Two for Tuesday: Snowflake Showcase

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I’m thrilled to show you this amazing new product suite …

Today I’ll be sharing 2 beautiful cards with you along with pictures of the product so you can see for yourself how amazing this is.

Snowflake Showcase isn’t just for winter, these products are perfect for year round. Don’t believe me? Shannon West, from the Riverton home office, is here to show you how Snowflake Showcase is perfect for everyone.

Amazing right!! First card I have is from the Snow is Glistening stamp set (149742) …

You can’t have this amazing stamp set without the coordinating dies, which by the way, coordinate with BOTH stamp sets!!

The second card is from the Happiness Surrounds Stamp Set (149744) …

I am always looking for stamps and die sets that work for more than one season, it just makes sense and a better investment. I also fell for the fonts … they are fun and readable greetings and salutations.

And, if you’re like me, you like to grab up those coordinating embellishments. The cute Snowflake Trinkets are simply lovely …

The Snowflake Trinkets are a great way to embellish your cards, or your ears, neck … are you catching this? They are so cute … why not make jewelry out of them. Embellish a gift package with them, Christmas is just around the corner!!

AND … if you are a paper junkie like I am (Three sheets short of being declared a hoarder – LOL) You are simply going to FLIP over this new White Velvet Paper!! It is so cool and of course, velveteen to the touch.

I feel head over heels for the Snowflake Showcase and will be introducing it to my Retreat Attendee’s this weekend, but don’t feel left out, I have a special card to share with you tomorrow!!

I will also be hosting a class or two, I just need to figure out the details, so keep your eyes open and make sure you are on my mailing list. YOU will NOT want to miss this one!!  This showcase will be available to order November 1st through the 30th or while supplies last.

Thank you so much for joining me this Tuesday, be sure to stop back tomorrow to see what I did this this set so far.

Have a wonderful day ~

Halloween Week: SCRAPBOOK

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’m going to share with you a quick -n- easy scrapbook page that was created out of scraps! Last year our Stamp Club made a Halloween card using the Seasonal Chums bundle … No longer a bundle but the stamp set and dies are still available.

And I used the cut out circles to create the background for today’s scrapbook page.  I simply just glued the circles on using the Tombo Multi-Glue.

The title was created from my computer, the kitty’s were created from the “Spooky Cat” bundle and “Spooky Night” Designer Series paper … also from last year (sorry … but we have to use up that paper sometimes!). I thought it was appropriate since she was dressed as a little kitty cat!

I wish all my scrapbooking would go this quick -n- easy! I need to remind myself to “Keep it Simple” because the photo is your reason for scrapbooking in the first place 🙂

Thanks for checking out my blog today.

Hope you day is a beautiful one!

Today’s Supplies used to create the scrapbook page …

Can’t resist a good party!!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I’ve been so busy at work training new staff members and at home working on my Holiday Stampin’ Retreat that in less than 2 weeks I’ll be joining my fellow demonstrators for a wonderful celebration … 30 Years!!

I hate to miss any of the Stampin’ Up! events but no way would I pass up a major milestone!  I have a few of my own that I will be celebrating … Lifetime sales of $500,000, Personal Sales, Recruiting – Level 1, Leadership – Level 1 and yes, the Incentive Trip!!  All expenses paid trip for 2 … Cruising the Greek Isles!! I thank YOU!!

Here is a shot of the 25th Anniversary in Salt Lake City with the Theme: Be The Difference …

Always a fun time at Convention (Now OnStage) We were treated to special cupcakes!! Looking forward to see what they have in store for us this year.  They are sending those of us who have achieved Silver Elite or above to Epcot for the day with a special area for us to visit and pick up a special gift!!

Speaking of gifts, Stampin’ Up! treats us royally while we attend our events.  These are all the goodies I brought home with me from the 25th Celebration …

I enjoy these Stampin’ Up! events so much, and it’s more fun to go with my team members! Why don’t you join us and come with us this April 🙂

Thanks for joining me today, I hope your day is a good one!

Star of Wonder …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

As I prepare for my upcoming Holiday Stampin’ Retreat in two weeks, I reflect on past retreat and how many wonderful people have joined us, the creative projects we have done and the fun!

We’ve had some amazing cards and last year’s Holiday Catalog was packed with some amazing stamp sets. Yesterday I shared some beautiful cards from the Snowflake Sentiments stamp set and today I have one from the stunning Star of Light stamp set.

We created several cards using this amazing stamp set but this was one of my favorites. Simple in layout but it speaks loudly in its design.  The musical notes are a tie in to the verse which almost plays in my mind like a beautiful Christmas song.

The star is die cut from the Starlight Thinlits from Gold Glimmer paper, first the detailed die in the gold and then the solid die in Basic Black.

This may not be in the Holiday Catalog but you’ll see there are amazing Holiday stamps in our Annual Catalog as well.

