Eastern Palace Suite: A Note for You

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Back today to share another card using the new “Eastern Palace Suite”.  This is also one of the cards we did in our May Stamp Club.  At retreat the ladies told me that they saw cards that were created with the Eastern Palace Dies that looked like a flower, so here is my version of the “flower” card …

I teamed the new In-Color “Lemon-Lime” with Early Espresso … it is so bold and fun, the flower look was perfect for this combination.  The background was stamped to give it a little dimension and I thought the design matched the little designs in the Designer Series paper.

The little leaf was cut from a piece of scrap left from cutting out the flower center. I used the Stitched framelits dies for the center.

We have less than one week to purchase the “Eastern Palace Bundle” … but this is some of the most fun I’ve had with a stamp set in a long time!

Here are the Eastern Palace Suite “Sneak Peek” bundles …

You can click on either of the bundles above to view the contents of each bundle. I love that you will get 3 of the 5 new In-colors!! Oh yes, and the free stuff. Please let me know if you have any questions on this product suite, or the bundles.

Don’t forget … we also have less than a week to take advantage of the retiring items (some up to 50% off) Once they are gone, they are gone, so don’t miss out. Contact me with any questions.

Hope you have wonderful plans with friends and family this holiday weekend, and take a moment to remember those who have paid the ultimate price in the fight to keep our country free.

God Bless ~

Simply Sunday: Retiring Hero’s

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

It’s that time of year… the Retirement List is out! It’s so sad to see some of our favorites leave, but you know there are some great new stamp sets coming!

One of my favorite stamp sets retiring it the Ronald McDonald House stamp set … “My Hero”. This stamp set touches my heart, because for every stamp set I sell … Stampin’ Up! donates $3 to the Ronald McDonald houses that host families so they can be near their children in the hospital with life threatening illnesses. I can’t image having to go through that, I’ve been very blessed to have healthy kids and grandkid … that’s why it touches me so.

This stamp set is so versatile it should be in everyone’s stamp collection!!  I have 7 card samples for you from this one stamp set! Let’s begin with a card that wishes you well (and the little umbrella ties in with April Showers).

000_3521

The umbrella in the “My Hero” stamp set coordinates with the Umbrella Weather Framelits on page 193 of our annual catalog.

Our next card is easy to make and I used the Layering Ovals Framelits to make my eggs and the Layering Square Framelits for my greeting.  Once you have these framelits … you’ll wonder how you ever made cards without them!

000_3519

This is the card that bears the name of our stamp set “My Hero”. Here I pulled out all the punches to create this card. The greeting stamp coordinates with the Best Badge punch and the Banner Triple punch was used for the banners … let’s not forget our stars!

000_3508

Now here’s a fun one … I this card I used the pumpkin face to adorn the lines cut from the “Swirly Scribbles Framelits”. Gently use the end of your scissors to curl the free ends.

000_3517

I used the Heart stamp to create this cute little Valentine’s card. The pretty paper comes from the “Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Paper” and the Sweetheart Heart punch.

000_3527

Next, our cute little “Celebrate” card. The designer paper is the “Festive Birthday”.  Again I used the Banner punch to create my banners and the band in the center was embossed with the Festive embossing folder to give it some texture and a little jazz!

000_3529

And last but not least is our Christmas card.  I used the “This Christmas” Specialty paper which is layered over the “Holly” embossed cardstock. Our greeting was punched out and layered over the Metallic Foil Doily and topped off with a Star from the Metallic Enamel Shapes.

000_3515

I wanted to share all of these cards at once so that you could see how versatile this stamp set really is. You can be a HERO, when you purchase the “My Hero” stamp set … $3.00 goes to the Ronald McDonald Houses throughout the US. It’s a easy way to help children fighting for their lives by keeping their families close to them.

Let me know if you have any questions or need help ordering this stamp set.

Thank you for stopping by …

Stay healthy and have a nice day!

