Greetings” and “Festival of Trees” card to share.  Actually, two cards today!

A sweet and simple card for Saturday (now Sunday) that will brighten anyone’s holiday spirit.  I picked  Cherry Cobbler and Almost Artichoke for my color pallet.

The tree I used, one of five in the set is fun to use when you pop that second color in with the coordinating dots!  They even have garland included in this set.  If only decorating our trees at home where this easy!

000_1424

My background was embossed with the “On Point” embossing folder that is also in the Holiday catalog.  You know … you could use it for a cute Birthday card – just have them pointing as if they were arrows!  Or for those of us from Wisconsin, turn it upside down … Ice cycles falling from our roof!  LOL

My greeting of course is the “Good Greetings” stamp set… Free with a qualifying party of order.  I used the square punch to create the banner ends and then curled them up for a more dramatic look.  A pretty little bow created with the bakers twine completes our first card.

contact me hostess special

I used the same color pallet and stamp sets as I did for the first card.  I love showing how versatile the stamp sets are, and how different cards can look when just changing up a background.

On this card, I stamped the background with the “Good Greetings” stamp set instead of using the embossing folders.  I think this is a fun, creative way to use your greetings!

I created my focal point on this card with the use of the Oval Framelit dies, it really shows off our floral tree so beautifully.  The trees on both cards were popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I love that extra dimension on a card.

000_1428

This card was completed by tying a simple bow with the Cherry Cobbler seam binding… it adds a bit more elegance to the card, where the bakers twine fit better on our first card.  Each type of ribbon has a purpose, and I’m so glad we have a wonderful variety to choose from.

Hope you enjoyed today’s showcase of the Good Greetings and Festival of Trees stamp sets.  The Festival of Trees can also be purchased in a bundle, with a coordinating punch!  I love coordinating punches… and Bundles!  Who doesn’t love to save 15%!

Thank you for stopping back …

I hope you have a wonderful day.

The Green and Gold …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Yesterday I said I would share a card with you, that I created with the new August “My Paper Pumpkin”.  Well as luck would have it, one of the note cards was Green and Gold … and what do you think a girl from Wisconsin would do with those colors!!!

Make a birthday card!! LOL  It’s  a bit on the “manly” side, thought it was time for one.

000_1375

The card is quite simple to create … I used the Banner Framelit Dies and cut it from the note card.  I took the star and trimmed it down to the star shape.

The greeting comes with the kit, as did the greeting banner … I just flipped it over because I didn’t want the pink lines to show.

000_1377

OH MY … is that a sneak peek I see?  Yes, it’s the NEW Star border punch from the Holiday Catalog!  Did you get your’s yet?  Let me know if you need a Holiday Catalog, I’ve sent one to each of my club members and on-line shoppers… but if you do not have a demonstrator, I’d be happy to get you one.