Hope you enjoyed todays little flashback.

Enjoy your day ~

TODAY’S STAMPIN’ SUPPLY LIST …

Throwback Thursday: Snowflake Sentiments

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’m sharing with you some of the cards I made last year from one of my favorite stamp sets, Snowflake Sentiments and the coordinating framelits; Swirly Snowflakes.  If you need some inspiration for Christmas cards this year, try one of these stunning cards … I have four to share with you today.

This card was created with Fresh Fig and Whisper White with a touch of Silver … oh so classy! You can see how sweetly the silver snowflakes fit into the die cut edgelit.  You can use any color pallet to create this card… the new Shaded Spruce would be beautiful.

The greeting was heat embossed with Silver emboss powder to coordinate with our Silver Foil paper. To add a touch of texture, I used the “Softly Falling” embossing folder.

My next card was cased from the talented fellow demonstrator – Mary Brown. I made my card using Very Vanilla instead of the Whisper White Mary used. I loved that Mary cut the snowflakes apart to create her card, so we did as well … it is too stunning not to share.

Cutting the snowflakes apart was a big hit, but how would you love to see the card with the design cut per the die? Well, that is what Chris did and I love the way the snowflakes look draped down from the top.

The last card I would like to share is a simple layout but oh so pretty …

I fell in love with the stamp set and coordinating dies, and now you know why.  I am thrilled that Stampin’ Up! put both the stamp set and dies in the annual catalog!!  So pretty and so many different looks you can create.

Thank you very much for coming along as we go back into the holiday archives and share some beautiful cards.

I hope you have a wonderful day ~

Simply Sunday: Masculine Birthday Card

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I hope you are having a nice, relaxing weekend.  Yesterday I shared a beautiful card created by one of my team members, Kathy.  She used the Winter Woods stamp set.  I loved the simplicity of her card so much, I used her idea to create todays Masculine Birthday Card.

The tree was inked up with Old Olive and stamped 3 times … almost looks like a blizzard!!  This technique gives the card dimension just by stamping.  I also added the texture of the Softly Falling Embossing Folder as Kathy did yesterday.

I added the plaid pattern from the Festive Farmhouse Designer paper to give it a more masculine feel, reminds me of a flannel shirt that my grandpa used to have.  That gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling.

On that note I’ll let you get back to your Sunday and I thank you for hanging with me for a while today.

Enjoy your day, I’ll be back tomorrow with another card share.

TODAYS STAMPIN’ SUPPLY LIST …

Winter Woods & Guest Stamper: Kathy C.

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Last night my Star’s by Design team met for stampin’ up dates, a light dinner and some stampin’ & swappin’.  So today I’m going to share one of the “Swap Cards” … it was made by Kathy using the beautiful Winter Woods stamp set.

The Winter Woods bundle is so much more than a holiday stamp set, these versatile trees can be used for any occasion! Kathy gave her card some dimension simply by stamping her tree twice without re-inking the stamp, giving you the lighter trees in the back that look further away!!

Don’t you love the way Kathy stamped her trees at a slight angle … gives the appearance that the trees are sitting upon a winter wonderland of snow … then, she added a some great texture by embossing with the Softly Falling embossing folder … it all looks so serene and peaceful. A simple greeting with a pop of color to attract they eye and her card is done!  Stunning!!

Such a beautiful card and so easy to make!  Follow me for the next few days as I share a few different seasons / holidays using the Winter Woods bundle.

Until then, I thank you for popping in today to check out my blog post and Kathy’s beautiful card.

Have yourself a wonderful day ~

Flashback Friday: Autumn Fun

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Thought it was time to have some fun and reminisce about past fall fun! I’ve got two “punch” cards to share with you today and a scrapbook layout.

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays (I love them all) but this is the time of year you can take a peek into the dark side all will having some fun… Halloween.

This card was created a few years back with this awesome border punch! If you punched on a 3 x 3 square piece, it created this frame … I’m sure some of you still have this border punch, so try it out because it also worked great when I used this frame on my scrapbook pages!

Now here is a really fun Halloween card created with punches …

I used the owl punch to create the ghosts (just flipped them upside down) … the pumpkins were created with oval and circle punches (3 each) and then you sponge the edges – I’m using Pumpkin Pie cardstock with Pumpkin Pie ink and then they are just layered together to create the pumpkin. They are so cute!

To make the gravestone I used a label punch …. I think the current “Everyday Label” punch would work great for the headstone! Then the stone was engraved (lol) handwritten by me.  It was just a super fun card to make.  Here is this years using the Paper Pumpkin September 2018 kit…

I simply used all the items in the kit to create this one … the headstones were the tags, and the ghost and bat were also in the kit… as well as the “spooky”.