Simply Sunday: Friends …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Back today with this simple and beautiful card that you can easily recreate for you friends and family. If you have some larger strips of designer paper, don’t throw it away … use it!  Here is a simple way you can whip up a card…

000_4133

I began with my designer paper; the Falling in Love designer paper and because I wanted to highlight the designer paper, I teamed it up with the Very Vanilla cardstock.  I also added a touch of the new Glimmer Paper Assortment Pack you can get for FREE from your Sale-a-bration purchase.

If your not into glimmer paper, I thought I would add a touch of lace which comes from the Delicate Details stamp set that is also a Sale-a-bration item and stamped in with Sweet Sugarplum which coordinates with the designer paper and the glimmer paper.

Our greeting comes from the Special Reason stamp set … and cut out from the Stylish Stems Framelits Dies from the bundle.

000_4133

Sweet -n- Simple … that’s how we like our cards!  Thank you for visiting me this Sunday. Hope to see you back tomorrow with another card share.

You’re My Hero …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Sorry for missing a post, but I got the flu and it really took me out of commission! Feels like I was mugged … my ribs hurt! Anyway … I can finally sit up so I’m going to share a review of some cute cards that feature the Ronald McDonald House stamp set … “My Hero”.

I have 7 card samples for you from this one stamp set! Let’s begin with a very appropriate card for the day …

SUGGESTED STAMPIN’ SUPPLIES …

Simply Sunday: Birthday Bash

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’m going to share 2 birthday cards. One is an invitation and the second a birthday card. Both of these projects are so quick and simple to make … I used the February Paper Pumpkin to make these.

Let’s start with the invitation … the “invite” portion is already pre-printed for you, and there are 12 of these invite pieces in the kit. I matted the invitation with a piece cut from one of the patterned cardstock pieces that are in the kit. You can get 2 pieces this size from the sheet and still have some left over.

000_4121

I wanted a little texture on the card so I embossed the Night of Navy with the “Simply Falling” embossing folder and used dimensionals to pop it up.

Our second card is for the birthday person.  Again I used the “Simply Falling” embossing folder, I didn’t want to add much more to my card, I wanted to mainly use the supplies in the kit.

000_4117

Not a Paper Pumpkin subscriber yet? Not to worry … you can easily recreate this card with some designer series paper.  I used the left over glimmer paper from the kits flames, and cut my flames using the leaf from the “Stylish Stems” framelits. There is even a smaller leave die you could use … they make really good flames for our candles.

I stamped the greeting in Flirty Flamingo ink that was included in the kit.  They sent use two spots this time … I save them all and used them when I need to edge a stamp with a different color, or when I’m using small stamps or alphabets.  They are really handy to have around.

It’s fun and easy to create with Paper Pumpkin, plus it’s on sale right now.  If you purchase the 3-month subscription, you can also chose a FREE Sale-a-bration item.

Thank you so much for sharing a part of your day with me.

Have a Happy Sunday!

TODAY’S STAMPIN’ SUPPLY LIST …

Celebrate Every Day …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have a fun card to share with you that is full of color and full of layers, yet super simple to put together! Oh yes, and I’m going to tease you again with that pretty Sale-a-bration Glimmer Paper that will be released on the 21st! It’s less than one week away!

To create this card I pulled out my “Celebrate Every Day” Project Life Card Collection. I don’t just use my Project Life for my scrapbooking … I use it for cards and more. There are so many fun patterns and verses. Both of the “cards” came directly from the kit, no trimming or cutting!

000_4092

Here’s a short video that shows your everything that you get in the Card Collection and Accessory pack.

Memory keeping has never been so easy! With the Celebrate Every Day Project Life Card Collection and Accessory Pack, you can quickly and easily create photo pages, cards, and more.

I am somewhat attached to those cute little heart embellishments too, they are from the Sending Love embellishments found on page 15 of the Occasions Catalog.  Hearts aren’t just for Valentines. It’s one of the most treasured ways to express your feelings without saying a word ❤

000_4092

I used the Tombo Glue to adhere the Glimmer Paper to the base, and the flower card to my Glimmer paper and the Heart embellishments to that card.  It works really nice without the worry of the card falling apart.

