Spring Blooms with the Easter Time Mix & Match Ephemera Pack

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

On Sunday, I shared a sweet little bunny card created with the Easter Time Mix & Match Ephemera Pack, and today I’m back with another simple, spring-inspired design—this time featuring the charming watering can. I love how this pack makes it so easy to create beautiful cards without overthinking every detail. The soft pastels, playful spring imagery, and ready-to-use pieces truly let the ephemera do the work for you, which makes crafting feel relaxing and joyful… just the way it should be.

For today’s card, I paired the watering can ephemera with coordinating patterned paper that instantly says spring is here. The vertical stripes add a cheerful pop of color, while the softer patterned panel balances everything out beautifully. The watering can—filled with delicate spring blooms—becomes the perfect focal point, layered over a subtle die-cut circle for a bit of texture and dimension. A simple “hello, spring” greeting finishes the card without taking away from the artwork, making this a lovely design for birthdays, happy mail, or just because.

I’m sharing the replay of my LIVE demonstration / a step-by-step video that walks you through both cards—the bunny card from Sunday and today’s watering can card. In the video, I share all the measurements, layering tips, and simple tricks I use so you can confidently recreate these designs or use them as inspiration for your own spring cards. Whether you’re brand new to cardmaking or just looking for something quick and stress-free, this project is a great reminder that beautiful cards don’t have to be complicated.

I hope you enjoy today’s card as much as I enjoyed creating it. I hope you enjoyed the video … soaking in the inspiration, and most of all—have fun crafting.

Nature Walk Sympathy Card featuring Prayers & Promises

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

If you’ve been craving time to create, breathe, and truly recharge, my Spring Stamping Retreat was created with you in mind. Yesterday I shared the invitation to this all-inclusive, in-person retreat—a place where creativity flows freely, your sanity gets a much-needed refresh, and you leave feeling relaxed, inspired, and filled with memories you’ll carry long after the weekend ends. Today, I want to show you how that retreat experience comes to life at the stamp table through one of the projects you could expect to create and explore together.

This card, created with the Nature Walk Designer Series Paper, is a perfect example of how inspiration, technique, and thoughtful design come together—something I intentionally build into every retreat experience. We begin with an A2 card base using Pretty Peacock cardstock, cut to 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″. A layer of Basic Black cardstock, cut to 4″ x 5 1/4″, frames the designer paper and immediately draws the eye inward. The distressed pattern I chose from the Nature Walk collection reminds me of a painted canvas—rich, textured, and quietly powerful. It’s the kind of paper that works beautifully for nature-inspired designs, masculine cards, and sympathy cards like today’s project, making it an incredibly versatile addition to your crafting collection.

At this stage, the greeting naturally becomes the focal point of the card, allowing the sentiment to speak from the heart. I used the Prayers & Promises stamp set, stamping the greeting in Pretty Peacock ink to create harmony across the design. To soften and balance the layout, I added layered leaves cut from both Pretty Peacock cardstock and the Nature Walk Designer Series Paper. This combination adds depth and visual interest while keeping the card elegant and meaningful—exactly the kind of thoughtful design approach we focus on during retreat classes as we explore new fun folds and techniques together.

And let’s talk embellishments for a moment—because sometimes it’s the smallest details that bring everything to life. The Holographic Resin Dots were the perfect finishing touch. I love how they subtly catch the light and reflect the colors of the card, almost like magic. These little accents add just enough sparkle without overpowering the sentiment, a design tip I love sharing during retreat sessions when we talk about balance and intention in cardmaking.

This is what my stamping retreats are really about—you. They’re about creating together, learning together, and giving ourselves permission to pause and enjoy something that fills our hearts. If this card inspires you, imagine an entire weekend built around that feeling. I would love nothing more than to share that experience with you at my Spring Stamping Retreat. Reach out to save your spot, and be sure to take a closer look at the Nature Walk Designer Series Paper and Prayers & Promises stamp set—products chosen with you in mind and perfect for creating cards that matter. 💙

Thank you for being the heart of this stamping community—your creativity, your friendship, and your love for cardmaking continue to inspire me! Till next time ~

An Unexpected Pairing: Cute as a Bug & Prayers and Promises

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today we will be turning an unexpected product pairing into a beautiful heartfelt card. Sometimes the most meaningful cards come from unexpected pairings—and this project is a perfect example of that. As you’re browsing your craft room or flipping through the catalog, I want to gently encourage you to look beyond the obvious combinations and think about who you’re creating for. When you design with a specific person in mind, products often come together in ways that feel natural, intentional, and heartfelt.

