Its double-sided designs make it easy to mix and match patterns for the perfect card composition. Scrapbooking: More than a hobby … Perfect for Gifting

Scrapbooking is more than just a hobby; itā€™s a beautiful way to preserve those cherished memories and create something truly special for loved ones. Recently, I found myself looking for the perfect gift for my friendā€™s daughter on her wedding day. I wanted to give her something that would capture the essence of her special day and allow her to look back on it for years to come. Thatā€™s when I decided a personalized scrapbook would be the perfect choice.

I chose to make the book truly unique, I added the coupleā€™s names to the front cover. This simple touch instantly made it more personal, a keepsake that they could treasure forever. When I opened the scrapbook to start working on the first page, I found myself inspired by their wedding invitation. The delicate details and the soft colors were a perfect starting point. I incorporated elements from the invitation, using it as a background to set the tone for the rest of the book.

To add a bit of whimsy and love, I included little pink hearts, which I cut using the Wanted to Say Dies. These hearts added a sweet and romantic touch to the page, perfectly capturing the feeling of the day. On the following pages, I used the Nested Essentials Dies to frame the most important moments. These dies are perfect for highlighting those precious memories and giving them the attention they deserve.

Let’s start with what makes this a 3-D project … this cute little picture frame that I picked up at the $$1.25 Store!ā€‚This is a cute picture frame to begin with and holds a 4″ x 3″ photo, so that is the measurement of my designer paper.ā€‚These cute little projects make the PERFECT Grandparents Gift on Valentines Day and cute to have around the house as your 3-D Scrapbook.ā€‚Friends love these too!

The photo montage can be easily moved into your scrapbook. I attached the bee and jar of honey with a glue dot (Just enough to hold it) and then using your Take Your Pick tool… you can remove it as well to go into your scrapbook.ā€‚

The sentiment, bee and jar of honey all come from the Bee Mine Suite.ā€‚ I used the Circle Die from Stylish Shapes and the banner die from Nested Essentials to embellish my creation and to create the focal point!ā€‚And yes, that is my Armani again.ā€‚This one is going to his mama for Valentines Day ā¤

Let’s take a closer look at the Alternative Projects. My first was a simple take on the card by just removing one of the house stacks ….

The second card I took the houses from the landscape card and paired it with a card base that was colored with a Blending Brush and then spritzed with Wink of Stella….

The third card used the cardbase from the houses of our second card and added the Beary Cute Bears! The greeting comes from the “So Very Merry” from the Online Exclusive line. I inked “each” word separately and stamped it. I also added a scarf and hat to my bear “after” the Facebook LIVE ended…. I also added some snow from the scrap glitter paper around the banners in the kit!!

Measurements:

  • Cardstock: Real Read 8 Ā½ā€ x  5 Ā½ā€
  • Cardstock 2:  Basic White: 4ā€ x 4ā€
  • Merry Bold & Bright Designer Paper: 5 1/8ā€ x 4ā€
  • Black & White Gingham Ribbon: 12ā€

Instructions:

  • Score 8 Ā½ā€ side of cardstock at 4 Ā¼ā€.Ā  Fold and Burnish.
  • Card base: Make a tick mark at 2-3/4ā€³ along the 5-1/2ā€³ side and cut from the tick mark to where the center score line meets the top edge
  • Designer Paper: Make a tick mark at 2-5/8ā€³ along the 5-1/8ā€³ side and, with the tick mark along the right side, cut from the tick mark to the opposite left corner
  • Attach the piece of designer paper to the front with diagonal cut, leaving a border around the edges.
  • Take your Tear & Tape adhesive and run it along the bottom edge of that was not cut. This creates the pocket to hold your Hot Cocoa Mix.
  • Punch your first hole about 5/8ā€ from the edge and about 1/2″ from the diagonal.Ā  Doesnā€™t have to be perfect.Ā  Punch second hole about Ā½ā€ lower. This holds our treat tube.
  • Use your Real Red Stampinā€™ Blend to color your Black & White Gingham Ribbon. Let Dry.
  • Feed ribbon through bottom hole from the front side ā€“ pulling it through to the front side, feed it through the top hole.Ā  This creates a loop that will hold your treat tube.
  • Tuck your Treat Tube into loop and pull firmly.  Tie in a bow.
  • Stamp the ā€œCup of Cheerā€ image in Memento Ink onto White cardstock. Let Dry.
  • Use small Blending Brush to brush on Balmy Blue ink.
  • Using Stampinā€™ Blend; color as desired.  I used the three shades of Natural Tones for my cookie.
  • Die cut image with Largest Circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies
  • Attach with Stampinā€™ Dimensionals. 