Let me know if you have any questions about the Project Life Card Collections, we have more in the annual catalog! They are fun and easy to play with.

Thank you for checking out my blog …

I hope your day is a good one!

Simply Sunday: Peek Through Technique

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today we’re pulling out the BigShot to create our Simply Sunday card, which features the Peek Through technique.  This is the technique my Technique Clubs learned this month and this is one of their cards.

It’s a done in our Sweet Sugarplum and Whisper White, in fact, we are using the “thick” Whisper White for today’s technique card. Our base is in the Sweet Sugarplum and our Thick Whisper White is our 4″ x 5-1/4″ front.

000_4077

We are using the Special Reasons bundle found on page 42 of the Occasions Catalog. These special dies create our “Peek Through” by cutting the flower without cutting the edge so it gives you an almost negative image and allows you to see through to the back ground. It also comes with an outline die that will cut out the same flower … so it gives you two uses!

We used the Precision plate with our flower die and placed it onto our thick cardstock and rolled it through. It cut out beautifully and easily releases the pieces, however if you have the die brush you can use that to hurry the process of removing the pieces.

You can see from this camera angle that the entire white front piece has been popped up which creates a wonderful dimension to the flower and the card.

000_4076

The greeting comes from the Suite Sentiments stamp set found on page 54 of the Occasions catalog … you’ve seen me use this stamp set many times.  Did you know that the fonts in this stamp set coordinate with fonts from some of the other Occasions stamp sets! Good to know 🙂

The ribbon is the coordinating Sweet Sugarplum Ruched Ribbon and is used as an anchor to the card. Then just a touch of bling was added to draw your eye around the entire card, and it really completes it.

Thank you so much for joining me this Sunday,

I hope you have a wonderful day.

TODAY’S STAMPIN’ SUPPLY LIST …

Hoping Your Day is Perfect …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Hope you’re staying warm … burrrr, it’s cold out there!! But you gotta love Wisconsin, it’s going to be 42 degrees this weekend.  Our boots are always next to our flip flops … lol.

One of the most requested types of cards is “Quick -n- Easy”.  With everyone busy as ever, many of you are looking for quick cards that are still pretty.  My advise to you is … Designer Series Paper! You can create card so easy by using the paper as your background and your greeting as the focal point.

000_4063

Here I used the “Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer paper”.  This designer paper patterns consist of colorful floral designs which include some with copper foil. My greeting comes from my latest “go to” stamp set … “Suite Sentiments”. This is a basic design using my paper cutter to cut out my greeting mat.

You can easily change this up a bit by using any or our punches or fabulous array of framelits and thinlit dies to cut shapes for your greeting. Speaking of punches and dies … you could also use these to add a decorative touch to your card.I used the beautiful “Falling In Love” embellishments.

000_4066

By using any of our beautiful designer papers with any of our cutting tools, you’ll be sure to have a cute card done in just minutes! And don’t forget to add that special touch by adding a punched butterfly, a die cut dragonfly or any of our wonderful embellishments, even a doily would add a nice touch.

Hope you enjoyed my quick -n- easy card and the tips to get creative with a simple design.  Have fun with it, and feel free to share! You can post it on my facebook page Linda’s Stampin’ Escape/facebook.

Thanks for sharing a piece of your day with me!

Hoping your day is perfect.

TODAY’S STAMPIN’ SUPPLY LIST …

Simply Sunday: BEST. GUY. EVER.

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Sorry for the late post, computer troubles again … but my troubles actually worked out in the long run, because I stayed busy in the stampin’ studio creating more cards!

Today I have 3 cards to share with you!! All with the same layout, all with the same stamp set, and all with the same designer series paper pack! By the title of today’s blog: BEST. GUY. EVER. – you can tell that a “man card” was on my mind.