At first glance, the Cute as a Bug Designer Series Paper and the Prayers and Promises Stamp Set may not seem like a natural match. Cute as a Bug is filled with charming ladybugs, fluttering friends, and picnic-perfect prints that immediately feel playful and lighthearted. But this particular berry pattern stopped me in my tracks. It reminded me of my grandma—warm, comforting, and familiar—and that personal connection made it the perfect choice for a card meant to offer encouragement and care. This paper beautifully demonstrates just how versatile designer paper can be when you let emotion, memory, and purpose guide your choices.

The Prayers and Promises Stamp Set is truly one of those foundational stamp sets that belongs in every stamp room. It shares words of faith, love, sympathy, and encouragement—sentiments we all reach for when someone we care about needs support. Having a go-to set like this allows you to create meaningful cards with confidence, knowing the message will be just right for the moment.

My card begins with an A2 card base in Blackberry Bliss (8½” x 5½”, scored and folded at 4¼”). I cut the Cute as a Bug Designer Series Paper to 5⅛” x 3⅞” and layered it onto a Mossy Meadow mat measuring 5¼” x 4″. The combination of these rich, earthy tones grounds the card and gives it a calm, reassuring feel—perfect for this style of sentiment. This is a color palette you’ll find yourself reaching for again and again.

The greeting was stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock using a sentiment from Prayers and Promises. I die cut the sentiment with the Nested Essentials Dies, then die cut a second layer in Blackberry Bliss to place behind it. That extra layer adds a subtle pop of color and frames the greeting beautifully. I popped the sentiment up with Stampin’ Dimensionals to add just the right amount of dimension and draw the eye to the message.

To finish the card, I added a few Low Profile Sparkle Dots in green. These small details may seem simple, but they add a gentle touch of shine and tie everything together without taking away from the sentiment.

As you can see, these two seemingly different products blend seamlessly when used with intention. This card is a wonderful reminder that it’s not about following rules—it’s about telling a story, honoring a feeling, and creating something meaningful. If you enjoy designing cards that connect on a deeper level, these are products you’ll want to keep close at hand.

The next time you sit down to create, I invite you to start with a person, a memory, or a feeling—and then let your supplies fall into place. You may be surprised how beautifully unexpected combinations come together when you design from the heart. 💜

Until next time … Happy Stamping!

Made to Love: A Slimline Valentine Card with Shimmer & Style

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Love is definitely in the air—and this slimline card is the perfect way to celebrate Valentine’s Day in a BIG way! Slimline cards have quickly become a favorite because they offer extra space to showcase gorgeous designer paper and bold greetings, all while still fitting neatly inside a standard #10 envelope (4.125″ x 9.5″). They’re eye-catching, fun to create, and a wonderful option when you want your handmade card to truly stand out from the crowd.

For today’s card, I started with a slimline card base measuring 9 1/4″ x 7 1/2″, scored and folded at 3 3/4″. This size creates a clean, professional look while remaining completely mail-friendly—always a win! To add layers and visual interest, I added a Real Red mat cut to 8 3/4″ x 3 1/2″, followed by the star of the show: the NEW Made to Love Designer Series Paper, trimmed to 8 1/2″ x 3 1/4″. This paper is simply perfect for Valentine projects with its playful patterns and romantic color palette that instantly sets the mood for love.

Before attaching the layers to the card base, I wrapped the NEW Bubble Bath Faux Linen Ribbon across the front. This small step adds softness and texture, and the subtle linen look keeps the design elegant without overpowering the card. It’s one of those details that quietly elevates the finished project.

The greeting is where this card really shines! The word “LOVE” was die cut from the Pastel Shimmer Paper using the Party Alphabet Dies and popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals for added depth. The Pastel Shimmer Paper adds such a beautiful, soft sparkle—just enough shine to catch the light and make the greeting feel extra special. With delicate pastel shades and a subtle glow, this paper is a lovely addition to cards, scrapbooking, and all kinds of paper crafts. The pack includes 6 sheets (2 each of Bubble Bath, Lemon Lolly, and Pool Party) in a generous 12″ x 12″ size, giving you plenty to play with.

To finish things off, I couldn’t resist adding the Softest Spring Mix & Match Puffy Stickers along with a few Rhinestones. These little embellishments bring in just the right amount of whimsy and sparkle, tying everything together while keeping the overall look light, fun, and full of love.

