Dear Heart Photopolymer Stamp Set Samples!

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

From what I hear … boy stamps are almost as hard to come by as masculine ones.  Last week I shared a new stamp set “Dear Heart” with you, it’s the “boy” version of “Sweetie Pie”.  I saw these wonderful samples of cards and projects using the “Dear Heart” stamp set and knew I had to share them with you.

I give cudo’s to Cindy B. Stampin’ Up! Senior Staff Writer … not only did she design the stamp set, she created all the samples seen here today!  Thank you Cindy for sharing.

This companion to the Sweetie Pie Photopolymer Stamp Set has the cute boy images so many have been asking for! Recommended clear block sizes are A, B, C & G (not included in the set).

Don’t you just love the Green & Gold!  I wonder if Cindy is a Packer Fan 🙂

12 Quick -n- Easy Cards using Designer Series Paper!

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I thought I would share a recap of the many cards using the new Designer Series papers!  I thought this would be a great way to finish off the Quick -n- Easy cards series.

Our first three cards are from the “LULLABY” Designer Series Papers …

102_2414

000_1130

102_2436

As you can see, this beautiful paper can be used for many styles of cards … not just baby cards as the name “Lullaby” would imply.  I love the fun playful patterns in the Soft Subtle colors.

My next three cards are from the “PARK LANE” Designer Series Paper…

000_1175

000_1180

000_1187

Don’t you just love these papers!  The rich Blackberry Bliss color teamed up with colors like Old Olive and Soft Suede make these colors perfect for a man or women’s card… and the patterns are there to support it.

My next 2 cards are from the “Back to Black” Designer Series Paper ….

000_1195

000_1241

For me … this is my go to Designer Paper because you can team it up with any colors you want!   The patterns range from floral, to fun, to funky!  It’s great to pick out your pattern and then accessorize it the way you want … like having a little black dress!

The next two cards come from the “SWEET TAFFY” Designer Series paper and from my Quick -n- Easy collection …

000_1224

000_1230

This is definitely a fun designer paper to have around… the colors and patterns are just waiting for you to come out and play!

The next three card samples come from the “MARITIME” Designer Paper …

000_1072

000_1115

000_1154

This is a great designer paper to have in your collection!  Right off the bat you think masculine, guy cards … but you can see this is so much more!  From a playful kids card to yes …  a baby card!

Isn’t it great to see the different styles all together on one page!  I thought it was a great way to showcase the different designer papers in the different designer series packages.     Hope you enjoyed the cards.  I’d love to know which one is your favorite?

I’ll have the links below so you can just click on them and begin shopping.  Don’t forget …

A Wonderful Journey …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I want to share with you another card from my Quick -n- Easy series focusing on the Designer Series Paper.  My card is a bit more sophisticated than the fun and bold birthday card you saw yesterday.

Nothing says sophistication like black and white, so I pulled out the “Back to Black” Designer Series Paper.  It’s like pulling out your favorite outfit from your closet!  I used it as my background and with one of the banners so you could see two different patterns.

000_1236

I quickly made the banners using the “Banner Framelit Dies”, this is where I introduced the Mossy Meadow, one of the new 2014-16 In-colors.  I secured these to the top of the designer paper and topped it off with the beautiful Mossy Meadow Stitched Ribbon.  It’s so soft and ties beautifully.

To complete the card, I chose the new “World of Dreams” stamp set found on page 127.  This was on my wish list from the moment I opened the new catalog, it didn’t take long before it was in my stamp collection and I was a very happy stamper!

What a beautiful greeting … “Wishing you a wonderful journey through a world of dreams come true”.   The second greeting in the set is; “The best thing about a person like you is that you bring out the best in everyone”.  Perfect … perfect stamp set!

I stamped the saying in Black StazOn, then cut it out with the “Circle Framelit Dies”.  Lastly, I inked up the leaves in Mossy Meadow and “stamped off” onto scrap paper before stamping over my verse.  To create some dimension, I popped up the verse using the Stampin’ Dimensionals.

000_1241

It is a very easy card to make and the use of the framelits make it quick and professional looking.

Now is a great time to purchase the designer papers … It’s buy 3, get 1 FREE.

It’s your birthday!

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I continue with my Quick-n-Easy card series share with the designer paper.  I thought it would be fun to use the same designer paper and stamp set that I used yesterday!  I came up with a fun and colorful kids card for a birthday.