With Valentine’s Day only 8 days away … you’ve seen several cards already but not one specific for males. In the theme of my Simply Sunday’s, nothing creates a quick card like designer paper, and our “Serene Scenery” Designer Paper has awesome patterns for guys! I chose the antiqued wood look …

000_4050

The Crumb Cake base matches perfectly with this paper! And yes, it is one 4 x 5-1/4 sheet … all the texture and depth is actually in the beautiful photography of that paper! Tomorrow I’ll share another card I created with this paper.

Next I chose the stamp set … the wonderful “Suite Sentiments”.  I love this greeting set, it has a little something for every occasion. Today you’ll see it used 3 times. I wanted the greeting to be the focal point of the card so I used the “Stitched Shapes Framelits”. Once cut, I mounted it with the Stampin’ Dimensionals to give it some height. With the help from the Confetti Hearts border punch, I punched out some hearts from the Pool Party paper and attached them to my greeting with glue dots. Nice & Simple.

This card is a simply sweet card to give to one of your friends. The designer paper pattern (Again, “Serene Scenery” Designer Paper) reminds me of a warm summer day, full of dandelions just waiting to make a wish upon. The greeting is from “Suite Sentiments” and again was die cut using the “Stitched Shapes Framelits”.

000_4053

My color pallet for this card is Old Olive and Early Espresso. I added the Basic Pearls to draw your eye around the entire card and create balance. Besides, they are pretty and your friend will love them!

Can you see the theme here? The same layout, with the same stamp set:”Suite Sentiments”, all with the same designer series paper pack:”Serene Scenery” and die cut with the “Stitched Shapes Framelits”.

The final card I created uses the Cloudy Sky designer paper, it’s realism reminded me of the Ascension of Jesus so I used it to create an Easter card. Simply and pretty. I used the smallest flower from the “Blossom Punch” to make my flowers, and since I already had the pearls out from the previous card, I used them again in the center of my blooms.

000_4055

I know some of you are already gettin’ in the mood for the Superbowl, but I appreciate taking a minute out of your day to check out my post.  My team is out so if I watch it’s only for the commercials or takin’ a peek at the 1/2 time show.  Best bet is you’ll find me in my stampin’ studio 🙂

May the rest of your day be wonderful and your tomorrow even better.

What did we do “before” the … BIGSHOT!?

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

What DID we ever do before we got out BigShots? Some of us did the fussy cutting and the dry embossing but it was a lot of work! Today I’m here with two great video’s that will explain how easy the BigShot is to use and some great tips! It will explain “when” to use each of the plates “magnetic” and “precision” and which cutting dies to use with them. Then I’ll share 3 cards that I had made.

Say hello to your crafty friend—the Big Shot. It’s a manual, multipurpose die-cutting system that you can use to quickly and easily create die-cut or embossed shapes, tags, and 3D items. It’s portable; no electricity required. And we offer a huge array of dies and accessories to make your crafting fun and easy.

Flourish Thinlits Dies by Stampin’ Up!

My second video is a fabulously fun bundle to work with using your BigShot! Put down those scissors—there’s an easier way to cut detailed flowers and images! Using the Flourish Thinlits Dies and the Big Shot, you can make multiple die-cut flowers in minutes. Watch as we show you how.

TODAY’S FEATURED PRODUCT LIST …

Simply Sunday: Pull out the Paper Pumpkin

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Let me say “there is nothing easier than your Paper Pumpkin kits”.  Today I’m here to share some cute alternative projects that I made using the 2017 January Paper Pumpkin kit.

The first project I have to share is similar to the little Hostess Gift that I gave to Kathie for hosting an at home Stampin’ Party. I like to spoil my hostesses because they introduce me to some awesome people and we get to stamp!

000_4020

This cute gift box was easy to create … Simply use a punch, I used the heart punch, secure a piece of window sheet on the inside to create a window and so the treats don’t fall out. The little white heart is included in the kit as is the heart stamp that I used to put a little color around the edge of my heart, before stamping the greeting (also included in the kit).

The only thing that I added to my gift box that are not included in the kit was the “heart” from the Metallic embellishments.  It really ties all the gold together and looks cute!