Slimline cards are a fantastic way to showcase beautiful products, experiment with layers, and create something a little unexpected—yet still practical. This design is perfect for Valentine’s Day, anniversaries, or anytime you want to send a heartfelt message with maximum impact. If you’re looking for products that make creating “wow” cards easy and enjoyable, the pieces used here work together beautifully and are sure to find their way into many future projects. After all, there’s always room for a little more LOVE in our crafting—and in our mailboxes 💕

Thanks for sharing a little crafty time with me today! I hope this slimline Valentine card sparks your creativity and inspires you to give these beautiful products a try. Until next time—happy stamping and keep spreading the love… one card at a time! 💖

I invite you to join me for the SPRING MINI CATALOG Kick-Off Party ….

It’s 5 O’Clock Somewhere

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

If your feed looks anything like mine, it’s been Black Friday this, Cyber Monday that, and Christmas everywhere you turn! So today, I decided we’re taking a tiny detour from the holiday hustle. My card features the Celebratory Sips Suite, and let me tell you… this adorable POP-UP card is the perfect little getaway. No snowflakes, no sales—just a cute, clever design that will make every fellow sip enthusiast smile. Cheers to a crafty escape! 🍷✨

Let’s begin … My cardbase is Basic White and cut 11″ x 4 1/4″ then scored and folded at 5 1/2″. I like using the “tent fold” every now and then – it surprises people! As you see, my card begins with a Bloody Mary (I am from Wisconsin – lol) This simple layout has an embossed background using the Exposed Brick Embossing Folder – I just love the texture you get with this.

The back drop can be any designer paper you want to use to highlight your images, I went simple with a black and white dots, and a black mat to really draw attention to the focal point – my cocktails. The drinks were die cut with the coordinating dies, however I did fussy cut around the edges of the garnishes.

The greeting was die cut in Old Olive using the Stylish Shapes Dies. The were placed in the opposite corner on the back drop to balance the card and allow you to see the designer paper on your backdrop … subtle, and effective.

Are you ready for the POP!?

🛠️ How This Pop-Up “Box” Card Is Made

  • Start with a 3″ × 3″ square of cardstock. Score it every ¾” — so you’ll have three score lines, dividing the square into four equal ¾” × 3″ panels. When folded, this becomes the “box” or step mechanism that pops up.
  • Fold along the score lines to form the little “box.” The two end panels will act as the base tabs. Add adhesive to those end panels. These tabs will be glued over the fold line inside your card, meaning one end will glue to the “floor” of the card and the opposite end will glue to the “back wall” (or top half) of the card when closed.
  • With the “box” in place and secured, you now have a raised horizontal shelf inside your card — perfect for attaching your decorative elements (like the bottles, glasses, fruits from your Celebratory Sips Suite paper).
  • Make sure your pop-up shelf folds flat when the card closes. Once open — boom — you’ll get that little scene popping forward, giving dimension and surprise.

And there you have it — a cute & sassy card with a little pop-up sip station tucked right inside! It’s bright, it’s fun, and it’s guaranteed to bring a grin to anyone who opens it. Great birthday card for a guy or gal. I mean… who wouldn’t love a surprise cocktail bar popping out at them? 🍹✨ Creating this one reminded me that sometimes we just need a playful escape — a little creativity, a little color, and maybe a little something to sip while we craft. After all… it’s 5 o’clock somewhere, right?

Thanks for stopping in for a sip & a smile today… cheers to more creative moments ahead! 🍹

Runner-Up Spotlight – Jolly Holly Bundle Beauty! 🎄

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

It’s time to celebrate our Runner-Up in the Fall Stamping Retreat Attendee Swap Contest — the talented Toni Morgan! 🌟

Toni created this stunning Christmas card using the Jolly Holly Bundle, and oh my goodness… it’s SO Christmas! 🎅💚 You all know how much I love holly — it’s one of those timeless images that just says “holiday season” to me, and Toni captured that beautifully.

She started with a Cherry Cobbler card base, then embossed the front with the coordinating Jolly Holly Hybrid Embossing Folder. This folder is really special — it’s one of those unique tools where a die fits inside the folder so you can cut and emboss at the same time! Talk about a timesaver that adds an instant wow factor!

Toni layered her design with a Very Vanilla mat, perfectly framing the card front and her greeting (stamped in Cherry Cobbler, of course!). One of the things my customers love most about Stampin’ Up! is the color coordination — the way ink, paper, and embellishments all match beautifully — and Toni showcased that perfectly here.