My final share today is a quick and easy scrapbook layout…

You could easily replicate this page using the Natures Poem Designer paper and Natures Root Framelits dies. Actually this layout would be cute anytime of the year! It’s been a while since I got any scrapbooking done, maybe someday soon!

Thank you for stopping in and checking out my Friday Flashback! I love going back and looking at things I’ve done years ago.  Some can stay in the past (LOL) and some are timeless.

Have a wonderful day and hope to see you back tomorrow.

Technique Tuesday: Embossing Techniques

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I am going to share a video with you that covers several different embossing techniques!  Grab a cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate, sit back and relax while you learn some really cool techniques with heat embossing.

Embossing is one of my favorite techniques! In fact, it’s what turned my head and said … “I want to book a party!” But did you know there are many ways to emboss? Watch as Andrea demonstrates three additional embossing techniques: water embossing, embossing in any color, and faux metal embossing.

WOW … what did you think? There’s a technique I have never seen before like … water! Who knew!

Thanks for hanging with me today and watching the video.  Stop back tomorrow as I will be sharing a card featuring “embossing”.

Have a really good day ~

Country Home Hello

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Hope you had a good weekend and I hope you enjoyed my card yesterday from our Country Lane Product Suite. If you haven’t had enough … then I have another card to share with you that features the Country Home stamp set.

Many moons ago before I had my children I used to work in a flower shop, and this card takes me back to the late 70’s when dried flower arrangements were popular and so was arranging them in pitchers & coffee pots … a little bit country!  What’s interesting is that I have one of those mini blue tin coffee pots on my stove right now!!

I wanted this card to be a bit more rustic since yesterday we had the galvanized background, so I started with the Wood Textures Designer Series paper stack (I love browns and blues together).  I wanted to add some texture so I used a 1-3/4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Crumb Cake and ran it through the Corrugated Dynamic embossing folder.

Next I added a strip of the Chicken Wire Elements and added the beautiful new Night of Navy Gingham Ribbon… this ties the two elements together without leaving a harsh edge.  Then I tucked my sweet little “hello” onto the card.

I used the Stamparatus again to stamp my images…. one of the reasons was because I had precut the ovals and then placed them in a template, this is a true paper saver.

Just like yesterday, I used the Stampin’ Blends – the alcohol markers.  I colored the sides of my coffee tin with the Night of Navy first, then filled in the entire pot. I used the Color Lifter to lighten the center and create my “light source” … where the light would hit your object.

I did the same with all my colors, started with the dark and colored over with the lighter shade.  The berries were colored yellow (Yellow and Blue are for our Brewers!!)  And Marge … if you are reading this, please give me a call.

I colored the center flower in Night of Navy and again used the Color Lifter, after which I added a touch of the Wink of Stella to the flower and the light area of my coffee tin.

This stamp set and the cards I have created brought back many memories, whether they were of grandpa’s farm of working in the flower shop … it was a nice stroll down memory lane.

Thanks so much for coming with me … Let’s kick off this week with a warm hello.

Enjoy your day ~

Simply Sunday: Simply Country

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

How are you on this fine Sunday? Hope you are enjoying your weekend. With the chill in the air … I’ve been doing some stamping and preparing for my upcoming retreat. Yesterday morning I hosted my Saturday Stamp Club and I would like to share one of the cards that we made.

This month my clubs focused on the Country Land product suite on pages 42 and 43 of the Holiday Catalog. Today’s card features the Country Home stamp set, Galvanized Metallic paper, the Tin Tile Dynamic Embossing Folder and the Stampin’ Blends to create a simply beautiful card.

We first embossed the Galvanized paper with the Tin Tile embossing folder … these two combined are simply stunning. Gives you that old Farmhouse ceiling look! In keeping with the farmhouse look, I chose the Milk Can again and demonstrated how to attach the stamps onto the plates of the Stamparatus for perfect alignment.

Once we stamped our images…  we punched two of the corners with the Detailed Trio punch. You can find that on page 211 of the Annual Catalog.  We also punched the corners on the inside piece of our card.  We added the new Metallic Pearls to both the punched corners and our greeting!

Before assembling the card we colored … that is always such a relaxing thing to do, and with the Stampin’ Blends its also easy. We started with the milk can using the Smoky Slate / Dark and brought it down both sides of the can twice. Once that was done, we took the Smoky Slate / Light and colored in the entire can, then went over the area between the light and the dark to blend them. It’s almost like magic!! Here is my color pallet …

So not only did they get to learn the basics on the Stamparatus but got to see the amazing ease at which color-blending with the Stampin’ Blends can be. And who didn’t fall in love with the Tin Tile and Galvanized paper combo!

I hope you enjoyed todays card and please feel free to check out my schedule HERE for the date and time of my clubs and think about joining us … I usually have a couple spots for guests.

Thank you for joining me on this beautiful Sunday…

and I hope you have a wonderful day.