NOTE: I used Crushed Peppermint (Candy Canes) and Nestle Hot Chocolate packets that I found at Walmart.Ā  Treat Tubes can be found on Amazon under ā€œTreat Tubes for Crafting / Candiesā€. Ā 

I just love how this turned out, and so easy to make! You will definitely spread cheer when handy out these tasty treat. If peppermint isn’t your thing, I found Mini-Marshmallows and Salted Caramel treats as well.

Practical Tips in Making Gift Boxes

With Christmas coming in quicker than some of us are ready for, today’s post is all about making Gift Boxes and some helpful tips. Although we’re talking Christmas these tips can help you make cute Gift Boxes all year long … so don’t put those Tricks and Treats die away because that is where the box die comes from.

Let’s take a look at the video and enjoy the ease of assembly and tips that I’ve shared, then we’ll take a look at each box a little closer..

Let’s begin with our simple box that we made using the One Horse Open Sleigh designer paper. Did you catch the TIP on using two sheets of designer paper with one die cut so the paper aligns when putting it together? Don’t you also love that you can stamp your greeting directly onto your designer paper ~ you may want to do it before you assemble because it would be much easier …lol. More tips in the first demo than I had planned / Oh my!! LOL

Our second Gift Box / Bag highlights the All About Autumn Designer paper and it’s foil sides … perfect for Christmas or any special occasion that you want to shine! We also used the Edgelit Die that is included in the die set. The greeting came from the Beary Cute Bundle and was die cut from the Nested Essentials Dies. TIP: Save that left over designer paper to create embellishments that coordinate with the packaging!

The last box was die cut with cardstock and highlighted with designer paper. TIP: (Designer) Paper Saving Technique. This comes in handy when you are making many boxes for co-worked, your kids classroom, or your team! The red check designer paper comes from the Joy of Christmas and the dies are from the Joy of Noel bundle. Don’t you just love that Adhesive Backed Silver paper!? Last TIP: Use the holes that you die cut, to mark and align the next cut … perfection!!

Countdown to the Mini Catalog Party: A Week to Remember!

Hello Stampin’ Friends!

I know I’ve been little MIA lately, but there’s a perfectly good reason for it ā€“ I’ve been having a blast with many of you on my Linda’s Stampin’ Escape Facebook page for the Countdown to the Mini Catalog party! It’s been three incredible days filled with creativity, games, prizes, and live demonstrations, and I can’t wait to tell you all about it.

Our party kicked off with a bang, diving straight into the spooky spirit of Halloween. We explored the exciting new products in the Mini Catalog designed for this hauntingly delightful holiday. From whimsical ghosts to eerie pumpkins, there was something for everyone to fall in love with. The comment section was buzzing with ideas and inspiration as we shared our favorite picks and creative tips.

This cute little bag was just one of the products shared during a LIVE demonstration. It comes from the Tricks and Treat Bundle, and includes the die to cut your favorite designer paper. It’s so simple, just cut 2 pieces out, fold on the score lines and glue the small flaps to the sides … then don’t forget to glue the bottom flaps!! And yes, I fussy cut the skeleton and his scaredy cat!!

As we rolled into the second day of the party, our focus shifted from pumpkins to twinkling lights and ornaments. The Mini Catalog’s Christmas-themed products had us all giddy with excitement. We explored festive card designs, handmade gift ideas, and elegant decorations for the holiday season. The virtual party room was filled with the sound of joyful anticipation for the most wonderful time of the year. I have so much to share with you yet.

Till then, let me show you the cute Christmas bag we made using the same bag die …. I used “A Walk in the Forest” Designer paper. The tree is also from the designer paper and was die cut from the Merriest Tree’s Bundle.

Just when we thought the party couldn’t get any better, I had a little surprise up my sleeve. I announced that I would be turning this fantastic gathering into a Mystery Hostess Party! The excitement in the virtual room reached a fever pitch ā€“ what an incredible twist! One lucky participant will get to shop with the party rewards.

Throughout these three days, I was reminded of why I love what I do. Being able to share my passion for stamping and crafting with all of you, my Stampin’ Friends, is an absolute joy. I want to thank each and every one of you for making this Countdown to the Mini Catalog party so special.

But let me tell you a little secret ā€“ this won’t be the last surprise you’ll see from me at my parties, events, or retreats. I’m always looking for ways to make our stamping adventures even more memorable, so stay tuned for what’s coming next!