For her focal point, Toni used the two rectangular dies from the bundle — one to cut into the Cherry Cobbler layer, exposing the Very Vanilla beneath so she could stamp her sentiment, and the other to create a delicate gold frame that she layered around it. Such a clever design element! ✨

To complete her card, she stamped, colored, and die-cut the holly to adorn her framed sentiment, creating that festive finishing touch. And because Toni has an amazing eye for detail, she added the Cherry Cobbler & Pearl Adhesive-Backed Berries to her embossed background — giving her card texture, shine, and even more Christmas cheer. 🎁

This bundle was one of our Spotlight Sessions during retreat, so not only did attendees receive Toni’s beautiful swap card, but they also got to create three additional cards I designed to showcase the highlights of this wonderful bundle.

Toni’s card truly captures the joy and elegance of the holiday season — full of texture, color, and creativity. It’s no wonder she took home Runner-Up honors in our Attendee Swap Contest! 🏆❤️

I’ll be back tomorrow with our WINNER and her card. Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Buzz: A Bee-Themed Celebration!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today, we’re buzzing with excitement as I showcase a delightful card featuring the Bee My Valentine Bundle, but with a twist – it’s all about birthdays! Who said these bees were only for Valentine’s Day? I’m flipping the script and infusing some birthday cheer into our crafting with this fun and vibrant card design.

The front of the card is the vibrant floral pattern from the Bee Mine Designer Series Paper. This paper not only adds a burst of color but also sets the perfect backdrop for our birthday celebration.

At the center stage, our adorable bee friends are highlighted courtesy of the Perennial Postage dies. These fussy cut bees create a charming focal point, bringing the theme to life. But what’s a bee without its shimmer? A touch of Wink of Stella on the bee wings adds a magical sparkle, elevating the whimsical vibe of the card.

While the card may be buzzing with bees, it’s all about sending heartfelt birthday wishes. To emphasize this, I’ve cut the card front short to prominently display the birthday greeting from the So Sincere stamp set. It’s all about making sure my recipient knows they’re being celebrated on their special day!

No birthday card is complete without a bit of sparkle! Besides the Wink of Stella on the wings, I’ve adorned my card with iridescent rhinestones, strategically placed to highlight the stamped birthday greeting. These little gems not only add a touch of elegance but also make the card truly shine.

As card makers, we have the wonderful ability to create moments of joy and celebration through our handmade creations. Whether it’s a birthday, anniversary, or just a day to spread some love, there’s nothing quite like receiving a handmade card filled with thoughtfulness and care.

With the Bee My Valentine Bundle, I’ve shown that you can take a theme traditionally associated with one occasion and adapt it to suit any celebration. Birthdays are just the beginning – imagine the possibilities for weddings, graduations, or simply sending a “thinking of you” message!

Thanks for hanging out with me to discover what all the “buzz” was about!

Enjoy your Friday!

Halloween Birds …

Hello my Stampin’ Friends,

Today as promised … I have a Halloween card for you.  You won’t need to hide behind the tree’s as these little Halloween birds are rather cute! Of course I am using the “Motley Monsters” Designer Series Paper and the coordinating Bermuda Bay Cardstock.

000_1562

For those of you who have been following my blog for a while, you know that I love to dye my “Silver Glimmer Paper”. Today’s card I dyed it Basic Black!  It really highlights my “Halloween” … which comes from the stamp set “Halloween Street”.

000_1567

I used my marker to color the “Halloween” and omitted the house and the happy.  This is a great way to change up your stamps a bit.

I highlighted two of the cute little birds with my circle punches.  Simple … Simple … Simple!

000_1564

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful week.

Technique Tuesday … Kissing Technique & Video

Hello Stampers ~

Today is my second post for Technique Tuesday.  I will be sharing a Stampin’ Up! video tutorial along with my card share… yes, I will have a card for you too.  I thought it would be a great way to for you to see how the technique is actually done… almost like being a member of my Technique Club.

I’m going to start with a Stampin’ Up! video that introduces you to the “Kissing Technique”.  Enjoy!

Kissing

with
Emily Montoya
Have you ever heard of the kissing technique? We’re not talking about the technique with your sweetie-we’re talking about the one with stamps! Check out this sample featured in this video, see how the butterflies have an extra texture? It’s the beautiful product of two stamps getting together!

Wasn’t that fun!  How did you like the finished cards … so cute.  Here is the card that I created using the “Kissing” Technique:

Now for my card …

I thought it would be fun to add a little “kiss” to the frosting on the cupcakes from the “Build a Cupcake” stamp set and kissed it to the “Hello Doily” stamp.  I inked up the the frosting of the cupcake and kissed it to the Doily to create the neat pattern you see.

000_0905

Of course I then had to pull out the coordinating punch “Cupcake Builder”. Ahhh, so much easier than cutting them out.  My color pallet for today comes from the Retro Fresh Designer Series Paper: Very Vanilla, So Saffron, Coastal Cabana and Baked Brown Sugar … with a touch of Strawberry Slush added in!