My second project is a card.  Super simple … the base is Whisper White and the front is Blushing Bride – it matched the stripped vellum banner that came in the kit.  I used the round Metallic embellishments this time to anchor my banner. I created a background by stamping hearts all over the front… You could “step it up” and emboss the front with the “Happy Heart” embossing folder, that will add more texture.

000_4021

Next, I used a white heart from the kit but this time I used VersaMark to stamp on the heart and embossed it with Gold – coordinating the gold embossing on the banner (it comes that way in the kit)

The hardest part of creating this card was “where” to place the heart … by the banner, or near the bottom!  Which do you like better?

000_4016

Both of these cute projects were created in just a few minutes. Don’t forget, you can always just make your Paper Pumpkin kit per the instructions … I just want you to know there are many other options out there for you.  If you order your Paper Pumpkin before the 10th of the month … You will receive that month’s kit.

Hope you enjoyed today’s projects, and please let me know which way you like the card best.

Simply Sunday: Hello Love

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I’m back today with a simple Valentine card … or just an I love you card. I kept with the traditional red and white for my color pallet, which is what our “Sending Love” Designer Series paper pack contains.

I picked the pattern with the little dots that connect the hearts. With that thought I wanted to use the Stitched Shapes Framelits (they are now available again for purchase)  I used the oval shapes to create a focal point… my greeting.

000_3990

My greeting comes from the stamp set “Sealed with Love”. If you love this stamp set, consider the bundle and save 10% and enjoy the cute die cuts that are included.

I needed something a little different that had the Valentine look so I chose the “Sending Love Embellishments” … the wood embellishments add such a cute touch and a totally different color – natural. I used a Sharpie™ to color my Rhinestones and then placed them in the center of the flowers.

000_3993

Cute -n- simple that’s all it takes to let someone know you love them.  The little heart that is stamped on the inside has the same pattern as our wooden heart.

Thanks for taking time on your Sunday to stop by.

Just want to say on more thing … GO PACKERS!!!

Have a wonderful day !

TODAY’S STAMPIN’ SUPPLIES …

Sealed with Love

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I want to share with you a card I created using the “Sending Love Suite”. Valentine’s Day is such a sweet holiday … whether is to your soul mate or a grandchild with the bold designs and traditional colors in this product suite it’s easy to send your love.

For today’s card I’m using the “Sealed with Love” bundle which includes the Sealed with Love stamp set, Love Notes Framelits Dies, and the awesome stamp set … Suite Sentiments. You’ve seen this stamp set before on my Friend Card.

000_3943

I began by using the cool edge die that created this beautiful line of hearts.  It’s really easy, just line it up to the edge of the card and run it through the BigShot. I pulled up the inside of the hearts for a dramatic look and added texture.

I chose the designer paper with the pattern I thought looked a bit like stamps because I wanted to use the greeting from the Suite Sentiments stamp set … “Love is in the Air Mail”.  I just thought that was so cute!

The greeting was cut out and matted with the squares from the Stitched Framelit Dies … Good news, they will be available soon … I will keep you posted.

000_3945

If you look closely, you will see the “lips” on the envelope … I didn’t get a shot of the inside but it is stamped with the verse “Sealed with a Kiss” and the lips … too cute! So many great greetings / verses in the Sealed with Love stamp set.

Hope you enjoyed, it was a big hit in my January Stamp Clubs. It was easy to create yet very dramatic.

Thanks for taking time out of your day to visit with me… hope yours is a good one.

Take care ~

It’s the best time of year to join Stampin’ Up! During Sale-A-Bration, you can become a demonstrator for just $99 and choose TWO additional stamp sets for your Starter Kit—any stamp set, any price! (Excludes Sale-A-Bration sets and bundles.) Plus, the kit ships for free!

Let me know if you have any questions on the information I shared with you today. I’d love to show you and your friends some of the great new stamp sets and accessories in the Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalogs … OR to have you join my team. Join for the savings (like I did) and stay for the fun.

Thank you for coming back to check out my post today.

Have a warm and wonderful day ~