Our designer paper is the “Sweet Taffy” and I picked the stripped and polka dot patterns… that’s a whole lot of fun!  It’s the “Big News” stamp set,and I picked “It’s your birthday!” and yes, it’s suppose to have ink inside the letters 🙂

000_1229

My base card is Tempting Turquoise… I also matted the greeting with it.   I added the Daffodil Delight behind the designer paper to coordinate with the cotton ribbon and scallop punch behind the candle.  Whisper White was used for the greeting, the candle and the inside of the card.

I pulled out the Circle Collection Framelits to cut out my greeting and the mat.  I was tempted to do some paper piercing on the Turquoise mat some texture, but I said I would give you quick -n- easy! Feel free to step up any card with paper piercing.  It is easy and it adds a nice touch to the card.

I also did some punching, that’s always a quick and easy way to jazz up a card.  Today I used the 1-3/8″ Circle punch and teamed it up with the 1-3/4″ Scallop Circle punch.

000_1230

Yep … I did it, I broke out the glitter!  It’s been a while but I love the sparkle on the card.  I’m sure I’ll be sparkling for a few days too.  Even the shower doesn’t even get it all off, but it does look pretty going down the drain! LOL

Don’t forget that today is Tuesday and that means new Weekly Deals!  Click on the “WEEKLY DEALS”  picture below and check out what’s on sale today!

CM1634B

Thanks for stopping by today.  Not sure if I’ll be sharing this combination of  “Sweet Taffy” & “Big News” again tomorrow, but I will have another Quick -n- Easy card for you!

Have a great day ~

Hello … S’Up?

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

What’s Up?  Hope you are having a fabulous holiday weekend!  My “Hello” card share today comes from a swap from my sister Eileen.  She is showcasing the new “Hi There” stamp set found on page 18 of the catalog.

Eileen also highlighted 2 of the new In-colors … Hello Honey and Blackberry Bliss.  She used Whisper White for the S’ UP? and inside of the card.

000_1210

The beautiful designer paper Eileen used comes from the “Moonlight” paper stack.  Simply cut your designer paper to the desired width, and a bit longer than needed so it sticks out past your base.  Adhere and trim off the edges.

The “Moonlight” designer paper stack is not one of the designer papers on sale, but if you click on the picture below – it will take you to my website so you can see all the designer papers that are on sale.

buy3dsp_NA

The “hello” and “S’ UP?” were stamped in that tasty Blackberry Bliss color!  The “S’ UP?” was then punched out with the 3/4″ Circle punch.  Eileen matted it with the new Gold Glimmer Paper punched with the 1″ circle punch.

This is a perfect layout to use with any of the designer papers … Simple and fun!

Thanks for dropping in … enjoy the beautiful weekend!

Blooming Fast to Blooming Beautiful

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

My card share today reflects my “Fast Friday” theme.  This beautiful birthday card is so easy to make, you could pump out a dozen in less than 1/2 hour!!  It’s a great way to create a stash of birthday cards and then get back to the fun in the sun!

I began with the beautiful “Park Lane” Designer Series paper.  This package has many unique designs and will work great for the ladies, the guys and even the kids!

000_1174

I chose the floral pattern in Whisper White and Old Olive, and cut the paper to use the large flower as the focal point of my card.

The greeting comes from the new “Flower Patch” stamp set … fitting, don’t you think!  The “Flower Patch” stamp set is in the new Photopolymer material.  I love it, it’s perfectly clear and sticks to the blocks fabulously!!

000_1175

I then cut my greeting and Old Olive mat from the “Apothecary Accents” framelits.  I did not want the greeting to overpower the card, but just added a bit of bling to draw your eye to it.

I hope you enjoyed today’s quick card.  Stop back tomorrow … I’ll be sharing another beautiful card using the “Park Lane” Designer paper.

Thanks much & have an awesome day!  It’s Friday 🙂

Dare to Dream …

combined-poppies-800

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Let me first send my thoughts and prayers on this Memorial Day to all the service members and their families, who have sacrificed so much to give us the freedoms we enjoy in this country.  I thank you as well.

Today’s card encourages the receiver to “Dare to Dream”, so whether it’s a graduation, a new job or someone moving into a whole new life experience this sweet and simple card will fit the bill.  It’s simplicity makes quite a statement.

000_1093

I have been choosing to showcase simpler cards lately because our summers seem so busy, especially at this time of year.  Use this quick -n- easy pattern with any Washi tape to create your card and get back to enjoying your summer.

