On the card above, I cut 2 pieces of white cardstock at 4″ x 5 1/4″ and embossed both of them with the coordinating Hybrid Embossing folder. I then used a Watercolor wash technique to create my background on one of them, you simply use the Water Painters and Crumb Cake re-inker. The second embossed piece was die cut … I popped up the center and glued the edges to create a realistic sand dollar.

On my second card I used the Thoughtful Journey patterned paper as my background …

Images were stamped in Petal Pink, Crumb Cake and Boho Blue and then die cut. You can arrange your die cut images as you please. Our greeting was stamped in Boho Blue and die cut with the Spotlight on Nature dies! To complete the card, I embellished it with Iridescent Foil Gems.

Instructions:

  • Run Designer Paper polka dot square through Emboss Machine with Charming Duck Pond Dies
  • Place over Basic White square and stamp sentiment as shown with Pretty Peacock ink
  • Adhere Basic White square to back of Designer Paper with Tear & Tape
  • Adhere Designer Paper to card base with Stampin’ Seal
  • Tie Pretty Ink Pink Ribbon around Pretty Peacock Square in a bow as shown and cut with Paper Snips
  • Adhere square to card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • Cut Peach Pie cattails, Pretty Ink Pink flowers and Pretty Peacock Lily Pads with Charming Duck Ponds Bundle
  • Stamp frog onto Basic White Cardstock using Memento Black ink and cut with Charming Duck Pond Dies
  • Color with Stampin’ Blends: Peach Pie lily pad, Pretty Peacock edge of frog, Lost Lagoon inner area of frog
  • Adhere lily pads to card with Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • Adhere flowers to card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue
  • Adhere cattails to card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue
  • Adhere frog to card with Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • Adhere Shimmer Dots as shown with Take Your Pick Tool
  • Adhere Basic White layer inside card

I used the 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of designer paper to create my first card. This layout I’m sharing is very easy yet the designer paper makes your card look stunning ….

I used the Daffodil Delight Loose Frosted Dots … HINT: they really pop when you put them over “white”. I’m really liking these dots!

The second card uses the 5-1/4″ x 2″ piece … remember the 3/8″ strips are to be used on the inside of the card.

The second half of the Flirty Flamingo cardstock was used to this card base as well. I used Timeworn Type embossing folder to add texture behind our designer paper, there is also a pop of color – I used So Saffron cardstock behind it.

I’m back (internet went down) and ready to share! Today’s card comes from the Citrus Blooms bundle by Stampin’ Up! It’s an exquisite collection designed to infuse your paper crafts with the vibrant charm of sun-ripened fruits. It’s is ideal for adding a sweet, fruity touch to your projects, featuring speckled citrus stamps that can be brought to life with your favorite coloring techniques.

It’s teamed up with the coordinating Mediterranean Blooms Designer Series Paper. This 12″ x 12″ collection transports you to a world of sun-soaked citrus, hand-painted ceramics, and enchanting greenery. Inspired by the captivating beauty of the Mediterranean, the paper features intricate designs and vibrant hues that perfectly enhance the fruity motifs of the stamp set.

Measurements:

  • Night of Navy: 11” x 4 ¼”, 4 ¼” x 3”
  • Mediterranean Blooms: 5 ¼” x 4”, Cut out lemons from DSP
  • Basic White: 4” x 2 ¾”

Instructions:

  • Score and fold the card base in half as you would if you were making a normal card.
  • Glue the DSP to the Night of Navy card base.
  • From the DSP with the large lemons, fussy cut one of the images.
  • Stamp the sentiment using the Tuxedo Black Memento ink on the lower right corner of the Basic White cardstock.
  • Glue the Basic White cardstock to the Night of Navy cardstock, then glue this piece to the DSP on the card base.
  • Glue the fussy cut lemon image to the Basic White cardstock, making sure to not cover up the stamped sentiment.
  • Add 3 of the Night of Navy Opal Rounds to the front of the card.

Together, these products offer a harmonious blend of sweet, fruity imagery and picturesque Mediterranean elegance, making your crafting experience both enjoyable and inspiring.

As I hit the road with my granddaughter for a fun little getaway to Door County, I’m excited to share a delightful card with you, created by the talented Trayce Bauer from my Design/ Tutorial group. This charming card showcases the “Happiest Day” stamp set, perfectly complemented by the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper. It’s a beautiful combination that is sure to bring joy to anyone who receives it.

Here are the dimensions and step-by-step instructions to create this lovely card:

Measurements:

  • Boho Blue: 5 ½” x 8 ½” card base
  • Misty Moonlight: 2 ¼” x 5 ¼”
  • Basic White: 4” x 4”
  • Countryside Inn: 2” x 5”

Instructions:

  • Score your card base on the long side at 4 ¼” and fold.
  • Adhere the Designer Paper layer and the Misty Moonlight layer together and attach to the card front using Stampin’ SEAL as shown.
  • Stamp your sentiment using Misty Moonlight ink on the Basic White piece and die cut using the Perennial Postage dies. Then, stamp three dragonflies on the same Basic White cardstock piece using Misty Moonlight.
  • Stamp the dragonfly wings using Calypso Coral ink stamping off on scrap paper first for the bottom wings to get a lighter shade.
  • Hand cut the 3 dragonflies using your paper snips.
  • Attach the sentiment to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Attach the 3 dragonflies to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Add 3 Iridescent Foil Gems to the card front and Wink of Stella to the wings of the dragonflies.

My first card done in basic white beautifully captures a natural vibe. Stamped with “Happy Birthday” from So Sincere conveys your message without getting in the way! I love vertical stamps.

My second card allows the designer paper to seep out beyond the borders of the frame to create a soft flowing unique look. I also created a sunset by sponging on some yellow. The greeting comes from the Unbounded Love stamp set (can be purchased as a bundle) and die cut with the Perennial Postage dies.

Today, I am thrilled to share with you a beautiful way to send love, support, faith, and encouragement through handmade cards. For the first card, I chose the simplest of the Color Theory – Monochromatic. Just basic stamping … Shaded Spruce on white.

The second card also highlights the Monochromatic color theory. I love the look of “color on color” … it just adds so much dimension without layering! Again, I am using Shaded Spruce cardstock and ink.

My third and last card highlights the Analogous style in the color theory … taking 3 colors that are side-by-side on the color wheel. I choose Shy Shamrock, Pretty Peacock and Lost Lagoon. Oh my … I think it turned out so pretty and I used it as my background. I stamped the greeting in Shy Shamrock and highlighted it with the Rhinestones.