I added a touch of the Retro Fresh DSP and topped it off with the Coastal Cabana Ruffled Stretch Ribbon.  Speaking of “topping” things off… I colored 3 of the larger pearls with a red Sharpie, and the put them on my cupcakes.

Finally, my greeting comes from the Perfectly Penned stamp set.  I don’t know what I will do when they retire that set… I use it all the time!

000_0907

Hope you take the time out of your busy day for a little kissing 🙂

Thanks for checking out my blog today!  Check out below for a list of today’s ingredients.

Wishin’ you a terrific Tuesday!

The Fab Four …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

A happy Sunday to you!  I hope you are having a fabulous weekend.  I have been in my stampin’ studio creating all weekend … it’s been far too long since I spent an entire day stamping.

Let me start by saying that “YOU” inspire me!  Yesterday I showed you a simple card and said… “Just think of all the wonderful cards you could make using this layout and some designer series paper!”  So I went into my Stampin’ Studio and created “the Fab Four” just for you!

Now … my “Fab Four” are not the Beatles, however I think it is amazing that they are being honored tonight … “The Night That Changed America: A GRAMMY Salute To The Beatles” on CBS Television Network tonight … Sunday, Feb. 9 at  8 p.m. ET/PT — exactly 50 years to the day, date, and time of the original event – the Ed Sullivan Show.

USPress_05_sm

My “Fab Four” are much easier to recreate … LOL  I decided to use the same stamp set as I did on yesterday’s card; A Dozen Thoughts.  Then I chose the “Quarterfancy Specialty Paper.  All 4 cards will use these two items.  The punch and ribbons will change slightly.

Let’s take a look at the first card share following the exact same layout as yesterday …

000_0732

I replaced the heart with the butterfly and the red ribbon to white.  A totally different look, just by changing out the paper and greeting; “you made my day” in Island Indigo!  I will have a list of ingredients at the end of the post.

Next you will notice a slight change, as the specialty paper is the “clear patterned” paper.  It allows you to use any color … I chose the Pink Pirouette and the “it’s a girl” greeting.  With the use of the large oval punch and the basic pearls, you can create a simply elegant baby card.

Its a girl

My third card share … I moved the ribbon down closer to the bottom of the card and stamped my “Wish Big” greeting directly onto the new “Essentials Wooden Elements” .  They can be found in the Occasions Catalog.

Now remember, these cards look totally different but I am only using 1 designer paper packet … don’t you love it!

000_0739

For the last card to round out my “Fab Four” … I changed it up by creating a horizontal card.  Same card pattern, of a ribbon, designer paper, and a greeting!  The button comes from the “Naturals Designer Buttons” found in our big catalog and idea book.

000_0738

Banners are “hot” right now, so that is why you see them on two of my four cards… besides they look cool.  Just like the hairdo’s the Beatles had when they first arrived here in the US.

So I hope you enjoyed my “Fab Four”…  One simple pattern, one designer paper packet, and one stamp set can be your basic tools to create many different card looks.

Thank you so much for spending a part of your day with me.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend ~

A Happy Birthday Note … Quick & Easy!

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Burrrrrrrrrr… it is cold again this week.  This has been a “heck” of a winter!  Hope you’re all holding up … even those of you in the 60 to 70 degree Arizona warmth. (tee hee)  We’re jealous!

Today I’m going to share with you a simple layout that will work with any Designer Series Paper and Stamp set.  Of course, I chose one of my favorites… you guessed it, I’m using the Timeless Talk Stamp Set and the Modern Medley Designer Series Paper.

000_0720

What a fantastic Birthday card!  Gender neutral … that is always good when we are creating cards.  A bit nostalgic, and I guess that is what draws me to this stamp set.

This sweet stamp set should be a must have in everyone’s collection … I love that the greetings are included in this set.  It includes a “Thanks” … a “Hello” … and of course the “Happy Birthday”.  Seems to me that rounds it out pretty good.

This card is so simple to make, I don’t have a lot of instructions.  The only thing that I forgot to add to my list was the “Ovals Collection Framelits”.  You can find them on page 186 of the annual catalog & Idea book (the big one) or click on the link.

I must say that I do use the Black StazOn ink pad whenever I stamp black images.  I think it works the best.

I added a few pearls just to jazz up the card a bit, and used my “Sharpie” marker to color them black.  You “MUST” use a Sharpie / permanent marker so that it does not rub off.

Stay warm … have a wonderful weekend and …

Have a great day!