I will say … it’s getting harder to pick stamp sets, because many on the retirement list are quickly selling out.  The “Loving Thoughts” stamp set used for my greeting only has the wood mount remaining … the clear mount set is sold out.

The yellow checked washi tape comes from the “Gingham Garden” designer collection and is currently on sale… 30% Off!!  That is good news.

000_1095

As you can see, I added a bit of the washi tape to the inside too.  Washi tape is so fun and easy to use!

My butterflies were created by layering the punched Bitty Butterfly over the Elegant Butterfly.  I just love the way this looks … oh, and I used the “Watercolor Wonder” designer paper to punch the butterflies out of.  I used the “string” of rhinestones for the butterfly body.

000_1098

I finished off my card by anchoring it with the 3 rhinestones at the bottom.  If you haven’t guessed my color pallet by now … I used Whisper White and the beautiful Daffodil Delight.

000_1093

I have a list of ingredients at the end of my post for you.  Just click on it to view more details or to begin shopping.  We only have a few days left before these items retire for good.  Please let me know if I can help you.

Have yourself a wonderful day.

Thoughts of You ….

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Not sure how the weather is by you … hope it’s warm, but here in southeastern Wisconsin, it’s chilly again.  So today I’m going to share with you a lovely card that brings back memories of warm sunny days on the beach.

000_1066

The background was created with a simple watercolor wash using the Aqua Painter.  Choose the colors that remind you of a summer morning (or evening) as the sandpipers cross the beach.  The color pallet for the cardstock include:  Naturals White, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso.  The warm neutral colors really highlight the watercolor wash.

The sandpipers come from the “Wetlands” stamp set.  The simple reflections are already on the stamp so no extra work required.  Just image them running down the beach.  I can almost hear the sandpipers call!

000_1068

The “Thoughts of You” greeting comes from the very versatile stamp set – Loving Thoughts.  A fitting name for this stamp set!  I am really sorry that this is one of the stamp sets on the Discontinued Stamp List.  All good things must come to an end … only to make room for more beautiful sets!

Below is a list of ingredients used to make the card, just click on the item for more details or to begin shopping.

Thank you for coming along with me on my walk on the beach.

Wishing you a warm and sunny weekend ~

Happy Mother’s Day! (Sneak Peek)

Happy Mother’s Day to all my stampin’ friends,

Wishing all you Mom’s out there a wonderful and peaceful day.  And a big “Welcome” to all my new friends who have recently signed up to follow my blog.

What better gift could I give than to share a “sneak peek” from our upcoming 2014-15 Annual Catalog.  I chose a beautiful flower … the new “Blended Bloom”.  It was love at first sight, and I knew I had to have this one.

000_1054

My base card is Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White.  The flower is stamped with the new “Momento” Ink pad.  Looks a lot like the StazOn, but does not smell as good.  It is however designed to work with the new “Blendabilities” markers.

Most of the blendabilities come in a 3-pack.  I have used the Daffodil Delight and the Cherry Cobbler Assortments.  They are really easy to work with.  If you like to color and take your time blending … it’s your dream.  However, if you like a quick color, they work pretty nice for that too.  It did not take me long to color in and blend these colors together.

I added a bit of “lace” for Mom with the “Delicate Details” lace tape.  Holy cow is that easy to work with!!  It’s lightly tacky so you can place it down, and then reposition if you have too.  No adhesive needed … just assembly 🙂  I also tucked a strip of the lace on the inside of my card too.

000_1055

My Mother’s Day greeting comes for the “Delightful Dozen” stamp set and is stamped in Cherry Cobbler.  I regret to say that this fabulous set in on the retirement list 😦

I hope you enjoyed the sneak peak.  I’m sure you’ll be seeing a lot more of that flower from me!

Thank you so much for taking time out of your Mother’s Day to visit with me and my blog.

Happy Mother’s Day and Happy Sunday to all ~

Happy Retirement … Masculine Card

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I’m going to share a simple card you can easily recreate for your loved ones that are heading into retirement.  It seems to be that time of year!  We know all to well that this is the time of year Stampin’ Up! retires stamp sets and accessories to make room for the new!

My card is geared more towards a man, but I know of few women who are avid outdoors “women” so it would be perfect for them too.

000_1049

I began with the “Wetlands” stamp set.  I use this stamp set a lot … the greetings alone are worth the price, and I love, love, love, that wheat!  And, well the birds … what can I say “they’re perfect”.  I wanted the goose to stand out so I framed it using the “Ovals Collection” framelits.

And … what works better for an outdoor card than the “Woodgrain” embossing folder!  To make this pop even more, I brayered Crumb Cake Ink over the Crumb Cake cardstock!  You actually brayer after the cardstock is embossed.  It’s a simple technique and really makes the embossing stand out, and give it a real two-tone appearance.

000_1051

The goose was stamped with the StazOn™ ink and colored with the use of the Blender pens and Crumb Cake and Old Olive ink pads!  Easy 🙂

For my greeting, I chose the “Happy Retirement” for “Tiny Tiny Wishes” … I’m so happy that did not retire!  It has so many occasions and it pairs perfectly with the “Word Window” and “Modern Label” punches.

If you are ready for retirement… I wish you a happy one!

Thank you for dropping by today and …

Have an awesome weekend!

My 2014 Annual Stampin’ Retreat Swaps …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I am sharing with you just some of the swap cards that were exchanged at my annual Spring Retreat.  I must say … there was a lot of talent in our group this retreat!   All of the cards were wonderful.

Our first guest stamper is: Karie K.   I love the beautiful color combination Karie used with the “Polka Dot Pieces” stamp set.  Love the fold and the use of the “Scallop Tag Topper Punch”!  What a wonderful way to express birthday wishes!

100_2379

Our next Guest Stamper is Linda K.  This beautiful card shimmers with delight!  Linda’s choice to team up the “Brushed Gold” cardstock and Striped Gold Vellum in matching envelope is brilliant.   The vellum and the stamp set “Happy Congratulations” can both be found in the “Celebrate the Everyday” catalog.

100_2382

My next guest stamper is:  KATHY C.   Another fun fold card.  Like Karie’s Scallop Punch, Kathy used the “Angled Tag Topper Punch”, and used one of my favorite designer papers – Quarterfancy Specialty paper.   The beautiful flower is from the “Love & Sympathy” stamp set.

100_2381

Our next Guest Stamper is: OLIVIA H.  I just love the colorful way Olivia  say’s she’s “Thinking of You” which comes from the stamp set “Kind & Cozy”.  And who doesn’t love the “Gingham Garden Washi Tape”!  Sad to see that leaving the catalog 😦  Olivia finishes off her beautiful card with the “Elegant Butterfly” and the “Pearls”.

100_2384

My last Guest Stamper is: BARB L.  It is also the WINNER of our card contest.  Each guest votes for their favorite and Barb won a $25 Gift Certificate for more Stampin’ Up! products of her choice!

100_2383

I hope you enjoyed the sneak peek at our our retreat swaps.  I love having all the wonderful ideas and samples.  Like I said earlier … a lot of talented ladies came to stamp.  Maybe someday I’ll post more.

I’ll post a list of the main ingredients below,  that were used in the swaps.  Just click on them for more information or to purchase.

Thank you for stopping by ~

Simple Sympathy Cards …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Yesterday I introduced you to the “Simply Fabulous” Simply Sent Card Kit.  As you know, the retirement list went live last Monday and many of the items are already SOLD OUT.  Wow … they go fast!  As far as I know, the items shared today are still available, however the “are” on the retiring list so if you love them, get them soon.

RETIRING STAMPS LIST                  RETIRING ACCESSORIES LIST

We all know it’s hard enough to come up with a card when your in a hurry, but even harder when you or someone you care about has just suffered the loss of a loved one.   It’s so hard for me at that time to create a card, so I took yesterday’s solution using the Simply Sent card kits for quick cards, and added to it …

000_1025

I think this kit works beautifully for sympathy cards, and you can make up a couple of them right away so you won’t have to do it during that time of need.

I paired up the “Simply Fabulous” Simply Sent Card Kit with the “Thoughts and Prayers” stamp set.  I am happy to say that the Thoughts and Prayers is not on the retiring list.

I wanted to add some subtle color so I used the Pistachio Pudding both to back the lazer cut paper and the flowers.  The flowers were punched using the “Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack” – also on the retiring list.

000_1028

I used the “Glue Dots” to attached the punched flowers.  The pretty little gems come in the card kit, as do the envelopes.  Click on the link below to view the kit.

Our card kits are beautiful they way they are, as you saw yesterday, or you can easily change them to any occasion you need.

Thanks for visiting my blog today.

Have a wonderful week ~
